Twilight’s Kristen Stewart gives another drippy interview

90119X8

Actress Kristen Stewart, who tanked personality-wise during a recent appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman, gave a profanity-laced, whiny interview to Nylon magazine. The young actress, who plays Bella in the smash “Twilight” franchise, complains at length about the rumors that she is more than friends with her co-star, heartthrob Rob Pattinson. She also hates promoting the films and calls the PR tour she did for the first movie a “f$%&ing psychotic situation.” Basically, she hates everything about being a movie star. She’s like a younger, female Sean Penn, without the right hook.

On the Twilight Madness: “Anywhere we’d go for Twilight was a psychotic situation. The sound was deafening, and it’s thoughtless, as well… You get a slew of all these bullshit questions like, ‘What’s it like to kiss a vampire?’ and ‘How much do you love Robert?’ Then you’ll get one that’s actually real, but you’re like, ‘No, I can’t right now, I can’t even consider [it].”

On her memorable David Letterman appearance: “I feel like I have nothing to say on those shows… I’m not good at the funny thing—most people are really great on those shows. I don’t have a contrived personality that [I can] just pump out [for] a five-minute segment, so I end up sitting there and looking kind of baffled. Embarassing.”

And no, she’s not dating Robert Pattinson. “It’s just totally false… Rob and I are good friends. We went through a lot together, so we feel very close. But if we go out in public, every little detail is scrutinized, like the way I stand next to him. And it’s like, I know this guy really f’ing well [laughs]. It’s only natural that we’re sort of leaning on each other, because we’re put in the most f’ing psychotic situations.”

On who she’s actually dating: “He’s older than me—he’s 20 now—but when you’re 13 and he’s turning 16, it was always sort of an out-of-reach thing. Then you get a little older, and you realize, ‘Oh, What the f*@& am I thinking? I can have you, like, lickity…’” she snaps her fingers, laughing. “He’s awesome.”

I should add that the accompanying photo spread with the article features a messy-haired Stewart striking various hipster/angst poses. Barf! I’m not taking anything away from this girl’s talent, but her attitude really sucks. I’m sure the pressure of sudden fame has its downside, but if it’s so horrible, quit bitching about it and get out of the business. Go to college, go flip burgers somewhere – I don’t care. Just shut up about how hard your life is, princess. This is Hollywood! There are probably a hundred actresses equally as talented who would kill to replace her in those movies, and would have the common sense to at least appear grateful about it in public. I guess I can understand the whole “normal girl” appeal of Stewart, but she’s trying way too hard. She comes off as vacant, ungrateful and really annoying.

Um, no, you have no personality or charm whatsoever so you find it difficult if not impossible to keep up any kind of banter, much less be interesting.

She’s the human equivalent of a mildewy dishrag.

  2. Enonymous says:

I don’t know if Kristen Stewart is attractive or not, she has a weird look which could be cool if her attitude did not suck so much. She seems desperate to be seen as a ‘serious’ actress but all this whining might alienate her from movie producers and directors. Don’t bite the hand that feeds you girl. For 12 million a movie, I am sure you can suck it up and pretend to enjoy it.

  3. Pistol Of Fire says:

I quite like Kristen. She seems real, however much we all hate to admit it but we all do love a moan once and a while, some of us choose to do it at home in our diaries, other out in public.
I think the thing that makes me like her is the fact that she tells the truth, she blatantly said, “I don’t have a contrived personality” so she knows it and she doesn’t try it to defend it like most other stars by saying “I have a different personality than other people. It’s unique.” Which I admire and think is great.
Why should she put on a big smiley face and act all false just to make people happy? She shouldn’t and she knows it which is a really good thing.
And another thing I like about her is that she is smart, and she doesn’t try to dumb herself down either which is very commendable for someone of her age, who will be pushed into a lot of things especially in Hollywood!

  4. Eileen Yover says:

Every movie I’ve ever seen her in is the same role and she’s provides a dull performance. I read the Twilight series and think most of the movie was casted wayyyy off-her being the worst.

  5. Pistol Of Fire says:

I read the books too and absolutely loved them, but I think she did do a good job embodying Bella, but she is such a loved character it would be very hard for someone to portray the role as well as we would hope they would.
You would find faults with anyone. I found little faults with all parts of the movie but that’s only because there is so much information that couldn’t fit it all in the book without the movie being like 4 hours long or something.
I’m such a big fan. And I’m sure you are too. But we would have found faults with anyone who played Bella.

  6. Eileen Yover says:

I’m pretty easy on movies from books, being a huge Stephen King (his old work) fan. But Bella to me was someone young but wise and mature for her age. Her role was just like any teenager, she didn’t pull off a “mature for her age” character to me and just seemed stuttery and boring. Just my opinion! And the movie DID cut off so much-I’d rather they cut it in two movies if they had to to fit what they needed in it. It came off cheesy and “made for tv”.
But you’re right, it’s hard to create movies to please the book fans-no one can replace your own interpretation of a character.

