Jessica Simpson posted this ^^ photo of her oldest kid, daughter Maxwell, over the weekend. Maxwell is getting so big! She’s a full-on toddler now. How old is she… let’s see… oh, she’s only about 15 months old. She’s a big girl! Jessica tweeted the photo with the message, “Maxwell is crazy beautiful.” She’s right. Maxwell is a beautiful little girl. She’s got an amazing pout too! She’s going to look a lot like Jessica as she grows up.
Meanwhile, do you realize that Ace Knute Johnson is about seven weeks old and we still haven’t seen photos of him? Jessica sold Maxwell’s first pics to People Magazine very quickly after giving birth, but there are some reports that none of the weeklies were really that interested in buying Ace Knute’s photos. Weird, right? I mean, even if People Mag passed on them, you would think that Us Weekly would have been happy enough to shell out $200,000 or so for Knute’s first pics. There haven’t been any candid photos of Ace either! And Jessica hasn’t posted anything but Maxwell photos to her Twitter.
Ashlee Simpson told E! News a few weeks ago that Ace “is a doll” and that he’s super-blonde and “he’s looking a little like Bronx. They’re all little towheads.” Aw. I bet Ace Knute is cute! Maybe Jessica is just waiting to do a photoshoot with Ace until after she loses some baby weight?

I hadn’t realised that we haven’t seen Ace. Not that we should, I think it’s a good thing. But rather out of character for Jessica.
I’m sure she tried to sell the photos, but there were no bites. The cover of her and Maxwell did not sell well and everyone was over it.
This girl is going to get cuter by the day. I see a fair amount of her dad’s features in her.
I’d read somewhere online (can’t remember…maybe Jezebel) that Jess tried to shop pics of Ace and there were no takers. 😛
But yeah, Maxwell is a lovely little girl. I think she’s going to be a stunner when she gets older.
The story was that IF she tried to sell them, blah blah blah. Not that she WAS trying to sell them. I haven’t read anywhere that she was shopping them.
The Jessica-Maxwell cover did NOT sell well, and I think it ended up being the lowest sellingissue of People of the entire year, underperforming the normal weekly average by a lot. So the people who normally pick up people from newstands basically looked at it and said ”nah, not this week”. There was no way she was going to get much of an offer for 2nd baby photos after that, or even get a cover. I’m sure she’s a nice lady, but the Simpsons are pretty famous for trying to wring as much $$ from a deal as possible.
Ace arrived at about the same time as several other celebrity babies (and George) so I think it was media baby overload.
Magazines rarely care about second child of a celebrity.No covers for Zuma,Brook Sheilds second daughter,Matthew McCoughneys second or third child,etc
I guess the Jolie-Pitt twins were the exception.

That was my thought too. It sort of irks me when parents point out how gorgeous their kid is. Yes, Maxwell is crazy beautiful but I don’t need her mom telling me she is.
I don’t see the need to point out a child’s beauty. It’s evident in every child I look at.
I think it’s tacky and conceited of Jessica to say Maxwell is “crazy beautiful”. What toddler isn’t cute looking anyways?
Yeah like someone said,the second child is rarely a hot ticket. i only remember that demand for the Jolie-Pitts twins. She is quite the healthy baby even at 9 months i remember there was a new years pic and she looked like she was 2 already.

She is a cute little girl I will give her that! I like Jessica, she has been out and about and doing her thing. There is nothing wrong with that. Maxwell and Ace will more than likely be joined by a third sibling because I think Jess has found her true love and that is being a mom! And I am sure we will see pics of Ace when his parents find it appropriate. Has Halle Berry had her baby yet?

Not to be cynical but i was wondering that too. Watch next year she will start designing kids clothes with Maxi heading the campaign.
Jessica already has a children line
The little girl is genuinely pretty, but I’m still holding out hope that Jessica will pull it together and drop the fake look and fake hair and oversize clothes, and 6 inch heels, and enormous bags.
Just wish she could go for pretty rather than always aim for sexpot.
In the latest pictures she has done something to her lips (injections probably), which makes her look totally fake. She is such a natural beauty that she doesn’t need *improvements*, which aren’t improvements!

While it is said that maxwell cover pics didn’t sell well. Was the time taken to inquire and that maxwell cover did sell better then many but the fact is that very few baby covers sell well anymore not just maxwell before or after. Kim K. Actually has the problem and people are over it. she out bid herself but she would have you think there is still all this interest teasing with shots I think Kim and Kanye messed up there own game plan

Meh. The cute is cute but that’s about it. I feel bad for saying this but since someone mentioned it, I gotta say I don’t think Halle’s little girl is all that cute; just a regular looking kid to me. I am so mean. Hahaha.
EVERY parent thinks their child is crazy beautiful. In Jessica’s case, she is correct.
But I let every parent I know brag. It brings them pleasure and I don’t want to ever deny parental love.

Wow, I don’t feel like the asshole for saying this, I don’t really think she’s that cute. I mean she’s not hideous, but she’s not really “crazy beautiful” IMO.
