  1. Oh Lord, I hope not. Angelina doesn’t need any help picking out ugly red carpet dresses or shoes. Mccartney would be a step down, because at least Angelina picks stuff that is tailored pretty well….

  2. j.eyre says:

Oh… Timothy Dalton. Few things make me happier than Prince Barin.

    • booboolarue says:

      I concur Miss Eyre.

      • j.eyre says:

Okay – who would you rather:
Prince Barin, Philip II, Basil St. John or Neville Sinclair?
(Omitting James Bond and Rhett Butler because who doesn’t want Bond or Butler)

I know I should pick Mr. Rochester but I am going to have to go for Philip II on this one.

    • booboolarue says:

Argh! Too many delicious choices but have a soft spot for Basil St. John here.

  3. lunchcoma says:

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I hope Angelina sticks with her usual black uniform. Anything’s better than McCartney.

    • Kiddo says:

I like that Angelina does her own thing and isn’t a slave to stylists. She never looks ridiculous, although she is frequently very understated. Some people need stylists because their taste is terrible to begin with or because it garners them attention with cutting edge things. Angelina doesn’t need more of a spotlight than she already has.

      • lunchcoma says:

I both admire her for being understated and occasionally wish she’d do something understated in a different color. I get the desire to be simple, but sometimes she gets a bit too close to funeral.

That being said, she’s happy, healthy, and not wearing either Marchesa or McCartney, so she can keep on doing her.

      • blackjack says:

I think some people make a habit of reading too many scathing comments from other women. I don’t know who found the time, but someone literally compiled all of Angelina’s red carpet looks from like 2000. She’s worn color or a neutral (not black) about 70% of the time. In other words, we need to find something else, that’s actually true to harp on Angelina with. The skinny card has been revoked as she’s been the same size for a decade or more, and it’s boring us. Please think of something else.

    • Liberty says:

      voting with you, lunchcoma.

  4. Kim1 says:

    Lamey mentioning Goop Why?

    • lisa2 says:

because she is a high schooler in a woman’s body. Why not just report it. What does Goop have to do with anything. She does it all the time. Makes every story about Angie/Brad about their past.

      Grow up woman.

    • Peppa says:

Haha @ Lamey! I’m stealing that nickname for her, if you don’t mind.

  5. Kemper says:

So news has gotten so low that Kstew wearing a bra is reported on.

  6. booboolarue says:

Having just said goodbye to my first hospice patient yesterday (I’m a volunteer), the giraffe story made me smile and weep at the same time. Bless.

    • FLORC says:

      booboolarue
Hope you’re feeling ok about at least getting to say goodbye. And feeling good you could make someone’s last and many times hardest days a little better:)

That’s amazing you volunteer at a hospice!
You can’t see it, but i’m raising a glass (of seltzer) to you.

    • j.eyre says:

And I as well. The work hospice workers do is (insert your deity here) work and you deserve to have a glass lifted to you.

      {{HUGS}}

When I was doing my clinicals, I had gotten attached to a kindergarten teacher that was waiting for a liver… When she passed that was tough as you could see how and why she became a teacher. And she was obviously good at her job too…

      {{HUGS}}

PS: Have you read Final Gifts? It’s written by two hospice nurses and it’s a fantastic book — I’d very much recommend it. Always remember it take a special person to assist people in their final days.

    • booboolarue says:

Thank you kind gentlefolks for the supportive and kind words. It’s nice to finally know that after years of wandering, I do believe I have found my gift. I am not a saint by any definition, but I know what I know about myself. Am very good in times of crisis and hope to pursue hospice nursing when I finish my degree. I will order the book today LadySlippers! Bless.

      • Dimebox says:

My father died a year ago in Hospice. As difficult as it was to lose him, I was so grateful for the incredible care he received. That care was extended to our family also. We were surrounded with loving, gentle support. I am grateful for everyone there, from the knowledgeable staff to the volunteers who work in the lovely gardens and play the piano in the common area. Your work and presence will be a profound gift.

      • booboolarue says:

@Dimebox – I am sorry for your loss, it must feel so fresh to you. I watched my mom die two years ago and we did hospice at home and while I miss her sorely, I know that having that experience has made me grow up and show up. Trying to make lemonade here. Peace be with you.

      • Liberty says:

booboolarue… I am sorry for your sadness today, but I applaud your caring work. You are truly making a difference.

  7. Wilma says:

Why did Anne Wintour give Kim K. the cover of Vogue before Posh? I did not think I would care this much, but apparantly I do.

    • Oh my Lord, that’s what I was coming on to say…KimmyK got her cover. But I laugh, because Kanye had to be on it with her…she can’t upstage her own wedding like she did the last time, when she posed for PEOPLE by herself in her wedding dress.