  7. california angel says:

Seriously, she’s what, 17 / 18 ? Compared to some of her counterparts I think she carries herself quite well. She might want to think about hiring a PR person to help her, but god forbid anybody actually be HONEST in the industry.

  8. Pistol Of Fire says:

Haha, I agree with you california angel about her carrying herself well for her age.
And I agree with you Eileen Yover about it being cut into two parts. That would have made it a lot more interesting and detailed too.

  9. Eileen Yover says:

Being a mother of a young girl, I disagree that she carries herself well. She’s a total pothead-and wears bikinis with marijuana leaves on them. She looks lit in pictures most of the time. I’m a young mom so I get that her age is what it is, but I wish the film industry would throw these kids out on their butts if they get caught with drugs or partying too much. It would help keep them in check of getting famous and everything they want too fast and end up crashing hard, plus set good expamples for the kids that love them. I can’t blame them for their behavior, but I wish there were more repercussions on them when they start doing something illegal or distructive.
    Ok off my soap box!

  10. Pistol Of Fire says:

I’m 15 and I am the biggest anti-druggie ever. But I do give them second chances. I know people who have died from drugs, but some of the most talented people have died from drug overdoses on purpose and accidentally. Marilyn Monroe, Kurt Cobain and Heath Ledger to name a few. Those pictures of her are quite old, so maybe she has stopped. Maybe she isn’t even a stoner, maybe she was just experimenting? But we probably will never know.

  11. kiki says:

she one of those people who cant close their mouth shes open jawed all the time

  12. Diva says:

LOL… she is completely a stoner! See if you can find her interview with Carson Daly a few months back, it was obvious, and I’m sorry, quite entertaining, lol… to me anyway.

I saw Stewart in interviews and stuff before I ever even considered seeing the movie or reading the books, and I thought she was pretty cool. Certainly not in the role model kinda way! But I enjoyed her alot.

I am in the middle of Eclipse right now, having read the first two this last weekend, and I honestly cannot see how you can say Bella is mature. She holds a wisdom, but she is far from mature. I find myself often wondering how Edward, being as “old” as he is, can put up with her little girl BS. To this end, I think Stewart is ideal for the role.

Having said that, I will admit that I saw the movie before I read the books, so I had no pre-conceived feeling of what Bella should look like. But as far as playing her… I think she was about as good as you were going to get these days.

  13. becca says:

@ Diva: Bella isn’t mature in the slightest.

Yeah, I agree Kirsten is a snot and very pretentious. But I’m very pleased to see that she has her head screwed on right. The Twilight fans she’s probably used to are batshit insane.

  14. Aud says:

Kristen, for as young as she is, seems to be fairly well down to earth for a celebrity. Maybe yes, she should keep some of her hand-biting private, but on the other hand, look what she has gone thru.

Her and Rob both went from virtual unknowns to some of the most recognized faces in Hollywood, literally overnight. She is still adjusting to not being able to sneeze without someone catching it on film. And between accusations about her relationship with Rob, constant cameras in her face, stupid questions like the mentioned “whats it like to kiss a vampire?” and being out Rob while twi-cessed teeny boppers embarass everyone screaming “Bite me Edward!” so far I think they have handled the sudden onslaught well.

So she smokes pot. Whooptie freakin doo. Native Americans smoke it and no one bats an eyelash. Its better than spped, or coke, or heroin, she hasnt drank herself stupid and cried how unfair a DUI was, theres been no porn and no crotch shots. I like her how she is!

  15. Cletus says:

If I had been in Twilight, I might be mad a little, too. She should cheer up, though….Jodie Foster did Freaky Friday and still managed to have some semblance of a career (heh) and maybe this kid can too.

By the way,I’m taking the pot RIGHT NOW.

  16. Holly says:

    @Aud

down to Earth? Oh, I suppose that’s why she trashes Twilight fans every chance she gets.

  17. becca says:

    Holly,

You obviously haven’t seen the fans that I’m familiar with. They’re the same fans that Kirsten knows all too well. Seriously, I’ve read horrifying stories where girls are inflicting bodily harm on their peers that don’t like Twilight. These are the same fans that Kirsten is slamming on, I guarantee it. They’re the same fans that HONESTLY think Robert Pattinson is Edward Cullen.

