Brandi Glanville looks all healed up! Maybe it’s just makeup, but I think her bad chemical peel (or whatever) finally healed and her skin is back to being relatively normal. These are pics from Saturday – Fame/Flynet says Brandi went to Jake’s baseball game. Apparently, LeAnn and Eddie were there too (more on that some other time). Can I just say? Brandi is SO skinny. I think she’s just got that natural gazelle thing going, like she’ll always have skinny legs and she’ll always look coltish. But I also think she watches what she eats, and where’s the fun in that? Also: I really dislike those bandage-looking shoes. LeAnn has a pair like that too. I’m just sayin’. I don’t want to get into who owned it first or anything.
Speaking of Brandi’s stalkers (cough… side-eye), Brandi is moving because crazy Real Housewife stalkers keep coming up to her door. For the love of…! You know how I always say that no one (NO ONE) should troll LeAnn online? Well, the same thing for Brandi. Do not go up to her and act like Brandi is your BFF. It’s sketchy.
There are some realities for a reality television star that are a little close to home. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville has revealed she’s being forced to move to a gated community in Los Angeles after crazed fans turned up to her current digs — where she lives with sons Mason and Jake – in the middle of the night.
“I need a little more privacy,” Brandi, 40, said in a new interview. “I had some people that are fans of the show and they were just coming up knocking on the door at all hours of the night. I need more security and maybe a gate for the safety of the children and myself.”
Because privacy is her top priority, Brandi is staying tight-lipped about where she plans to move, but said her new rental will still be near her kids’ school and not too far from their father, actor Eddie Cibrian.
“The kids will be at the same school,” said Brandi. “I would never pull them away from their friends. Being a single woman, I’m by myself half the time and the other half I have two little boys and I have to protect them. I can’t have no privacy and people coming to the door at all hours.”
And she’s looking to upgrade in residence as well, perhaps to compete with other housewives or her arch nemesis LeAnn Rimes, who married Cibrian in the wake of his split from Glanville – and recently purchased a $3 million home in the Hidden Hills, Calif .
“That really has nothing to do with it,” insisted Brandi. “I’m happy for the boys, they’re very lucky boys. They have a movie theater and all this stuff at their dad’s. It’s not a competition. It’s not like they’re moving so I’m moving. It really is a safety and privacy thing.”
Though there won’t be a movie theatre, the ex-wife of Cibrian said she’s looking for a home with a pool so her children to the actor “can swim off all of their crazy energy.”
She added, “This is the first one we’ve had without a pool. I need to have activities for them and a pool is great.”
Another home essential is a bigger yard.
“There’s not much room for the kids to play outside right now,” Brandi said. “We have a little tiny square of grass with a swing set in and that’s kind of it. I need a little more yard for them to go crazy.”
As she continues to prepare for the move, time is ticking: Brandi revealed she has just 20 days before she needs to move out of the current home. She said she’s “very stressed out,” adding: “We have 20 days left to find a house, but of course, all the ones I like, I can’t afford.”
Another issue is her role on the Real Housewives. Explained Brandi, “It’s hard because a lot of the houses I like don’t allow filming. You have to get that cleared with the landlord, so that’s been a little bit of an issue with the two houses I did try to get and really fell in love with. They didn’t want filming inside which I respect and understand, but my life has to be filmed.”
Considering how well her book has sold and continues to sell, methinks she should be able to afford to buy (instead of rent) her own place pretty soon. And isn’t she going to write another book too? She should get an advance for that. And then she can invest it in some property. The LA real estate market is so crazy, though, God knows what she can afford. I think a one-bedroom in Beverly Hills probably goes for $2 million (and that’s on the low end).
Meanwhile, Brandi has been tweeting about cleaning out her house and she tweeted the photo below with the message “OMG cleaning out my office for the move and look what I came across! Baby jakey and dad showering!”

