Jake Gyllenhaal is creepy! He’s not going to age well you can tell already!

  2. Kiddo says:

Where are the photos of the sexist IBM execs? I followed the link and thought she was going to take a photo to send to HR. I didn’t see it at her twitter account. Did I simply miss it?

    • M.A.F. says:

When I clicked on the link, all I saw was a bunch of grey lines where I think the Tweets are suppose to be.

    • Macey says:

I dont see it either but I read the article on the DM yesterday, here’s the link to it..

      http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2703035/Coder-livetweets-sexist-remarks-allegedly-IBM-executives.html

I dont think she got the response she was hoping for, at least not in the DM comments. I dont know if everything she said is true but anyone that has a business to run can understand why the IBM execs were saying what they were (maybe they did not say it in the best possible way but that doesnt mean it’s not true. Not sure what she was trying to prove with that.

      • Kiddo says:

That’s a ridiculous assumption that every young woman is going to want to get pregnant and then keep getting pregnant.

      • LT says:

That is absurd. I have been a senior level executive in two businesses and I assure you that our policies – both our official policies and our unofficial policies – are completely opposite from what the IBM execs were saying. On the contrary, over the past 20+ years, I have seen both firms expand paternity and maternity leave and create other programs to support younger women AND men who want to grow their families and their careers.

      • Tiffany :) says:

It is sad that people act as if women with children will act differently than men with children. Perhaps they do, but perhaps that is also a result of societal expectations of child rearing.

One of my co-workers was out 60 days last year because of kids being sick/ babysitter canceling / etc. and he is a man (far over his vacation and sick time). He was also said that he didn’t want to hire a woman with kids because “there can’t be two of us” that have kids needs to deal with.

I was so pissed when he said that…and have yet to find an appropriate way to vent my rage.

      • Tiffany :) says:

“That’s a ridiculous assumption that every young woman is going to want to get pregnant and then keep getting pregnant. ”

I agree. I am a person who knew in my early 20s that I never wanted to have kids. Just because a person is a woman doesn’t mean that she wants to have kids or will ever have kids.

      • T.C. says:

It’s unfair. All those men that IBM hires can do the long hours and not take time off because their wives are making the sacrifice to take time off work when the kids are sick and to bear their pregnancies. So if men were the ones who get pregnant IBM wouldn’t want to hire them?

  3. Brin says:

That Queen photobomb was awesome….she was smiling too!!

  4. Hautie says:

I love how Ted Cruz is allllll insulted about True Blood. Bush is not a fan of Cruz. So if anyone needs to be insulted. It is Bush. 🙂

First of all… which the writers completely missed… is that Pres. George W. Bush would never let his/Cruz dumb ass in his Presidential library willingly. That is unless Cruz paid the full admission price at the door.

  5. Norman Bates' Mother says:

Dakota Fanning didn’t say she wasn’t comfortable. The opposite actually – to quote the article: “I wasn’t very uncomfortable with it – said Dakota”. But I am very uncomfortable with the idea of Naomi Foner (mother Gyllenhaal) directing a scene of her 43-year old son-in-law, Peter Sarsgaard, having sex with a teenager. Or anyone. It just seems odd and inappropriate. I don’t consider myself prudish but I think parents and children shouldn’t think about, imagine or discuss each other’s sex-lives. And this situation must have looked like: “Peter, take off her clothes. Put your hands on her breasts. Peter, harder and faster but not so loud, please. Gosh – does he do that to my daughter?!”

    • FLORC says:

Right. I read the article twice thinking I missed something. She approaches it in a very mature way.

    • Mmhmm says:

I was about to say that. I like that article of her; I think she’s grown up in the spotlight in a good way. Some people say she’s lost her stardom, but isn’t it good that she’s not famous for drug-whoring? Lol

  6. mia girl says:

That Masterbation Cross thing can not be real. It just can’t be. It’s got to be a joke.

