Alternate headline: “Did Brad Pitt & Angelina bang in the limo on their way to the BAFTAs?”
Quite honestly, I can’t get enough of these Brangelina BAFTA photos. I think Angelina Jolie is just the kind of woman who likes to bang her men in the limo on the way to a red carpet, because that’s exactly what it looks like in these photos. Brad and Angelina look post-coital, like he untied her as soon as they got into the limo and maybe there was a beej involved too. Damn.
Anyway, Angelina wore Saint Laurent. She’s been wearing a lot of Saint Laurent over the past year… I wonder what that’s about? I don’t know if the “untied bow tie” detail was part of the original runway look for Saint Laurent, or if Angelina just decided to style it this way, but it’s a great look. Angelina almost always kills it when she does a tailored menswear-inspired look – she’s one of those woman who can work the hell out of a great suit. Angelina’s earrings are Tiffay’s and she’s wearing her ginormous engagement ring too. Brad’s suit is Valentino… interesting. Usually he’s ride-or-die for Tom Ford.
Brad won too… 12 Years a Slave picked up Best Picture (and Chiwetel Ejiofor won Best Actor too).
I’m so happy that Brad and Angelina did the BAFTA red carpet! I hope there are more appearances and red carpets to come. I mean, obviously I want them to do the Oscar red carpet too, but I want to see more of them leading up the Oscars.

I agree with you! I’m BRCA1 like Angie and have been through the same surgeries. I’m hanging in there and looking healthy, not unlike Angie. Is she thin? Yes… Yet glowing and radiant. Beating this is no joke, and being upright and smiling is a coup.

She does look tired–how long is the flight from LA to London? I’ve only flown twice (from NY to Texas) and I slept the whole way, even though it was a three hour flight (we had to drive, then took a short flight to Chicago, I think, and then the three hour flight–all day), and then I went straight to my uncle’s house and slept the whole night.
Seriously? Your ‘very tired,’ and ‘older than her age,’ must be vastly different than the rest of the world’s observations because most sites are saying she’s pretty dam flawless, beautiful and fresh. Brad and Angie looked freaking amazing. I don’t like Brad’s tie.. but when she had to stop and fix it well that was that. And the crowd when crazy. She is just Stunning ( and that word is used in the correct context). They really are such an attractive couple. When they are are together I seriously can’t think of a counter match for either. She is working that look. The tie is attacked I think. It reminded me of Shiloh last year in Paris.. she had on a similar thing. Angie said she channels her kids.. Cute..
I have missed them the most at the Awards shows. and this was such a treat for me as a fan. I don’t care if it sound obsessed or not.. They are IT and they owned the night.
If it makes you feel better about Lupita losing… The public voted and I doubt that many people have seen 12 Years yet. So while every one seems to be charmed by her beauty and style- few have had a chance to see her act.
The public only voted for the ‘rising star’ award. All the other awards were chosen by BAFTA members. And ’12 Years’ has been out in the UK for several weeks now.

He said that Brad and Angie couldn’t be there so they sent in replacements. But it was easy to tell it was not them because Angie’s eyes were a different color and Brad would never wear or be seen in that dress.

I’m not a huge fan of women in tuxedos, but I have to say she looks breathtaking, beautiful and sexy. I think she’s feeling better now, and looking prettier than ever. I’m happy for her after all she has been through.

She looks incredible—this is the best she has looked in a couple of years imo. She also looks like she’s gained a tiny amount of weight. It wasn’t until I looked at some old photos of Angelina in an article recently that I realized she has always had super thin arms—it’s just gets more pronounced when she’s at a lower weight. Anyway, she looks healthy and good here imo.
Can’t say as I liked the outfit (as much as I ever like or dislike any fashion, in which I fail miserably at having any interest) but I thought it was ideal for a time when you’re turning up to support a film but not take the limelight from its main architects.
i’m torn. on the one hand i really like it on her, she can pull of pantsuits like nobody’s business. and it’s understated enough for a night when she’s “just” BP’s plus one.
but i wish it’s halfway between this one and Ruth Wilson’s. not full blown bling and sculptural to within an inch of the fabric’s life…

I’m not a huge fan of Angelina, and have long thought she’s been losing her famous looks. However, she was stunningly gorgeous and sexy last night. Not many people could have carried off that look, but she did, and then some.

I am not a fan of Jolie either but that doesn’t mean that I lose objectivity about her. Like you, I’ve thought that she has been losing her looks for awhile. However, she really did look good here. To me, this is the best she has looked in a long time. Her face seems a tad fuller and the outfit is extremely flattering. This was an excellent choice for her imo.
Yes, it was a smart choice. She’s a bigger star than many of the female guests at the BAFTAs, but was still only there as Brad’s plus one. So in going for a quirky, off-beat look, she managed to look great without overshadowing any of the nominees. Well played.

