Rupert Sanders can’t get over Kristen Stewart, she’s ruined his life & his career

FFN_KM_KristenRupert_FILE_072812_50845187

As we heard yesterday, Kristen Stewart “stands by every mistake” she’s ever made, especially if that mistake is named “Rupert Sanders.” It was about a year and a half ago when Us Weekly broke the story of Kristen and Rupert’s affair. I guess I have to give Kristen credit: she survived. She hasn’t quite thrived or anything, but she can still show her face around LA and she and Sparkles had some long, drawn-out relationship drama that carried us through the main part of the post-affair scandals. But what about Rupert? Well, his wife Liberty Ross ended up divorcing him and telling her story (sort of) to Vanity Fair. Allegedly, Rupert would have done anything to get back with Liberty… although I have my doubts. Now Radar claims that Ol’ Rupe’s life has gone downhill in a hurry because he just can’t get Ol’ Lip-Biter out of his head:

Fans were shocked in 2012 when news broke that Twilight star Kristen Stewart had cheated on her co-star and boyfriend Robert Pattinson with her married Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders. Now, Radar has learned, Sanders life is spiraling downward while he still holds a torch for Stewart!

Sanders’ wife, actress Liberty Ross, slapped him with divorce papers last year and a source said, “his family is wrecked. Even though he has admitted to everyone in his life that the long-brewing affair was a terrible idea, he still hasn’t been able to get over his feelings for Kristen. He fell in love with her a long time before he laid a finger on her, and he’s finding it difficult to shake.”

After the affair was exposed, Stewart, now 23, and Sanders, 42, made public apologies to their partners and then went their separate ways.

But the source revealed, “They are still in contact, and incredibly, Rupert is still hoping for a future together. But Kristen has come to her senses and doesn’t want to damage her image more. Rupert definitely lost more in this whole scandal. He’s devastated they can’t be together.”

According to the source, the scandal has caused Sanders trouble in locking down his next feature-film directing job and says the filmmaker — in recent years, one of the highest paid commercial directors in the world — has for now returning to the advertising world “to lay low and weigh his options.”

Said the source, “He is a student of other directors’ careers and knows it’s a lot harder to bounce back from a scandal like this if you’re not a household name like Kristen is.

“Rupert, against all better judgment, still holds out hope that he and Kristen can get things going again, but he’s completely deluded – she would never put her career on the line like that again,” the source said.

[From Radar]

I’m pretty sure that I’ve said this before, but it really wouldn’t hurt if Rupert and Kristen did get together legitimately now. He’s divorced, she’s single. If they got together… who would care? I mean, Twihards would care, but who else? No one. And hell, it might even help both of them. If they can brand their relationship as a true LOVE affair, that might help to whitewash it. Or hey, maybe Kristen is right and she shouldn’t have anything to do with him. How sad is it that Kristen might be the mature one in this situation?

HE ruined his life and career period!

    • blue marie says:

exactly, always easier to blame someone else than take responsibility for your own actions.

    • Emil says:

Why does his career have to be over, while Kristen’s seems to be ok? Life goes on; his life and career will be fine. Celebrities have bounced back from much worse things than a salacious affair.

    • MarBear says:

I was just coming on here to say the exact same thing! He has no one to blame but himself

    • GirlyGirl says:

      abso-friggin-lutely

This is a classic beta male excuse – “It was all that vile temptresses fault!”

Hey Rupert, what career? You’re just another D grade hack who can’t keep his pants on.

    • LadySlippers says:

Agreed! Man is in his 40’s and should take responsibility for his own actions.

Although, to be fair, it’s sounds in this except as if he’s not so much blaming Stewart as unable to get over her.

    • SOLOKOLATA says:

Why can’t people fall out of love? Yeah he messed up his marriage, but maybe he was unhappy. His choices may not have been right for his family, but why are people acting like he did what no other human being has done before?

      • Tulip Garden says:

People can and do fall out of love all of the time, married or not. That situation can still be handled with dignity and grace instead of ….well, what he did!
Of course, he is doing what people have been doing for ages but poor behavior, I hope, never becomes in vogue. No one is suggesting that he is the only one.

