Well, it happened. I’m actually surprised that all of those Keeping Up with the Kardashians plot lines were actually leading to something major this season. In a teaser for next week’s episode of KUWTK, Kim Kardashian confirmed her second pregnancy. Kim and Kanye are expecting again, after months (like, a year!) of fertility drama. Allegedly, Kim had undergone at least one surgery (I think she had two or three), plus fertility treatments and maybe even IVF.

You can see Kim tell Khloe “I just got the blood test back, and I am pregnant!” on the KUWTK promo here. I think it’s sort of sweet that Khloe was the first to hear the news, presumably after Kim told Kanye? We’ll have to tune in to find out, which is how they get you.
In any case, congrats to Kim and Kanye. For what it’s worth, I really do think they enjoy being parents and North is flat-out adored. I never believed the tabloid rumors that Kanye was “demanding” a son either – I think Kim and Yeezus will be perfectly happy if they get another girl this time around. My assumption is this announcement is probably coming out as Kim finishes out her first trimester too, but that’s just a guess.

Maybe there still is a surrogate. I only say this because wasn’t Kim doing that waist training corset thing? That seems SO unhealthy for your internal organs. Unless she stopped after a brief period of practicing/promoting it, I feel like it would hinder fertility issues and treatments.

Wearing a really tight (as in circus lady tight) corset for long periods of time *may* effect your fertility although there’s no proof of that but I have several friends who are burlesque performers and others that are goth/steam punk types who wear a regular corset for many hours a day and they all had kids just fine.
Either she’s going to fake her pregnancy like Beyonce while using a surrogate…or…cue the fake miscarriage for ratings and then the surrogate announcement.
@HH .Nope. They would never let someone else carry their child. They would have to monitor everything that the woman ate, saw and said. Yeah, she hated being pregnant but they want a “talented” child. I think they believe that can only happen from her womb.

Doesn’t mean she isn’t using one, frankly. But in any event, the hype about her “fertility problems” was yet another lie by these horrid, horrid people. To pretend to have problems for tv ratings is really disgusting when fertility issues is a real and painful problem for so many people. They really know no bounds at all. I think they are a sickness.

I went through major fertility tests for over one year and nearly died from one of them before my then-husband and I adopted our two-week old daughter.
Agree that the family/producers/whoever are horrid for a contrived storyline over something that is so painful for so many, but congrats to Kim and Kanye…they make beautiful babies.

I doubt she’s having any pillow baby. In a few months her ankles will look like stuffed sausages just like they were with North. I think a surrogate would have been the next step but they can put that option aside now.

A lot of young woman get super heavy during the first pregnancy. It is a license to eat everything formerly forbidden in whatever quantity you please. Usually they smarten up by the second and third child. I know I did, My daughter did, Jessica Simpson did. Perhaps they have gotten the message that you are eating for the health of yourself and unborn baby, not your cravings. Kim may not gain nearly as much as she did the first time.

I don’t think Kim’s problem was weight gain. She probably gained about the regular 25-35 lbs, the rest of the weight was swelling which you can’t do much about except limit salt and exercise. I’m pretty sure she worked out while pregnant, who knows about the salt but water weight during pregnancy can be really normal. That’s why she was so puffy. With my first most of my weight was from swelling and I was amazed at how different my feet and ankles looked after giving birth.
I’m full on cynical and I’m not buying it. Surrogate and prosthetic belly is my guess. We’ll see. She can’t fake the leg and foot swelling that was so obvious in her first pregnancy.
I cannot wait to see prosthetic belly. It will probably fall out while she is on one of her pap strolls.

(Kick me, because) I’ve been reading the DM and they’ve been saying it was announced at the end of the “mid-season finale”, whatever that is. They’ve been constantly reporting her fertility issues, IVF treatments etc, but the timing seems off. It was only a few days days ago that she was saying, “I’m, like, so done” or words to that effect. Could this be a set-up, in that there’ll be a miscarriage, the doctor (if there was one) made a mistake/false positive, it’s a surrogate who’s pregnant, she will actually give birth to a BPB (Beyoncé Pillow Baby™) …? Of course, knowing my track record, I’m probably barking up the completely wrong tree, jumping to conclusions, drawing a v verry long bow and will like.y have yo do backflips in the coming months. Gosh, you’d think I’d be a lot fitter…
That Valley Girlish “I’m like so done” remark shows the BS to me. A very close friend of mine went through a long hard road of IVF, tests, procedures etc. and it took years for her to realize the dream of having a baby (and he’s a cutie). There were times she became frustrated, depressed, envious of others pregnancies, and wondered at times if it would ever really happen. But never once did she say “I’m like so done”.
Nicolette- i think it varies a lot. A friend has struggled with infertility for over 5 years now. She has had periods of giving up and deciding to be done before trying something new.

