When Britney Spears was in Poland just two days ago, she had her long hair/extensions in a high ponytail, J.Lo-style. I thought it was good that she was trying to change things up because, bless her heart, her hair situation hasn’t been good since she shaved it all off six years ago. But now Brit-Brit is making bigger changes, y’all. Britney deputed her sleek new bob in Germany yesterday. The “sleek bob”/white suit photos are from Germany – the wavy-bob photos are from Copenhagen, Denmark.
So, what do you think? I like it. I like it even though it ages her. She IS 32 years old and a mom of two, so maybe this mom-bob is completely appropriate. More appropriate than clinging to that “I’m a Slave 4 U” look which… needed to be left behind. What’s even better is I think her new hair is actually HER hair. Or am I wrong about that? Am I looking at a wiglet? Hair pieces? I can be a bad judge about that sometimes. In any case, I do like this look.
Have you seen this video interview she did in London? Her voice sounds weird. I think she’s trying to suppress her British accent!!!

I think she look fabulous. If anything ages her, it’s the heavy eye make up. The hair and outfit look properly grown up without looking old lady.

I love Britney but I think it makes her look older.She need’s to make it a darker shade.The color is just one color and no one’s hair is like that.Also she has a thing for a bob when she is not doing well.The pink wig and a blond one years ago for some football thing.Am I the only one that see’s she is in a bad way right now?
@petee I think actually, she always does the Bob when she’s finally starting to come out of a rough spot, and everyone holds their breath because is our real? Is she all the way back? She looks wonderful! Finally she realized the bad hair was bad! And 3 days later, it’s extensions again. She may go light brown in a couple days, then it’s back to blond extensions.

Agreed. This is the best she has looked in ages. The hair and body-appropriate clothing really work for her in these photos. The more telling contrast of her age is when she wears awful hair extensions and tight spandex outfits that do her body no favors. Clothing should be a seamless extension of who a person is with the body complementing the clothing as much as the clothing complements the body. Her Vegas outfits always appear like a forced stand-off between her older body and her teen idol youth.

It looks fabulous. I agree with others that the eye make-up is the bigger problem. The hair makes her look younger than the long locks do imo. Also, she has aged a bit I’m sure largely due to the stress of the past several years and her medications. This update is exactly what she needed.
I think it looks great. The color could be shaded a bit, but other wise it’s nice. I am so tired of that boring long hair that so many celebs have. It’s outdated and if you’re over 18 it makes you look like you’re trying to be 12. Glad to see that some celebs are getting rid of the long extensions look.
Since when did long hair become “outdated”? Its just straight long hair. Might be boring, but outdated and looking 12, I dont get…personally I’m the other way around. I don’t really find that even chin length hairstyles flatter the majority, and usually it does age the person.

I don’t like it in the pics where she’s all in white and I’ve never personally found her pretty, but the last pic of her here dressed all in black shows her with it wavy, and she looks absolutely STUNNING…wouldn’t even have known it was her.
yep! I was thinking a bit wavier would be nice and it looks fantastic. I spent way too much of my time post head-shave wishing we could see her hair in a close crop because I’ll bet that looked cute too.

I always find it amusing when the media raves about “new hair cuts” when the person just took out their weave or extensions. The color is still a tad harsh, but it looks healthier short.

I hate to say this, but she is just not aging well. Maybe it is from the constant use of tanning beds as a teenager? She is my age, and I remember when she was in her early 20’s , she was dynamite. I remember a guys drooling all over her. Don’t get me wrong, she is pretty, but nothing spectacular anymore. I guess I am comparing her a bit to j-lo, who seems to age really well.
She is also a smoker and a former drug user.
I remember I used to be jealous because she had a tanning bed on her tour bus, and I thought that would make everything so easy! Now I see I was probably lucky to have limited access to tanning beds.
I think she looks great. There is a fine line between mom-bob and chic-bob. IMHO, the ultimate mom-bob is the one sported ad infinitum by Anna Wintour. As long as it’s not cut too short (and Britney’s isn’t) or with bangs, this is a surprisingly versatile hairstyle. Personally, I like a sleek bob, no bangs, slightly angled foward – but you generally need fine hair to pull it off right.

Not in regards to your comment, but I dislike the name of “mom-bob”, because it implies that to be a mom is to be matronly or frumpy. I don’t like the implication that women can look either young/girlish or frumpy/matronly. There are plenty of options in between those two extremes!
I think this style doesn’t necessarily age her…it matures her. She looks more like a sophisticated business woman instead of a Real Housewife, which I think is a huge step in the right direction.

I think she looks great. It looks especially good wavy and in the black outfit. Although, she does look older than her 32 years, I don’t blame the hair. I, too, have a soft spot for Britney. She looks good, although a bit too “power soccer mom” for me. I am 42 and my hair is pretty long, although that’s just my preference for me. I get that she’s launching her lingerie line and needs to be all business bitch and that’s the look she’s going for so it works. But she always has that vacant, crazy look on her face, the one in the pic under the video specifically is the one I mean.
But I’m rooting for her and I do feel bad for her. I hope this is something she wanted to do and pursued. She needs projects of her own.

It does age her a bit, but I love that this is her real hair and no extensions. It would maybe look cuter if it was styled a bit differently, more of a swingy bob rather than this blunt bob. I think her color needs to be toned down just a notch too.
That baby voice kills me. It’s just too phony. Smoking is killing her looks and I’m not digging the 40-something swag on her. She still has that medicated dead eye, with the forced smile thing going on.

I’ve always liked bobs….so I approve! I’m glad they are coming back into style a bit. Not everyone looks good with the wavy look. I’m more a fan of the sleek look….the thicker your hair, the better the bob looks. There are also various bob cuts, some shorter in back, some longer length bobs, or even bangs and bobs work on some people.

Oh thank G@d, I’ve been waiting for this for years! I can stop reading gossip sites now. Britney looks good. I’d love to see that style on her in a golden honey brown colour, but I’ll take this for now; it matures her and suits her better than those godawful extensions and ratty hair. I’d like to see more natural makeup too (less raccoon heavy all round the eye eyeliner), but I guess, baby-steps. This look is major progress, all things considered. Of course, it’s a look for the cameras, so who knows what style travesty will occur when she’s just out and about grabbing coffee, but it would be so nice if she cleaned up her look in her personal time too…it’s so easy to look slovenly and she doesn’t deserve that. Kudos to the stylist…now let’s consider updating Britney’s overall style in everything to 2014/15 … the sexy kitten look is just foolish. Why not have fun with her figure and age now? It’s insulting otherwise.

I think the cut looks super cute and isn’t aging at all. She looks a lot fresher and classy at the same time.
She will never, ever know how to dress, but she looks happy. I think her hairstyle looks good on her, especially after the years of ratty weaves she doesn’t take care of. However, I think hot hair is ageless and no one needs to look like a ‘mom’ just because they are – are we still doing that? Slotting ourselves into categories based on what a ‘responsible’ and ‘respectable’ woman should be doing?

I actually think Britney has always had awful hair, even at her peak. Well, after she went bleach blonde anyway, her more natural hair during the “Hit Me Baby One More Time” period was nice. But since then, the bleach blonde has always looked so processed and gross. I like the bob but I think she should go for a more natural blonde now, THAT will make her look younger.
I like the entire look on her – it’s more grown up – in a GOOD way. She is almost 33 so it’s nice to see her finally trying out some more sophisticated looks.