If Glanville is earning money from book sales then she should lower Eddie’s child support payments. Think about it. If Eddie suddenly became an A lister and he made tons of money then Glanville would go to court to have his child support payments increased right?
Ummm no…I don’t know how it works but here in Chicago, it’s 20% of my ex’s monthly income, whether I work or not. You have to go to court to ask for more child support if your ex starts earning more because you HAVE to declare that change in income to calculate the 20%. Just because she started earning money now doesn’t mean she will be earning in the future and the money is for the boys welfare.
Point taken, but I was just trying to be fair to Eddie. If she earned let’s say 2 million dollars from her book sales then Eddie should get a break from child support payments for several months based on her increased income for that year. Just saying.
It is public knowledge that Eddie got the sweet deal in the divorce, even after scamming Brandi by transferring assets before divorce. The arrangement is that she only gets child support payments when he works, the more he works the more he gets paid and the less he works the less he gets paid.
I don’t think it matters how much mom makes. It has to do with what their quality of live would be if they lived with dad full time. And from my understanding, he barely pays any child support anyhow.
It certainly does have to do with how much BOTH parents make. If Eddie has the kids about half the time and these two had the same income, it doesn’t seem like Eddie would be paying much in support. However, I don’t know how the courts decide in a scenario like this where there is no continuity in how much either party earns from year to year.
@ elceibeno08 But as a father he HAS to contribute. And it’s not like his child support payments take LeAnn into consideration. His reality is that he lives a very nice lifestyle due to his second marriage, but that doesn’t mean that that gets factored into how much he has to pay.

If she wants to keep her job & a steady paycheck to find her & her boys a proper home, than yeah, the requirement for said job is that her life be filmed.

Especially when you are uneducated and have not held any kind of job for at least 8yrs?? You really would rather work at McD when this alternative is dangled infront of you??

Brandi needs her job on RHBH in order to pay for a “proper home”, so yes, her life does need to be filmed. Brandi has no formal education and little experience only as a model. RHBH is good money and will be more this year. She’d be nuts to give it up for a 9-5 job making minimum wage. Jobs are hard to find especially for someone with no experience entering the workforce at 40.

An opportunity presented itself where her lack of an education, work experience and her age aren’t an issue, at a salary that puts her in the higher tax bracket for a few years AND it opens up other opportunities where she may be able to put her feet up for good. Good for her for taking the job.
I love how the choice always comes down to “work at McDonald’s” or “have a reality TV show” as if there aren’t a MILLION other vocations that fall in between those two options.
Hell, she could live off of her book residuals alone. Sure, she might have to give up on the fillers, laser treatments and the other expensive luxuries–but people in this country survive on much MUCH less than what this woman has.

A more honest approach would be for Brandi to admit that she doesn’t want to give up the expensive lifestyle that she’s grown accustomed to and being on a reality TV show is the easiest way for someone with no real skills to make a fat paycheck.

I think you mean book royalties, and first time authors don’t really make that much. It’s not like George Clooney cashing in checks from reruns of ER. It’s a very, very different game. Also, she didn’t write a timeless book, one that will have several runs for decades to come, so she’s not going to be getting checks when she’s old enough for Social Security.
And I don’t think moving is as easy when you have kids and an acrimonious divorce. If she has 50% custody (I think I read that’s the deal), then she has to be reasonably close to the kids’ school, as would her ex. Now, clearly, they live in an expensive neighborhood and I don’t think any place would be reasonably priced for someone who has been out of the workforce and is not well educated. If you were a housewife and stay at home mom all the years of your marriage and then find yourself divorced with very little alimony and child support, you have to scramble. I think that the fact that her ex has access to a lot of money for lawyers in addition to a somewhat unstable new wife made the option of a reality show and the quick money it would bring quite palatable. It doesn’t seem like she’s being stupid with her money, either and blowing it on vacations every other week. I actually liked that she was honest about the fact that she can’t afford certain homes. So many people nowadays are living beyond their means and would die rather than admit in print or on television that they can’t afford a certain house. At least she’s being realistic.

Are these RHOBH fans showing up at Brandi’s door or Leann fans posing as RHOBH fans? Leann is known for giving her fans personal information about Brandi.
No way to know, but after I read fans were coming to Brandi’s home I tried myself out of curiosity to see if I could find her address, and I did easily online. Looked it up on Google maps and there was the same house you see on RHBH with her white car in the driveway. It’s on an open street so anyone can come to her door or take pictures from the street like the paps have been doing lately. The owner wants to sell it and Brandi wants and needs to move for more privacy so she is. I have a feeling she has somewhere new to move but is just not telling it yet.

