Ever since Lindsay Lohan showed up in Ischia, Italy to gather up her “Comeback Award” at the film festival, she’s been partying on the Italian coast. She’s been photographed in yachts, hanging out with shady people and generally looking cracked out, as usual. Then this weekend, the Cracken headed out to Linz, Austria. I’m assuming this was a paying gig, although you never really know with Lohan. First she did a public meet & greet at the Weißes Fest 2014 party at PlusCity mall, then she did an appearance, later that same day, at the same PlusCity mall. Yes, Lindsay Lohan is doing mall appearances now. I don’t know how it is in Europe, but mall appearances for an American means that you’re broke and you will literally take any gig. And guess what? That’s apparently where Lohan is right now:
Lindsay Lohan is said to be running low on funds during her stay in London. The 28-year-old star has become an honorary Brit following her relocation to London, where she is set to appear in the West End production of Speed-The-Plow in September. Since arriving in the capital Lindsay has made her presence known, choosing the exclusive Chiltern Firehouse as her regular hotspot.
But it seems things aren’t as fun as they look on the surface, with reports that the actress is struggling with money.
“She’s worried about her lack of funds, but she relies on her close group of friends to keep her lifestyle going,” a source told British magazine Closer. “She often gets her publicist to call clubs to blag her a free table but as time goes on, fewer and fewer clubs are willing to do it. She’s also pals with Topshop heiress Chloe Green and calls on her for freebie clothes.”
It was only last year Lindsay had a court-ordered stint in rehab, and she has since opened up about her troubles on her reality show for Oprah Winfrey’s OWN channel. Despite having reportedly made drastic changes to her life after staying in the facility, those close to the star are said to be worried about her again.
“Lindsay’s inner circle know she’s been partying too much. She’s staying in an apartment in Mayfair, a stone’s throw away from celeb haunt Chiltern Firehouse and often goes out there. Her close friends fear she’s falling back into bad habits and keep telling her she’s alienating both directors and producers with her behaviour,” the source added.
Enough with the “friends are so worried about her, she might be partying again!” STAHP. None of her friends are worried. All of her “friends” are fellow drug-abusers and enablers and there is no “might” or “again” in this situation. She never stopped partying. She never stopped drinking and doing drugs. But here’s what really has me irritated: Oprah ended up paying Lindsay something like $1.5 million for that OWN show (it was something like that) and Lindsay blew threw it (literally) in less than a year. I can’t even imagine what it’s like to be that horrible at money management. She blows through my yearly income in less than a month.
Oh, and the UK papers have a story about some crazy dude stalking Lindsay at the Chiltern Firehouse. It’s probably true, but Lindsay hasn’t even been in London the past few weeks, so the guy has hopefully moved on. Also: isn’t it funny that Lindsay is partying all over Europe when she’s supposed to be in rehearsals for Speed the Plow? Ha.

She is never been sober except when she was in rehab but that was court ordered.The bruising comes from alcohol being a blood thinner and it also can be caused from platelet levels being off because of some alcohol or drug abuse.Also I think she gets slapped around by her dates.Lindsay is a mess and just doesn’t want to change.She left here because we saw how she really was on her show.I call you out Lindsay.I am also a addict .You know them when you see them.

Nibbi in her case it’s because of her addictions.I know pale and fair people bruise very easily but we see her falling and under tables all the time.She just fell down last week.

By this point, producers would have said who will play the two male parts, just to sell tickets. There are three roles in this play – the two male leads are MUCH bigger parts. The last time this play was produced in London, it had KEVIN SPACEY and JEFF GOLDBLUM as the leads. Could it POSSIBLY be that no decent actor in their right mind would dare to join this production?

When drugs are involved you would be surprised how pathetic people become. To be fair, I don’t think LL has hit rock bottom yet. Unfortunately, rock bottom for her may be death.
I hate blaming parents of drug users b/c really you cannot stop an addict from destroying his or herself but you can stop enabling them, which, “Dina worst mother of the decade” has not done.
Her parents are not the only enablers in her life. So it is not fair to put all the blame on her parents. Yes, they are enablers, not denying that, but she is not around her parents right now and I don’t see anyone stepping up when it comes to not enabling her.
Of course not but the other enablers are not her parents. Very different for a Producer/Friend/John whatever to enable her than for her parents to enable her. Until Dina & Michael stop making excuses and financially depending on Lindsay nothing will change.
Her parents were the worst, pushing her into that cesspool of an industry, using her as a little cash cow while they both went bananas with drugs and alcohol and big surprise, she has the same substance abuse problems they do. She never had a chance, I won’t defend her horrible behavior and choices but I can’t help but feel bad for any kid with parents like hers, they did nothing to help her grow up and become a functioning adult.
At this point I think the drugs/booze serve to numb her from this sad reality as much as anything.
Agreed Jem. Plus the drugs/booze are her normal. She does not know any other way to live. That’s why 30 days in rehab won’t cut it. She needs time to reprogram her way of thinking and create a new normal. Its not easy.
@ Nick : yes, 30 days isn’t going to do it for a hardcore addict like her. Mackenzie Phillips was an addict for years when she finally got clean at a treatment program that lasted 12 months (residential). Someone like LiLo is just going to countdown the 30 days on the calendar and then go back to her “normal” addict life without missing a step. The “28 day” programs are just a start to getting clean and won’t work if the addict goes right back to where they were before treatment.
I think you are right that this may be the year she dies. Tragic but predictable.

It is more logical to assume that she is not sober at any given time than to assume that she is sober at any given time, based on her history. Bess: 1) Royalties from film, music, tv and modeling gigs she has participated since being a child star. If her likeness is still being shown in any format, including new media, her management can negotiate an earning for her repeated showings/use. 2) Her troubles with the IRS was less to do with tax evasion or bankruptcy, and more of a matter of financial mismanagement by those she trust with her income i.e auditor. She’s hardly in Stephen Baldwin or MC Hammer territory, publicly liquidating her assets to avoid default. From I recall from TMZ’s Mike Heller, her assets were frozen for brief time before the tax linen was cleared up or paid up by her business mismanagement team. If she was “shady” about her income, an independent auditor would looking into her earnings via employment or Royalties.
Her residuals are tied up by her previous manager Lou, for the next 2 decades. Blohan herself admitted this in one of her many court cases when the subject of paying Holly came up. (who is also getting residuals as payments)

She always looks so much better after every forced rehab stay, but then it’s straight back to looking the The Cracken again in few weeks.

Many photos of sketchy behavior, and numerous reports of unprofessionalism and unhealthy antics, certainly demonstrate to me and to others that Lindsay continues to be far from being a “healthy” person (physically and mentally).

If the mall is one owned by the old guy in Vienna who hired Kim Kardashian for the last ball, Lindsay may be paying off her debt. He hired her a few years ago and foolishly paid her in advance. She was so busy shopping at the airport that she missed her plane. They would have held it for her if she paid $20,000 but she didn’t have the money or the credit. I think it was for about half what Kim went for, though. The deal is not only to escort him to the ball but also to make appearances at his mall or malls. His lawyers may have finally gotten around to threatening to sue her for return of the money.
It’s also a great excuse to not “rehearse” for her sure-to-be-Tony-winning play.
