Here are some photos from last night’s NRJ Music Awards at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France. Taylor Swift was one of the big “gets” for the evening – she wore this Elie Saab minidress which I don’t really hate. It’s very “Taylor” as in it’s very sparkly and glitzy and light-colored and she’s wearing her long hair down (LIKE A PRINCESS!) etc. But she’s done a lot worse with those parameters – this dress is cut well, and it looks good on her. I’m so tired of those bangs. For real!
I suspect Swifty was trying to look amazing so that she could a certain someone’s attention. Because guess who else was at the NRJ Music Awards? ONE DIRECTION! Meaning that Taylor and Harry Styles were at the same awards show! This comes just days after Swifty tried to crack-stalk Harry in England (she flew in for no reason other than trying to meet up with him), and he reportedly “snubbed” her. So what did Swifty do? She sang “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” at the show. Of course. Because Swifty always gets dumped.
More photos… Alicia Keys in Michael Kors – I really dislike the cut of this dress. And I still find it hard to believe that she and Swizz are still making it work. I don’t get it. But whatever.
Carly Rae Jepsen wearing Izmaylova – I like everything except for the bust of the dress. I don’t care for those molded bra-cups on dresses, and it doesn’t seem in character with Carly’s more wholesome persona either.

Lol at the 1D boys being so color coordinated! It’s giving me early ’00 flashbacks of the Backstreet Boys and ‘Nsyc! Taylor’s bolt ons don’t look as awful here. And I don’t like the shoes (too matchy matchy) or her hair. She should get her veneers shaved down it’s like she can’t close her mouth. And it bothers me. I love that Harry and his uncut peen rejected her when she came to London to stalk him. That’s probably why she came to this award show too. Lol. You can’t insult a man’s manhood and expect him to take you back. Allegedly.
Alicia looks terrible. Her and her husband are cheaters, their marriage will last as long as people don’t look too closely at his philandering ways. And she has to save face because she had an affair with him when he was married.

Hoya I think Taylor looks like a mature young lady for once. I’m with you about AK look; I don’t like it. As for the cheating yes they did while he was still married but let’s not forget many people have done it. Brad and Angie for one as well as Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson. Cheating is wrong period but I think the relationship will not last b/c he is blowing through her money like Eddie is doing with LeAnn

I agree with you about the marriage. He is definitely using her. His celeb profile has risen significantly since he has been with her. People outside of the music world and urban media weren’t really aware of him before their marriage. The thing about the cheating you mentioned is that those people weren’t known cheaters prior to leaving their spouses for who they are with now. Tom and Rita seem solid as do Brad and Angie. I’m fine with the idea that you may find your soulmate at an inopportune time (ie while currently married to someone else), the tricky thing is leaving the first marriage with dignity and respect especially when there are children involved. Swizz Beats is a known cheater, like Eddie. Swizz has children around the same age with different women that weren’t his wife. I can’t get with that. Maybe I’m wrong and Alicia is his soulmate, but from his past infidelities and how beneficial his new found celebrity life has been I don’t really think so.

Amelia I only mentioned Brad and Angie to say that it’s not the first time celebs have entered into a relationship while one or both were already involved with someone else.
I think the main point of Hoya and my comment is that AK husband is a serial cheater and he is only using her as a cash cow because his career is not what it used to be. I hope I’m wrong and he is the one for her. But the way he is blowing through her money seems like he and Eddie Cibrian are cut from the same cloth.

Ugh I just watched the video on youtube…she is a terrible live singer. Don’t even get me started on the actual song…I think my 13 year old sister could come up with better lyrics about telling her boyfriend that they’ll never get back together, and SING it better than Swifty.

I don’t follow the black celebrity gossip sites so I am fairly clueless about how Alicia and Swizz’s marriage is going or if there have been any rumored problems in the last year or so. I too am surprised that they are making it work and look happy together in public. I guess he is trying to be on his best behavior because this will probably be the best and most high profile relationship he will ever be in. Alicia will boost his musical and business endeavors. I have a feeling they will be together for a while (maybe 5 years?).

My -very French – opinion is that they made Taylor Swift come and sing that specific song at those awards BECAUSE 1D would be there. She was not nominated, and is only known in France for being Harry Styles girlfriend – her music has been introduced to us very, very recently. That being said, I don’t think they were really together. There were many blind items about them sleeping in separate rooms and being contractually on a short-term relationship.

I love the outfit but yeah, I’m over the bangs now, I’m not sure what they’re supposed to be doing for her face anymore lol, watched the performance too, vocally not great at all, kinda embarrassing that harry is so much better at her than singing and I hope that that her next single from the album is one of her more mature sounding tracks, I like that she’s finally leaving her Disney princess phase but that’s quite hard to do when you’re singing a song that sounds like something written by a thirteen year old.
