Stephen Amell seems like an overdramatic d**k. And way to use his daughter as an excuse for his behavior.

    • BadAssCompass says:

he went a bit overboard on purpose bc he’s building this image of a superhero-dad so I think it was part to entertain fans and part to express his dislike of certain kind of celebrities.
Arrow is my guilty pleasure but Amell turned out a pleasant surprise being very tuned to his fanbase on facebooks, dedicated to his work, organizing these cool charity campaings etc.

Ok, I’m over George R. His gimmick of killing/raping/murdering everyone is over. Still mad about him saying Gandalf should have stayed dead. That tells me someone wasn’t reading into Tolkein’s meaning with that one.

    • Leona says:

Please. I’m sure GRRM gets Tolkiens symbolism. But then isnt LoTR just a series of the same allegory over and over again through the book. Its not like Gandalf is the only Christ figure in the story. Maybe it would have made for a more interesting plot if their adventure had been complicated by Gandalf leaving the story. It certainly would have been a more challenging story (in a great way) taking into account Tolkiens religious bent. “What do you do when He deserts you”?

I’m over Martin as well. At this point I’m just glad to have the TV series for 3 more seasons and be over with it. Maybe one day I’d check the original material on GoT pedia. That is if I (or him, mainly him) lives long enough to see that.

In other news, Riri is gorgeous as usual. Sublime.

    • Seán says:

Wow, there’s a lot of Martin hate! Believe me, I’m frustrated that it takes him so long to write the books but I find the “Hopefully he doesn’t die/eat himself to death” concern trolling annoying and really disrespectful. The dude needs a metaphorical kick up the behind for all his procrastination but fans need to calm down and get a life over a couple of books. It’s his vision after all and it will be done when it’s done.

As for the murder and rape, there’s an argument for sensationalism (the show is definitely guilty of this, angrily looking at the Jaime/Cersei rape scene in Season 4) with taboo content but I do believe that Martin is just trying to depict a gritty, violent war-torn world. And sadly rape, backstabbing and brutality is commonplace during these times.

I also agree with Leona regarding Gandalf. I get the symbolism behind Gandalf’s death but I feel that bringing dead characters back to life cheapens the stakes of the story. I’m glad Martin leaves characters dead (for the most part).

Book readers are going to be mad because Arianne, Quentyn, Victarion, Euron, Aeron, Jeyne and the Griffs are all absent from Season 5 so no surprises there! I’m not worried about characters dying. Martin says this every year like a major character alive in the books will be killed off when it’s generally just minor or secondary characters.

Does anyone know what Rihanna’s coat is made of? Very pretty……….

  4. mimif says:

    Pink bathrobe.

  5. roxy750 says:

She is just beautiful, always will be.

  6. MCraw says:

My goodness, she’s flawless. That makeup is impeccable. Is that a fur bath robe?

  7. TX says:

She’s always been lovely but I am really liking her hair/make up recently! Lookin good RiRi!

    • Leona says:

Yes, somethings changed with her makeup. It used to be horribly caked on so that although it looked great from afar, the close up shot showed two inches of makeup between her skin and the world. I wonder what brand she is using now, this looks much more natural.

  8. jen2 says:

Yeah, look at her with that pure attitude. She would eat Leo for breakfast, lunch AND dinner. Gorgeous young and confident woman.

  9. ashley says:

She’s so gorgeous! Wow! Lately, she’s just extra glowy and really happy, good for her. The fendi bag that she designed for charity, has half a million bid on it,that’s great!

    • Antonym says:

I’ve had this weird feeling that she’s pregnant lately. I have no real reason to think so & avoid bump watch, so it’s not that. I don’t know, she just seems different lately. Crazy, I know

  10. oneshot says:

She’s gorgeous, and one of the few 20something celebrities who actually has a sense of how to wear clothes beyond “wear expensive stuff and end up on the cover of Vogue for looking like a blond Kardashian”.

I mean, you would never see this kind of freewheeling-but-astute approach to dressing from, say, Blake Lively. I even loved that massive pink poof she wore to the Grammys, say what you will about her but the woman has STYLE.

    • Otaku fairy says:

Yes, she looks glamorous here and manages to look good in almost anything. She even looked good while wearing that ugly pink dress, and the color looked good on her. She’s one of the celebrities I consider a modern Hollywood beauty.

  11. Jag says:

She looks great, except for the bathrobe.

  12. Kimberly says:

    She looks great.
But the pink bathrobe is a no no.

  13. I Choose Me says:

She always looks great. She has that certain vibe where even some of the most hideous outfits inexplicably work on her. And that face. Too bad about the insecurities though. It makes her petty and mean sometimes when she doesn’t have to be.

  14. cujokay says:

Great because she looked like a damn clown at the Grammys’ with her poofie pink “thing”.

  15. Rhiley says:

I don’t see it, honestly. I think Rhi Rhi looks maybe a step up from Courtney Love (that is C. Love on a good night), but her body just looks droopy and her face looks tired and her hair looks boring. Totally blah!

  16. AppleOne says:

    Stunning!

  17. JWQ says:

great hair and great make up, and she is really beautiful, but the dress looks weird and floppy, and the robe is terrible.

  18. Rihanna is beautiful here, but the white toenail polish is no!

  19. Jay says:

WOW @ that Tinder story. Chick can’t possibly be a law student, as that requires intelligence, no?