Kim made all those comments about people being mean about her pregnancy body. Did she really not know the comments were not about her “body,” but the horrible clothes she wore, that made her look like a whale. She is short and built a bit dumpy and she has no clue how to dress, to downplay her bad points. Here’s praying that Kanye doesn’t pick out her maternity wardrobe again. You know he will, though. Even in non-pregnancy clothes, she wears things that do not flatter her figure. Also, her face is beginning to look like a plastic doll.
No Erin, actually most ppl WERE talking about her body. Hanna a few posts above this one even calls her a “whale” in reference to her last pregnancy. Get real. People were disgustingly awful about how much wight she’d put on and how fat she was when she was growing another human being inside her.
What else is going to happen when you are doing such difficult thing? It was really sad and disgraceful. The saddest part was that it wasn’t just men criticizing her body either. Woman were front and center about it. Mothers too.
Insult to injury is that she had gestational diabetes and preeclampsia too, which attributed to why North was a preemie and why she had such a difficult pregnancy.
@Chica, did you see her medical report? Where was it said she had gestational diabetes last time? Also, if she had pre-eclampsia she would have been put on bed rest and not allowed to travel the world the way she did. North was NOT a preemie and she had a difficult pregnancy because she chose to travel the world during her pregnancy and not slow down at all and wore too tight clothes. As soon as my blood pressure even got a bit high with my first pregnancy I was told to stay off my feet as much as possible. I was not allowed to go anywhere that would raise my blood pressure (I couldn’t even go watch my softball team play games while I sat and watched). And most of the comments I saw talked about her fashion during her pregnancy.
I’m so glad and relieved for her. Any form of fertility issues or problems conceiving must be utterly heartbreaking. So, I’m happy for her that it worked out. Wishing her a happy and healthy baby. I also don’t think they care whether it’s a girl or a boy.

You all act like you are expects on women’s infertility issues when it is a case by case basis. The hormones you have to take when you are on fertility drugs also effect ppl differently. Be a cynic, sure, but that doesn’t what you think is truth.

IVF treatment is not a sple solution. Many couples that have tried this methyod sti didn’t get pregnant anf the ones who do have tried more than once…
There is nothing cynical about assuming Kim is telling lies. No one has to be an expert on anything to catch her lying time and again presumably because she believes there are plenty of suckers out there willing to take her lies at face value. She’s a liar, she lies all the time, if she’s lying about this second pregnancy, it will shock no one on this website.

She wasn’t obese, she was pregnant.. Ugh I was prego the same time as her the first time around and swelling like in the heat was miserable.. Also I am short like she is which means even five pounds is a noticable gain. So from all of us” beached whale” pregnant short women can you please STFU while we are busy creating life and stuff.
I am also petite – 5 ft. And yet 5 lbs on us is like 10 lbs on a normal sized person. When Kim says – again and again – that she has to lose 15 lbs, that is the normal person equivalent of 30lbs. That 15lbs takes just as long to remove as 30 lbs of weight on a taller person. It took me almost a year to take off 20 lbs with healthy eating and excercise. If I am not vigilant it comes back.

@TeanAndSympathy: I have never watched their show either, just saw the trailer and everything I know about them, I learned on Celebitchy, too. What I get from CB is – never trust a Kardashian. They open their mouths and what comes out is usually a lie or at least a far stretched version of the truth.
I have to admit, that I watch some Reality TV here and there (Housewives, but it’s ok – I will soon start medicated therapy to stop that 😉 ) and what I learned is, that they give away big spoilers for an upcoming episode. BUT usually there is a twist or an angle of the story that was left out on the trailer and changes the perspective. And that is exactly what I am expecting here to happen. Something like “I got the results of the blood tests. MY SURROGATE IS PREGNANT- so I am pregnant.”
Maybe their ratings are sagging and they’re just having trouble getting people to tune in.
Wow, greenmonster, that’s a perfect description of what I’ve picked up here, too. I think their show is on pay TV here in Australia, and I don’t subscribe, but at one stage, years ago, it was on free-to-air. I’m recovering from major surgery right now, and getting about is rather difficult, so am lazing about, bored as for a lot of the day. I was channel surfing this afternoon and there was a celeb show (Extra, maybe?) and I caught a snippet of Kimmie talking about something or other. Does she always talk like a little girl? It was bizarre – she talks like a child, but looks like a plastic, battery-operated adult doll. Her face is completely frozen and her lips move like a ventriloquist’s dummy’s lips – up and down only, and not much. Later, I caught the afternoon news where they played a minute or so of Mr West giving a talk to university graduates. I’d never heard him speak before. He may not be as loco as he sounded, but he came across as a bit of a dtongo. Geeez, all these meds are turning me into a rambling bloody whinger! I’ll stop ranting now and go to my warm bed, as its 1°C here tonight. Brrr.

