Are Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber planning a wedding?

Is a pre-baby wedding in Naomi Watts and Liev Schrieber’s future? Watts is pregnant with the cute couple’s first child and word is that they’re planning a small wedding in her native Australia and will follow up with a big bash in the US after the baby arrives:

NAOMI Watts and her boyfriend, Liev Schreiber, have decided they don’t want their unborn child to be illegitimate. The couple once planned to marry after their first child is born. But now Watts wants to tie the knot with Schreiber, 39, before she gives birth in late summer. “There’s not enough time to plan a big wedding,” an insider told In Touch. “They’ll have just 25 guests for the nuptials in her hometown of Sydney, Australia, with a lavish wedding reception for all their stateside friends after the baby is born.” Watts’ rep declined comment.

Liev, 39, confirmed his girlfriend Naomi Watts, 38, is pregnant on Late Night with Conan O’Brien in late February. He made jokes that he was useless around the house and said that Naomi wanted to “party” since she got pregnant. (Thanks Millie!) Naomi was definitely showing at the Academy Awards, and they must have figured it was time to make an announcement.

I hope these two do get married – not that they have to if they’re having a baby. They make a cute couple and it’s been fun to see them become more comfortable going public with their relationship.

Watts is set to star in a new film about exotic animal training which will be a romantic comedy.

Thanks to Socialite’s Life for the header picture, taken in mid-March. Naomi is also shown in a recent bump picture, found at People.

She’s also scheduled to do a psychological thriller with Nicole Kidman (“Need”). I doubt this item is true though. They can’t travel to Sydney because Liev’s Talk Radio on Broadway runs until the end of June and by then it will be too late for her to fly. If they get married, they’ll probably get married in NYC.
