For the better part of 2014, there were rumors that Kristen Stewart and her BFF Alicia Cargile had made the transition from friendship to something more. I tended to believe the rumors, just because Alicia and K-Stew just seemed to be spending SO MUCH time together, and there was just a vibe of comfort and familiarity in their body language. Kristen and Alicia flew to Hawaii together after Christmas to bring in the New Year at the beach – there were photos of them which were just released a few days ago. Go here to see. The body language is friendly, loving, affectionate. They very much look like girlfriends/lovers.
So, what’s the big deal? There isn’t one, really. If Kristen was consciously trying to ease Alicia into her public life gradually, so that even the confirmation of their dating was barely a tabloid blip, then Kristen pulled it off really well. It doesn’t seem to me like “Kristen Stewart has a girlfriend now” is even some major tabloid story. Kristen’s fans and foes are mostly like “Oh, she’s got a girlfriend? God bless.” So how close are they?

“They are inseparable and mimic each other’s everything,” a friend of the Twilight actress tells RadarOnline.com exclusively regarding their matching right-arm tattoos of arrows pointing in the same direction.
In photographs taken this past week while vacationing in Hawaii together, Stewart, 24, and Cargile are seen holding hands and acting extremely affectionate with each other.
“When Kristen and Alicia were in Hawaii for New Years, I am sure that they thought no one was going to see them,” the insider says. “But they are not exactly nonchalant about their relationship anymore.”
After Stewart got caught cheating on boyfriend Robert Pattinson, 28, in 2012 with her married Snow White director Rupert Sanders, 43, the friend tells Radar that “she just doesn’t care what people think anymore.”
“Kristen is happy and she is just being herself. She doesn’t need to worry about where her next role is going to come from nowadays because she has proven herself as an actress,” the source adds.
I would be curious to hear how Kristen self-identifies these days, whether she’s calling herself gay or bisexual or whether she simply doesn’t believe in labels. I think that’s probably the catch for a lot of Twihards: if Kristen is with a woman now, does that “prove” that her relationship with Robert Pattinson was always a sham, always doomed, always some PR ploy? For what it’s worth, I don’t believe that. I think she loved Rob and he broke her heart. I think Rob loved her and she broke his heart. I think she was really and truly banging Rupert Sanders too. I think Kristen got majorly burned by the whole Rob-Rupert thing and she spent some time alone at first, and then she quietly got with Alicia. Eh. God bless!

I doubt Hoult was ever interested. I HATE that people are trying to shoehorn her into a sexuality. Not everyone is, but I’ve seem so many comments and posts on other sites where they’re wondering if she’s bi or lesbian or what. I think she’s pulled this off well, not every celeb has to officially come out and label themselves as a certain sexuality. For all we know, she’s just having fun with a girl.

I don’t know if things with RPatz started as a contract, but I think they kept up appearances because the Twilight franchise was such a mess. It was the only thing selling the cheap a$$ special effects and horrible acting.

I think they are definitely friends. He was at her birthday party back in 2013, before she broke up with Rob. He’s friends (former hookup?) with Riley Keough, one of Kristen’s BFFs. They hung out a lot while off the Equals set, which is cool because they were overseas. And then hung out in NYC afterwards when she was promoting two films this past fall. They both seem like chill people, so it’s good they are friends, especially in their industry. I am very excited for Equals, because they seemed to have great chemistry (obviously just friendly) when they had the press conference for the movie.
She and Hoult were a “thing” the way Ellen Page and Alexander Skarsgard were a “thing”.

I have a teenager and know several twentysomethings. They don’t dress like this. You can wear shirts, jeans & beanies and look clean. If you look at her jeans in one of the pictures, it looks like it has stuff smeared all over it.
I think I’ve seen some variation of those outfits, but the people wearing them usually look pretty clean.
I don’t understand when people say Kristen, Alicia or even Robert look dirty and smelly in pap pics. Yes, both Kristen and Robert smoke heavily but I personally know heavy smokers who don’t reek of stale ciggies. In these photos, their clothes and hair look clean. Kristen has a bare, makeup-free face which looks fresh and clean, not greasy. Saying they look like they smell dirty is just plain mean and rude!

I mix with homeless people and mental health clients all day long. Many are heavy smokers. Yes, most do smell. They don’t have a closet of clothes waiting for them so their clothes get stinky as they don’t trot to their basement to do a load of laundry. And yes, the smell of cigarettes hangs on heavy smokers, homeless or housed. When you don’t have steady access (or are unwilling) to showers and clean clothes, you smell. I doubt she smells like BO, but I bet she smells of cigarettes.

Anyway, I was wearing a flannel under a polartec fleece, which was under a thick sweater under a long wool coat. I had polartec fleece pants over my corduroys and uggs with thick wool socks. I also had on the most idiotic fleece-lined wool cap with earflaps.
I can honestly say that I didn’t give two f-cks about what anyone thought about me, so put me in the Too Old To Care category.

the only possibilities for women are either dressing like an underage homeless boy (like Kristen), or wearing ’50s dresses with large skirts and polka dots (like Betty Draper) or wearing a size 0 and showing you cleavage (traditional female clothes)? If she wants to dress like a man, which I most often than not do, she could at least dress like one who bathes regularly!
I love that like it or not, she’s a high-profile actress who doesn’t seem to dress for the paps. I’ll take dirty tomboy ANY day over these try-hard girlie-girls who act like they’re on the runway walking home from the gym! It’s not real. Plus, clean tomboy is my favoritist style so I may be biased. And I’m a middle-aged chick.