That’s a very good way of putting it. She seemed to go from the full bloom of youth to middle-aged almost overnight.

Happily, going by these pictures, that is no longer something Brad needs to worry about.
I think it’s because of her body type. One thing that always stuck out to me, was that she was extremely skinny, and that her face always had a slightly cherubic quality to it. And then after she hit thirty and started losing the fat in her face, she lost that quality, that made her seem almost babyfaced (but not as bad as Selena Gomez). But I think, based on how her mom was, that after she hits forty she’ll gain weight and look a lot younger. I remember seeing pics of her mom and couldn’t believe that she was in her fifties–I thought she looked like she as in her early forties, because of the added weight. I don’t think Angelina looks old, but she looks mature.

I agree about the skipping of her thirties, I think that is one reason that she and Pitt look good together. They don’t look like there is a huge age difference between them. Also, pretty and boy are two words that Pitt really doesn’t have to worry about anymore. He can move on to distinguished which I think he has pulled off for the most part here. I just can’t give him a pass when he looks hobo-ish which for some reason is a look that he has always liked to sport on and off but looks much worse as he ages.

The lack of body fat does age her. I have said the same about Duchess Kate. Both look better with a little additional weight. I think the tux was an excellent choice because it brings the focus up to her face which is smart, imo.

I agree that you’d never guess there was a 13 year age difference between him and Angie. They look about the same age – she looks older than her age, he looks slightly younger. Which isn’t to say he’s aging well – his looks have definitely changed, and not for the better, yet somehow he still doesn’t look his age.

Most people in the public eye don’t admit to fillers or plastic surgery yet we talk about the fact that they look like they have had enhancements. I don’t think Pitt is any different. If he has had work, I doubt he’d admit it but that doesn’t mean that we can’t speculate.
Why would he be a hypocrite? Many young and attractive actors, particularly the males, disparage how their looks are discussed too much or are holding them back but leap forward twenty or thirty years and they are trying to hold onto them. That isn’t even remarkable it is so common. Pitt and Depp being two high profile examples. I don’t think that makes Brad a hypocrite. It just makes him human.

You know in retrospect I might have been off in calling out Depp. He did always used to look freakishly young followed by whatever happened to him around “The Tourist” which may have been au naturelle (sp?) but not good. I can see him venturing into this territory soon as his aging has become obvious and normal but the youngster on his arm accents that a lot. He may resort to enhancements because of that.
I better example may be Tom Cruise whom I cannot stand but who I think has had work done. Good work at that.

I dont remember the specifics but I do remember Jennifer went on to Oprah and denied being split from Vince Vaughn and then later admitted that she lied.
I also remember Oprah took Jennifer’s side by declaring that Angelina will never be invited to her TV show but that Brad was welcome (which I found weird).
There were rumours going around years ago that Jennifer and Oprah has fallen out and arent on speaking terms anymore. Jennifer hasnt been on Oprah’s show for years and wasnt even there for the Final episode were all of Oprah show business friends were there.

The Daily Mail had pictures this morning of Brange and Oprah talking and laughing together at the BAFTAS.
@Maya that is not true Gayle King addressed that rumor on her radio show several years ago I was listening to her show when a listerner called in and asked her. She said Oprah never banned AJ from her show. She was asked to do the show multiple times including in the last season. She was also asked to do Ellen, The View, Regis and Kelly, etc. She hasn’t appeared on any talk show besides Anderson Cooper and John Stewart in the last 9 years.She has turned down these shows. She has also declined invites to Leno,Letterman, etc since 2005. Besides Fallon Brad hasn’t appeared on a late night show either as a sit down guest. He did a skit on Kimmel. She seems to like Charlie Rose. I would love to see her on Ellen since Brad has appeared there twice over the last few years. She will also only do a handful of mags like Marie Claire,Esquire, VF and Vogue. Didn’t mean to rant but I’m tired of the rumor about Oprah when her BFF Gayle cleared it up .

I personally think Brad and Angelina have decided to not do TV shows after TV shows because they are already overexposed with the constant paps and fans following. They are tying to keep things to themselves and also be a bit mysterious.

