This is one of the more surprising stories I’ve heard post-Emmys. Natasha Lyonne, 35, and Fred Armisen, 47, made their debut as a couple at the Emmys. They were seen together at a pre-Emmys party, they went as each other’s dates to the Emmys, and they went to a bunch of post-Emmys parties, arm and arm. It’s on!
The new couple spent the events leading up the 2014 Emmy Awards side-by-side as well as TV’s biggest night together.
The couple attended the Variety and Women in Film Emmy Nominee Celebration on Aug. 23 and were spotted having a super intimate conversation with one another and “were very flirty and talking very closely,” an eyewitness tells Us.
On Monday, Aug. 25, the duo attended the Emmys together. Hitting up fetes like the Governors Ball, AMC/IFC/Sundance Channel’s afterparty and Netflix’s afterparty. Lyonne, 35, and Armisen, 47, walked around the Netflix bash “chuckling” with their “arms linked,” another observer adds.

I know Armisen gets a lot of flack for being married to Elisabeth Moss for just six months before they split in 2010. Rumor had it that Fred was either cheating on Elisabeth with his then 23 year-old SNL costar Abby Elliot and/or that he couldn’t deal with the fact that she was a member of the Scientology cult. We don’t know what happened exactly and I don’t think it’s fair to put the blame on him – especially since Scientology is known to smear people who get in their way, and to actively work to break up marriages.
So now Armisen is dating Natasha Lyonne, and they make sense together. They’re both quirky and extremely funny people, they must have a blast. People Magazine had a profile of Natasha earlier this month, and they mentioned that she’s always cracking up her co-workers on the Orange is The New Black set. Costar Taylor Schilling said that Natasha is so funny she has trouble keeping a straight face while they’re filming.
Plus their age difference seems ok, 35 and 47 is not that drastic. These two make a cute couple, I hope it works out for them. Natasha has been through a lot and has come through the other side. She’s an excellent actress and I like to see her having success and happiness.

I can’t stand him or his “humor” either. The only time he EVER made me laugh was when he was in Euro Trip and he played the creepy guy(too well) on the train and kept putting his hand on the guys leg saying,” Scusie.”

Why would a 12 yr age difference be a big deal? Isn’t that the same age difference between Jolie and Pitt and no one thinks that is a big deal.
Isn’t it time we stop worrying about people dating and their ages. If they are happy, who cares if it’s 2, 12 or 20yrs between them. Age is only a number and only a bit deal if you make it one. Adults should be able to date, no matter the age difference.

That quote! It was a bit after their divorce. And it reeked of little girl, scorned. I am not an Elisabeth Moss fan. I find her unpleasant to look at, and she’s in deep with the cult. If that makes me horrible, then I’m horrible, but I just don’t like her. One might deem it an irrational dislike, as all this aside, she seems like a nice person, but no thanks.
I’ve never thought of him as creepy. I think he’s funny, talented, and I miss him on SNL. Natasha Lyonne, love. They are cute together, and if they’re just having fun, more power to em.

It’s entirely possible they both share a love of chemicals. Some gossip site recently had a blind about an unlikely couple getting together because of their love of drugs.
I hope it’s not them. She has really turned her life around, and I want to see good things for her.
Yes, Lyonne has a dark history with drugs and has cleaned up, but if you’re referring to the blind Lainey posted recently, most folks on other sites seem to think she’s talking about Mary-Kate Olsen and Sarkozy. Both have a history of drug use and if there was ever an odd couple to scratch your head over, it’s those two.
I highly doubt that blind was about Lyonne and Armisen, also because of other clues in that blind that wouldn’t add up to them.
Hope it’s not Natasha, she was rock bottom in the gutter just a few yrs ago because of her drug addiction, my friend used to see her strung out around NY all the time.
I have adored her ever since Slums of Beverly Hills and I’m happy that she seems to be thriving these days (she’s also my favorite part of OITNB). And she looked fantastic at the Emmys!
Natasha Lyonne is an excellent actress who i would love to see continue on a good path. Hopefully Armisen isn’t as bad as he looked in relation to the elizabeth moss marriage because Lyonne obviously need healthy people around her.
Does she have Hepatitis? Anyone else recalling her being seriously messed up on drugs and missing for an extended period? Fred is not funny.

I think she had major drug AND medical issues at some point – heart surgery maybe? I can’t remember.
Wikipedia notes heart surgery to repair damage done by an infection to her heart. One more reason to not use injected drugs…gives bacteria from your skin a straight highway to your heart, where it can grow on and damage the valves. Hope that blind item is not true, but addiction is powerful.
Natasha was messed up for quite a long time, yes. So much so that I am still shocked to see her around, especially since her show is doing so well. At one point in the past, she was supposedly on the brink of death. Quite a turnaround!
I would like to say I have 100% confidence that she is clean but I’m not so sure. Just think that she long-dated Edward Furlong … his substance abuse problems are epic.

Rumor also has it that he is really, really strange, and that’s part of why his marriage to Elisabeth Moss didn’t work out. I don’t know what the truth is, but I’ll bet it was a combination of the things that are rumored, and not just her religion.
He looks… ummm, not healthy … in most recent photos. So I’m buying the “unlikely couple hooks up for love of drugs” line of thinking, although I hope for her sake that that is not the case.
When I first read about the age difference, I was thinking that SHE was the older one! Natasha’s done some hard living.
I think Fred owned up to the failure of his marriage to Elizabeth Moss. He talked about it in Howard Stern.
I thought she was older than 35 just because it seems like she hit bottom so long ago. She really looks great and I hope she’s doing the right thing for herself.
