Kylie Jenner covers the February issue of Cosmo at age 17. Does that seem a bit young? The magazine did keep the cover tasteful by Cosmo standards. The headlines on this cover are relatively tame and absent of their usual “party” tips. It’s not like they styled Kylie in a super tight bandage dress or anything. She’s in casual wear and her Kylie Kouture hair extensions. She’s promoting that false hair, now and always.
Cosmo released a few excerpts. The first one about media scrutiny makes me feel for Kylie (even though I still side-eye her puppy problems). Growing up in front of the camera sounds super tough, especially with a family as fake as the Kardashians. It’s no wonder she spends so much time on hair, makeup, and selfies as a teenager. This is what she grew up watching, so it’s her idea of success. She’s previously said that “fame is normal,” and she elaborates more here:
On growing up in the public eye: “When I was like 10, 11, 12, I had a really hard time with the media. During your adolescence, girls deal with their peers at school, then they go home and they don’t have to deal with it [there]. It was a lot more haters to deal with … especially since I was younger and my sisters were so beautiful and had it all together. I can have my moments and say that I don’t want this life anymore, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. The good is definitely worth the bad.”
On her parents announcing their separation while filming KUWTK: “I didn’t say anything [while the cameras were rolling.] I went in my room and cried right after. If they’re happy, I’m happy, I guess.”
On plastic surgery rumors: “You guys have watched me grow up since I was 9. My face is going to get different. Now, I know how to do my makeup, contour, and everything. I’m not against surgery. I’d never say no, but I don’t desire it right now.”
On the Kardashian-Jenner girl code “If a guy does one little thing to me, then you’re dealing with, like, six other girls.”

I think Kylie is telling the truth about not having any true plastic surgery, but she’s probably had lip injectibles. She also enhances her lips by overlining them and claims to be bored when people speculate. She’s likely telling a half truth, but that’s the Kardashian way. I agree. Did they seriously tell them on camera? What horrible parents. And yes – I toss Bruce in on that because the man can say no at any time. He could have insisted. Regarding the lips, you can see her natural lips if you look closely enough. It is liner. But she wears such a mountain of makeup its sad. She’s a beautiful girl who will no doubt have a lifetime of issues.
There are pics of her from the side and you can clearly see her lips are plumped up. With regards to their show…I doubt they told the kids about the divorce while the cameras were rolling…they just re-created a scene for the cameras. That show is fake, don’t believe any of it.
Like someone else said, you can see from the side that they’re completely fake. People need to stop giving this family the benefit of the doubt, it’s embarrassing.

Ugh. I guess I’m in the minority but I think that girl is incredibly fake-looking and far from beautiful–she looks a bit like Lil Kim in some of those Instagram pics. I do agree that she would fit in well with the Kardashian Klan though.
Kitten – for the narcissists like the K Klan, yes that is exactly what Instagram is for lol. The selfie that I dread the most is the car selfie – people in the drivers seat taking pic of themselves :S. I just don’t get it. I use Instagram and like it more than Facebook – there are some really cool and talented photographers on there that I follow. And it’s nice to see the pictures my friends post of their lives.
It has always bothered me that the two younger Kardashian-Jenner girls dropped out of school at such a young age, and very likely did not do ANY homeschooling after that. The older one seems to maybe be building a promising modeling career, but what about Kylie? What is she going to do with her life? She has no talents and has already jacked her face up and looks inhuman to me (at least in the very top picture, she looks incredibly elf life to me). I wish the Kardashians would go away already, but it’ll be interesting to see in a few years what happens to the two youngest ones.

Yeah I think it is just makeup. In a lot of the photos of her with the larger lips, I can clearly see her normal lip line lower down. It’s just contouring and tricks. Plus there are recent photos of her out and about with no makeup on and her lips look much thinner, so yeah, it’s just makeup.
Please post links for these pics because I have never seen them. Her before lips were about as thin as mine and there is no way I could contour them using makeup to look like that, no way at all. I found a recent pic of her with no lipstick and clearly she has had fillers
Sabrine, a quick google search confirms to anyone with normal eyesight that her lips are completely different. Whether it’s due to injections or Photoshop, I guess that can be up for debate. But lipliner can only do so much. NO amount of liner can create that effect. It’s simply not possible. These new lips are easily three times their original size.
Her lips have been obviously altered, the photographic evidence is incontrovertible.

No amount of lip liner can make your lips rounded and actually full. They will look big, but still be flat from the side. Her lips are rounded. She’s had injections, it’s honestly not even debatable.