      • idk says:

Vogue no longer holds any prestige, not after allowing Kim on the cover. I wonder how much begging Kanye had to do or what deal he made with Anna to get Kim on. I guess Kim can break up with Kanye now, she used him for what she wanted.

She is acting so shocked she’s on the cover. Please, she knew she’d be on the cover of the April issue, that’s probably why they changed their wedding date to May. It’s to get us all “excited”.
Also, I can’t stand the look on Kim’s face on that cover. “I told you b*tches I’d get the cover of vogue”. Ugh. It wasn’t earned Kim, it wasn’t earned. But I do like the behind the scenes vid with North in it…that was cute.

      • Peppa says:

I will agree idk. Vouge will lose prestige after this. The video about the cover over at Dlisted is pretty funny because Kim makes some really constipated looking model faces.

    • Badirene says:

Please tell me that this is an early April fools joke? Poor Posh, I don’t know why I care either but I am kind of offended on Beckhams behalf.

    • BendyWindy says:

I was on my way to say the SAME thing. I can’t believe Anna caved. She’s gone soft!

    • Deb says:

UGH…I had to Google it to believe it. I love how they put her in a dress that has lots of billowy fabric on the bottom half to cover that enormous ass of hers. Her face looks as jacked as ever. I guess the folks at Vogue can’t fix that.

    • dahlianoir says:

I’m pissed too, for no reason but it bothers me A LOT. Posh deserved it a million times !

    • Kiddo says:

Because it is on the fast track to irrelevancy in serious fashion? Who buys Vogue, these days?

      • word says:

I guess Anna believes the people who buy Vogue are also the ones who buy the Kardashian Kollection clothing. They all deserve each other.

      • Liberty says:

I can’t imagine being an advertiser paying the big bucks for an important front of book spread or season buy, and realizing you are in an issue with that wreckage on the cover. Someone in some office is not going to be happy with Wintour’s latest bad decision.

  8. TedTheodoreLogan says:

Not understanding the hatred for Stella McCartney. Some of her designs are good.

Here’s a couple samples of the kids Maleficent line.

    • Godwina says:

I’m with you (although re. her work in general…that kid’s line isn’t my thing).

  9. Dawn says:

Oh and hey everbody, Anna wrote a special letter saying why she put them on the cover and it made me sincerely want to puke. Hey Anna, that cute little baby was conceived while she was
married to a man not the father and was barely divorced at the time of the birth. I hope American
Vogue does NOT sell because these idiots do not deserve all the love that you Anna Wintour is giving. If they represent today’s culture may the world explode soon.

  10. Side-Eye says:

Is no one gonna talk about the Cash situation? Holy Jesus. .

  11. GiGi says:

OMG. You guys. Are you seeing this? Kanye AND Kim on the cover of Vogue. And I think it’s real, not just one of those mock ups, lol!

    http://www.vogue.com/magazine/article/kim-kardashian-kanye-west-cover/?mbid=april_facebook#1

    • word says:

It’s real alright. It’s so tacky she is wearing a wedding gown on the cover. I mean does she not remember the backlash from her previous wedding?

    • lucy2 says:

Good Lord. Anna should be ashamed. I hope people send their issues back, like they did when Vanity Fair put Paris Hilton on their cover.

      • homegrrrl says:

Tabloids took over when supermodels were replaced by the boring and emaciated. No one relates aesthetically to the young dumb and strung out. Even kims body is more relatable for women with fashion money to spend. And with a
recession, more women are on the cheap. So vogue.has to.garner the tabloid.market. There is no more vogue population; its an irrelevant bygone era.

    • Evi says:

Kim got what she wanted in the end. I’m wagering that Anna put her foot down and since she is buddies with Kanye, said that the cover would only go ahead if he was in the picture.

  13. MonicaQ says:

Don’t worry Idina Menzel, the person that printed up my marriage certificates spelled my name wrong and that was really hard to explain at the SS office.

  14. Adrien says:

Timothy Dalton is 70? Whoa! Whoa! Time to make “Beautician and the Beast”2.

  15. rambling says:

I guess I’m the only one here who likes McCarthy’s designs. I think she’s a good designer and have some of her well-tailored clothes.

  16. Evi says:

To this day, I have no idea how Stella became a designer. I’m guessing she got through on the family name.
Her clothes, shoes, accessories. Everything is hideous.
Angelina looks better in an oversize sweatshirt and black pants than a Stella design.

  17. Smurfette says:

Her designs are awful, I can’t understand why famous people wear her clothes. Anyone else notice the man-hands on her? They look quite odd, like they don’t really belong to her.
