Here are some assorted photos from last night’s event for ELLE Magazine’s “Women In Hollywood” issue. I covered the multiple covers from ELLE a few weeks ago – go here to see. Let’s start with Reese Witherspoon in Calvin Klein (CK was the sponsor of the event)… say what you will about our American Citizen, Standing On American Ground, but she has been looking so amazing lately. Seriously. There’s barely a moment when I look at photos of Reese in candid shots or red carpet shots where she doesn’t look completely gorgeous. All that liquor agrees with her.
Jessica Pare in pink Calvin Klein. This is a great dress in general, and it looks especially good on Jessica. I’m not even saying that as a fan! She looks really good here. I think she should wear these kinds of clean, minimalist styles more often.
I get the feeling that Emilia Clarke is so green when it comes to dressing for red carpets. This Calvin Klein dress might have been cute on the rack, but a good stylist would have rejected it quickly because the color washes her out on camera.
I’m fine with Chelsea Handler’s (baggy) tuxedo (it’s a little Ellen DeGeneres, but it’s okay), but she should have paired it with black heels and a black cami.
Marion Cotillard in Dior Spring 2014. Love the dress, love the simple styling, hate the shoes.
Melissa McCarthy in black & white Calvin Klein, with big hair. Considering she usually looks too pageant-y, I think this is great look for her. I don’t even mind the weird hair.
While I think Reese Witherspoon looked wonderful, my best dressed girl is Naomie Harris. Seriously, just look at her in this Calvin Klein. Gorgeous.

I love Reese Witherspoon’s dress, I would rip it right off of her if I thought I had any hope in hell of fitting into it. Not crazy about the shoes but the dress is fantastic.
As for the rest, all I can say is meh.
They all look good except for McCarthy, who clearly doesn’t know how to dress herself.
I know …AND she designs her own outfits (this looks like a homemade creation) so there’s no excuse.
Geez, her hair. Did Kaley Cuoco come over to help her get ready??
Yes, it’s difficult dressing certain body types but come on Melissa …we’re rooting for you!!
Maybe she can just make herself a very large caftan & call it done. The hair is hideous too.
I love Reese’s look. Jessica and Naomi too. Not sure about Melissa’s hair but her makeup always looks so good.

I really like Marion’s dress but can’t stand CH so I have nothing nice to say about her.

Emilia is one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen so it makes me sad when she looks like this on the red carpet. She needs a better stylist STAT. If you don’t watch Game of thrones than you probably have no idea how amazingly beautiful she actually is. Exhibit A:

LOL at the American Citizen comments. Yes, give the devil her due, she looks good. That dress is a great color.
I have to disagree re Jessica Pare’s dress. It’s a beautiful color, but the material or cut is all wrong for her. It makes her look too busty and pregnant in the stomach area. Not a slam on her figure; I think it’s just not the dress for her, and satin is very hard to pull off under any circumstances.
They all look beautiful. Melissa McCarthys outfit is totally offset by her hair unfortunately, maybe it’s just the camera angle.

They all look really good. I agree about the pairings with Handlers tux. I think, given it isa baggy, I might have worn a different colored but fitted vest with it.
I am so happy Calvin Klein got his mojo back – I have been loving him lately.
I used to really like Reese. Now whenever I see her, I am reminded of her “Don’t you know who I am?” comment to the police when she was arrested for intoxication.
I see that Reese is currently filming “Wild” based on Cheryl Strayed’s true story. She needs to look fit and healthy. I cannot wait for the movie because Reese’s look is perfect for the role, but I get nervous about adaptations. I loved the book. Hoping for the best.

I’m so tired of the “all that liquor” comments about her. She’s not a drunk, she functions just fine in her life, and made a scene once with a cop while drunk. Who among us hasn’t been drunk at least once and an asshole to boot? That hardly means she’s a big boozer. That one incident in no way means she has a booze problem. Jesus. Also, she looks good here, I think. I like the hair–it’s different for her and nice.
Naomie, my god! I work out in the hope that one day I will have side boob like that!