I think Angelina looked beautiful and I like the idea of the tux, but the lines of the open collar didn’t look quite right to me. I like the effort though. Light years better than Brad’s no collar tux- whoever designed that managed to make a classic Valentino tux look strangely cheap.
She looked stunning. She totally owned the red carpet and every other dress in competition faded away. You have to love how she can do that. Now, every media outlet and “jouralist” will be focused on her on Oscar night (moreso than usual).
I loved how they keep reaching for each other and holding hands, especially when there were candid shots from inside the ceremony of just their backs.
Brad looked amazing and I thought he looked 1000 times better at the after party with no tie and the open collar – rawr.
One of the best photos was that shot of Brad’s hands all over Angie in the limo, so – I’ll bet they had a great time in the limo both coming and going 😉

Nah. I don’t think she’s using a spray tan. If you look closely you would find that’s just the lightning on the RC and the camera flash caused her skin colour look different on some pictures.
Angelina is the one who dominated most of the BAFTA headlines and Angelina & Brad were the ones who got the biggest crowd reaction!
And Angelina’s tan is natural from Australia.

The pants look great. I never like the shirt, tie, jacket combo on a woman. Her shirt doesn’t work for me here either. Large breasted women have to have a better tailored white button down than this. Hair, make-up: perfect. Shoes: classic. Shirt, jacket, tie:fail.

They really are amazing at working the red carpet – solidarity, beauty and heat. (Even if Brad doesn’t do it for me anymore). Is it just me, or does Angie look like she’s had some fillers around the smile lines to add volume in profile pics?
Nice idea to wear matching smokings. Angelina wears it well, but a bit too much make-up. Brad doesn’t look good at all though. His eyes seem to be disappearing into his head, while his cheeks seem to be expanding. Maybe it’s the atrocious haircut (don’t like it on anyone else either), but more likely it’s his age finally showing.
He’s always been squinty eyed/heavy lidded–not as bad as Del Toro or Eddie Cibrian, but you get the implication. And it gets worse as you age, glad I’m not squinty eyed naturally.
Angie and Brad looked So great. As usual she has just set a trend on the RC. And the pic of Oprah reaching for Angie’s hand was priceless. Brad held on tight to her. And the guy with Oprah was star struck on meeting Angie.. And congrats to TYAS on their wins.

Oprah is typically an astute person but my guess is her former agent (a humane brother) influenced her greatly. Bottomline she’s realized she picked the wrong horse (literally heh). Aniston is the proverbial hamster on a wheel with her no talent acting and no accomplishments of note other than playing the victim and demonizing her ex and his family. Meanwhile brangelina since they’ve gotten together have gotten nods from oscar at least 3x and have industry respect and power. Oprah was recently snubbed by Oscar. Obviously being known as Aniston’s enabler/ wet nurse hasn’t helped her in the industry…It’s no wonder she ditched the huvane bro and has started breaking away from that purported aniston friendship which was fake anyway.

Since you brought up Jennifer Aniston, this might be a good place to say that I tried to watch “Wanderlust” Saturday evening, but I couldn’t get past her face … her lips, in particular. That must have been one of several occasions when she had her lips injected. She looked like she had trouble talking and tried WAY too hard to be ‘pouty.’ Jen wouldn’t know ‘sex appeal’ if it mailed itself to her in a box with ribbon.
I LOVE all of Angelina’s shoes. I think she has really good fashion sense in shoes because I always see her rocking a pair that I WANT and those are very in style right now.
I NEED that outfit in my life. It wouldn’t look half as good on me, of course, but who cares? And, dare I say, I think her suit’s better than his.
I love the way she rocks the tux but she looks skinny. I have the feeling she had a little more meat on her when she was younger.

Some people can rock messy hair, or casual and unfussy as I like to call it. Jolie is one of them. I like the softness next to her soaring cheekbones.
I must be one of the few that doesn’t care for this outfit on her. To be fair though, I rarely like this look. Always reminds me of Diane Keaton.
I like it a lot, and I am not a fan of her red carpet usually. I like the cut of the jacket and even the tie. Less crazy about the silk racing stripe on the pant, simple would have been better. Brad just does nothing for me, that haircut is godawful and he looks puffy.

I find it amusing, in a strange sort of way, how anyone who doesn’t worship at the feet of the sacred Jolie-Pitts is always accused of being ‘jealous’, a ‘hater’, unable to face ‘reality’ etc. Just fyi, not everyone thinks these two mediocre actors are living saints. I’m sure they’re nice people and all that, but they’re not sacrosanct.
@Ice Maiden, I so agree. I rather like Brad’s acting and I think he is very talented and interesting, but not perfect. As for Angelina, I do find her mediocre. If she didn’t have that face she would have had a much different career. And I am of the opinion that she is, mostly, from the Jack Nicholson school of acting: she mostly plays herself. I find her very distracting on screen, not someone who draws me into the story. And I find it interesting how EVERY OTHER WOMAN who has an affair with a married man gets taken to task but Angie gets a pass. #JustSayin.