Her makeup REALLY creeps me out. Like maybe I’m just an old fart (because I was never interested in makeup, nail polish, or any other vaguely girly things), but I can’t believe she goes out with that much make up on every day…..that’s not something that a young girl learns to put on herself for FUN. And makeup should be fun; at least every day stuff when you’re that young. She looks like a wax figure.
I’m with you. I see women with so much makeup on during the day. To me, it’s makeup you would wear if you were going out to the club, still not even that much. I’ve noticed young women are wearing lots of makeup these days. I think a lot of it’s due to famous women like KK, who don’t go out without 2-3 hours of makeup and hair.
I have noticed that this generation is over-doing it with the make-up and drawn on eye brows. It looks very tacky. I blame it on the You Tube tutorials that teach girls how to “do make-up like a pro”. They show them how to contour and highlight. The problem is, most of these girls don’t realize how ridiculous it looks on them. They aren’t doing it right. Plus why do you need to contour and highlight your face just to go to school or the mall? These make-up techniques are for special occasions or the red carpet, not Wal-Mart. These types of make-up techniques look ok in special lighting for photoshoots…it looks horrible in mall lighting !
It’s way to much makeup especially at an age when you should be relishing the fact that you don’t have much to cover up save the occasional breakout.
But more young girls are turning to looks like this. Even my 12 year old knows how to contour, etc because makeup tutorials are apparently huge in the YouTube world. Of course she’s not even allowed to wear makeup yet but she’s gotten into mine to practice. And neither myself nor her elder sister (20) wear much if any makeup on a regular basis. But she and her friends are always imstagramming photos of each other and the makeup tips. She is comstantly asking me when she can wear makeup. One more front on the battle to make sure my kids stay kids. And she and her friends love Kylie and Kendall Jenner.
My niece was wearing eye shadow and lip gloss to school at the age of 7 ! I couldn’t believe it. It’s not my place to say anything as I’m not her mother but I was shocked her parents let her. I can’t imagine at 16 what she’ll be wearing. She told me she has to be the prettiest girl in her class. She even told me “I’m glad this other girl is not in my class because then she’d be the prettiest girl in my class and I want to be the prettiest”. I’m disappointed that this is what girls minds are at now a days. I also blame it on some bad parenting.

Ugh same!!! If I had that much makeup on my skin, I would have to wear makeup every day just to cover up the horrendous pimples I would get from wearing so much makeup! Give me some mascara, brow liner (what is with getting older and thinning eyebrows of all things???), and some blush – on a day that I actually feel like putting on makeup – and I’m good to go!

When I was a kid, my mom let my sister and I have a box of make-up to play with. It was seen like a toy, though, just for fun. She wouldn’t let me wear it to school, etc. It was like playing with arts and crafts on your face.
Now I am a grown adult, and I still use my make up for fun. I have my basic stuff wear for work to look polished, but on weekends I wear little to no make up unless I am going out to have fun with friends. Frequently, I will do some crazy wild makeup in my bathroom…but then will wash it off before I go anywhere.
Make up should be fun, not an obligation. I feel like the way girls are raised as a lot to do with their relationship with make up and how it impacts self esteem.

Well it’s just so funny (to me at least) how different I am, compared to my younger sister. She’s been begging to wear makeup since she was 12, lol. And my parents are on her like a freaking hawk….but we are so different. I definitely feel like she’s always been “the beautiful one” (and she is beautiful, and she knows it), and always wants to reflect that. I agree with what you said–makeup is something that should be fun,etc–she definitely sees it as something necessary. She’s very into her appearance, even when it doesn’t matter–while I am the complete opposite.

Why, Cosmo has appealed to high school and college kids as long as I can remember. I recall when I was about eleven, a survey was done as to the demographics of Cosmo and the other fashion mags, and they found that like 40% of their readership was kids. I was looking at before and after photos of her and she is unrecognizable. Her face is completely different and it’s not just the lips. Her nose looks different and her eyebrows are higher, how does that even happen? Botox?

I got my left nipple pierced for my 21st birthday. It was relatively painless (surprisingly) and felt the same as my ear and navel piercings. Unfortunately after 3 problem free years I had to take it out. My toddler brother headbutted my boob and for whatever reason my body began rejecting it (cbr ring started to move). I was sad I had to remove it although my boyfriend (who hated it) sure wasn’t 🙂 lol.
I had a younger coworker get one on her 25th birthday. She didn’t have any reactions, infections or anything. She enjoyed it but didn’t keep it. I think she just got bored with it after awhile. But she didn’t regret getting it done.
Husband has two in each nipple. It’s mostly about keeping them clean, using the right [stainless/surgical steel] jewelry and trying not to smack your tit on things. This is why I don’t have mine done…I always get hit in the bewbs.

I agree that this was inevitable but if she’d had someone

I’m not too sure about that. After all, the Kardashian girls were raised by Robert and Kris and went to normal (read: posh) school. Kourtney even moved away and attended uni and she ended up birthing her child on TV.
The fame came after Robert’s death and when the girls were grown up. They still gravitated towards the life they’re leading now.
I think the fact that they were very well-off to start with, detached them from normal aspirations to start with. That and Kris’ fameseeking genetics.

Still think it’s more than just lip injections. The nose and chin difference could be attributed to contouring (which, from what I’ve seen, tends to look like painting on completely different facial features and irritates me in itself), but unless she spends every second of the day holding her eyes wide open she’s gotten something done to her eye area– probably a shot of botox to the brows. Her face isn’t even fully developed and the caricature she’s already been allowed to transform herself into gives me a whole bunch of NOPE.

