Here are some fashion photos from last night’s GQ Men of the Year Awards. I find it difficult to comprehend that Kim Kardashian, Pippa Middleton, Benedict Cumberbatch and Lindsay Lohan were ALL at the same event at the same time. God knows, they might have even exchanged words with each other. Would the Cracken even try to speak to Cumberbatch?! Would Kim Kardashian approach Pippa? It’s so crazy to consider.
Anyway, let’s start with Pippa, who seems like the weirdest choice for this event. Pippa wore this too-conservative Hugo Boss dress. Considering her style is always pretty awful and if you go into it with low expectations, this isn’t so bad. A few things: the in-between length does nothing for her, this should be either a full-length gown or a knee-length cocktail dress. And she needs a more supportive bra. She could do with better foundation garments overall.
Cara Delevingne in Burberry Prorsum. This whole thing is a mess and it’s a mess because it’s Cara. I feel like she’s about two stunt-queen moves away from either a major arrest or rehab. She looks strung out in a big way. She also wore some weird thing in her lip. I think it was supposed to look like a cherry?
Rita Ora in Zuhair Murad. I give her some points for being so try-hard. And this is like the first photo I’ve seen of her where I think the blonde works. The bust on the dress is too tight though. Needs better tailoring overall.
Yes, Lindsay Lohan walked the carpet. The Cracken was unleashed! Speaking of strung out… do you think Lindsay walked in on Cara in the bathroom or did Cara walk in on Lindsay?
And finally, Pharrell Williams. I realize the boots are Chanel and the hat is probably Westwood and the whole ensemble probably costs more than my house, but my goodness, if you’re going to spend that much money, why not just wear a suit? It sure costs a lot of money to look cheap.

Yes! That’s the first thing that caught my eye too! I do not understand people’s need to fake tan. No matter how they try, it always looks terrible!

I actually really like Lindsey’s dress. Just not on her. Something about her exposed leg makes me think she’s just in terrible shape. The pale skin aside (since she is fair to begin with) there’s no tone and her leg appears bloated.

I agree. From the side, she has a middle-aged woman’s body–kind of thick through the middle, sagging breasts, and a flat rear end (apologies to middle-aged women everywhere!).
Really? Look at the shoulders of the dress. It doesn’t sit right. There is also a seam right down the middle. Not to mention that the dress makes her look very short and as you say, bloated.
I think Pippa looks fine, aside from her posture. She needs to stand taller.
Cara’s dress is okay, if you are into that kind of lingerie-look. But the dress is too short in my opinion. Full length would have looked better. That “cherry” thing is stupid though.
They’re all pretty bad, verging on ridiculous. Pippa’s could be salvaged if it were shorter and she wore a better bra but the others are all beyond hideous. But none are as bad as Kim Kardashian.
Agree. And maybe Pippa could have tried a less matchy-matchy clutch (but that seems to be a Middleton habit). And I must admit, I love KK & Cara–for the sheer train-wreck value & jaw-dropping WTF dress sense.
No. Pippas is just too sad. Like she was going to one of those Royal events where all the women wear calf-length “sensible” outfits that make everyone look 63 years old, whether they are 19 or 75 to begin with. The neckline is not right for her, it smashes her boobs in and makes them appear lower than they should be in the dress. I have the same issue with crew necklines sometimes. She has sloping shoulders, so this worsens it. The colour is TERRIBLE on her, and the shoes look budget.
The rest of them are in a lower bracket: The Kardashian bracket. Awful, the lot of you. Now go home and change!

Lindsay’s hair looks like she slept in the gutter. Her dress is horrendous. Her only saving grace is that she finally got rid of her patchy orange fake tan. Thank God. Pippa isn’t horrible. She’s not a red carpet regular I’ll cut her slack. She didn’t look amazing but she didn’t look bad.

She just happened to have past out in a gutter somewhere nearby, was roused by the sounds of camera shutters and lurched Walking Dear style towards the lights, music and photographers, still bedazzled in last night’s cluster f*ck ensemble.

Yeah, she looks like a pinup girl which is clearly what she’s going for. Although the fit of this dress makes her look like somebody is standing behind her trying to crush all the air out of her, she still looks hot, which is the desires effect. I have trouble discerning the dress code for this event, but I think she’s the one who’s overdressed.
I agree about Rita! Whenever she tries she gets it right. She is naturally beautiful, you know, I don’t understand why she tries to be ghetto/boho/ white trash,etc. she only manages to look cheap and try hard. But when she cleans up, she cleans up well.
Cara looks good above shoulders. That’s just too much lace and…..Arrgh! I hate this trend among celebs of wearing corset bodysuit/panties/whatever with sheer/ see through skirts/dresses over it. It looks cheap, people. It screams TRASHY. Don’t you see it? Its like the Kartrashions are everywhere. So disgusting!

