In case you have no idea who this is, her name is Scheana Marie, or Scheana Shay now. I first learned her name at the very beginning of Eddie Cibrian’s affair with LeAnn Rimes, back in… 2009. Scheana Marie dated John Mayer for a hot second, and then it was revealed (by Scheana herself, pretty much) that she had been fooling around with Eddie Cibrian when he was married to Brandi Glanville AND having an affair with LeAnn Rimes. Once Brandi dumped Eddie, word was that Eddie was still seeing Scheana Marie and LeAnn at the same time. Now Scheana Marie is one of the reality stars on Vanderpump Rules, Lisa Vanderpump’s Real Housewives spinoff show about the restaurant Lisa and her husband own in Beverly Hills. Scheana Marie still makes headlines for fighting with Brandi after all these years.
So, after that introduction, why should any of us even care? I know, I know. But I started to look at these photos last night and I couldn’t help myself. Scheana Marie married a dude named Michael Shay last July, and the “wedding episode” of Vanderpump Rules just aired this week, I guess. So we’ve got a lot newly-released wedding photos courtesy of Bravo’s Twitter and Scheana Marie’s Twitter. And we need to discuss her wedding gown. Or should I say… her wedding two-piece. Because chica wore a pearl-covered crop top to her wedding. Or is it a bandeau wedding bra?!
Scheana Marie wore a custom pearl crop top and matching mermaid skirt for her July 27 nuptials at the Hummingbird Nest Ranch in Santa Susana, Calif., designed by her aunt Dimitrianne Wood.
“Her dress, without a doubt, was uniquely Scheana,” her wedding planner Danielle Rothweiler told The Knot of her custom look. “She had no desire to be in a traditional wedding gown, and instead opted for a crop top gown. The gown was actually made by her aunt and it included removable straps. She kept the straps down for the ceremony and then pulled them up for the reception so that she could have fun without pulling her top up all night.”
KLASSY. I mean, I do feel like every bride should wear whatever they want. It’s their day, and if they want to wear a pearl-covered crop top, God bless. But I’m judging. I don’t even feel guilty about it.

Word! She is miles above both Brandi and SheMann. She is a waitress at Sur and she’s cut a couple singles but they didn’t make the charts. She’s harmless and actually one of the nicer young women in that horrible gaggle that is the Vanderpump Rules cast. At least she can chalk up her mistake re Eddie, to being young and beleiving his lies – he did tell her he was separated and getting divorced. She apologized to Brandi and it was genuine. Scheana moved on. The other two – well…you know.

Not going to lie – it’s not as bad as I was expecting when the words crop top and fancy wedding are used together. Not my thing, but if the bride likes her dress, that’s the main thing, right?

The dress didn’t look as awful as it sounds, except that the way it was squeezed in the back gave her a big line of back fat squeezing out that you could see when she was standing at the altar. She is a very small young woman, and I don’t think it was flattering for her figure (plus she kept pulling the top up during the ceremony). Along with her worsening bridezilla attitude, it really made for an unpleasant event.
I loved how the dress (two piece?) moved on the show. She looked beautiful and it suits her personality. I wouldn’t wear it, but for her, it worked.
I agree, it doesn’t look bad. Not my thing, but I don’t think I’d call it trashy. Aren’t some Indian wedding garb (I don’t know what to call it) like this (with or without a Sari/shawl thing).
If I had not awakened in the middle of the night unable to sleep and began fishing around for something to watch, I would never have seen the first part of this episode.
After that disclaimer, I have to say that I have never in my life seen a more selfish, more self-involved, more narcissistic, inconsiderate BRAT. She’s easily the winner of any and all Bridezilla contests.
Had that dress been one-piece, it might have been the most beautiful wedding dress ever, but, instead, Ms. White Trash made that beautiful gown look trashy by turning it into a crop top and skirt. It was, however, a perfect complement to her matching behavior.

Leann just doesn’t have an identity of her own. Scheana’s wedding episode aired this week? Now it makes sense why Leann has been having the Valentine’sfest and jollynotefest on instagram and twitter.
Really? Christmas Eve was 2 months ago. There is no way Leann saw Scheana’s outfit 2 months prior. Remember, Scheana’s wedding came AFTER Leann wore a bikini top and skirt (which Leann has worn a few times before, anyway). She tries to be Queen B on Vanderpump rules but has the personality of paint drying and isn’t witty. Her wedding epi just confirmed to me how close her and Lisa actually are despite Lisa saying she is “just” an employee. I’ve been to a couple weddings at that location, and it is gorgeous. Her wedding dress…not so much.

I have watched this show. I think the dress is fine for her and she wears what she likes and doesn’t apologize for it. She seems somewhat self-centered on the show, but not nearly as bad as most of them. It’s a joke in the reality world that they call her Scheana almost famous, because she admittedly wants to be famous. I think she was in her low 20’s when she met Eddie. At that age I would probably believe what he told me (he was quite attractive) and since he had excuses to take her places in public she probably fooled herself into believing him. She is what she is and doesn’t pretend not to be. This is much better than a lot of people in that area who have dreams of being a celebrity. She ended up marrying a high school boyfriend who seems to adore her. I wish her well.

i cringed when i heard “crop top”, but it really isn’t too bad. the dress is like a strapless with a 1.5-2 inch display high on her midriff. it’s like some of the award dresses i’ve seen, sexy but not over the top. Sure it can be considered too much for a wedding dress, but scheanna likes those tight sexy dresses and admittedly i watch the show and like her. (didn’t know she was tied to brandy/cibrian/leanne though.)
And have you seen some of the slutty wedding dresses out there? Scheanna’s is demure compared to those. Google it, some are cheap slutty dresses (boob display, corset see through, etc) and also some slutty ones are expensive designer ones and really baad. yikes!