It’s odd to me how every young woman seems to aspire to look like Angelina Jolie. What they’re not getting is that when Angelina first came on the scene, she was so stunning BECAUSE she was so unique-she wasn’t a carbon copy.

Well her make up is really good, but I stumbled upon a KUWTK episode the other day after she started with the “big lips” (she already had short blue hair or something) and was at the pool and her lips were as thin as always. But in a different scene with make up in her lips were 5x bigger. So that’s the only reason why I believe it might just be make up on the lips. Everytime I tune in on recent episodes, on make up free days or by the pool her lips are still thin as always.
But in any case, let us wait until she turns 18 later this year. Then shit’s gonna get real.

You can’t take reality shows as if they are in chronological order, though. They edit footage together to create story lines. Also, it is my understanding that lip injections aren’t permanent. They go down after sometime, and then you get re-injected.
Please, she looks so plastic already. It’s really sad, but I guess that family gets a group rate at the plastic surgeon’s.

She always had the Jenner thin lips just as dad and Kendall have…she definitely got her trout pout through means other than lip liner. As much as we/I are tired of the reality star queens, they’re here to stay. The eye rolling Kate Gosselin, teen moms and Kardashians are here to stay it seems. Instead of a model on the cover of magazines such as this, we now see these vamps. Kylie is 17 going on thirty and I don’t see a happy ending for her.

Yeah, I think Kylie seems to be really inspired by Kim which is funny since I watch their show (guilty pleasure) and she is much closer to Khloe, but she really seems to want to morph herself into Kim, especially when she wears the long dark extensions, fake lashes, fuller lips, and what seems to be her newly purchased breasts according to her Instagram.

There have been a few pictures of her walking around with no makeup on and you can see her lips look puffy and swollen because she clearly has fillers so she is a liar just like everyone else in her family. I can’t personally knock her though, I think she has gone way too far, but she literally had no lips and was definitely not very attractive before. It just goes to show that looks are literally everything to this family and if you’re the “unattractive one” it is considered natural that you would go buy yourself some new features to fill the void. You’re lips don’t get bigger with age though? Wtf, just call it like it is and say you got lip injections. When they have obviously gotten so much bigger, what’s the point of denying it anymore?
I actually feel bad for her. Especially when she talked about how her parents broke the divorce to her- it’s very telling of the type of parenting she’s had. She’s a kid, she never had a chance the second Kris decided to make a brand. It’s sad that Kylie will never get that childhood back and seems to be in such a rush.
1.) Denying it will get her more pr. She learned this from Kim. If she admitted it, the curiosity and gossip would go away.
2.) Their show is fake. They recreate scenes. Even Humphries proposal to Kim was re-shot.
3.) Don’t feel to sorry for Kylie. She won’t have to go to college or university and will still end up a millionaire by doing virtually nothing (just like Kim). She’s going to have emotional issues no matter what, as she was raised in “Hollywood”.
I definitely know some things are scripted on the show, but I actually kind of buy they would do something shitty like that? Everyone in this family is just so vile that they would totally do over the top things like that for a good episode. You’re definitely right about her marrying a millionaire at some point though lol I guess I should reserve my sympathy there. I just can’t help but feel like if her parents cared more and she wasn’t on a reality show, the kid would have some type of chance of emotional stability. Ugh, I hate myself for that glimmer of sympathy for a Kardashian (jenner but still).
Kylie should show how the make up ” magic” is done with her lips. Give the thin lipped girls some hope….HA! Thats NEVER going to happen. Like when Kim had her fat ass x rayed for a tv show, to prove she didnt have implants. She neglected to say “Ive had fat injections” Not natural, but natural. So in her mind, she was telling the truth.
Kylie is becoming an accomplished liar. Its a family trait.

Why do celebrities seem to think that people are so stupid?? Kylie had the tiniest lips in the family, now suddenly those suckers have exploded. The people that believe her when she says it’s just makeup must be blind.

Nope! Sorry. I don’t buy it. Anyone can google search her before and after pictures and see that her features are COMPLETELY different. I’m not knocking her for getting her lips done because homegirl was extremely homely and had no lips whatsoever, but her eyebrows are also about 3 inches higher than they were before and her most recent Instagram shot shows her breasts being about 3 – 4 times larger than they were a few months ago. Sadly, I think it’ll only be a matter of time before this kid has a sex tape out, probably after she turns 18. She started messing with her face and what happened? Cosmo gave her their cover. She is clearly looking for that attention and if she continues to get it by messing with her face and over-sexualizing herself, she is going to continue to do so as we have already seen since the more attention she gets the more her lips grow and now apparently her breasts as well. Kylie is the new Kim in a lot of ways – no talent so she is going to sell herself.
Wasn’t there a kuwtk season premier clip that showed Kylie freaking out after having surgery (presumably breast augmentation) but then they never actually showed that in the season? Or am I imagining things?!
