Khloe’s make-up is horrible, but I think she has a banging body and pulled off the stripes. She embraces her curves.

  2. Zadie says:

I’m still annoyed with the Serbian accents in Sherlock.

  3. dorothy says:

What is it with the Kardashians? They can’t let that midriff thing go? What a disaster. Cheap and tacky.

  4. Zbornak Syndrome says:

Khloe looks fine in the bottom half, but those stripes make her chest area look odd.

  5. GeeMoney says:

Yipes! The dress is ok, but the makeup on Khloe is horrendous.

This is the “glory” of that damn gimmicky “mineral makeup”. I can spot it a mile away. It’s nothing but bronzer in different shades. The only thing that makes it different than your usual shades of beige and brown makeup you had to begin with is there is sparkly crap in there to beat the band. What happens when you put layers upon layers of ground up fish scales or whatever on your face and take a photo? All the light the cameras are using is reflected off your pitifully shiny face you just spent hours contouring, and $$$$$ acquiring. Also, if you already have lovely olive skin, don’t try to hide it!, all that fake color is going to make you look waxen.

Solution – leave the mineral makeup alone, there is a damn good reason people weren’t using a bunch of shiny powder all over their faces in the first place. It’s just another marketing gimmick to part you with your money. Face powder should be matte. Shiny face, not good. Rant over.

      • Steph says:

GG – I totally agree! My mom bought a bunch of bare minerals stuff and then two weeks later went on vacation and she looks awful in all her pictures! She has mega shiny face and though my mother looks great for her age (50) no woman wants to draw attention to wrinkles with shinyness! She threw it all out. Waste of money.

      • Wren33 says:

I use mineral makeup because I have really sensitive skin and foundation and most face creams really irritate my face. But I would prefer to not wear anything because the mineral makeup I think actually makes my face look drier and more wrinkly.

      • gg says:

Yes, same here with the sensitive skin, I understand. And I have never been able to use foundation so Lancome dual finish powder works well for me. Have you tried Clinique or another hypoallergenic makeup, Wren?

Also I’m in my 50s and really, when your skin starts being less elastic, you don’t want a bunch of sparklies – that’s for young-uns. It calls attention to wrinkles and even creates them and makes even slightly crepey skin look downright ghastly. I have to stick to a good fine-milled matte product with no MickeyMouse going on.

      • Mel M says:

I wear mineral makeup, that is when I actually get around to putting it on, and my face doesn’t look sparkly and shiny. I don’t put the sheer cover powder over the actual tinted foundation powder because that’s what has all of the sparkles in it.

      • Zbornak Syndrome says:

Mineral makeup isn’t the best choice to wear for photos. However, it does an excellent job as a sunscreen. It reflects the light, thus why the flash pictures look horrible.

      • Camelia says:

Not all mineral make up has the shimmering mica pigment in it- try glominerals or Becca.

      • gg says:

Camelia, that’s good to know. I was wondering when the backlash against the sparkly stuff was going to emerge. Truthfully, most people that I’ve seen (mostly women past their prime) that use the stuff are not the artistes they think they are.

      • Happy21 says:

To the ladies with sensitive skin:

I swear by Clinique. My face rages if I use anything else…bright red and spotted. I have recommended it to SO many people who now feel the love. I never would have thought but it has truly done wonderful things for my sensitive skin. I’ve never gone the mineral route because I’ve always liked full coverage make up…

      • Nicolina says:

It’s not necessarily mineral makep she may be wearing. HD foundations and powders create some terrible looking photos, as they were made for tv and movie cameras, not still photography cameras with their powerful flashes.

Also, am I the only one who’s over the HD? I don’t have a need or want to see every pore and hair on a persons face on tv/movies. If I’m watching a documentary on Yellowstone, then by all means, please make that as clear as possible! Anything else, meh.

  6. JackieM says:

Her face looks really bloated and kind of lumpy. I don’t know what’s going on there. The red lipstick does her no favors. She looks much better with a more natural, softer look in makeup and hair.

  7. abbizmal says:

Khloe also needs to fire the one who told her blow-up-doll lips looks good.

  8. Gwenny says:

Is she not capable of closing her mouth correctly?

  9. Katiekat says:

The stripes are fine on the skirt- she looks jawdroppingly sexy in it. But the fit of the striped top on her chest is a travesty. As is the over highlighting of her makeup. She’s been BRINGING it the past few months, so I’m giving a pass on this one.

