Here we have photos from a Michael Kors event yesterday in honor of a new portrait book of young female celebrities called Young Hollywood by Claiborne Swanson Frank. Subjects include Isabel Lucas, who is featured on the cover, Dakota Johnson, Elisabeth Moss, and Amber Heard. Out of all of those women, the only one I spotted was Isabel Lucas. There was still an excellent turnout, with all of the ladies in Michael Kors, to mixed results.
First off we have Emmy Rossum in a Michael Kors Resort 2015 black dress with a chiffon skirt. I don’t mind the extremely deep v neck, that kind of bodice is popular lately and there’s something very striking about it. The gown is lovely and I like her accessories, she just has really bad makeup. The makeup artist who did her eyes in those shades of red should be ashamed. Maybe they were trying to match her eyeshadow to Michael Kors’s face. It doesn’t look avant garde, it just makes her look ill.
Here’s Alison Brie in a mod eyelet Michael Kors skirt and dress combo. At least only the top is see through. Brie’s makeup isn’t terrible, but her eyelashes look like overkill. It looks like she’s wearing false eyelashes on the top and bottom. Still, cute outfit and it seems to suit her.
Julianne Hough worked a shiny tight Kors pantsuit. This was Kaiser’s favorite look of the night. I like the brooch and her hair, which is perfectly tousled.
Zoe Kravitz stepped straight out of the 90s in this plain silk lingerie dress. This looks like something I wore in college.
Here’s Nina Dobrev in a formfitting white floral sequin minidress. I can almost see her nude foundation garments underneath, but it’s not quite see through. Nina almost always gets it right.
Also in the gallery we have Kiernan Shipka looking like a little lady, Hailee Steinfeld looking very 60s cute, and Isabel Lucas swimming in a long ruffled peach dress accessorized with an off-center belt. It’s like Little House meets Hee Haw.

This is like someone opened the Pandora’s box of fashion horrors, especially the sister-wife get-up at the end. And of course Kors is wearing the suit that he has 5000 copies of and never deviates from. I wonder if there is a pajama version too.
I’d like to comment on the dresses but the level of spray-tan on Kors is throwing me off..
lol. Best you not see most of it anyway. It’s like the bottom of the barrel was selected for each decade or they didn’t have it in the right size and/or the tailors ran off to attend the Klooney wedding.

Emmy’s Make-up really makes her look like has a teribble eye-infection. Imo there are very few people who look good with reddish-brown eyeshadow.
Emmy looks like she has the flu. And Michael Kors looks like a raisin.

Yes those pants are very Laura Petrie. Always a classic style, which I always love.
Alison Brie’s combo is something I would wear except the shoes (judge away if you want). I think everyone looks good here.
I know it’s all about the frocks- which are pretty nice apart from the last one- but have to say that Alison Brie is fab as Annie in ” Community”, so many good performances in that plus Joel McHale who is actually meant to be pretty cheesy in it and not surprisingly nails it….
Love Hailey Steinfield and Juliane Hough’s outfits. I just wish Julianne wasn’t matchy-matchy with the clutch. Isabelle’s dress looks like the dress worn by Annabelle doll in the Conjuring.
I love Emmy Russum. She’s a little wild but still seems nice and fun and I dig that about her. Although, I agree that her make-up is a little overboard, whatever the make-up artist was going for didn’t quite work out.
About Nina Dobrev, I feel like I’ve seen her in items like this a billion times. No offence, she looks great. I just wish she’d change it up a bit.
Julianne Hough almost always gets it right for me (almost mostly because of that one time during Halloween)
Julianne Hough would go to the opening of a bag of microwave popcorn-but the suit is cool. I like most of the looks. The red eyeshadow is hard to pull off for anyone, but I think Emmy does it.
I love Emmy’s eye make up, but I’m having trouble out growing the dark eyeliner stage so maybe don’t ask my opinion.
Zoe Kravitz looks so much like her mother, especially with the hair. Gorgeous.
