How smug is Gwyneth Paltrow these days? VERY. It’s been a whole week since every media outlet confirmed that Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin had split. It’s also widely believed – and sources confirmed as much to People Magazine – that Gwyneth is one of the big reasons why Chris and J-Law split. Gwyneth orchestrated it, she casually and efficiently sabotaged them and J-Law cut her losses and walked away. Jennifer Lawrence was seen visiting Chris’s house a few days ago, but most people believe the visit was probably that awkward exchange of stuff, maybe a “we’ll still be friends, right?” speech. Some people think Chris and J-Law could get back together. And some people think Chris and Gwyneth could get back together!
With their relationship appearing to be as close as ever since they announced the end of their 11-year marriage, it was only a matter of time before speculation would begin about a reconciliation. According to the Sunday People, sources close to Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin now claim that the couple, who announced their split in March, are on the road to patching up their romance.
‘Despite being very different beasts, Chris and Gwyneth adore one another. I suppose it’s a case of they can’t live without one another,’ a source close to the couple is quoted as saying. ‘Talk of officially ending their marriage is not even on the agenda. Lawyers haven’t been introduced yet. The chances of there being a happy reconciliation are very high. The split released a lot of pressure from the intense relationship but they are still very close. They look back and enjoy what they did have and are loving what they currently have.’
The news comes days after it was revealed that Chris had split with Jennifer Lawrence following a two-month romance. And on Thursday night, the Oscar-winning actress spent two hours at Chris’s Malibu home, collecting her belongings and talking with the Coldplay star.
A source close to the actress told MailOnline: ‘Jennifer went over to Chris’s to apologise for the coverage of their breakup being so one-sided, reclaim her possessions and to ensure there were no hard feelings.’
The source insisted that Jennifer is now happily single, adding: ‘They’re not getting back together.’
Everything’s coming up GOOP! I kind of wonder how Gwyneth’s boyfriend Brad Falchuk is handling all of this. The last we heard, Gwyneth had successfully “homewrecked” his marriage and she and Brad were doing the “openly dating behind closed doors” thing. I have different theories about what’s really going between Gwyneth and Chris at this stage. I suspect that Gwyneth doesn’t want him to be with anyone else, especially not someone younger, thinner or more successful. But I doubt she wants their marriage to survive. I mean… there’s a reason why everyone thought they were going to split up for years. They seemed really unhappy together.
Meanwhile, did you guys read the new issue of Goop? Gwyneth actually admits that she’s not all about the perfect lifestyle and that “pizza, a cigarette at a party, a perfect martini, a daily glass of red…these aren’t ‘cheats’ or ‘indulgences’—these are just moments that can make a week more pleasurable, a night out with friends more fun.” Whoa! It’s a whole new Goop.

In the context of Celebrity and fame, I’d agree with OllyHolly. These two were never planning a divorce. They wanted to smoke and mirror their public images for the sake of allowing infidelity. Infidelity sucks. I can’t tell you how betraying and soul shaking it is. At the end of the day, while it’s supposedly personal and private for them, they announced it to the public so they deserve whatever judgments they get.

I’m with you Judyjudyjudy. People act like they are connected to these people and forget that most of this is GOSSIP. Not just GP/CM but all celebs and the gossip. We really have no idea what goes on in the relationships. I agree GP can be annoying in her comments but this whole narrative the press made during the split is just that- . Are we suppose to think CM is that stupid he doesn’t make any of his own decisions? People bought it hook line and sinker. It seems every source or story is believed and adds to making her the villain

I really doubt that Gwyneth is responsible for ending Chris’ relationship with Jennifer Lawrence. I get that people don’t like Gwyn, but to villify for her this seems ridiculous. I find it hard to believe that Chris and Jen played no role in the demise of their own relationship. Also, I certainly wouldn’t want my husband back if we had a trial separation and he slept with another woman. Do people who separate with hopes of reconciling in the future think it’s okay to start relationships with other people? The thought of my spouse being with another woman while we were separated would likely incline me to just get a divorce. How do you go back to being married after your husband/wife publicly had another woman/man in their life? And in this case there are articles and photographic evidence that won’t let you forget about it.

Chris and Jennifer’s relationship – if it ever really existed at all – can’t have been very strong if it could simply be ‘sabotaged’ by an ex. If they wanted to be together, they would. They were not seeking Goop’s approval and I doubt she cared enough to ‘sabotage’ them.
I don’t think it was real… I never did. I think this was all to stir up drama for the release of his new album, and general publicity for all involved. Chris and Jen were never photographed touching or being especially couple-y, so I can easily see where this was just a three month agreement/contract and now everyone is amicably going their separate ways.
It doesn’t seem like Jen would have as much of a reason for doing this, but maybe she thought the nude photos would go over smoother if she appeared to be in a relationship. (Supposedly, most of the actresses had some warning before they went public.) I also have wondered if her relationship with Nicholas Hoult was for publicity. They mostly dated during filming, and then don’t live int he same country. It would be an easy showmance to keep going. I’ve heard that Jen has a long term, non famous boyfriend, but I don’t know how reputable my source is.
I don’t see how it would be too hard for GOOP to take him back. Chris and Goop were both getting theirs…it wasn’t one spouse staying home playing the good homemaker and taking care of the kids, while the other was banging groupies–they both had their fun. And where are the rumors about Goop and Brad Fulchuk coming from?
Goopster has been no saint in her marriage, so she is hardly wringing her hands like a jilted bride. She will smile in your face and shove an icepick in your liver, it’s just her style. Chris will pay for dating a younger woman…and soon.

C’mon this was ALWAYS the plan. I never believed Chris and Jen were dating and Chris was out with Goop (with pictures) all the time. Including a birthday party so yes they were always going to get back together. By only that but I don’t think Jen would have ever inserted herself into a situation with a married couple. She said so in an interview last year that she would go after her celeb crush (JT) if he was married. By all accounts Chris is friends with the THG cast and this was a convenient distraction in publicity for the both of them. And it worked because the tabs wrote stupid story after stupid story with no proof for two months. So kudos

Does anyone really take Paltrow seriously, though? I’ve never been able to drudge up any serious dislike for her simply because she is so ridiculous to me. She’s so obviously a product of an insulated and privileged upbringing that I just roll my eyes. People are what they are, and there’s nothing anyone could say to her to change it at this point.

Not entirely sure I agree with the narrative that J. Law’s out was created purely by GOOP. She’s young enough that if she really wanted it, she’d go for it hell or high water. (We’re all stubborn at 24, yo.) I suspect it’s more accurate to suggest GOOP’s impact may have annoyed her, but her own lack of investment in the relationship beyond “fun” is the more deciding factor. She’s in her early twenties and on top of the world. She was bound to wake up and realize she was bored out of her mind.

I don’t think he’ll wind up with someone thinner, but chances are pretty good he’ll wind up with someone younger than her (not necessarily much younger, but since he’s 37 I figure he could at the very least wind up with a 32 year old, which would not be inappropriate).
Brad and Ben found other women to be with, so I find it unrealistic if she thinks he’ll never wind up with anyone (assuming his personality isn’t extremely terrible like Charlie Sheen’s).