Yeah something does not make sense. She was just interviewed where she spoke about hiring a trainer to lose 15 pounds and how she uses a waist trainer (corset) thingy to get a flat stomach. Who would do that if they were pregnant ??? Not to mention she recently went blond. Is she only a few weeks a long or something then? Who makes an announcement so early in their pregnancy? Something does not make sense.
Interesting how the announcement is made before Bruce’s big reveal on Vanity Fair and before he docu-series airs in July. Kim does not like being out of the spotlight for long. There was too much focus on other members of the family. I do wish for Kim to have a safe pregnancy and healthy baby.

Once I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes, I actually stopped gaining weight because of the diet they put you on, and was told per my doctors that it was the norm.
For some reason I suspect that this pregnancywill involve a pillow baby…
I don’t know. Kim said Kanye really wants a boy and if the second child is a girl, they will try for a third. Also, are we supposed to believe she’s been pregnant for the past 3 months? She was using waist trainers and flying everywhere. She even said she had started a new diet and got a new trainer to help her lose 15 pounds. I don’t get it. Are we sure she’s pregnant? Perhaps the “teaser” is misleading. Maybe she thought she was pregnant but it turned out she wasn’t? Or perhaps she miscarried and we’ll find out later in the season?

Not sure how long it takes after filming an episode for it to come to air but it is more than likely more than the few days it’s been since the last article here about her “infertility issues”. It’s an insult to those who really have fertility problems as well trying to make the public think that reality tv is unscripted.
My bro-in-law works in TV (writer/exec. producer), and in ALL the shows he worked on there is a 4-6 wk turn around between filming and air time.
Kim is such a chronic liar, she has to be lying about something. We just have to wait and observe to figure out what. She’s already lied so much about things easily checked, she must think people have the memory of a flea.
If she actually is pregnant, I doubt she will have much control over how her fat distributes, especially since she’s injected fat in her backside. Fat cells do what they want and distribution patterns seem to be genetically programmed. She’s not very tall and there isn’t much further down she could go in calories safely, even if she were so foolish as to be ultra restrictive.
I still am baffled about why she wants another child. Her firstborn prop seems to just irritate her, I don’t see any real affection or bonding between them in the zillion pics she’s been giving us. Just staged photos with Kim sometimes pretending to be lovey and Nori not buying it. The recent pic of Kourtney greeting Nori as Nori reached for her is the natural way toddlers respond to adults close to them and a natural response from the adult, and we never see that level of happiness and comfort between Kim and Nori. There is always someone off camera who is responsible if there is any smile from Nori and Kim seems glum except when faking a smile for the camera. She just doesn’t seem to really enjoy children. When she was holding her niece for the paps, little Penelope was pushing away from her just as Nori so often does.
Does Kim think it will be different with a second child? Does she just not care? Is the second kid just to double child support when Kim and Kanye split? Should I be worried that my autocorrect knows how to correct both Kanye and Kardashian? So many questions.

I don’t think it’s wise to talk about what you think you are seeing in pictures between mother and daughter. While they don’t show Nori’s face in the show, she’s there and spends quite a lot of time with her mom and shows to be into her mother.
The comments assessing what we think we know know in still pictures is baffling. There is video out there of Kim and Nori looking like they have a blast together. She loves her child. And more importantly, her child seems to love her.

That’s not true. I don’t know where people get these ridiculous notions. In just about every photo I’ve seen of them together, Nori is obviously loved and doted on by Kim and Kanye. They’re both looking at her and smiling from ear to ear. They love that kid more than anything and the photos show it. I have not seen one photo where Kim doesn’t look anything but concerned and loving toward her child.

They are filmed in advance, but who knows when this clip was actually filmed. They could have filmed it last week for all we know – it will definitely spark interest for the rest of the season.

Well I have to say I’m surprised. I really thought that whole trying to get pregnant storyline was set up so they could announce that they were going to use a surrogate for the second pregnancy. Kim hated being pregnant so much the first time. I hope she doesn’t try using her waist trainer corset thing while pregnant. That thing isn’t healthy for internal organs when you aren’t pregnant. I don’t think she’s that stupid, but then again…
I hope she dresses in nicer clothes with this pregnancy. So tired of seeing her stuffed into overly tight things that don’t flatter her.
