Kaley Cuoco looked fantastic at the Emmys last night, didn’t she? This Vera Wang dress might not look like much in still photos. When Kaley was shaking it around a bit on the red carpet, it moved beautifully. The dress was impossibly well tailored to Kaley’s figure. The sheer panel around the tummy area would have looked odd if not for the structured lines. What a great dress. The clutch was also matchy matchy in a good way. Oddly enough, I think that Kaley’s underdone hair was just right for this gown. Would it kill her to smile though? She always wears a smirk.
Kaley accessorized with her new tennis boy, Ryan Sweeting, who refused to take off his sunglasses. He looked like a douche. I guess they’re pretty serious if she took him to the Emmys. She looks almost as awkward with this guy as she did with Henry Cavill.
Mayim Bialik will always be the nerdy girl. A very cute nerdy girl. Mayim wore a green Oliver Tolentino couture dress that suited her well. The sheer sleeves were a perfect way to add some drama without veering into trashy territory. Those curls are so glamourous! This is a great look for her.
Carla Gugino absolutely killed it in this red Georges Chakra dress that clung in all the right places. She looks like a gorgeous torch singer, and her hair and makeup are impossible to criticize. Every detail is just as it should be. This is my favorite look of the night, and I don’t know why people don’t pay more attention to Carla in general. I want to look half this fantastic at age 45.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus won the Emmy for Best Actress in a comedy, but her dress was surprisingly boring. This Monique Lhuillier was so bland and shapeless. Julia can and has done so much better on the red carpet. Julia’s smile looks fantastic though. That’s always her best accessory.
Rose Byrne looked rather fragile in this pale pink dress from the Calvin Klein Collection. I love the simple lines of Calvin, and this dress is no exception. Something is off, right? The blonde hair. Rose must have gone lighter for a role, but it washes her out. With her usual brunette, this would have been a smashing look.
Leslie Mann looks like she’s trying to be young and funky. The pattern on this dress is different than Leslie’s usual cookie cutter looks, but she’s just not pulling it off. The optical illusion is hurting my eyes.

Seeing the dress full length now wows me. When I saw her presenting last night just from the bust/waist up, she looked so budget/average and I found myself wondering how anyone could have that amount of money and be that average!

Has she done something to her face? She appears to have difficulty smiling and seems really uncomfortable and awkward posing for photos. She’s younger than I thought, but looks so much older than I thought….
She does look very budget… It’s something in her face that I can’t quite pinpoint.
I love Julia, but haven’t watched Veep yet. I actually liked her gown. A little boring, but pretty.

She looked so glam! But, Uhmmm is that under arm hair I spy?? In the picture where she’s waving, it totally looks like there’s a tuft of hair there à la Julia Roberts!
Hmmm. I cannot conclusively say. Highly possible though. I was more concerned about what the green is in the corners of her smile. But given how fab she looks, I was willing to overlook it.
Mayim is a very conservative jew and has talked in the past about being more modest in her evening wear. (hence the sleeves-she doesn’t do bare shoulders for religious reasons)
I’m wondering maybe if the unshaved underarm is for a similar reason? Anyone out there know for sure?
@L: I have read on Mayim’s Kveller blog that she doesn’t shave her legs. I assume that may also be true for her underarms. I don’t know if it’s necessarily part of her religion or just personal preference.
I also thought it looked like Mayim is sprouting arm pit hair in this photo. Here’s hoping it is a birthmark or shadow?
Carla looks fab and the dress is perfect for her. Kaley looks better than usual and Mayim looks uite glamorous, love the color of the dress. Julia could have (and has) done so much better.
That optical illusion especially hurts against that background.
All of Leslie’s bitching about her awful body (always exposed in her husband’s movies and always a 9-out-of-10 easily) makes her unattractive to me.

I can’t figure her out. First saw her on Damages and she killed it, but yes, she’s thin in a way that speaks to a medical condition or something…
Saw her recently on a talk show telling stories of riding bikes all summer on Long Island with Bobby and I can’t figure out how she has the strength to push the pedals! Or how she can’t seem to build one muscle to a normal size?!
I bet she scares the capris off of Tracy Anderson though, probably the one woman who could make Tracy lock herself in a closet and eat gallons of ice cream wondering where she went wrong that she can’t get as “tiny” or “feminine” as Rose!

Kaley’s make-up matched her outfit! Huge red carpet break through! Usually she wears a ballerina dress in peach with goth eye make up.
Mayim looked so pretty. There was just too much crap on her sleeves. But the color and cut were perfect.

I really like Julia’s – she usually goes pretty simple, it works for her. I prefer that to some starlet swallowed up by a huge princess gown.

I agree with you. Kaley’s dress is great but the eye makeup is awful. And the hair is blah. Carla’s dress is fantastic!

Compared to previous outings, Cuoco looks pretty good. That’s a nice dress (though a bit much for the Emmys?), and she looks good. Her taste in men lately though…I mean, sunglasses left on like that is automatically a douche. Everything screams douchebag. Everyone else looks pretty good though, except i hate Mann’s dress….it seems to be becoming a thing, which is unfortunate.
Yeah I can practically smell the douche wafting off of that guy. Like I look at him and I just know he smells like an Abercrombie & Fitch store. However I LOVE Kaley’s dress. That is GORGEOUS.

Kaley Cuoco is an attractive woman, but she does not know how to do the red carpet.
She’s got a great body, but never really dresses to call attention to the best parts of it. This dress is riding too low in the top and reminds me a bathing suit quite a bit. She has a slim torso and waist, but this dress (two pieces I think) is really bizzy in that section. Her hair and make-up are wrong as well – her hair looks limp and her eye make-up is over done. She does not look happy or comfortable either. She really needs to find a good stylist in order to shine. Frankly, she looks better in the pap shots at Starbucks!

Kaley looks awesome – one of her best looks yet. I remember last year she wore plastered bangs and a tea length dress to an awards show – this is a huge step in the right direction!

Rose always looks like she would break if you touched her. I’m not crazy about her dress but it looks good on her.
I’d like Leslie’s dress if it was a full gown, w/out the mesh stuff. But overall, it’s not the gown for her – the color and print overwhelms her.

Mayim just looks like she’s in character – basically Amy trying to look glam and turning out like a nerd at an 80s prom.
Kaleys dress is pretty but it reminds me of a halloween costume. All she needs is a vampire bite mark on her neck and some blood and streaked makeup and she’d look absolutely gorgeous. I just don’t dig it as an emmy dress.

Carla is beautiful. I’ve heard she p.o.’d some big shot a long time ago, essentially getting her career knocked off track.
Rose is lovely but thin as she is, there’s still a bit of pooch showing at her waist.
Hate sheer long skirts without a long underskirt. Kaley’s eye shadow is not pretty. Mayim has annoyed me since I first saw her face & I do avoid looking t her or listening to her. I don’t find her any more attractive in this dress or hairdo, but her religion does let her shave.
