Jennifer Love Hewitt shows off her bump in Beverly Hills: super-cute?

Back in June, Jennifer Love Hewitt announced her pregnancy and engagement at the same time on the cover of Us Weekly. The baby-daddy (and fiancé) is Brian Hallisay, her costar in The Client List. These are just some new photos of Love out and about with her bump in Beverly Hills. She seems to be carrying very well, and I especially like her maternity dress. Feminine and pretty without being cloyingly girly. I would wear the hell out of a non-maternity version of this dress too.

I’m assuming Jennifer is well into her second trimester, although we don’t really know when she’s due beyond “this fall”. Love was on a red carpet for “Mickey Through the Decades” a few days ago, and she discussed her cravings:

Pregnancy is the perfect opportunity to indulge a sweet tooth — and Jennifer Love Hewitt isn’t holding back.

“Cupcakes seem to be a thing, but that’s always been a thing,” the mom-to-be told PEOPLE during the Mickey Through the Decades Collection launch event in Burbank, Calif. on Saturday.

“I want to blame it on pregnancy, but it’s really always been my favorite. Now, I have the ability to eat three instead of one, which is nice.”

To balance out the batches of baked goods, Hewitt, 34, has continued her almost-daily workout regimen. The exercise, she says, isn’t just about staying in shape.

“I’m doing yoga and cardio and all of that stuff, so it’s been good,” Hewitt shares. “I think it’s been making a big difference in how I feel, too.”

As Hewitt and her fiancé Brian Hallisay anticipate the arrival of their first child this fall, the expectant actress is “taking time off” to enjoy both her engagement and pending parenthood. “I’m still waiting to hear what happens with [my show] Client List,” she adds.

Ha, ask Jessica Simpson how that “now I can eat three cupcakes” thing turned out. But I have to say, I was expecting Love to really go full-on Jessica Simpson for this pregnancy, and she’s not. At least, not yet.

So much better than she, whose name shall not be spoken. Otherwise, it’s like uttering Beetle Juice three times.

  2. TheOriginalKitten says:

She looks adorable and she definitely has the pregnancy glow. I’m really happy for her.

  3. Yelly says:

She looks happy. It’s nice to see a curvy, busty, pregnant celebrity dressed appropriately.

Very cute (but she’s still crazy…lol)!

  8. Lemony says:

She looks really really good! So pretty & glowing.
Cute dress & I really like her hair. She got rid of the icky super long extenstions that she was wearing before she announced her pregnancy.
It’s so hot here, I would totally wear a non-maternity version of that dress right now!

  9. Eleonor says:

She looks really good. And I love that dress.

  10. lisa2 says:

I love that she found a good pair of shoes and got them in another color. I do that.

She has always seemed strange to me. But I’m happy for her that she has the life she said she wanted. She looks happy.

See how cute a pregnant woman can look? I think she looks absolutely glowing! Good for her.

  12. kct says:

Her dress may not be maternity. So many dresses and tops are made bump-friendly these days. My daughter has gone the majority of her pregnancy without shopping in the (more expensive!) maternity section.

  13. Willa says:

I was born same day and year as her and i’m also preggo with my first and in second trimester too. Kinda cool.

  14. Apsutter says:

She looks cute as hell and very happy. I also would wear the non maternity version of that dress.

She looks fantastic!!! She is carrying suprisingly well. I have a similar shape and build to her (petite but hippy), and she gives me hope for the future when I become pregnant :)

  18. TheTruthHurts says:

She’s so damn cute, love her!!

  19. Isabel says:

I don’t think she ever ages, she still looks the same from years ago :O

She looks good and happy, good for her!

  20. Nicolette says:

She looks great! So pretty and she gets it when it comes to maternity dressing. Comfy, feminine and she’s not putting that baby in a choke hold of too tight clothing for the sake of her own vanity. Love!

  21. Kari says:

It’s Rebecca Taylor – Hawaii Dress (not maternity!)

  22. Original Me says:

I don’t usually comment on how articles are written on here, but “she seems to be carrying very well”?
What? As if when you are pregnant you can be carrying “well”, or “poorly”. That just makes no sense, unless you are trying to say that “hey, she doesn’t look like a giant fat ass”, or something like that.

  23. Mia says:

This chick has been beyond thirsty and desperate for marriage and children for years, so I’m glad she’s finally getting her wish. I think she’ll be really good mother.

  24. janie says:

I love her! I’m so glad she’s pregnant and happy. I wish her many years of wedded bliss & babies!

  25. zizi says:

I normally find her pretty treacly (she has rubbed me the wrong way since the days of Kids, Inc.), but damned if she doesn’t look happy and adorable. It’s infectious and melts my cold, black heart.

  26. Lara says:

Girl still can’t pick a decent shoe to save her life. That dress would have looked so much cuter without those leg shortening cuff horrors.
