Us Weekly: Gwyneth Paltrow is officially ‘dating’ her jumpoff Brad Falchuk

wenn20295040

Last week’s Star Mag ran an excellent exposé on Gwyneth Paltrow’s torrid affair with a then-married Glee producer named Brad Falchuk. I’m trying to make it sound controversial, because seriously, if this was Angelina Jolie, thousands of women would have burned her in effigy by now. The rumor mill suggests (heavily suggests) that then-married Gwyneth had an on-and-off affair with then-married Brad Falchuk and that his wife found out about it and they split up. Gwyneth, as we know, consciously uncoupled from Chris Martin around the same time. Star reported that Gwyneth and Falchuk recently had a romantic getaway at a Utah resort and now it’s looking more and more like Gwyneth is making Falchuk her official jump-off.

Here’s to another McKinley High romance! Gwyneth Paltrow has officially moved on since announcing her split from husband Chris Martin back in March. Insiders reveal exclusively to Us Weekly that the Oscar winner is now dating Glee co-creator Brad Falchuk.

Paltrow, 41, has appeared on five episodes of the FOX comedy as Holly Holliday since 2010, but a Glee source tells Us “things started off professionally” between the pair. That relationship evolved, however, and Paltrow recently stepped out with the 43-year-old executive producer for a dinner date at East Borough in L.A.

“It was flirty,” an eyewitness tells Us of the two-hour meal. They next jetted off for a romantic getaway in Utah during the weekend of July 25.

Paltrow and Martin, 37, announced their “conscious uncoupling” after more than 10 years of marriage four months ago in a joint statement. The parents of daughter Apple, 10, and son Moses, 8, have remained amicable and have been spotted out together since the news. Late last month, the Coldplay frontman said in a handful of interviews that the two are still “friends” and “very close.”

Paltrow’s new beau, meanwhile, also recently got out of a marriage. Falchuk’s wife of 10 years, Suzanne, filed for divorce in March 2013. The exes share a daughter and son. For more on Paltrow and Falchuk’s new romance — and whether he’s met Apple and Moses yet — pick up the new issue of Us Weekly.

[From Us Weekly]

It’s nice of Us Weekly to do some of the clean-up on behalf of Gwyneth. “Things started off professionally…” Sure. But when did professionalism get pushed aside for unbridled boning? Ten bucks says it was when both Falchuk and Goop were very much married to other people. Am I the only one who wants to hear from Falchuk’s (peasant) ex-wife?

He reminds me of Kim K’s best friend. Jonathan something?

    • JennySerenity says:

      Jonathon Cheban.

But, for real- THIS is the dude partially responsible for the conscious uncoupling?? Although, he’s a good deal better looking than Chris Martin. It sounds like GOOPY homewrecked this marriage though, which will make me like her even less.

I wasn’t a fan of Brad’s teeny tiny Albee Baby sweater in the last post about him, either.

      • Shazz says:

Probably he was, but G did NOT homewreck! She may have helped him consciously uncouple though. Cough.

      • lunchcoma says:

I suspect there was some cheating, but the only marriage Goop homewrecked was her own. Brad is responsible for any actions he took that might have led to his divorce.

      • sania says:

They were both married, but only Gwyneth is homewrecker… ? Please explain if in the USA is there a word for male homewrecker. You need a word, because sometimes someone breaks up marriages, but is not a woman especially is a big country, there must be at least 100 bad men.

    • Dani2 says:

I think he’s a tad better looking but that’s who he reminds me of, yup.

    • ray says:

hahaha +1! I knew he reminded me of someone but I just couldn’t put my finger on it.

    • AM says:

Ugh, I kept thinking Bachelor Ben, but Cheban is on the nose.

    • Tipsy says:

      Conscious copulating….

  2. Lady Macbeth (Hiddles F.) says:

Ugh. Not him per se, him dating her. Oh well.

  3. Abbott says:

He looks like that dude Kim Kardashian drags around to tell her she’s pretty and makes sure North doesn’t make a run for it. Cheban.

