Chris Brown left ‘anger management rehab’ after two weeks, is probably ‘cured’

Back in October, Chris Brown beat the hell out of some random dude in Washington, DC. Chris and his bodyguard were arrested for felony assault, although when they were formally charged, the charges were downgraded to misdemeanors. Chris returned to LA where he’s due for a hearing on the state of his probation – this is the same probation he’s been on for years, ever since he nearly killed Rihanna. His hearing is next week, and so when Chris returned to LA, he decided to check himself into “anger management rehab” in Malibu so he would look good for his hearing. TMZ got some strategic leaks from Team Breezy about how Chris “knows he has a problem” and that he might stay in anger management rehab for “three months”. Yeah. He’s already out.

Chris Brown has left the rehab facility he entered last month after his assault arrest but is still receiving treatment, his rep tells PEOPLE.

“Chris is continuing his rehab program as an outpatient and is also completing his community service in the Los Angeles area. He appreciates all of your encouragement and support,” the rep says.

The Grammy-winning R&B singer, 24, entered the unidentified rehab facility shortly after he and his bodyguard Christopher Hollosy were released Oct. 28 without bail from a Washington D.C. jail after a felony assault charge was reduced to a misdemeanor.

They had been arrested following an altercation with another man outside the W Hotel. Brown is still on probation for beating up Rihanna in 2009. Brown’s sentence also included community service and a yearlong domestic violence course.

So, he didn’t even stay in “anger management rehab” one full month. He was only there for two weeks. Those were two weeks when no one got punched in the face, which is a good thing, although I do wonder about the trail of destruction Chris might have left at the rehab facility. Why you gotta ask him about his feelings? You’re just asking for a face-punch! Anyway, here’s hoping that the prosecutor asks the court to treat Chris harshly for messing up his probation yet again. Then again, it’s California. They’ll probably just give him a five-minute time out.

He probably left in a full-blown tantrum after upending a few pieces of furniture, tossing a couple more through the windows, and cold-clocking a counselor for good measure.

  2. Hannah says:

I mean, he was there for TWO WHOLE WEEKS. What more do you want? He’s cured!

  3. MonicaQ says:

Oooh oooh! I know what’s going to happen next!

    1) Goes to court and says he’s “a changed man”.
    2) Judge says, “Of course you are!”
    3) Does nothing.
    4) In two months throws a stripper out a bus window.
    5) Repeat.

    • Hannah says:

“Throws a stripper out a bus window.” OMG, that’s hilarious. I probably shouldn’t have laughed but good God, that’s amazing!

      • Shannon1972 says:

Comment sections are on fire today! Loved this…it’s totally sick, but damn funny. 2nd big laugh today! Thank you. 😀

P.S. It is not ok to throw strippers, or any other women, out of a bus window under any circumstances.

      • MonicaQ says:

For sure, it is definitely not. That’s never stopped Chris Brown before from showing proper human behavior sadly. And yet, people keep making excuses for him. I don’t get it.

      • Hannah says:

I wouldn’t be surprised if the great state of California decided that there need to be notices on buses reading “It is not ok to throw strippers, or any other women, out of a bus window under any circumstances”. ‘Cause, you know, how else would Chris know?

  4. Arock says:

I still want to punch him in the face. Does that make me a bad person?

  5. Lizzie says:

After that comment he made about losing his virginity at 8 (or rape, as it rightly should be described) I just feel bad whenever I see him. It doesn’t excuse his actions or make me like him, but those pieces of information made me realize how clueless about himself and his actions and what he has experienced he really is. I think he is beyond help, and I feel terrible for thinking that about another person.

    • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

Two weeks seems about the time it would take to start delving beneath the surface into the really hard and painful stuff. Makes sense that he would quit then. I don’t think anyone is beyond help if they really want it, but I doubt he ever will unless he ends up killing someone, and maybe not even then.

I agree with what you said about him being unable to see losing your virginity at 8 as abuse. It is sad.

    • Mitch Buchanan Rocks! says:

I feel the same way when I see articles about him – this kind of abuse is something overlooked in society because women are generally not seen as this kind of abuser so the person they abuse is not seen as a victim either. He is a victim.

  6. MoxyLady007 says:

He looks like a meth head

  7. lovegossip says:

He far exceeded California’s requirements. What more do people want? Jeez, you all are just mean. He is cured! Ha. 🙁

  8. Dawn says:

Sure he is cured until his next incident and there will be one. These guys gets so many chances and he never changes because he doesn’t have to.

  9. Jacqueline says:

Don’t y’all understand HE is the victim? You’re just a bunch of a-holes who need your faces punched. *sarcasm*

  10. Jaded says:

His counsellors were probably terrified of treating him so they just left him alone with a copy of The Anger Control Workbook.

  11. the original bellaluna says:

They need to develop an Asshole Rehab, round up Beiby, Fist, The Blohan Clan, Alec, and anyone else we can think of and lock it down. It could be like a cage match.

  12. Dommy Dearest says:

Dear god Chris, cut back on the cocaine.

  13. msw says:

Well of course. The minute someone told him the sun doesnt shine out of his butt, im sure he gave up. I was hoping he would stay long enough to learn some social skills to temper that massive ego.

  14. vvvoid says:

    lol 2 weeks.
I spent 3 weeks in just the detox portion of rehab getting off methadone and another month in the behavioral-mod portion and even that was only enough to program me to WANT to change. 2 weeks is a joke. 2 weeks is barely a vacation. 2 weeks is a completely insufficient amount of time in the pursuit to undo decades of behavioral and character defects that are so much a part of one’s personality that to even recognize their existence is akin to recognizing the existence and effect of one’s own mitochondria and ribosomes. Actually, I take that back. Recognizing and appreciating the existence and impact of your own organelles is much easier than recognizing and appreciating lifelong character flaws. At least you can see evidence of your organelles under a microscope. Character flaws you can continue denying or being oblivious to indefinitely, which will likely be the case for Chris as self-awareness appears to be nowhere near easy for him.