  18. Aud says:

@Holly: I dont blame her for trashing twilight fans. Not too many of us fans are mature about the whole thing. Everyone, even parents, are acting like they’re 12. I know thru obsessed friends there’s a gazillion Robs n Krises on myspace and facebook, all posing as the real deal and making them look bad. They scream and cry and stalk and make general pains in the arses out of themslves. If I had a 12 year old crying “marry me” or “bite me” every time I turned around, Id be pretty ticked too. Granted she should be more appreciate of the fans that feed her, since people are stupid enough to pay $50 for a book mark and $30 for a tin of freakin band aids, but still. She’s suddenly famous to immature dingbats. Id be tired of hearing “Im leaving my wife for you” too, because people just cant control themselves.

  19. Aud says:

Haha wow, here I am busting out intelligent debate and I look like I cant even type. Stinkin acrylic nails.

  20. LondonParis says:

I don’t give one hoot about her smoking pot- but I think that she should keep in mind that there’s a time and a place. I know from personal experience that smoking all day and going about your business can be fun- but if bitch has an interview, SMOKING RIGHT BEFORE IT TO CALM YOURSELF DOWN IS DUMB. she looks high, and seems anxious and nervous.

My one huge complaint with her is this- she shouldn’t dare complain about masses of people coming to see you and waves of media outlets asking you the same dumb questions over and over.
What would she have said if she passed the role up? “There was my big break.”

This is a HUGE break, it’s the sort of thing that youth in this industry are dying for, and frankly, if she had Googled “Twilight” before any involvement, she might have gotten a hint at what kind of fans she was going to get out of this movie.
She is ungrateful, and all that schmokin’ seems to have made her forget that she’s not all that talented or attractive either. Girl got SEEEERIOUSLY lucky.

  21. Howie says:

Okay, you do realize that no one has ever or will ever die of an overdose of marijuana, right? Please don’t put her smoking in the same class as people ‘using drugs’, like it’s dangerous or something. Get a clue- you should be far more worried about your kids drinking.

  22. morgs says:

    Yay Pot!

  23. CB Rawks says:

    Bow wow.

  24. steve g. says:

She is the best looking actress in Hollywood today.Plus she has that certain something about her.

  25. Murk says:

well.. kristen is the perfect Bella but she doen’t know how to act!

  26. sissoucat says:

Howie: a teenager in my country has died in his first experiment with pot. He was dazzled and had a bad reaction and jumped out a balcony. OK, it’s fairly rare, but sometimes it happens. Also, car crashes happen with pot.

Besides, smoking pot is much like smoking tobacco : smoking any plant leads to a variety of cancers. So I wouldn’t say it’s healthy.

  27. Pistol Of Fire says:

Ok so lets sort out this whole pot situation. I did a case study on it for school ages ago, and from my research unless your in a bad place mentally or physically you will have a bad trip which can lead to bad things, but that’s just from the research I have found.

And I think Kristen isn’t your typical run of the mill actress. She’s more of like a method actress and I think she is really good.

Yes, she sometimes says the wrong things but we all do, but we’re not usually caught on camera.

Give her a brake this is her first really big role and lots of people are following her so it’s going to take a lot of getting used to.

  28. Allison says:

Yes, everyone loves to complain sometimes in their life. But what you people don’t get, getting paid 12 million a movie is not just about acting. It’s about the WHOLE package. Producers pay you that much, not because you can act. They pay you to answer question, to seem amicable, and carry an image.

So calling everyone else not like her “contrived,” is rude and unseemly.

  29. Pistol Of Fire says:

Did she really get paid 12 million?

  30. FF says:

I get where she’s coming from, I think it’s kind of amusing actually – she should come over to the UK, our talk show hosts would probably find that endearing.

However, her agent should really get on that and give her some prep speeches of something. At least a few sentences or something. As I don’t see it coming over quite so well in the US.

She also might want to lay off the Pineapple Express and stand back from the situation a bit because she probably won’t get the opportunity again (although I think she’d be quite happy with that).

I just think that’s her way of dealing with the scrutiny. Seriously they can’t all be charmers. Most people find it distinctly stressful.

As for the Twilight movie – I’m sorry but the script let everyone down on that – it sucked. And they needed a better director, as well as giving that director time visualise the film better.

  31. Aud says:

“Also, car crashes happen with pot.”

Altho I have never done more than pot myself, I ran with a big, big drug crowd in my younger days. I saw a lot of car accidents, big and small. Not a single one of them tested postive for just pot.

People are quick to tell you someone had pot in their system. They dont always tell you there was also coke, or ecstacy, or alcohol..

  32. Takako says:

I think Kristen comes off as being very honest, and her awkwardness feels very real and endearing. However, like other people have said, perhaps if she prepared something funny or smart to say to fans if they regularly ask a particular dumb question, rather than winging it all the time when she’s nervous, she might do better. I mean, she says she is asked the same things a lot, so it wouldn’t do any harm to rehearse some answers in advance. It’s still your words, after all.

