Call me crazy, but I actually like Jennifer Lopez’s Met Gala look. No, it’s not punk. At all. And I’m surprised to find out that it’s Michael Kors, because Kors has been phoning it in, design-wise, for a while. But I actually think J.Lo looks good here. Think about it – Jennifer is covered up yet still showing her crazy body. The cut of the gown is clingy yet perfect. The reptilian vibe of the pattern really works. And Jennifer paid homage to the punk theme with big hair, I guess. Yeah, I really like this. I think this works so much better for the Met Gala than, say, Gwyneth’s dumb pink dress. Oh, and Casper Smart was there. Which sort of negates all of the nice things I just said about Jennifer. Ugh.
Speaking of disappointing couples, Gisele and Tom Brady were at the Met Gala, like always, although Gisele looked like she was about to go clubbing in Miami. Gisele wore an Anthony Vacarello minidress. I mean… for a premiere, or for a party or something, it would have been fine. It’s a sexy little mini and she has a crazy body. But for the Met Gala? It just seems kind of trashy. And I don’t know if I should even speak to whatever is going on with Tom Brady. I think Gisele just dresses him up like he’s her personal Ken doll.

I could see Nancy Spungen liking that dress Jlo is wearing. She would have ripped it to shreds and worn blue eyeshadow, but she would still like the dress.

I like JLo’s look, it reminds me of the black dress that Rihanna wore last year…I think it was last year? No, it’s not really punk but it’s better than some of the crap that others wore (coughKKcough).

Me too. JLo’s dress is exactly something I would wear. I’m a sucker for reptile and animals prints, and if it’s a form fitting dress, even better. She wasn’t full out punk, but her hair kinda helped to get her there.

J Lo looks hot like the dress not punk at all but she looks good. Gisele had the attitude and some punk girls did show lot’s of skin but wouldn’t have been caught dead in a mini dress like that. Casper is still around???
This was a totally miss for Gisele, sorry girl, that wasn’t a good day. Tom really looks like a Ken doll, that was so funny!! I find him so uninteresting… Blah… JLow looks fine, although it wasn’t punk…. But who actually wore punk?!!!!
Me too. At least she made an effort to be punky, I find this 100 time more interesting than Gwyneth’s or Uma’s dress.
I think JLo looks great in a sea of half-assed or even poorly dressed people. So that might not be a compliment that it should be. I love the fit of the dress and her makeup is perfection.
Am I the only one that thinks Gisele comes off as a huge awkward dork, and so does Tom Brady? For two beautiful people, and one superior athlete, they are so dorky!

I think Tom is wearing Tom Ford. And I genuinely don’t think she makes any decisions for him because she’s usually much better dressed. Tom doesn’t get the meaning of fitting, and cut and this time, colour. Gisele’s dress looks amazing! I love that she wears it with attitude. Disagree all you want, I am sticking to

Gisele and Tom look very Miami Vice. Which is NOT PUNK. A lot of these silly people seem to have confused “punk” with “general 1980sness”, because they apparently didn’t notice what was going on even though they were technically there for it.

As a long retired punk rock kid, I completely disagree on JLo’s dress/look. She seems really 80s Dynasty (tv show) to me. The swept up hair, sparkly make-up, etc. She always looks good in clingy clothes because of that bangin’ body but the dress is nothing special. If she had on big, faux diamond drops, she could have been an extra in a Falcon Crest or Dynasty party scene. Also, that child boyfriend of hers looks particularly young here. He should stay away from formal wear. He looks like he’s headed to an evening bar mitzva.
