New York Fashion Week has begun. We know this because it’s not a Fashion Week until the Kardashian-West Klan embarrasses themselves. Last night was the big runway show for Kanye West’s collaboration with Adidas. I glanced through the runway shots and let me tell you… he is not breaking any new ground. He put pantyhose on models’ heads and called it fashion. He “designed” some stuff that looked like Target’s uniboob sports bras. I’m pretty sure one model wore an old bulletproof vest. There were a lot of full-body onesies in beige and white, all of which looked like full-body condoms.
But… all of Kanye’s peeps did come out to support him. Beyonce and Jay-Z were there. Rihanna was there. Puffy was there. Anna Wintour was there (and boy, she did not look amused). And of course Kim Kardashian and little North West were there. So I’m giving you lots of shots of the audience so you don’t have to look at the clothes. Oh, and I’m pretty sure Kanye dressed up his dolls (Kim, North) in these YEEZY X Adidas clothes.
Speaking of, you know how we were discussing North West’s fur coat yesterday? Page Six says that the fur is real and likely crystal fox fur, and the baby’s size coat would probably cost about $3500. Page Six also spoke to Kim’s publicist, who said the coat was a gift.

Because it is her Dad’s fashion show. Victoria Beckham brings her daughter to hers. I just think North is in a horrible phase.

Kim brought North to several other fashion shows in Paris. It’s because she’s an idiot.
But maybe they shouldn’t take her if it is late. She doesn’t know what is going on and there is really no reason for either Kim OR Victoria Beckham to take their daughters to the shows.
No they took North mainly to copy the Beckhams. The only thing different is Harper didn’t throw a fit. And who can blame the kid after looking at those ugly clothes. But she is a toddler. I mean at twi my idea of fashion was putting my potty on my head and running around screaming. Well it actually is something like Kanye’s outfits on his show but prettier and classier.
What I wanted to say is: I think it is selfish. She uses her kid as a fashion prop. She is still too little to behave or enjoy the show so why bother her and other guests?
I wouldn’t bring my kid to a fashion show. Especially when they’re that little. There’s nothing to stimulate them. If she was going to bring her to a premiere of ANYTHING, I’d rather it be a kid’s movie–something that she can actually get into. Most kids I know don’t want to sit down an do nothing.

A fashion show is an adult event. It’s no place for a child. It’s not fair to the child or to the other adults around you, regardless of whether or not the child behaves. People in our society have no respect for anything but their own wishes and desires anymore. And, as JLo is one of the dumbest celebrities on the planet, I agree that this doesn’t make her an idiot. She was already an idiot.
But I’m in total agreement that we can both have opposing opinions and still be ok together. I like and respect that very much about you.
Isn’t there usually loud music at fashion shows as well? I’ve only been to local shows and even then I wish I had brought ear plugs.

I feel for Kim. I felt utterly humiliated when my kid had a meltdown at a family restaurant. Your child having a shit fit next to Anna freaking Wintour during Fashion Week with 600 cameras documenting the whole thing? Sweet baby Jesus. I get palpitations thinking about it. Then again, I wouldn’t be obnoxious enough to my child or the other adults around me to put my kid in such an adult setting.
A lot of designers with kids (even toddlers) bring the to shows. And Nori wasn’t having a temper tantrum the whole time, most of the time she seems relaxed and really happy. Kim posted a few pics of her running around and there’s some pics floating around social media of her laughing with Kanye too.

She apologized for North. According to Kris Jenner, the tantrum happened before the show started and North was taken behind stage.

The lies she tells. First off fashion bloggers and others who were at the show were tweeting during the show about North crying . Secondly In the pictuers of North crying the people in the background are looking toward the stage and in some photos of Kim getting up you can see the models walking.

And of course that was carefully calculated to show that PMK is “BFFs” with Wintour and Beyonce. PMK is so well connected with the “best” people, you know (people who in actuality would step over her if she were lying in the road).
I think it’s ridiculous too. Who cares if other celebrities bring their young kids to their fashion shows? In real life, people aren’t bringing their children to their important board meetings or presentations, or when they make deals with other businesses etc. I think they bring North for show. Well athletes bring their babies and toddlers to their games all the time, sometimes even when they’re just a few weeks old so it’s really not all that strange for these people.
Kind of off topic but I’m not a fan of Nori being referred to as “it” being people in the industry when they were talking about her. It came across as extremely rude and disrespectful. They never called Harper Beckham “it”

the age of like 15 months to 2.5 is the absolute worse time to have kids. They are mobile yet they are still babies so they are into everything and have no clue the dangers of the stuff they get into. I have a 3 year old she knows now not stick her head in a toilet or pick up cat poop. It gets so much easier
My daughter hit the “terrible twos” at 18 months, and she was there for quite a while. She has been doing much better after graduating high school last summer!! 😉
Agree. My daughter is in that range. I had the bad idea to take a flight from Europe to US. She slept for a while but then she wanted her daddy to walk her around. For hours. The other passengers were absolutely pissed off. But you know, the alternative was having her crying the whole time. A nice lady from Germany told me I cannot raise my children…I was so ashamed..
Because they are idiots. I saw the most disturbing picture on Pink is the New Blog. Kim was taking North out of there and she was not holding the baby close to her to comfort her, she was holding the baby away from her. North was just hanging out there in midair. It was an awful picture and made me so sad for North. In one picture I saw North had her hand over her ear. I’m sure the music was too loud. If they had to bring her they could have at least put plugs in her ears. I’ve seen many musician parents do that for their kids at their concerts.
What you really have to LOVE is that Kylie Jenner’s ‘runway’ debut (she was in this sh*t show modelling some body condom or some such) is totally thwarted by a toddler’s whinging. Bless poor Kylie but she really is the Jan Brady of the Kardashian-Jenners!