  4. Enzo says:

I like her a lot. If she was affair-free you would say she’s bland, boring or cold

    • MCraw says:

Um, no. Lmao. Everyone hates Gwyneth, whether or not she’s having affairs. Probably *because* she’s bland and boring, but thinks she’s better? Idk. She makes me laugh, so I don’t have a dog in this fight 🙂

      • LeAnn Stinks says:

Paltrow is just as popular, and well liked, as LeAnn Rimes.

      • Zwella Ingrid says:

I like Leann better than Goop

      • V4Real says:

Um, no she’s not well liked. Not just trashy yet so entertaining Mags like Star says she’s not well liked but also entertainment shows and news outlets have talked about how disliked Gwyn is.

Now what people do like about her is all the ammunition she gives them to continue to talk about her. As for LeAnn, she’s so well liked that her reality show is dropping in ratings

      • LeAnn Stinks says:

Wow Zwella, that’s a scary thought-LOL! I think they are equally despicable.

    • Jen says:

She can have all the affairs she wants (and probably DOES). She’s boring and bland and totally off-putting no matter who she shares her goopy with (EEEW – grossed myself out).

  5. JH says:

    With him? Huh.

  6. QQ says:

So basically the two they were porking on the side are the bonafides now?! Is that how it works?

    • Abbott says:

I think Alexa is with a new musician. It’s sounding like she didn’t wait around for Martin while he figured out what to do with his marriage.

    • Jen2 says:

But, didn’t she cheat on Pitt with Affleck then go on to date him? Seems like her pattern. But she will never be called “home wrecker squared”, with her famous publicist, she will come out of this looking like the victim who did what she had to do for her sanity.

      • V4Real says:

No matter how they try to spin it she is a home wrecker and a cheat. And it does seems like a pattern. This makes me think back to a few years ago when a brief rumor started about her and RDJ having an affair when they were spotted leaving a coffee shop in The Hamptons. Even I wouldn’t believe that one but you never know.

  7. Lucy2 says:

I’m surprised, I thought she’d go Miranda Kerr style and go after billionaires only.
Sad for the ex-wife and all the kids involved here.

    • lunchcoma says:

I guess it doesn’t surprise me much. All of the guys Goopy was alleged to have cheated with were roughly her age and fairly good-looking, and there aren’t a lot of billionaires of that description who’d be interested. A producer seems like a good choice for her – sufficiently famous to be non-embarrassing, able to help her career, but not too much of a tabloid magnet like an actor would be.

  8. BangersandMash says:

this is a move on Goop’s part!! Why confirm that she’s seeing Brad K?? Why not keep it under wraps as long as possible??

I think because Chris Martin has already got someone, and if he publicly moved on before Goop does, she’d be ‘Jennifer Aniston’d.

    • Aura says:

      Who is Chris Martin seeing?

    • Abbott says:

Maybe she needs to be Aniston’d? She could definitely use some public sympathy and Aniston has milked the victim thing for a decade now.

      • lisa says:

i think she would love it now that you mention it

      • Esmerelda says:

No, please, no ‘Aninston-ing’… the only reason* I still kind of like Gwyn, despite all the goopy bs, is her ‘go-get-’em’ attitude… – not saying that GP is feminist icon, but at least she does not play the poor-girl-waiting-for-a-man card in the press…

*ok, that and Sliding Doors, so two reasons, really. How’s John Hannah doing nowadays, btw?

  9. Rhiley says:

That sun dress Goop is wearing is very unflattering, not to mention that the print looks very similar to one I saw at Walmart the other night.

    • mystified says:

Thinking the same thing, and the only reason I’m being critical is that she’s marketing an exercise program for getting in shape. Two hours a day and a lot of money for a thick waist, scrawny arms and bad posture? No thank you. For extra snark: her skin looks really bad in the first picture.

