Every celebrity, from Pharrell to Rose McGowan, got married on Saturday

Everybody that you can possibly imagine got married this weekend. It’s weird, right? I would think that a seemingly random weekend in the middle of October wouldn’t be the most sought-after wedding date, but here we are. Instead of spreading these stories into a million posts (because some of these people really are random), let’s just put it all in one post.

*Pharrell Williams married his model girlfriend Helen Lasichanh on Saturday in Miami. Guests included Usher and Busta Rhymes and people described the wedding as “fun”. Did you know that Pharrell and Helen are already parents to a son named Rocket? I did not know that.

*Greg Louganis, 53, married Johnny Chaillot, 52, in Malibu on Saturday. They met through Match.com!! They’ve only been dating since last year too. I remember when Greg was in a long-term relationship with Steve Kmetko. Does anyone else remember that?! Kmetko used to be the host of E! News, for those young people. Anyway, guests included: “Barbara Eden, French Stewart and Bruce Vilanch and…fellow Olympians Janet Evans, Nadia Comaneci.” In lieu of wedding gifts, the couple asked their guests to make donations to the Human Rights Campaign and Mending Kids International.

*Gun N’ Roses drummer Matt Sorum married Adriane Harper in Palm Springs on Saturday. The guest list included: “Steven Tyler, Juliette Lewis, John Varvatos, Jane Lynch, John Stamos, Dave Navarro and former Guns N’ Roses bandmates Slash and Duff McKagan.” And no Axl Rose.

*Rose McGowan married Davey Detail at the Paramour Mansion in Silverlake on Saturday. He’s an artist. This is her first marriage, although she was engaged to both Marilyn Manson and Robert Rodriguez.

*Ben Feldman (the Jewish kid on Mad Men) married Michelle Mulitz at the Smokey Farm in Glen Farm in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Guests included Wolf Blitzer (WTF?) and Reid Scott.

*Keith Powell (Toofer on 30 Rock) married his longtime girlfriend Jill Knox in NYC, at the Tribece Rooftop. Guests included Katrina Bowden and Judah Friedlander.

*Jason Wahler (reality star from The Hills) married Ashley Stack in Malibu. Blah.

Of all of these, I think I’d like to have been at Greg Louganis’s wedding. I love the guest list, it’s so diverse. Barbara Eden AND Nadia?! His husband is gorgeous, too.

Pharrell didn’t have his bestest shopping buddy/fashion student Miley at his wedding?

    • j.eyre says:

Me too, is do just about anything to be in the same place as Nadia. No mention of Bart, did they spilt then?

I absolutely remember Greg and Steve – I thought they were lovely together. But even at the time they admitted they worked because they had seperate lives.

      Congrats to all.

      • ncboudicca says:

Weird…Steve’s wikipedia page says he’s doing a variety of things these days, including working part-time at the Apple store in Skokie,IL. ???

      • j.eyre says:

Oh my gosh. I would buy a great deal of Apple products just to hear his voice read me the warranty.

  2. bns says:

    Congrats to them all.

I’m surprised that Rose made it down the aisle this time, but good for her.

  3. It'sJustBlanche says:

Unrelated what happened to Rose’s face. An the hair?

    • Willa says:

Her hair color looks like crap. Blonde is not her friend.

    • Fabgrrl says:

I know! She used to be do pretty!

    • mercy says:

I don’t know if it’s true, but I remember reading somewhere that she was in a car accident.

    • Amy says:

I agree about the hair, but as for her face being different – she was in a really bad car accident a few years ago. It almost blinded her and she needed surgery on her face.

    • Me Three says:

She was in a horrible car accident and had to have substantial work done. She’s lucky to be alive. Maybe we should all try to be a little less judgmental about women celebs? Makes me sad that women are so mean to other women. And, I doubt any of us look the same way we did 10 or 15 years ago, even without experiencing a car accident.