  10. j. says:

I think the stripes would’ve been fabulous, if she’d paired the skirt with a white button down instead of a matching crop top. It’s a little too matchy-matchy for me… And yeah, her makeup artist piled on the highlighter and picked a rather unflattering shade of red.

  11. Virgilia Coriolanus says:

Didn’t Beyonce wear that same ice skater esque, Marchesa fugness, that JLo wore to the 2013 Golden Globes??? I didn’t see the whole dress, but I thought it was the same. Ugly and tacky. It was worse when JLo wore it because it just showed how dated she was—stuck in the 00s…..when she was IT.

  12. Kim says:

Khloe’s makeup and top are brutal, but that skirt is on point.

  13. GoodNamesAllTaken says:

Re: Jon Hamm, um, I think that’s his phone.

  14. Vampi says:

OhMyGosh! I think she buckled under the pressure and had a nose job! I couldn’t put my finger on it at first…..a dang shame…she was beautiful the way she was….just like Kimmode USED to be. Sads.

  15. Chinadoll13 says:

What happened to her lips? They look like she’s done something to them. I like her but this is Not a good look for her.

  16. arabella says:

OMG the 50 shades poster is SEXY!! I don’t even know why, it totally gets me. And I haven’t even read the book!

  17. OriginallyBlue says:

That make-up is terrible and that outfit is questionable. She looks ridiculous looking like that period, but standing next to a completely different image of herself looks even worse.

  18. eliza says:

I don’t think Khloe’s outfit looks that bad to be honest.

Now the makeup is another story.

  19. Meggin says:

The make up is really bad.. not a fan of the midriff look either. Just like someone else said, I wish they would stop trying to make it happen!!

  20. silvia says:

What the heck is with Kardashians and this cropped top disaster trend? It’s ironical, how the midriff actually makes them look worse 99% of the time. If they left majority of their dresses uncut in one piece, they’d look much better, symmetrical with seemingly smaller waist to hip ratio.

  21. Hatetheletterak says:

ugh. No, No not an attractive person at all.

  22. Sumodo1 says:

Shannon Elizabeth looks like she struck gold. *ahem*

  23. Dani says:

NO BODY IS GOING TO QUESTION SHANNON ELIZABETH AND RUSSELL SIMMONS???? Weirdest pairing EVER.

  24. Miffy says:

No ones boobs should create a weird graphic optical illusion

  25. janet says:

I think she looks great in the stripes. Her body looks fit. The makeup is too heavy and clopped on.

  26. Dawn says:

She looks like she would be a cheap date. The makeup is too much and the stripe dress is not for her. And now her idiot sister announces that she and Kanye will be married in France and E! will be picking up the whole tab as they televise for all us luck people to see! These people are ridiculous but doing the wedding thing on television is krap. I say it is time to boycott anything and everything Kardashian or Jenner.

  27. gg says:

Her bra does not fit right at all.

  28. idk says:

Just a few years ago, the Kardashians were all tanned, now they are as white as ghosts. What gives? Have they stopped spray tanning?

Also, what was her appearance for? What is she promoting? Their show?

I like her outfit but the hair and make-up are really really bad. Is it just me, or does Khloe now have the same “dead eye” look as Kim ? It’s like these girls are robots and sometimes their owner PMK forgets to recharge their batteries.

  29. wendy says:

The skirt looks amazing on her!
I think lots of people can wear horizontal stripes. More than one would think. They are not just for the super thin. Giving the illusion of being bigger and smaller in certain areas can be really great.
I think if it was a dress that just was black on the upper portion with a flattering neckline and sleeve length would have looked better.

The crop top can look so cute on some. I adore I high-waisted sailor pant with a striped cropped shirt. So adorable.

  30. Just Me says:

I won’t comment on her looks, but I will say she needs to stop talking about how she’s “living out of” her car. Girlfriend, please!

  31. serena says:

She looks good, but her foundation is too pale and something is going on on her face… I wonder, botox?

  32. Tastykakes says:

I love love love the stripes. When there is a lot of horizontal stripes like the skirt here, it draws your eye up and down, and I personally like the effect as I find it slimming and flattering to my curves. The top is a whole different story. Crop tops do not belong on a grown woman who expects to be taken seriously. At least straighten out the stripes over the breast area.

I found this article to be of interest in regards to the perceptions about horizontal/vertical stripes.
    Vertical stripes ‘less slimming’
