Tortoises are awesome. Clarification though: can turtles live as long? My sister and brother both have them, and it’s always made me laugh to think they can outlive all of us.
Some sea turtles can live a very long time. 80-200 years seems to be the range depending on the kind. They are one of the animals that bodes better in the wild than in captivity.
I have terrapins and they can live between 25 and 75 years. Their lifespan depends on the care they receive, amongst other things.

I should have clarified- as an unmarried woman in her late 20s, I get enough crap from relatives so I’m not saying being single is bad. I imagine Ashley, with two recently-engaged sisters and a serious boyfriend, must be pulling out her hair with the “You’re next!” comments she’s getting right about now.
I think Ashley will be happy for both her sisters. They seem to be close.