      • Anname says:

Well there is the fact that it was a very high profile affair forever memorialized in photographs, 2 multimillion dollar franchises were involved, and an obsessive fanbase unwilling to see their fairytale romance tarnished. Of course it got a lot of attention.
If his career suffers, I don’t think it’s for any moral reason, but rather because of the $$ damage done to the SWATH franchise. Would they have done SWATH 2 if the affair hadn’t happened?

      • Virgilia Coriolanus says:

If he was unhappy with HIS marriage, if he wanted to go around and screw whoever he wanted, fall in love with whoever he wanted—then he should’ve told his wife that he wanted a divorce and be done with it.

But he didn’t do that. First, he hired his wife as Kristen’s mother–which she probably did it for free, in the end. And then he used her for promotion. She gave an interview, to Vogue or Vanity Fair, saying how proud she was of him, how she was glad that he was so successful BECAUSE when they moved to LA, she was all alone with the kids, wasn’t working–supporting HIS career.

There are ways to tell your partner that you aren’t in love with them anymore. It can be classy. It doesn’t need to be splashed out all over the news and tabloids.

He has only himself to blame, and good riddance. I checked out his IMDB page yesterday–he filmed a short in 2013, and was announced as the director of a project with only a script—no producers, actors, or studio involved–that’s supposed to be for 2015.

        He ruined his own career.

      • Denise says:

Yep. Passion is a bugger, try and fight it. It’s easy for others to criticize when they’ve never been driven to total distraction by another person.

      • Nina W says:

There’s a difference between falling out of love and screwing your 22 year old leading lady. Love had nothing to do with it then or now.

    • CC says:

      +1

All I have to say is: good. I’m not into slut shaming (even if I can’t stand her as an actress or celebrity), he’s the one responsible for ruining his life, he was the one that was married with kids.

    • LakeMom says:

Hey, if you lie with pigs, don’t be surprised if the stink sticks with ya.

    • Emily C. says:

Yep, this. He was the married one; he was the older one; and I don’t think Kristen Stewart held a gun to his head. I could not be more sick of the narrative that blames women for the actions of men’s penii.

    • Tanguerita says:

Excuse me, but what career are we talking about here? The only thing this guy is known for is the fact that he hooked up with the lip-biter. He is pretty much a one-time director.

    • teehee says:

I WAS JUST GONNA SAY DAT

    • Addison says:

Yep, this is exactly right. Boo, hoo! Please…

    • PalePuss says:

      Truly.

    • Lisa says:

This! What an idiot he was to throw away his wife and family. I hate when ANYONE blames others for their own bloody weaknesses.

    • Steph says:

Nice to see the guy get the shitty end of the stick for a change.

  2. pam says:

He does have a job – it has just been announced that he will direct the live action version of “Ghost in the Shell” for Dreamworks. Where is Radar getting this information, or is it made-up?

    • magda says:

      oooooooooooooooooooh noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!
I’m quite obsessed with Ghost in the Shell, and it’s a big no-no – I’m so negative about it that now I can’t say anything else but NO 😉
I don’t want any live action film, especially with Rupert Sanders.
I guess I run out my luck when Hollywood decided not to do live action Cowboy Bebop.

    • Sunlily says:

Nooooooooooooooooooo! Leave GITS alone. There isn’t an actress alive that can do the Major justice. Not even Saint Jolie, and let’s face it they will whitewash the shit out of it, so she’s going to be white.

      • magda says:

        @Sunlily
you’re probably right, but my biggest problem that I already know that it would be just a stupid action flick and all the depth of the orginal story will be lost.

Del Toro was brave enough to not have female white protagonist in Pacific Rim, but again maybe not so brave since this film was not designed to success on the US market.

      • jwoolman says:

And how will they get that hair on her boss in anything but animation?!? 🙂 Doesn’t really seem amenable to live action, though. But I thought the same thing about The Last Airbender and they went ahead and ruined it anyway.

    • Joyce says:

Well he also directed a big TV commercial that was aired at the Super bowl a few weeks back and another big beer commercial that came out earlier last year and maybe a sports one. He is attached to several movies.

Personally, I think Liberty’s interview late last fall was a prelude to something.

  3. Marty says:

Yeah, I’m sure his wondering dong had zero impact on his ruined life.

    • Liv says:

It’s totally the woman’s fault. Kristen lured him into it, he was quite helpless. Poor guy.

    • Jay says:

I don’t think anyone in the article is quoted as saying SHE ruined his life, apart from the headline which is not quoting anyone. If I missed something (aside from the headline) I honestly would appreciate someone pointing me to it.