I’ve worked around actors and if they have just gotten off a major project there is a big “Let down” thing going on- not bathing, less primping, preening etc, and eating normally or maybe more sloppily. Many times I have run to the grocery store after two hours of gardening – old, torn clothes, clogs, sweaty, no makeup and thanked goodness that nobody’s following me around with a camera. Of course, that’s when I usually run into somebody I used to date.
I know K is older but I dressed like this in high school to college in the 90s & part of it was actually a “f you saying I need to look pretty to others”. I was into not being sexualized by others & choosing who got to see my boobs, etc. The boys I dated would always be shocked when I took off the huge flannel & actually had boobs. I liked that they wanted to date me before finding out I had a rockin body (I was 17-24 so it was easy then). I kinda applaud her for it since she has been sexualized due to her profession. I’m older now so i don’t dress like that anymore but I have to say I miss the days I’d roll out of bed, put on my baseball hat & not give a sh$&.

I think she was pretty upset last summer after they broke up. She looked tired and gaunt. She knew she effed up big time and was probably then hopeful they could work through it, only to be heartbroken by finally having it end. I am glad they both seem so happy and have moved on.
Kristen hasn’t come out, so looking at pictures of what seems to have been private moments on a secluded beach and speculating about her sexuality just makes me feel a little icky. Having a same-sex partner is no big deal, and good for her if she’s happy, but attempting to out someone without their consent just isn’t cool in my book.

This is NOT exclusive to Kristen- but 99% of the time when celebs are clear cut snapped walking along the beach or in the water, its not a coincidence.
There are celebs who definitely court the paparazzi–and I’m not saying Kristen is above it–but she has always shied away from being photographed being affectionate. Most of the shots of her holding Rob’s hand and the entire mess with Rupert Sanders was done without her knowledge. I just don’t think she would’ve been holding Alicia’s hand or nuzzling her neck if she knew there were cameras.
Unless she was ready to ease out of the closet and saw the opportunity. She’s been easing out now for almost a year. She was just recently pictured, knowing full well she was being photographed, with her hand on Alicia’s neck. She’s ready. Alicia is her girlfriend and she’s ready for us all to know for sure. Rob’s not hiding his, why should she hide hers? It’s time both of them just stop hiding. They did it for too long and I think in the end that damaged them both.

I guess I should have been more clear. By all accounts, Kristen and Alicia thought they were on an isolated beach and weren’t aware the photos were taken. That is what I have a problem with–the fact that we are now calling Alicia her girlfriend and discussing her sexuality because of pics that are intrusive and probably shouldn’t have been published in the first place. If they were walking down the street holding hands or kissing, I’d be all for discussing the pics, but that’s not what this is.

I always thought Kristin was at that finding-yourself stage when she got with Rob. I think there was alot of pressure for her to be this cutesy hetero girl and she did what she could to fit in.
She and this girl look good together. She actually looks happy. Good for her for finally living on her own terms.
I think they had a lot in common regarding privacy, interests and probably shared a bond that was unique to them and their situation. I think some circumstances can make you bond with and love someone in a non-passionate manner.

Agreed. Rob and FKA Twigs are adorable together – you can tell he loves being with her and vice versa. He seems like such a sweet guy and it’s cute to see him so happy because he and Kristen definitely weren’t as a couple. Same for her.
I just cannot stand Kristen. she’s a terrible actress. As a person she’s so grumpy, miserable, never smiles. She cheats on Rob with a married man and in turn causes his marriage to completely crumble –and the whole time, I don’t think she really cared about her actions. She didn’t seem to even think about what any of this would do to anyone if they found out. Her attitude of “not caring” is so disgusting.

From what the ex-wife said, the marriage was dead. They were like brother and sister, good friends co-parenting. It’s unfair to blame one person for destroying a marriage when it was clear that Sanders and Ross were that typical married couple who obviously weren’t romantic partners anymore but couldn’t end for the sake of kids and the longevity of the relationship.
In the end, it was for the best. He should not have cheated and neither should Stewart but it happened. At least it made them face the music and end the marriage so they could move on and be truly happy.

You can’t live like brother and sister forever, Sanders gave up but in the wrong way. Ross said afterwards they lost their real connection. I think their relationship was very human and normal, shit happens, they moved on.

I’m more amazed at the whole, just changed my clothes from the beach and now I’m heading to the airport thing…I couldn’t get on a plane without showering and changing first after time at the beach. They are obviously wayyyyy more laid back than I am.
I can totally believe she had no idea the pictures were being taken. Hawai’i beaches are crowded and chaotic with wedding parties taking pictures randomly at the beaches, resorts and rental homes fronting the beach, family portraits being taken, lots of amateur photographers set up. Totally easy to not spot the pap. But even if she knew she was being photographed, so what? She’s smiling and happy, something she’s always under fire for lacking.

It makes me laugh when the media keeps referring to Alicia as Kristen’s BFF when its obvious they’re dating, but I also understand why. Kristen hasn’t officially come out and I think they’re just trying to respect that.
For what its worth, I don’t think she’s a lesbian, but bi. I do think she and Rob were a couple. They never really shoved it in people’s faces and were pretty low key. Which doesn’t sound like PR to me. Plus, she dated some guy named Michael Angaro (the spelling is totally wrong) for like 3 years before she got Twilight.