  10. Toot says:

This is like the Leann Eddie situation except Gwyneth has kids too. Gwyneth won’t get anything like Leann because there’s no picture proof and her PR guy won’t let it get there.

  11. Size Does Matter says:

I’m kind of surprised he’s older than she is. He looks young. Have there been pics of them together?

  12. dirtsa says:

I totally believe now that she is pregnant

  13. als says:

I wonder if this is the story that Graydon Carter initially considered running about Gwyneth. Does the timeline fit?
If it does, then Star Mag has bigger balls than Vanity Fair. .
And that guy has the same expression like Chris Martin, same big, dreamy, unstable eyes.

    • Ag says:

i wouldn’t be surprised if Star Mag had bigger balls. they have fewer (if any?) bridges to burn than Vanity Fair. “honey badger don’t give a f*ck.”

    • Calcifer says:

@ als ‘And that guy has the same expression like Chris Martin, same big, dreamy, unstable eyes.’
You are so right! I love your choice of words too, ‘dreamy unstable eyes’ Hahaha! By the way I think he also resembles another Gwyneth ex, Donovan Leitch… Also an owner of big dreamy eyes, though maybe a bit more stable.
And I think it is very well possible that the Gwyn-Brad hookup could have been part of the Vanity Fair bomb that was defused by Gwyneth. Maybe the VF story more specifically would have mentioned the fact that Gwyn and Chris were experimenting with an open marriage in the past few years. By the way, I now remember that when Gwyneth was first appearing on Glee, she also went through a phase of extreme ‘try hard’, cooking dinner for 60 guests, singing at the Oscars, and being extremely thin. With hindsight maybe she was showing of for Brad F. at the time?

      • als says:

@Calcifer – I didn’t know who Donovan Leitch was but I googled him and you’re right, he fits the pattern! I noticed men picking similar women, but this is the first time that I see the reverse happening.
@Ag – I get that reasoning but in the war for power I think magazines like Vanity Fair can win, therefore sometimes it wouldn’t hurt them to play ball. During Vanity Fair’s existence there have been many Gwyneth Paltrows and God knows, there are still more like her coming our way.
One Gwyneth Paltrow cannot bring the apocalypse. I still think Graydon made a weird call.

      • Ag says:

@als – i agree, it was a weird call. i wonder what caused it.

  14. Ag says:

    how gauche.

  15. annaloo. says:

Whatever. At the end of the day we were smoke screened to justify and airy-fairy infidelity in marriage. Low.

    • poppy says:

she’s a cheater in every sense of the word.
at the time that conniving beast used matthew morrison as a smoke screen, didn’t she?q
now it makes sense how she got and took a part on glee.

  16. mkyarwood says:

He looks like Chris. And that dude from Royal Pains. And who cares anyway? Her overlap serial monogamy is pretty well known at this point, and she’s not the only one who entered into the relationship with an other already in the picture.

  17. Sumodo1 says:

I think Brad Falchuck reminds Goop of her father.

    • AM says:

I had that thought too, when people talked about him not being…enough to be her jump off. He has a similar career to her father and I bet he admires that. Now I’ll just be waiting over here in my corner for the Duets sequel.

    • HappyMom says:

I absolutely agree. Jewish tv exec from the East Coast. And we will never hear from the ex-wife. She’s a successful tv exec herself and they have 2 kids.-no way she’ll talk.

      • Sumodo1 says:

Brad’s mother is also a big deal, and so is Goop’s mom. Seems like Falchuck is the man for the job.

  18. Maria says:

    “things started off professionally”

i had a good laugh about this. i really didnt care enough to ever develop an opinion if they both cheated on their partners and children, but that sentence now confirms everything.
do publicists really think that that still works? you always think they are those amazing magicians that can use their magic to make rumours and facts disappear. this is first grade public relations, Gwyneth should spent her money more wisely on professionals.

    • melain says:

Things started off professionally, and then goopy took off her bra and dropped to knees because she is so classy.