      • LadySlippers says:

I tried to say the same thing. So I read the article it was taken from and it’s the exact thing that was excerpted here.

I think the title is, indeed, misleading.

      • Marty says:

I agree. What Kristen did was wrong, without question. But he was the one married with kids, he has no one to blame but himself for the state of his life and career.

      • Cheap Trick says:

Disagreed. The article grammatically frames it like he was neither the subject of the affair nor of his divorce:

        – “Kristen Stewart had cheated (…) with (…) Rupert Sanders”

        – “Liberty Ross, slapped him with divorce papers”

He is only made a subject of his actions when the article discusses how much he loves and suffers. Otherwise he is an object; a poor little thing that can´t help himself, indeed. I especially love how Liberty not only divorces him, but SLAPPES him with it. Aww… #maletears #misandry!

      • LadySlippers says:

@Cheap Trick: Eh, I don’t see how you can state that Rupert’s blaming KS for his troubles when another person wrote the article. Any information that came from ‘sources’ made him sound like a love-sick puppy not a man blaming her for anything, other than perhaps not going out with him again.

      • Cheap Trick says:

Ladyslippers, it is not what I said, though. I just pointed out how grammar was used to shift the blame towards not one, but two women. Hence the headline of KS (subject) ruining his life; he was just an object. It is a trick that politicians often use.

  4. BendyWindy says:

I have no thoughts on them, but every time I see that photo of Liberty in the blue dress…it’s just an awful, awful, unflattering thing. It makes me sad that THAT is the photo that gets splashed around again and again.

    • gg says:

I agree. She is a gorgeous woman and with the bad hair and wierd makeup she looks ludicrous in that photo. Like a jug-eared alien. And he looks like the cat that got the cream and got bored and greedy.

    • Cheap Trick says:

Oh well, she a beautiful woman, but her taste in fashion is not. that. good? So if it was´t that ugly dress, it would have been an equally awful piece of clothing, I am sure. On the bright side, her lipstick looks rad and she has cute ears.

  5. Arock says:

Big shrug to all of them. Although I do like seeing the wife come out ahead in this situation, liberty Ross really composed herself well out the ashes. Good for her.

  6. Mia4S says:

This might be believable if he hadn’t locked down the directing job on Ghost in the Shell like a week ago? Come on tabloids, get your act together!

    • Sullivan says:

Agree. His career wasn’t ruined by the affair and neither was Stewart’s. There was a lull, maybe. I understand why people would want this to be true. They want very public punishments or consequences. I think it’s more likely that his punishment, or consequence, is a divorce and not getting to see his kids much.

    • Annie says:

Directing jobs with no production date are pretty much no jobs at all. They fall apart easy and they are not locked down. He has a lot of friends in te industry who no doubt love to help him out, but until you see him on set, those announcements mean nothing. He got two jobs during the scandal. He never directed a thing.

  7. HadleyB says:

I feel they are both scuzzy but I don’t get how being together now or even back then “ruined” their careers? She was no Jolie, he was no super famous director so? And even if he was …

I mean Jolie survived the Anniston/Pitt mess … Liz Taylor survived breaking up a breaking up a marriage back in pilgrim times so I think this is just a case of no news to report or boo hoo hoo he can’t get gigs and is blaming what happened. She is not a great actress herself .. she is lucky she got Twilight and is set for life with $$$ but as for being a real actress? She can’t act. She is the same in every movie, sounds the same, talks the same, body language is the same … she is just playing herself and saying some lines. Like a younger Anniston. YAWN to both of them.

    • Maya says:

And Jennifer Aniston survived despite wrecking not 1 or 2 but 3 relationships.

    • Nina W says:

TBH nobody really cares about this stuff but the stans. If they make good movies no one will give a damn what they get up to off screen. But Kristen is way over-hyped and this episode was perfect for the 24 news cycle. They both need to flip the script or this will be all they are know for.

    • Janet says:

Both Jolie and Taylor were Oscar-winning actresses with enormous box-office clout. KStew can’t act her way out of a paper bag and is forever type-cast as Bella Swan. The franchise is done and so is she.

      • Lex says:

So if you’re successful and well liked it doesn’t matter what you do?
What does someone’s award winning status have to do with anything?

