@mimif, I signed you up for James Franco’s writing course! He can teach you to be Salinger, just like himself.

that final picture! “must get to my tree, these nuts are killing my cheeks. winter can’t come soon enough.”

    • I Choose Me says:

      Hahahahahaha.

On topic: Hardy is a terrific actor and I can’t wait to see what he does with these dual roles. Oh and yeah, def prosthetic. I mentioned how different he looked to me on yesterday’s post.

  3. Beth says:

Rather stupid, cause the last two pictures are pictures of Tom’s stunt-double… Having said that; i’m stoked for this movie. Tom can totally pull this of. He was great in The Take!

    • kri says:

The Take was where I first saw him. Oh, man! He killed me (and a lot of other people) with that performance. Amazing. Bring it on, I need a Hardy Batch.

  4. TheOriginalKitten says:

The second pic is NOT Tom Hardy. My husband doesn’t have dimples and that is not my husband’s sumptuous mouth.

..and yes I still would, even in Kray costume.

  5. Alan says:

Tom is a LEGEND himself. My man-crush!

  6. Brigitte says:

Looooove this actor so i need to see this movie 😀

  7. Dotty says:

Isn’t he a little short to be playing a Kray brother?

    • Tiffany says:

The brothers well extremely tall to go along with being extremely scary. How it will play out on film, we shall see.

  8. Jen says:

Those 2 bottom photos are his double, Jacob.
    come on, people!

  9. GiGi says:

Aaaahhh!!! I’m not into Tom Hardy, but I love the story of the Krays – so insane.

Who here remembers the movie “The Krays” starring Spandau Ballet? I loved that movie, lol!

  10. Illyra says:

For some reason I’ve always found Pitbull to be quite sexy. No idea why.

  11. Marty says:

Yeah, the last two pics are his double for when the twins are in the same scene.

    • I Choose Me says:

Ah. That makes sense to me now. I’m guessing those pics that I thought were of him in an earlier post were of his stunt double as well.

      • Marty says:

I think so, there’s a pic floating around of him and his double standing together. I think it probably helps having a double to cut down on shoot time, plus practicality.

Why is the US even vying for ( or offered by FIFA) the World Cup hosting? No one cares about football Stateside unless it’s the other Football.

    • Kiddo says:

      Money. It’s usually the answer.

      • Tiffany :) says:

Which makes no sense, because the host country typically spends tons of money on hosting, but then all of the profits go to FIFA, not the host country.

Hosting is so not worth it for all of the expense.

      • Kiddo says:

That’s interesting Tiffany, but what corporations will make serious coin through it?
Travel/airlines, hotels, food, etc. When you say the host country spends the money, is it through taxes or is it through company/companies footing the bill? I have no idea. I’m not a sports follower of any kind.

    • Aysla says:

I sincerely hope the rumors have a whiff of merit to them, as Qatar is wholly undeserving of hosting 2022 (look at how they treat their migrant laborers. I’ve read articles that estimate 4,000 migrant workers, from India and Nepal primarily, will die building the infrastructures for the World Cup).

I think there is definitely interest and support in the U.S. for soccer… but on the international level, and not necessarily for our national team… as I believe the interest comes more from immigrants and minorities (I include myself in that category). I don’t care about the MLS because U.S. soccer is shitty and boring, but I watch the Copa Americas and the Champions League. Although soccer isn’t as popular here, hosting the World Cup would raise the profile of the hosting country in a favorable way and increase tourism. Do we need that? Ehhhh, I don’t know. Sure.

Also, the hosting country doesn’t really profit from the World Cup. FIFA makes all the money, the hosting country picks up the tab.

    • Kay says:

46 percent of the world watches the World Cup. Not to mention the amount of people that would travel to the us to watch a game. And yes it’s true it’s not as popular as football to say no one watches it is grossly untrue. Here in Seattle the sounders average over 40,000 a game. And considering the games run weekly from march til November, that is a huge money maker. When the men’s national team played in Seattle it was their largest USA crowd ever.
