Here are some more photos from last night’s NYC amfAR gala, the same event where Lindsay Lohan’s “crack attack” dominated. It was difficult to see past LL’s face, but I’ve managed to pull some of more interesting fashion photos for you. I guess Sarah Jessica Parker was the biggest “star” of the event, although I think she was one of the worst-dressed. SJP wore Maison Martin Margiela Couture which just looks like a shapeless sack with some cheap-looking ribbon details. If this came in black or grey, Angelina Jolie would be all over it.
Crystal Renn in Zac Posen. Um… er… well… at least her hair is dark again?
Heidi Klum in Michael Kors – this is one of her best looks in a while, right? Heidi usually goes full-on drag queen with her hair, makeup and fashion, but she looks amazing when she keeps it simple and minimalist. Still, her eye makeup is too dark and the necklace is overkill.
Doutzen Kroes. I love her, but I’m not sure about this color. Eh.
Alexa Chung in Chanel. Rough. Hate it. Don’t understand why she’s a thing.
Chloe Sevigny in Proenza Schouler. I mean… she looks like hell. But in her mind, she looks awesome and isn’t that what counts? Also: HER HAIR. Good lord.
Ashely Greene in Giambattista Valli Resort 201. The total look is okay but boring. I feel like she might have gotten a boob job?
Emilia Clarke (GOT’s Khaleesi!) in Zac Posen. This was one of my favorite looks of the night!

Yes what’s up with Doutzen? She used to have an AMAZING body but she keeps losing weight. She is drop dead gorgeous but looks better with her killer curves.

This cannot be healthy. My aunt is the same height (5’ 8”) as Alexa. She had stage 4 cancer and is down to 110 lbs, but she is still larger and her body looks healthier than Alexa’s. That makes me so sad.

It’s her low weight that gives her face that distinctive Bambi look. If she gains weight, she’ll be healthier for sure, but there will go the career niche she’s carved out for herself in the fashion world. Sad, but true.

I actually kind of like it too. I see it more for a fabulous dinner party with arty people and intellectuals who sit around after dinner drinking sherry and arguing modern vs. minimalist architecture though.

The only one who looks good is Emilia Clarke; the others range from alarming (Alexa Chung) to ridiculous (Crystal Renn). The color of SJP’s dress is nice but that’s pretty much the only good thing I can say about it.

SJP has always had the jolie-laide thing going on but the combo of her aging face and extreme fashion thinness is really bringing out the laide side of it these days. She still looks sort of okay all made up in good lighting but pix of her au naturel on the street make her look 70. She would look better in the face with some extra weight.

My son and husband think SJP is very unfortunate looking. I always thought she was kind of cute but now she’s looking rough. My son says “she has a face like a foot” whatever that means. I have no idea who Alexa Chung is or why she even has her picture taken.

Who or what is Crystal Renn? It sounds like something you quest for in a sub-Indiana Jones derivative PC game.
Also, I can’t quite decide what Chloe Sevigny looks like here. In fact I so can’t decide that I had to open her image in another tab to look at while I write this. Let me take a stab at it though – I think she looks like she borrowed her head from a character in a bad German horror film made in 1969 who was the psychotic matron of a psychiatric hospital for young ladies, while her dress escaped from a 1920′s fashion house reject pile and fled through time to where it met her boots, similarly on the run from the wardrobe department of a low-budget Underworld ripoff circa last year, and the two then formed some sort of unholy time-travelling fashion alliance in Chloe’s closet.

poor sjp. she has always been unusual looking which put a lot of pressure on her. She decided she was going to maintain a “banging body” and look at where that has left her face, hands, and arms. she looks rough. worse!
why she has said she hasn’t had plastic surgery, ugh. she bought some boobs and slimmed her nose. broke up with her mole.
i was thinking she is doing great by not having those horrible chicken cutlets put in her face but i’m not sure she hasn’t after reading through all the comments about her squished eyes.
i do appreciate she and chloe always wearing whatever they want or like. sometimes the choices are just fug but i respect a person that is willing to blaze their own trail.