Angie is a sexy badass, a trailblazer, a woman with universal appeal and status. She keeps winning over and over again. She keeps it smoking hot and sexy in one minute hanging out supporting her beefcake Brad, then hosts a world summit with prime ministers, presidents and world leaders the very next day. Everything she touches turns to gold. Whether she is the leader or just part of a team, she ALWAYS stands out.
Her accomplishments are quite extensive for an actress aged 38. She just received received an Oscar in November 2013. Perhaps you did not know this? Go check out her IDMB website and then comment. One thing is to have an opinion and the other is to rant while uninformed.
Again, Angie’s professional profile dominates and is nothing to sneeze at. And yes, she is also very beautiful as well.
AND she has earned every accolade that she has accomplished. Brad and Angie are termed the “King and Queen of Hollywood” for a reason. They don’t just walk the red carpet, they OWN it.

Love it! Angie can definitely rock menswear inspired attire and look incredibly sexy without showing cleavage, an open back or a thigh-high slit. She just oozes glamor and sex appeal without even trying. That’s one of the things I love about her. Her glamor comes with a healthy dose of low maintenance, ease and naturalness.
This look reminds me of their matching style in Paris for the WWZ premiere. She was also in St. Laurent then too. Oh, to have an unlimited credit line in St. Laurent — just for one day!

Of course I read the whole post and I don’t see anywhere in that post the thing that you are insinuating over and over again: that they don’t love each other and that ” sizzle is gone”. Quite the opposite.
But, of course, you have answer for every situation: if they don’t smile in pictures, their ” sizzle is missing”, if they do, they are just pretending and playing the game. And so it goes for ten years.
Um, Maggie… “sizzle” doesn’t usually last more than a few years. It’s a superficial state that burns out quickly. If the couple is good together, the sizzle is usually replaced by a deep, lasting feeling of mutual happiness and contentment. That’s what I’m sensing between these two.

Well that’s like saying, if Angie is in a tux, why can’t Brad wear a dress?lol. Any time a woman is in slacks, it always appears more casual, at least to me, than if they were in a gown. Since she is usually decked out at big awards shows and they haven’t been seen at one for awhile, it was a surprising choice.

I know, its hard to look at actors you know for decades and then to see them age like this, because we realize we aged too. it destroys our youth too. As long as they dont change, we think, we didnt change either. look at his pics ten years ago and then at pics from today, and then do the same with your pics. This is moaning on a very high level in pitts case.
Ah well I’m just expressing my opinion..it could just be indeed that I’m projecting my own fears of the ageing process onto poor old Brad, but then if that was the case surely I wouldn’t prefer Richard Gere and George Clooney as they look now with their silver hair and laughter lines ? 🙂

The photos of these two look REAL uncomfortable to me….. I am good at reading body language… Something doesn’t feel right…. On a positive note, I like seeing actors look their age…. Brad looks distinguished with a few lines.. Jolie’s shiny, ironed face is all angular and, quite frankly, ugly….. She was such a natural beauty as a child and young woman BUT she messed herself up with the chemicals she has ingested and injected. 🙁 Harsh, but true. Not a huge fan, but I like the tux and I guess I am one of the few who doesn’t think she’s too skinny. That being said, I just don’t get the “most beautiful woman ever” thing. I think she has a big forehead and an odd profile. And she looks better when she’s smiling and not just looking smug like in these photos.

The way some people talk about aging is depressing. She is aging. We all are, and if we’re lucky we’ll all get to continue aging and growing for a very long time.
Every thing about Angelina looks flawless here, from her skin (so gorgeous!), make up, hair, suit and right down to her shoes- absolute perfection.

My only quibbles are her shoes and his tie and haircut, though I’ve always preferred him with shorter hair (or at least not Fabio length). Her shoes are fine, but I think a simple open-toe stiletto sandal would have provided a nice contrast to the slim pants and tux. His tie looks like odd – too high up and the metal clip is showing. The haircut accentuates his chubby cheeks and wide jaw, but I assume it’s for a movie and it’s nothing a couple weeks growth on the sides won’t help. They both look like they’re aging fabulously to these eyes.

I’m a big fan of YSL women tuxedos, but I don’t like Angeline’s silhouette in this one. The cigarrette pants make her upper body look too big. Or maybe she should have buttoned the jacket… I don’t know. It makes her shirt look ill fitting. But her face sure is gorgeous.

In the rest of the pictures they look fine. But in that first picture, I’m sorry but my first impression was that Angelina was a Madame Tussaud statue. Her skin looks really waxy in that picture. And it doesn’t really go away in the other pictures, it’s just less noticeable.