However, the pot thing is difficult. I don’t like the idea of people taking any drugs, but I see her perhaps trying to relieve stress in this Twilight madness, and I understand where she’s coming from. And it is, after all, her life. The problem is that she keeps rocking this “independent”, “I don’t answer to nobody” attitude when unfortunately she is now a role model for young girls – she has to be more conscious of the fact that it’s not just her life anymore. I certainly know that, being a tomboy myself, I would have looked to her rather than other preppier actresses her age as a role model.

Finally, Twilight? Wasn’t keen. Before people judge Kristen, perhaps they should rethink their allegiance with Bella – the girl who is unresponsive to people making friends with her, avoids spending time with them, and then proceeds to ignore them once she has Edward on her arm. I certainly think I can see the bigger ingrate here.

  33. Jess says:

Kristen Stewart is an average teenager. She comes across as trying way too hard to be an individual and ends up acting like every second teenager I’ve ever met. “I’m so different and cool and I just don’t give a f***”
Gee, she’s original. What pisses me off is how ungrateful she is. At this point I don’t give a damn if she CAN act or if she does the movie justice. Just seeing her reminds of her dissing the people and the franchise that’s paying her. If you don’t like it, give it up and stop complaining. Despite what she thinks, I doubt hundreds of girls will be devasted if she decides to leave the series. I’m sure there’s plenty of actresses out there who could do just as a good a job as she can without complaining about all the extra work they have to put in. “LYKE OMNG I TOTULLY HAFF TO PROMITE THIS SHLT AND PUT UP WIF PPL WHO LIEK THE MOVIE, HOW DARE THEY MAKE ME DO THAT WHEN THEY’RE ONLY PAYING ME MILLIONS”
    Suck it up, woman.

  34. kathy says:

okay, actually this whole twilight stuff is way overdone. She meets this crazyness every day and honestly I would also be fed up…GOOD TO KNOW not everyone in hollywood seems to be brainwashed or(mostly and) stupid.

  35. Vindaloo says:

    She’s a mouth breather.

  36. Kay says:

Kristen Stewart as well as Robert Pattinson should be thankful for the public that put them where they are today. Any actor in either role would have risen to fame just because of the success of the Twilight series. Their success is not based on their talent – that is for sure. Both, in my opinion, are terrible role models. In almost every intereview I have read, Kristen Stewart uses profanities. She is mostly photographed smoking, drinking, and partying. As for Robert Pattinson, he’s can’t make up his mind which girl he is going to sleep with next, not to mention photographs of his obession with drinking, smoking and partying. These young stars have a responsibility to Stephanie Myers, the fans, and the studios who have so kindly given them the opportunity of a lifetime. Show some class and decency. At least Taylor Lautner has shown some humility, class and professionalism. He is the youngest, yet shows that it is possible to have fame and class at the same time.

  37. myia howard says:

i think that all of you need to leave her alone you guys dont even no her and im sure none of you even saw her in person but like serously!?! and whoever said that she cant act that is soooo false if she couldent act then why would she be in hollywood right now

  38. Crystal says:

It’s no wonder why her and Robert Pattenson are such good friends, both come across as incredibly fake (he pulls the I hate the fame crap as well and even went so far as to claim that he only did Twilight because of Kristen). I’ll never understand why this ungrateful actress is so popular, she has a role (which was micast, in my opinion) that other young actresses would love to have and all she does is complain and make insulting comments.

howard: Acting talent is not a requirement in Hollywood, if it was Paris Hilton wouldn’t have an acting career.

  39. Velvet says:

i dont know her so I can say she is one way or another but she has the personalty of a rock and as for her fans it comes with the acting I say suck it up or get the hell out of the game

  40. DruPal says:

Well, she is being diplomatic. She didn’t even mention the overpowering, eye-watering stench that a thousand morbidly obese Twilight fans in an enclosed shopping mall can output. Shudder.

  41. Fanpire says:

I like Kristen, but I wish she didn’t smoke. It’s a bad example, and what she’s smoking is probably the reason for this weird behavoir. Just my little theory x

  42. StewFan says:

fu@k all of you kristen stewart is amazing she is 100% less superficial and bitchy then half of the other actresses out there. shut the hell up and talk about something that matters haters. and ill never be on this dumb@ss website again so say whatever the hell you want cause its not worth my time.

  43. trazza says:

kristen stewart is concieted, ungrateful, not very good looking, she drinks, smokes pot, parties all the time she is a terrible role model and most people that hate her are for that reason above or their jealous because they think she is going out with R-Pattz. With the way she is acting (in movies and on the streets) i’m sure her IQ is vvvvvveeeeeerrrrrryyyyyyy low!!!!!!