  19. rococo says:

Vanity Fair must be kicking themselves – tough titty – you had the scoop and chickened out!

  20. MoxyLady007 says:

    How very Leann and Eddie.

    – side note- Leann, that is not a compliment. That is the most insulting thing I could think of in this situation. Stop smiling. It’s not a compliment! It’s meant to burn Goop. Stop smiling! Ugh. You know what? Go call her. Reach out to her. I would love to see the bloodbath that would result. Unchecked borderline personality z lister with a death grip on a waspy tragically A list. Fantastic gossip.

  21. PreciousRobicheaux says:

    Brad, run. Just run.

  22. Jaded says:

I love how these celebrities try to sanctify what is essentially immoral and sleazy behaviour with meaningless expressions like “conscious uncoupling”. What you did was mess around on each other (and in Goop’s case break up a marriage), try to put a positive spin on it for the media like you’re such selfless, kind and caring people, then immediately jump off with the people you were shagging during your so-called marriage.

*Shakes head in disgust and goes for another cup of coffee*

    • Virgilia Coriolanus says:

That’s why I don’t really feel bad for her. She’s so bland and boring, I can’t even work up a shrug. I think that she and Chris got together quickly, while she was feeling hurt and vulnerable–and when the honeymoon period ended (probably a year or so after her first kid was born), that’s when they both started messing around. I think that they had an okay time together, had some fun times, but the kids were really the glue–not THEIR relationship. So when they wanted to be with other people more than each other, then it wasn’t all that hard to cut the cords. My opinion, anyway.

  23. Kelly says:

Can’t people wait until they are divorced?

And not to b catty, but I am, that dress does nothing for her. Is there a waist anywhere there?

  24. HappyMom says:

I’m wondering if this why she also moved her family to LA-to be closer to her lover . . .

  25. Jayna says:

He’s good-looking. What does he see in her? He’s successful. There’s tons of hotter women than Gwyneth and probably not as self-absorbed and as pretentious.

    • lunchcoma says:

We don’t really know what he’s like. It’s entirely possible he’s as insufferable as she is.

  26. Mrs McCubbins says:

Maybe she’s his jump off. These type of relationships never work out. I dont believe you can go directly from one relationship into another and have it last. Your baggage from the previous relationship comes with you and catches up sooner or later.

  27. Joh says:

“A romantic get-a-way in Utah” made me giggle

  28. LoisLane says:

Am I the only one who is weirded out by the fact that this guy name is Brad? As in a another Brad? Now it’s -Gwyn and Brad – all over again. Really weird out here…

    • Virgilia Coriolanus says:

Haha, don’t give the tabloids any ideas. We’ll have another ‘Hotter, Better ‘Brad” Cover AGAIN. NO.

    • lunchcoma says:

I’ll give her a pass on that one given how common of a name Brad is for men in her rough age range. I’ve dated three Nates and two Bens.

  29. Miss M says:

I guess she is the type of wen who goes after committed men. I guess she is also a serial cheater. What a disappointment!

    • Virgilia Coriolanus says:

At this point, I don’t even think it matters to her career WHAT she does. I mean, girlfriend could be caught Mini-Coopering (although I suppose a Mini-Cooper is gauche to her, so maybe a Ferrari or something) Falchuk with her wedding rings and certificate taped to the freaking window, and I don’t think it would affect her career one way or the other. It doesn’t matter what she does, she’s going to be met with a few shocked gasps, and a collective, dismissive shrug.

  30. serena says:

I believe this. Both Gwyneth and Chris cheated, who did it first I think it’s not important now. But surely, she was shading him though reps and ‘friends’ so.. I hope the press gives it to her too.

Oh and Brad Falchuk is really handsome.

  31. HoustonGrl says:

Saying their relationship started out “professional” is like saying “oh, we didn’t start out with f*ckfest 2014, but then it just sort of happened.” Take some responsibility! And now we’re supposed to feel sorry for her because Chris Martin moved on to JLAW?! These people live in a crystal bubble.