I don’t care what ANY of them do in their personal lives but I can see that it’s silly to go around making exceptions for some because of ‘talent’

  8. kingkayski says:

He seems to always have that twinkle in his eyes whenever he’s standing beside Kristen ,and dead eyes beside his wife.

    • EarlGreyer says:

I noticed that too. He seemed to really have feelings (or maybe just lusty feelings) for Stewart

  9. dizzylucy says:

I kind of doubt he’s still in love with her, I would bet he’s more just depressed he got caught and divorced, his career and bank account took a hit, and now he’s all alone.

  10. FingerBinger says:

I was always under the impression that they just had a non sexual fling, but clearly it was much more.

    • mess says:

      clearly?

    • Jayna says:

Well, obviously they did or it wouldn’t have destroyed his marriage, but that doesn’t mean he is pining for her. This is a gossip article. It’s certainly not gospel or fact. RadarOnline can’t even employ a journalist that can spell or know how to punctuate a sentence. Some of the wrong words they use in articles are hysterical. Posters make fun of their unprofessionalism all the time. More likely he is pining for his wife who he did not want the divorce from and losing his marriage over a little twit like Kristen..

    • Virgilia Coriolanus says:

If they felt it was more than sex or excitement, then they would’ve seen getting caught as a way to openly be together, I think. At the very least, Kristen and Rob wouldn’t have been doing that breakup and makeup thing that they did last year.

I think it was good old fashioned lust, and that’s all. If I was Rob, I would be more pissed about that, than the actual affair. I think that you can handle your partner cheating or leaving you because they’re not in love with you, a lot better than the person cheating because they want to.

Which is exactly what happened here.

  11. Delta Juliet says:

Why would they get together now just because they can? He seemed far more into her than she was into him. I don’t get the impression she really wants him anymore. Typical married man looking for excitement, single girl looking for a good time.

  12. Leah says:

There is no fool like an old fool.

    • FingerBinger says:

      42 is old?

      • Shannon1972 says:

Oh wow, I’m old?? When did that happen?? I turn 42 on Thursday.
I’m going to go cry into my coffee now…

      • Delta Juliet says:

Relatively speaking, when your amore is early 20’s. And I say this as a 39 year old 😉

      • FingerBinger says:

        LOL! IKR Happy B day

      • Leah says:

I am sorry, didn’t mean to offend you. He is 20 years older than Kristen, so relatively speaking he is an old man crushing on a young girl. I didn’t mean he is old. Point is he should know better. Remember the age difference is almost the same as with amber heard and johnny depp and everyone makes fun of depp for his midlife crisis, i don’t see this as much different.

    • AG-UK says:

I know what you mean, Old enough to know better.. No he isn’t old per se

  13. Side-Eye says:

I just-I just can’t imagine that the sex with her was that great.

  14. xxx says:

Absolutely he did it to himself. She may have had some “casting couch” relationship with him, with her thinking he would help her career. She’s smart to stay out of it and I never really believed she was a true couple with RPatz anyways. Wife gets the $ and freedom from a cheat, though painful it is a typical story of what sounds like a male midlife crisis if the article is factual.

    • mayamae says:

You know I paid no attention to Rob and Kristen because I haven’t read or seen any of the Twilight stories. But I agree there was a power imbalance between Kristen and Rupert, and not in the way that most people claim. Rupert had the advantage of age and the position of authority. Kristen is teetering on the edge of being permanently stereotyped. This movie was huge for her to show that she has box office appeal beyond the whole vampire crap. After Star Wars, the actors probably thought they would be superstars for the rest of their lives. Kristen has yet to discover if she’s Mark Hamill or Harrison Ford.

This is not excusing anyone’s behavior, I’m just tired of the theme – powerful Hollywood star took advantage of poor dorky new director.

  15. malina says:

she might have wanted some fun with him but no way she would be up for starting a family life with a man twice her age. Can anybody imagine how quickly he would get disillusioned then?

  16. QQ says:

BEHOLD Between my Thumb and pointing finger plays the world’s smallest violin, it plays the most saddest mournful song, for this asshole

    • PunkyMomma says:

      ^This. With a snort.

    • Tulip Garden says:

      @QQ,
      LOL!
BTW, took your suggestion about True Detective and was going to watch one episode last night, yeah, I ended up watching all of them! Thanks, I love it!