It takes time to get paid and you don’t make as much money as you’d think if you have a NY Times Bestseller. That’s a myth. Her book would have to do a lot + advance money.
That’s what I started to post. If she got a high advance, it will takes a long while before she sees a dime in royalties. And even then, NY publishers generally only pay twice a year. Anything she earns this year in royalties, she likely won’t be paid for until next year.
And again, that’s IF she even earns out the advance.
Between crazy stalker Rimes and RH fans, Brandi needs to find someplace with good security for her and her kids.

People who visit people just because they have seen them on TV are nutty and should be kept away. Having said that, Brandi seems to have the “scent” for stalkers, if you know what I mean.
That picture of Eddie with baby Jake is wonderful. If Eddie had any soul, he’d look at the picture of a beautiful moment with his son and think, “How could I have f_cked that up for a Costco Cheese Platter” (still giggle at that one).

I love that Brandi’s book did so well but the fact is that for her first attempt as co-author she probably only received about $1.00 profit per copy. After taxes and such, I’d be surprised if it earned her much more that a couple hundred grand, which ain’t much in Hollywood. I hope she made a million but I doubt it.

I just got around to reading my March Glamour magazine which has a feature story of Brandi. I root for this woman every time I read about her. She is self aware and does not play the victim. Her husband screwed her, screwed around on her and remarried in a year. The DUI, while completely stupid and dangerous gave her some prospective. When she speaks about what happened in her life your BS radar does not go off. This is one tough bird and I am officially a fan.

I think Brandi is very much over Eddie. I think she doesn’t have someone new in her life because she is cautious about who she brings around her boys. Brandi is too good a mom to offer out a co-parenting position to every passing stranger who is interested in her for fame reasons. Take note Leann.

I read the comments and I see alot of the comments are stating that she should live of her book residuals, but that cant last forever. She also relied on Eddie entirely for support while they were married and when he left, he took his support with him. She had bad credit and not one cent to her name. I think she is wise to not rely on only one source of income and wants multiple streams. Plus I dont think Cibrian is paying that much support bc he has no income. Leanne support him
Correction…She didn’t have any credit. Everything was in Eddie’s name (house, cars, bank accounts and credit cards). Brandi was a stay at home Mom. If you read her book, she explains how for the first time at 36 she realized she needed credit to rent a home and lease a car (her Dad had to cosign).
I will never understand how some people think a normal 9-5 job will take care of your basic needs if you don’t have some form of an education. Hell I have friends with MBAs working as secretaries so don’t always assume higher education equates you to better pay.
With her age, she needed to do something that can bring in a stable income to support her kids. Eddie isn’t working enough to pay her child support to cover the expenses for kids care (also in her book). She’s not out stripping or whoring…she on reality TV and if I were in her position I would do the same to support my kids.
Even worse, she was going out on her own during the financial crisis which froze up credit for people with excellent credit ratings. And a financial bill that put womens’ financial rights back decades.
That credit card reform act was so shortsighted towards housewives. That even if Brandi had built credit while in the relationship, it probably wouldn’t have been recognized when she was trying to open new credit as an ex. The new credit would still be based on her income history.
Back in the mid-80s, a friend of mine warned how banks would negate all credit history if a woman got married and changed her maiden name. Never mind how hard it was as a woman to even build credit. And of course, if the woman got divorced, the marriage credit history wouldn’t leave with her. So she hyphenated her name in order to retain a credit history pre and post marriage.
Brandi’s experience is a lesson for us all about credit and divorce.
Brandi tweeted that she found a home that she loves (she’s getting the keys now). Wishing her and her boys lots of happiness (and privacy) in their new home!

For heaven’s sake, she’s a 40 year old woman who’s never had any job except for modeling. She has a high school diploma. The economy sucks for people with grad diplomas; what are you expecting her to work as? She can’t move far because she shares custody with her ex.