Nah. Lips 1-2 mm thicker or cheeks a bit fuller/less full are not major changes. What I see is a minor nose job (she had a nice nose to begin with) some years ago and fillers/botox from time to time. I am nowhere near a Kardashian fan but the hate here seems a bit unrational. With or without her PS, her face is still a lot prettier than 90% of all womens’ faces.
I’ll agree the hate here may be a bit irrational, although I admit I’m part of that because her ego really gets under my skin. I disagree that Kim’s constantly changing face is the result of minor procedures. If you look at pictures of her from 2006, she has changed her face drastically with nose jobs (yes, plural), as well as laser hair removal. Pictures of her as a teenager show yet another different face where she had a nose very much like her brother Rob’s and her dad’s. Yeah you know… I have pictures in which my nose looks bigger, others in which it looks smaller. Same goes for my boobs, eyes, well pretty much everything. Lighting, clothes, the way you smile, tilt your head, hold you body, pose,… does SO much.

Babies don’t belong at fashion shows and my own daughter would not have lasted five minutes at that age. Still, I really think this child has a very tenuous bond to her parents. The nanny might have known how to keep her entertained instead of expecting her to just sit there like a doll.
I never brought my Lil one to loud late night events. It’s torture for a restless toddler to be confined to a seat in a cold stadium full of strangers. Plus we all need adult time and I’d say fashion show is the yang to the yin if s nursery- total opposite to a nurturing environment

I read some AMAZING tweets this morning, one of them was “I’m no fashion guru but I feel like Kanye is the 2015 version of “The Emperor’s new clothes.” It is literally as if Kanye spends so much time praising himself that people just mindlessly fall in line and start praising him as well. These clothes were awful, no one wants to look homeless, especially not for the prices he’ll surely be charging. How was any of this original anyway? Bomber jackets? Book bags? Wave caps? Has anyone else seen the videofootage of the show? It looked sooooo uncomfortable for everyone, the models, the audience. Models were standing completely still for I don’t know how long. People didn’t know where or how to look.
Was Vanessa Beecroft involved? That show sounds like a ripoff of Beecroft, an Italian whose ‘conceptual art’ consists of hiring a bunch of fashion models to stand around for hours on end, some partially dressed, some completely nude, while art patrons stare at them. (Apparently the concept her ‘art’ is exploring is that people really like to stare at attractive women wearing high heels and little else.)

Or when Kim backed up Kanye once again by posting a picture of herself, John Legend and Chrissy Teigen making faces and captioned it “our reaction to Beck winning that award” – which led to John Legend clarifying that he didn’t agree with Kanye or Kim and didn’t want to be part of the joke she made? Or this event, where she willingly wore that ugly get up and stood there beaming and clapping for her husband when he came out at the end of the show?

i think if the child is easily irritable, or doesn’t do well in crowds she shouldn’t be taken to such things. not all children are like Baby Beckham, or Blue Ivy, or Prince George or Princess Estelle. i see it in my kids also.
my first kid was so happy being able to interact with anyone and anything, i made the sophomore parent mistake. my second is very very shy and has a very short fuse. when my third came along, we really gauged the baby’a reaction to stuff and learned boundaries. so, the middle child usually stayed at home for stuff that the other two are able to handle much easier at the same age. thankfully once they get older and be better communicators, it’s easier.
This exactly. Why aren’t they paying attention to their kid’s reaction to the atmospheres that they bring her into? Almost all paparazzi shots show the kid crying, looking confused, or just flat out uncomfortable. This is the second time Kim brought North to a fashion show and both times, North flipped out and screamed and cried. Shouldn’t that be enough for a parent to say to themselves “she does not like this, so I won’t force this on her again.” We all say stuff about “poor Nori” jokingly, but they’re really pushing it with potentially traumatizing this child. They truly show no signs of caring about her feelings, it’s as if they don’t understand that she is a child and not an accessory for them to dress in ridiculous clothing and cart around to try to show how fashion-forward they are.
The clothes are bad and it doesn’t matter. They played it smart and got as many people there who promote it just by attending . I think the young demographic Kanye is appealing to is more about image than anything else. I’m sure everyone there knows Kanye’s clothes are awful —except Kanye.

I agree with Ennie about Kanye being scared of critics. Kanye really puzzles me because along with displaying actual textbook symptoms of mental illness, he also acts extremely insecure but at the same time his ego is so enormous. Very strange.