      • QQ says:

Oh wasn’t it supergood?! I need to have my True Detective people so we can just go on and on about it on mondays

      • Tulip Garden says:

I will be one of your people! I was so impressed with Woody and Matthew plus the production of the show. These type shows are why television is fast becoming a better medium not only for storytelling but for quality actors to really explore their craft. I have enjoyed television far more in the past 2-3 years than I have the cinema going experience in general. This is another show that cements that for me!

    • mia girl says:

      Exactly ^THIS^
      Poor little douchebag.

  17. Nerd Alert says:

He’s an idiot, and he ruined his own life.

Anyway, this happened in my real life. An old friend hooked up with her manager, a married man at the same place I used to work. It just so happens that the wife has MS and was a study patient of mine (using “was” very loosely; yesterday was my last day and I’m still consulting). I’d run into them at parties and he was such an awful jerk while his wife was struggling with her illness. He tried to befriend my BF by saying I was such a pain he probably needed a break, and then insulted his taste. Anyway, at their job it’s forbidden for management to get involved with regular employees and I happened to see them out on a date.

I was PISSED. I could care less about their jobs but this girl was soooo holier than thou all through college about romance and love and called me a slut for sleeping with men who were just friends and not my boyfriend, and the list goes on. She would rail against cheaters, though. Anyway, I told my good friend who still works there as another manager and asked her what to do and she ended up very angry because this was not his first warning. She told on him and guess what? HE lost his job but she got off scott-free, not even a slap on the wrist. I couldn’t believe it. I don’t feel sorry for him at all, but can’t help but be reminded by His Douchiness Rupert.

  18. capepopsie says:

He should´ve thought about that while he was busy mini coopering.

  19. Jayna says:

Directors have affairs all the time. I don’t see why his career would be ruined if he’s an excellent director. People don’t stay away from movies because the director had an affair.

    • Tulip Garden says:

      …..or worse, see Woody Allen.

    • Nerd Alert says:

LOL but he’s really not an excellent director.

      • Virgilia Coriolanus says:

I agree, Nerd Alert. He would’ve been fine if SWATH had actually been a good movie–it wasn’t. Charlize and Thor were good, but other than that? Kristen was awful (I was counting how many times she bit her lip, rolled her eyes, or sighed)–she had the wonkiest British accent ever. It was like she couldn’t decide if she wanted to sound British or not, as she kept using it on and off.

And the movie just dragged on and on–I skipped thirty minutes of it, and STILL felt like I had been sitting there all day.

If he’d been a good director, he would’ve been fine.

  20. CC says:

Am I the only one that finds these pictures extremely creepy and disgusting? the his’n’hers outfits, the secret smile we now know the reason for…UGH.

  21. lunchcoma says:

I think the One True Love thing would help him a bit, though really, all he needs to do as a director is make a successful movie and this will mostly be forgotten. I don’t think dating him would help her at all – we’d just end up seeing a bunch of awkward pictures of 23-year-old Kristin with Rupert’s school age children and likely hearing about some drama with his former wife.

Kristin is young enough that I think she can hold out hope for a Claire Danes style redemption. Sure, she irritates people now, but when she’s 30 and has moved on to other relationships, I think people will be more likely to chalk it up to a bad decision.

  22. Sara says:

Why can’t they be together? He is divorced and she is single. Even if they didn’t want it to be public they could still be together.

    • Annie says:

That was not love. He was an insecure middleage douche who let his first directing job go to his head. She was a bored little brat trying to have bad things happen to her because omg my life is so perfect and easy! I need some ~*DrAmA*~ because I’m so boring without it.

That was nothing but they sure gambled everything for it and they lost it.

  23. Lila says:

I can to some degree believe this. A Rupert-like idiot told me once that when you’ve lost everything for something, you have to feel like it was worth it even if you are just telling yourself that. I think he wanted Kristen, he got her and it cost him Liberty. Then he lost Kristen, Liberty dumped him, and Kristen is the only one he has even a chance with at this point. So he’s in love. I seriously doubt he was really that in love with either one of them by the time of the affair but this sounds typical. Radar still needs to learn to read the papers on the career part though.

I do believe the part about Kristen Stewart. She can own all the mistakes she wants as long as she recognizes them as mistakes. In the Marie Claire article it talked about her going on road trips with her girlfriends, reconnecting with high school friends, focusing on figuring out what she enjoys- that sounds like a girl figuring her sh!t out, not someone caught up on a married man and relationship that blew up her life.