      • Sarah says:

Rose was rear-ended and said her sunglasses cut into the area under one eye. If you were cut in the eye area, why would your jaw, lips, chin, etc. look so drastically different? Why would you not look somewhat similar to what you used to, minus a little under-eye scar? BTW, the accident was never in the press (and certainly never labeled “horrible”) until well after comments about how incredibly different and “surgeried” she looked started popping up.

  4. Tania says:

    Congrats to all of them!

  5. O says:

    Pharrel’s wife’s stunning..wow.Congrats to the rest..even though I’ve never heard of them

Can i say something relatedish? I admire those chicks that marry/get into it with dudes that are shorter and smaller than them, I know i know is a societal construct and bullshit and blah blah blah (and in celebs case , also The Moneyz!!) But That shit fucks with me!! like im 5’8 and voluptuous and I just feel Super duper itchy when I deal with guys my own height, Let alone shorter!!… i’ve done it out of not being shallow and shit but the ENTIRE TIME IM THINKING:

      How is kissing gonna work?
Will i ever wear heels if we get serious?!
Do i gotta go on a strict diet?!
Am i gonna break it in bed??

thanks for letting me vomit this meditation out, an okcupid guy is actively pursuing me and not sounding like a moron and is FREAKING ME THS FUCK OUT

      • MellyBee says:

In the good ol’ days in college, I used to have a rule for me and my girlfriends; If the dude is skinnier than you, it’s not gonna happen. I am 5′ 7″, and at the time, 115 lbs. that was MY rule, it doesn’t have to be anyone else’s, and I bring it out for fun, but seriously, date who you feel comfortable with. If it makes you uncomfortable, you have to stay true to yourself. As for me, I married a man with who was heavier, and much taller than I am. It’s been 18 years, and I’m still happy! You go, my friend! Date who is right for you and be HAPPY! (Hopefully I didn’t offend anyone who dates skinny dudes, but I can’t imagine him borrowing my jeans!). I tell my daughters this as well!

      • bob says:

I don’t care if they’re shorter, but then I like walking around going fuck you social construcciones, I’m wearing heels and everyone else can give the fucks I don’t.

Plus they can’t fight back much when you’re tickling them.

Good luck with the OKC non-twat.

      • LAK says:

LOL….i’m so glad someone else has these thoughts….

i’m hardcore about staying away from these sorts of men. Height and weight are dealbreakers. shallow i know, but age hasn’t brought any depth of wisdom on this front!

      • QQ says:

Oh Ladies!! Is. The bane of my existence!! Like dudes in FL legit are getting shorter and i already feel like an Amazon, I’ve tried it a couple times to not be in the shallow end of the kiddie pool (where i clearly live!!) but it just makes me so neurotic especially when they ask me straight up about wearing heels and im all: ” yeah i dont wanna look like your mom alright already!” LOL

And is stupid BUT i feel Im pretty easy going and make a shit ton of concessions and consider so many things not important or deal breakers and im not a swamp dweller and i feel like. Gahh Why should i give up on basic attraction at first glance!

      • Charlotte says:

My man is a tiny bit shorter than me, so if I wear heels it’s really obvious. I’d only ever dated guys well over 6′ before, but he managed to win me over on intelligent conversation, damnit. 3 kids later…
It was painful during pregnancies where I gained 25+ kgs and felt like a freak next to him, but I otherwise don’t even notice the height because I’m too busy being happy to have a capable man who can bake bread, change a nappy, service a vehicle, play me at scrabble, fix up any issues with the house etc etc etc. I’d hate to think I would have passed up on having a real man because I couldn’t get past the height.
        Good luck!!!

  6. Ag says:

Toofer and his gf looked amazing! Congrats!

  7. LAK says:

I always thought Pharrell was gay. not due to rumours or anything, but simply thought he was…..!

  8. JH says:

Whoa, Pharrell looks like his new wife’s shorter twin.

  9. Holden says:

My first anniversary was in October and I knew a bunch of people that had them as well, it’s a popular month because the weather is starting to change and isn’t too extreme in either direction…