My first thought was why would you not bring a few toys or something for North to play with or to distract her. That’s what I would do with my son when we would go to my older kids’ soccer games. I would bring things to distract him if he got fussy. I guess that would be too normal and take away from their outfits! I think Beyonce objected to sitting next to Kim, not necessarily North. Even after North was removed from the front row by a nanny, Beyonce still did her best to keep her back/side to Kim.
It’s so obvious that Beyonce and Jay-Z don’t like Kim. Jay and Kanye are obviously friends but you never see him or Beyonce engaging in conversation with Kim at all. Same with Chrissy Teigen – John Legend and Kanye are friends and Chrissy and Kanye are friends too but it’s like everyone just tolerates Kim. She even looks nervous around them. Whether she is famous or not, when you’re married to someone you should be able to at least talk to their friends, especially when you’re sitting right next to them. John Legend and Chrissy Teigen both recently posted a picture on Instagram of the 4 of them at a waffle house and in both of their pictures, Kim is barely even in the frame. Her personality must be even more insufferable to people who are actually around her.

Just went to DM to look at the pictures of the “clothes”. I thought Addidas made clothes to work out in or things like warmup suits and some jackets that were more sporty. Who in the heck will wear what he “designed” (not buying it that he designed them but merely approved of the designs). And Kim’s outfit (also one of his creations) is just horrible. Even some of the models have WTF faces on.

Yes, Kim seems so inexperienced. She just tries to hold the kid down, here and in pics elsewhere, and you know how well that works…. She doesn’t have any soothing strategies to use. If she had spent enough time with Nori, actually taking care of her rather than just texting in the same room, she would have first of all known to have a quick getaway plan in place as soon as the kiddo got noisy. She also would have been able to pick up on signals of the coming storm, although admittedly toddlers can change from sunny to screaming in an instant. And she certainly would have brought something more than a shoe to keep the tot occupied. Hopefully Kim will just stop dragging the kid along, that will solve the problem for both of them.

A few observations: Kanye’s display of nepotism in putting Kylie in his show was pointless because that girl is no model, even with her new face. Kim should take a cue from Jay-Z and Beyonce and opt to leave her kid at home instead of bringing her into atmospheres like this. I saw people saying they brought North because it was her father’s show, but she is too young to remember or even understand what’s happening. The Kardashian camp can make whatever claims they want about Beyonce and Anna Wintour being “patient” with North, but body language does not lie and they both looked annoyed when North was flipping out-probably because they both thought she didn’t belong there in the first place.

Kylie made her runway debut in Kanye’s show. Yet this family thinks their connections aren’t what get them places. I don’t know what to say about Kanye’s collection. Looks like something people in the Hunger Games would wear. The brown leggings are not flattering on anyone. Some of the tops seem ok. None of those clothes are worth their price tags though.

Kanye’s ‘art’ is garbage. Even Bey is looking at Kim like “WTF did he make you wear now?!” The faces they make at Kim struggling to handle her own baby is priceless.
The faces on the group watching the show say it all. They can’t believe they are sitting there looking at that crap, I’m thinking.

Can we all agree that these two are delusional egomaniacs/terrible parents and need to be ignored from this day forth. North has my utmost sympathy. I hope she is getting love and cuddles from her nanny.

You know, little people have tantrums. They can be having the best time and then with the flick of a switch, total meltdown. I hate it when it happens with my daughter because I don’t want people to judge her and think she is naughty or a brat, when she is just a toddler. I wouldn’t dream of taking her to an event like that though – she is pretty god but eventually she would just want to wander around and play unless it started within 5 minutes of us getting there.
That said, I found the reactions of the parents sitting either side of Kim, who are apparently her friends, pretty telling. Beyoncé appeared to totally ignore the entire situation. You would think she would offer to help or something, but her reaction was like when her sister beat up her husband in the lift. Indifference. Anna looked the other way. Jay-Z – nothing. And these are friends……..

Maybe North cries because she doesn’t know who that woman is with the big boobs or the guy who never laughs.
There were pics of North having fun running around before everyone got there. I bet she got tired and then the music and lights were too much for her. They should have just let her run around backstage somewhere with the nanny instead of going for the photo op.
Have to love how mid tantrum, both Beyonce and Anna W paid zero attention to Kim and the baby. Most people who you are friendly with would try to engage with the kid or at least by sympathetic to the parent. Nope, not those to.
Lastly, I love that Kanye’s big fashion moment was totally upstaged by his kid.
I know it’s super embarrassing when a child in your care misbehaves in public, and usually I feel for parents/caregivers who have to endure that. But, fashion shows are no place for babies and toddlers. The music is way too loud, the lights are bad for their eyes, and there’s nothing to stimulate them.
Some kids do okay there as we’ve seen, but that doesn’t mean it’s an appropriate place for them. This is also not new behaviour for Nori; it seems like she cries regularly at these events, possibly because they hurt her ears or eyes or because it’s often late at night. Kim needs to stop bringing her. There’s nothing there for her there and she disrupts the people trying to work. Poor Nori is just a baby and doesn’t need to be in a place where her crying can cause problems and she has nothing to do.