  24. Nicolette says:

Boo hoo. Then maybe he should have thought it out beforehand with the head that sits on his shoulders rather than the one that’s below his waist. Just sayin’.

    • JWQ says:

I am not a fan of Kristen Stewart at all! I cannot stand her, and I do think that whoever dates married people knowing that they are married is a douchebag, regardless of the gender, but for God’ s sake, no one forced this idiot to cheat on his wife! A person has the right to ask, it is YOUR duty to say no if you are taken/engaged/married! Just keep your dick in in your pants!

  25. Annie says:

Hollywood is full of perverts who take advantage of their position and I’m sure the only thing that bothers him is that he didn’t get to keep anything. Not Kristen, not his director status, not his wife, not his family. He completely lost everything because he gambled everything, and I have no doubt thy he feels like shit but he deserves it. His first directing job and he had to blow it all. Talk about being a major idiot. You think it’s easy to get directing jobs, it’s actually not. And most directors lose money. This idiot actually made money directing a major production for a major studio. Nothing more privileged than that and he let that go to his head.
It’s good to see idiots getting exactly what they deserve.

And Kristen might have landed a Chanel gig but she’s back at making movies nobody is going to see, slowly fading into oblivion while more Jennifer Lawrences and Shailene Woodleys have the more interesting careers because they’re not a-holes and people actually like them.

  26. Tig says:

If Rupert is in love with anyone,it’s himself. After all, when they got caught out, both ran screaming like scalded cats to their respective SOs- that hardly screams love affair of the ages to me.

And, again, hollywood is all about $$$. Both Rupert and KS through their stupidity in being caught out like they did put two mega-budget projects in a bad light-that’s the sin to H’wood types. And the clock is ticking on RS to stage a comeback to the point where he’s in charge of a multi-million blockbuster project. And quite frankly, while SWATH was gorgeous to look at, it was very draggy and really an unfocused mess for the most part.

And the timing of this article after KS’ manifesto in Marie Claire is why she should stay away from any proposed sequel- it will obviously be brought up over and over again. And she may have to answer hard questions which to date have never been put to her.

    • PunkyMomma says:

Couldn’t agree with you more. All the studio sees is the bottom line and these two sank what was going to be a three film franchise. I’d be surprised if a sequel is ever made. The SWATH franchise will always be footnoted with the notoriety of the Sanders/Stewart affair.

  27. boredsuburbanhousewife says:

Why doesn’t Kristin want to be with him now that they are both single? Hmmm, maybe because he’s the kind of guy who cheats on his wife……

  28. Corrie says:

This made me smirk and vomit a bit in my mouth. He’s a king of the douchebags. Run Kristen. Do you girl. Don’t do him. lol

  29. Lark says:

Radar Online so obvious BS and he’s landed a few movies (which haven’t materialized), but I can believe the douchebag “blames” her. I got the vibe he screwed around with a lot of different women, but Kstew was the one he got caught with because of her profile and that he channeled all of his rage at getting caught on to her fame and her. He gave a creepy ass quote that I remember coming out in the whole mess or before it about how he “waited for his wife to be legal” the first time they dated before they got together again when she was a tiny bit older. Now, she was 15 then and he was several years older so he was 22 or 23. So creepy that he thought that was an appropriate thing to say, and kind of going with my theory that he likes really young women. I also think if he was serious about getting his career on track, he’d move to England or start doing smaller projects in LA instead of trying to direct big movies which are having problems being put together.

That said it’s 2014 and as someone said the other day it’s getting tiresome that this is still a thing two years later. Having read the Marie Claire article in full, I did not think Kristen was referencing any of this shit but rather her struggle with fame and not going to school over acting but it was spun this way because she stupidly mentioned love (or possibly her sexuality) earlier in the interview and people know what gets hits. She just needs to shut it on certain topics, or this all comes up again.

    • Nina W says:

It’s not going to go away. She needs to learn proper PR to deal with it and not make stupid sweeping statements that open her up to criticism about her past indiscretions.

  30. Megan says:

Maybe no one wants to hire him because Snow White and Huntsman completely sucked.

  31. mia girl says:

I think most of all, he misses her poetry.