If it is real, then WTF other humans who would invent/buy this? Who are you people?

    • doofus says:

      I was hoping so, too.

I couldn’t bring myself to go to the website listed in the ad to check.

but if it’s real…man, some people have ISSUES. “self-raping”? it’s gotta be an Onion spoof.

PLEASE let it be on Onion spoof!

    • FLORC says:

The term “self-raping” used in that context really sickens me.

It’s a sad world we live in where i’m not shocked if this is a real thing.

    • doofus says:

OK, I had to google it.

      it’s a hoax, thank goodness.

      • Nicolette says:

Glad it’s just a hoax but in this crazy world that’s getting nuttier by the day, you never know what to expect anymore.

      • FLORC says:

But it could be a thing now.
This reminds me of the mommy dearest bed straps used on the boy to keep him from sleepwalking(?).
Maybe it’s pessimistic of me, but just as “Don’t ask, Don’t tell” wasn’t meant to be a literal policy it was.

      • doofus says:

        Nicolette, amen.

the fact that we were all NOT SURE if it was a hoax says it all.

(or maybe it just means we’re all gullible? lol)

    • mia girl says:

Doofus – I couldn’t bring myself to click on the link either. So thank you for mustering up the courage.

And thank you for restoring my faith in humanity.

That said, agreeing with you and FLORC on the term “self-raping”. Maybe I’m just being ultra-sensitive today, but even as a joke the whole thing is just… ick.

    • Trashaddict says:

Looked up “Tina’s Law”, anti-masturbation law supposedly passed in South Dakota. No reference to it other than this website. The kid is shown in a papoose that’s normally used when you have to suture or draw blood on a kid, to hold them still so nobody gets hurt. Looks kinda barbaric I know but you don’t want a flailing child when you have to start an IV.

  7. Happy21 says:

Both movies mentioned – Nightcrawlers and Dear White People look GREAT! Can’t wait for some really good movies to come out because I’m going through movie withdrawal. There hasn’t been much I’ve wanted to see as of late.

  8. FLORC says:

Kaiser. Maybe nitpicking here, but that’s not a motorcycle. It looks like a spyder. A reverse motorized tricycle. Pros, you’re not going to tip over. Cons, you’re driving a spyder and high speed turns create a roll risk from not leaning into the turn.
You don’t even need to take a class for the license to drive those.

  9. Sumodo1 says:

Rene Russo is in “Nightcrawler.” Ok, except for it looks like Madame Tussaud did her face and hair. (*smh*)

  10. I Choose Me says:

    So stoked for this movie!

    • Camille (The Original) says:

It looks good and I like Jake as an actor, this could get him an Oscar nom (coupled with his weight loss, we all know how the Academy loves that..).

  11. eliza says:

Nice to see Renee Russo in something again. I always liked her.

  12. Chris says:

Hopefully it’ll be better than Enemy. I tried to watch it the other day and couldn’t get through it. Just watched the trailer for Dear White People on youtube. It was no surprise to see that a shit storm erupted in the comments section.

  13. d says:

Movie looks intense. Didn’t think “There’s Jake G” more like: “Who.the.eff.is.THAT.guy?” (I know it’s Jake G, but still). I’ll probably watch. Glad to see he’s doing interesting roles instead of the movie star nonsense.

I can’t help it. I like the Queen. I think she’s awesome and would love to meet her.

  14. Jarredsgirl says:

OMG. I love jake gyllenhaal! Ever since I watched him in that movie with hugh jackman, i think it was called Prisoner, or something. I think he’s a great actor. He plays creepy dudes VERY WELL. Definitely going to watch this movie! YOU HAVE TO MAKE THE MONEY TO BUY A TICKET!

  15. Moi says:

That Queen of England photobomb is beyond amazing. 😅

  16. Lauraq says:

Dakota doesn’t say she wasn’t comfortable with the sex scene. She says she WAS comfortable with it….???
