Rosie Huntington-Whitely led the charge for this group of attendees at the Elle Style Awards. Rosie wore an Anthony Vacarello dress with Jimmy Choo shoes. I’ve warmed to Rosie lately. She stopped trying to be an actress and went back to her strong point, selling clothes. She really works this outfit. Big hair and a leather skirt with a semi-sheer, pleated mullet? No problem. Rosie sells it with a perfectly fierce expression.
I wanted to make Olivia Wilde the headliner for this post, but she clearly isn’t into this event. Olivia’s wearing an H&M Conscious Collection dress, which looks like a threadbare t-shirt with a random, thrift-shop skirt.
Ellie Goulding loves neutral colors, which usually wash her out. This Alberta Ferretti dress with a jacquard overlay is pretty boring, but Ellie still looks good.
Maggie Gyllenhaal wore a salmon colored Roland Mouret dress with Salvatore Ferragamo pumps. The dress isn’t awful, but it could use more tailoring in the top half.
Rebel Wilson won the Rising Star award at this event. I don’t have an ID on this piece, but the red-and-pink clash works surprisingly well.
Pixie Geldof kept things not-so classy with “no hassle” written all over her chest. The black minidress would have been cute without the rack captions.
Calvin Harris is good looking guy, but his jacket looks a size too small.
Lily Cole went with a pepto-bismol, mulleted dress that feels like an afterthought.

Lily Cole is so beautiful, she’s one of my all-time favourite models, she has such an unique face, plus she’s ginger, but god, her dress is awful.

What is Lily Cole doing these days? She was one of the rare big models who looked interesting. Much more interesting than the vanilla pudding that is Rosie.
She finished college and last time I checked she was into ecology big time… as for fashion, no idea. All I know she was a face of the body shop in 2012…
She’s some kind of surprise for me, you know, her face is round and she doesn’t have the bony, angular structure models usually have. By the way, have u seen her naked photo shoots? They’re really artistic and natural.

She hit it big at the same time as Gemma Ward, Sasha Pivovarova, Jessica Stam and Caroline Trentini – the doll face look was all the rage back then (around 2004-6)
Maybe I’m alone with this, but I actully love Olivia’s looks here. And her hair and make-up looks simply fantastic! By the way she wrote on twitter, that she likes this piece very much from the H&M Conscious Collection, that’s why she decided to wear it for the event.

I actually like Olivia’s look too. I don’t know why but it kind of reminded me of something Carrie Bradshaw would have worn on SATC.
Olivia looks great. None of that “oh look I’m not wearing underwear and you can see my bum” BS that’s all over the place these days.

This Rosie chick has one of the prettiest faces I ever seen. She’s one of the few I can compare to Angelina Jolie. Problem is that girl has no personatily, talent or charisma.

I wouldn’t call her ‘pretty’ but she is stunning in that angular, high cheekbony way models often are.
Agree with the rest of your post though. She’s an incredibly boring model. She’s been around for years, attending the opening of an email, and she’s still doing that same open mouthed ‘sexy face’. No charisma or charm at all, I agree. And would it kill her to smile once in a while?
Well, Rosie has an amazing body, but I think it’s try hard. Just come naked next time. Just kidding, but I think mini, and low cut, and sheer and leather add up to a scream I’M SEXY when she really doesn’t need to do that. I’m not trying to say she shouldn’t look sexy, just that something more subtle is sexier to me that something so overt.
I worry a lot about Maggie G.’s hair. It looks like a cheap rug on a used car salesman. Wtf?

Wow! That first photo of Rosie makes me see “I’m a runway model! Look at me!” in her expression for sure. She looks great but that dress is weird. Only someone like her could pull off that look. And how amazing is her body?! Damn! It’s no wonder that she’s really successful selling clothes. I really haven’t seen her act so I’ll have to take Bedhead’s word that it sucks.
This expression, ‘runway model’, has crept up on me, as I was used to ‘catwalk’.
It catches me out every time, reading as ‘RUNAWAY model’ and hints at exciting car-chases and disguises.

Rosie’s dress is total scroll down fug, and it’s a shame because LOOK AT HER FACE. The styling is incredible. Totally nailed the rock star, sex pot look to a T.
I love Olivia’s skirt, but maybe a different top? I like how the T-shirt gives it a casual edge, but I’m not sure if I feel the sheerness of the fabric meshes well.