  32. Kelly says:

Oh enough already, they sure seem desperate for publicity lately.
And who would care if they got together you ask?
If they had both broken off with their significant others immediately after the affair, stayed silent and then waited a few months as single people to officially announce they’re together it might have worked. But she went pleading back to Pattinson to save face, and he clinged to Ross for the same reason, along with those pathetic embarrassing lame public apologies (people, it is your private life, wtf is it with the PUBLIC apologies, how low can you stoop and grovel just for publicity sake), any hope of a reunion now would just make them look like even lower weasels than they already do.

  33. The Original G says:

The problem here, is not the personal fallout. People in HW f*ck around all the time.

The mistake they made was that they pissed all over two film franchises and millions and millions of dollars in investments. They’re not on the out because of sex, they’re on the outs because of business. It’s not a morality tale. It’s about the MONEY.

    • Nina W says:

I agree and the cherry was the being caught in public by the paps, HW is just shaking it’s head at their stupidity. PR 101.

  34. ParisPucker says:

BS. If Polanski can still have a career after a scandal, so can this guy. And if the bonus is ‘…at least he’s not a pedophile!’ as a glass-is-half-full statement on the guy’s state of affairs, then yes, that’s pretty sad. We are the creators of our own destiny — no one else is to blame or responsible. Look how giddily happy he looks posing w Kristen?!? And ‘over it’ he looks posing w his wifey at the time? I think he did fall for lip-biter …and he’s also, obviously an epic dumb*ss. (Who openly makes out with the star of your film in car in parking lot?!?) Stupidity reaps its rewards. Lip-biter is a young young woman, so people will always be more forgiving to her and her mistakes, rather than give any free passes to a married man who should have been her mentor, rather than openly fondling her and obviously banging her. It’s all a bit pathetically sad, isn’t it??

  35. mercy says:

Egads, man, get a grip. No excuses for selfish, cold-hearted KStew’s role in all of this, but this creep is responsible for ruining his career and destroying his family. Obviously the last thing he should be thinking about is KStew, and that part doesn’t ring true. There are plenty of desperate wannabe actresses who would still be impressed by him, sadly. He should focus on getting some work. It’s the least he could do for his kids.

  36. Hiddles forever says:

    Of course he blames her.
HE ruined HIS career and HIS life, he WAS also married and he ruined HIS family.
    Think twice next time, douche.

  37. Lola says:

If President Clinton survived his cheating scandal and is making millions to this day, I think Rupert could work a little harder to get his financial status moving upward. He needs to stop thinking with the wrong head. There are more responsible things to life than bedding a youngin’

  38. Kosmos says:

I’ve heard that he has been having some good projects, contrary to what I’m reading here, so…..yes, he made a terrible choice when he chose this route by his own choosing. What was he thinking? Now that he and K are both single people, perhaps the thought of really being together is not so much fun. They don’t have to sneak around, for one thing, which might have made their affair even more alluring. No, the allure is gone and only the damage remains. I’m still furious with them both for doing this to Liberty.

  39. AnnieCL says:

Haha! OMG! ’23’ & ’42’ & he still can’t get over her! As if! She was a boink, nothing more. I wouldn’t be surprised if his peeps put this out to ‘garner’ sympathy. It would ruin his credibility to ‘get with her’ “legitimately” now! OMG, that’s too funny!

  40. Goddess says:

What utter bollocks. You destroyed your own life by choosing to cheat. You ruined your life and career. I loathe both of them for cheating but I hate the fact that you’re blaming it all on KS when it takes two to tango. You had choices. You made the wrong ones. Cheating is never an accident. Cheating is a choice. So **ck you for not taking responsibility for your mistake.

  41. ElleV says:

Rupert Sanders ruined his own life and career when he chose to cheat. Kristen Stewart wasn’t something that “happened” to him.

  42. Evi says:

Even though Stewart is an adult and was an adult, his decision to continue a dalliance with her pretty much gives him a predatory profile.
Sure enough Kristen isn’t innocent in this saga either. She decided to cheat on her partner with Rupert. They’re both vile in my book, but as the older man in the position he has, I doubt other agents or managers would be thrilled with having their young starlets work with him.

  43. Lauraq says:

It wouldn’t be much different from Leann/Eddie if they did get together, would it?

What he did was very wrong, but it’s BS to see him going downhill so much for a simple affair whilst Woody and Roman are just fine.