I think Pippa’s dress is actually very pretty, though something about it on her is not quite right. She has quite an athletic neck (I suffer from it too), so it’s just a bit too high/tight. On someone with a swan neck it would be perfect. Her hair, tan and shoes are a disaster, looks like she raided Mama Middleton’s closet.

The quality of men at this event was strong. The quality of women? Well…it varied. There were some good UK actresses there as presenters but really, Londoners, none of us will think you rude if you kick out the Cracken and miscellaneous reality star garbage from America. Frankly, we’d applaud.
I think overall the men looked better than the women this year…even the men who wore tuxes I didn’t like. The best dressed woman was Natalie Dormer, by far. I think Jenna Coleman might come in a distant second…by the virtue of the fact that I was not feeling what most of the women were wearing there.
Richard Madden and Douglas Booth were the best dressed men. Cumberbatch wears a suit well but that tux was not my favorite for him. Dan Stevens and Jamie Dornan ( oh and Luke Evans)… worst dressed men there. Forgot to add, as skeevy as I find Gerald Butler, he was one of the better dressed men.
I think I’d put Jenna ahead of Natalie (love the colour of the dress, hate the cut) but they’re both gorgeous. I have a soft spot for Jenna. She’s my height and, poor thing, I think Peter Capaldi is even taller than the last Doctor! She’s going to spend a lot of time standing on boxes. 🙂

None of them look good-Pippa stole a Mother of The Bride dress, Lilo stole whatever dress she could “borrow” without getting caught, Rita “stole” a dress Calvin Harris bought her before they broke up, and Cara well…I think she has put her coke spoon in the wrong orifice. The true disaster of the nite was the North’s mom and her stylist, Kanye.
God, I hate when she does the kiss pose more than anything. It’s just gross. Also she has no shape and wearing that kind of dress is a giant NO. (not bodyshaming here, just saying she did that to herself with booze and drugs).

A V-neckline is universally flattering, I’d be curious to see what difference that would have made on Pippa’s look. I agree she should wear actual colors (especially with that fake tan), but then I’m not a fan of the nude look.
I am not a fan of the nude look, either. Maybe this was pinker in person, but it certainly photographs beige. Maybe like a better fitting version of this?

You know, Lindsay has looked bad on red carpets for years, but here, for the first time (for me), she looks like she simply doesn’t belong. She looks like a not-that-attractive woman from middle America who won a “walk the red carpet!” raffle and bought a $100 dress at the mall. Here she seems to have lost that indefinable thing that makes “celebrity” out of human material. She just looks DONE.

Pull up the boobs and the hair a bit higher, Pippa. But otherwise it’s nice to see her, almost a girl next door having fun just like the rest of these cracked up celebrities.
Pippa would really win if she hired a stylist. She’s going to be photographed often anyway so why not have fun with it and up your game? I know she can afford one and she has a good body, not flawless (like most of us) but athletic and slim. She just doesn’t have a good sense of style. Just look at her choice of shoes with the dress. If I were her I’d get at part time stylist and run with it!
Pippa does work with stylists and hair people. I think she takes the garment or dresses home to her flat in the city ,though and goes with her own ideas for accessories out of the Middleton ladies closet. Hence the grandma shoes.

I don’t mind any of these looks on the people wearing them, except for Lindsay’s. I loathe animal prints in general, and this zebra-ish print is just not good. The colors are not good with her coloring at all. And those 80s era shoes are fug.

Until now I hadn’t understood the concept of a girl making a dress look bad. Rita’s dress I think is so gorgeous on a classy lady and better tailoring in the boob area, it has potential to be breathtaking but alas, the wearer…. Lilo’s dress isn’t so bad either, but would need someone different to pull it off.

Although I’m not a Pippa fan at all, I guess I’d rather look at her than the others, particularly Kim Kardashian. Geez, Kim is horrid and vain! Pippa’s makeup and hair looks awful, like Wallis Simpson circa 1948, the dress was pretty but just too matronly.
I would bet money that Lilo made that slit herself with a pair of scissors. The dress just looks like it wasn’t meant to hang that way, and there isn’t quite enough fabric to cover her. Plus she apparently has a history of taking scissors to designer gowns that she is loaned.
