Kim Kardashian’s baby weight gain is big news in this week’s tabloids, as you can see from this week’s In Touch Weekly. As I said yesterday, I think the speculation and weight discussion is insulting and rather mean – I know it’s Kim and I know many of you dislike her, but I think the issue of “shaming a woman for her pregnancy weight gain” hurts ALL women. That being said, you can totally talk about her lip injections. They are crazy.
In other Kat-face news, Kim sat down for a deposition in her divorce case. TMZ has the details:
Kim Kardashian secretly sat for her deposition Tuesday in L.A. … and she testified under oath that when she accepted Kris Humphries’ proposal of marriage and when she said “I do,” she really did love him.
TMZ has learned … the deposition was taken at the offices of Kim’s lawyer … disso queen Laura Wasser (the pic was taken on their way in). It lasted 9 hours.
Kris Humphries’ lawyer probed for evidence that Kim defrauded Kris and only married him to goose ratings for her reality show, but we’re told Kris didn’t make any headway. He’s shooting for an annulment based on fraud, but sources say the depo didn’t help his case.
Get this … Kris did NOT show up for the depo. His lawyer made a big stink in court that Kris had a right to be there. He didn’t even have a game on Tuesday.
As for the reality show … we’re told Kim testified it played no part in her decision to tie the knot. Other than that, we’ve learned Kris’ lawyer, Lee Hutton, did not ask much at all about the reality show and whether it was staged. Hutton has made numerous threats that he would blow the lid off the reality show during the trial, so it’s surprising he virtually ignored it in Kim’s depo.
Kim has been gunning for a divorce for almost a year-and-a-half. The trial is set for May 6.
See? This is what I’ve been saying for so long and everyone always yells at me and claims I’m pro-Kardashian. You don’t have to be pro-Kardashian to think that Kris Hunphries is an idiot who is trying to “punish” his estranged wife for dumping him. And the idea that Kim “defrauded” him is a pipe dream, because of exactly this story. All she has to do is explain her emotional state of mind at the time. All she has to say is that she really loved him (even though I doubt it). I’ve always thought the real reason Kim agreed to marry Kris was not because “she loved him” and not because “she wanted ratings and money and fame”. It was because she turned 30 and she had some idea of what she wanted to do and be at that age and she literally just married the first dumbass who proposed. But that’s not “fraud”. That’s just two stupid people getting married for the wrong reasons.

I think it’s super f*ed up. She’s PREGNANT. She hasn’t even blown up grossly like Jessica Simpsons’ first pregnancy (aside: how amazing does she look this time around?). She’s not talking about eating horrible things, she’s going to the gym…she’s just getting bigger because there’s a baby in there. Ugh. Actually that story was covered the other day on here; there’s no conspiracy. You’re also leaving out the part where Kris H AGREED to have those scenes re-shot.
I didn’t know that story was already covered on here…also of course it’s obvious that Kris H. agreed to the scenes being re-shot (the shots that HE was in)…but his complaint is about the ones re-shot where Kim and her mother are talking about Kim not being happy in the relationship and wanting a divorce (those were re-shot after the divorce announcement !)…Kris H. wasn’t involved in those re-shots.

I wasn’t really surprised that of those scenes were scripted. The Kartrashian shows are such fake crap. I thought it was very telling tho that the entire ‘proposal’ was scripted, Kim had to APPROVE all the details, and it was intentionally shot during the day so she could get the best lighting. I don’t think turning 30 had anything to do with this. I think Kim saw this as a plotpoint on her reality show and a way to make major $ from the special. They haven’t paid back any of that $, right? THis is where I disagree & why. TMZ is too closely connected to the K’s & so there reporting of this is very very biased. Its safe to say they even get some kick backs. There is another report at Radar that claims KIM refused to answer many questions. Those questions she was supposedly asked can change this whole divorce & definatley send it to trial. So you take some from TMZ & some from Radar & you got what is really going on here. Neither are innocent by a long shot & Kris really si no idiot at all. WHY did TMZ leave out the good parts.. lol there is your answer to try to sway public thinking & on some it has worked beautifully .
There’s so much hate for the Kardashians. I mean I get it, I agree that they’re moneygrubbing famewhores, but so are a lot of people in Hollywood.
I’m not a big fan or anything, but how many of you out there watch reality TV at all? 90% of it is staged and scripted. Seriously, it is. The Kardashians aren’t unique and they aren’t any more villifiable than like, The Real Housewives or any other cadre of reality stars.
You can’t enjoy other reality TV and then get pissed at the Kardashians for doing what they do. They’re relentless, yes, but so is the reality industry as a whole.
So once again we’re infantalizing a grown man capable of making his own decisions. He knew the game. He played the game. But now the game is over and it’s time to move on.
