Octomom really knows how to bring it. Who would ever have thought that some random, puffy, Angelina-wannabe could so epically dominate the news? And she always manages to come up with new drama. It’s insane. Yesterday it came out that back in the day, Nadya Suleman was a stripper. She did the typical Octomom thing where she made a bunch of excuses and tried to minimize it. But you know how that goes with her – eventually the truth comes out, it’s exactly what everyone suspected, yet she tries to lie with some, “oh well that’s what I really meant when I said that,” type of deal.
In the continuing adventures of Octomom, the National Enquirer reports that Mother of the Year Nadya Suleman did some pole dancing before she had 14 kids.
Back when she was 18, Suleman was in an “investigative” stage of her life and thought she’d try out exotic dancing.
“I had not even kissed a boy. But I entered a dance/lingerie contest in a club near my home. I danced and paraded in lingerie,” she told a close pal.
“Then, when I was 19, I went to a gentleman’s club and performed as a topless dancer. But I only did it one night. I quit when I found out I was expected to perform lap dances on the customers.”
That’s totally believable.

Now in about a week we’ll find out that “one night” was really “one year,” and Nadya will come up for some insane rationale that explains how she wasn’t really lying. Like maybe, since she was working during the night she was never actually outside during the night except for one time, and that’s what she meant by one night. Or something. Who the hell knows with her insane logic.
In other Octo-news, Gloria Allred’s daughter, CNN legal correspondent Lisa Bloom, got her mom’s side of the fired nanny debacle. There’s a long explanation about why Gloria got involved, what really went on with the CPS reports, etc. Nothing groundbreaking. Until we get to the interesting little nugget about the nurses Nadya’s going to use from now on. The ones from the hospital that delivered and are currently caring for the babies. And the bill? Well it’ll be passed on to taxpayers. That’s right folks, Nadya was uncomfortable with the free nannies and nurses who generously donated their time, but she thinks she’ll be happier with this group. Who I guess will still be free to her.
Who will care for all these kids now? I asked. How can Suleman possibly change all the diapers, bathe them, talk to them, feed them, and care for her other young kids, including three disabled children?
Mom says: “Nadya has decided to have Kaiser Permanente care for her babies. In other words, she has apparently made a conscious decision to put the burden of her babies care on the taxpayers, since her lawyer has conceded publicly that Kaiser nurses will most likely have to bill Medi-Cal. Further Kaiser nurses and doctors will be silenced and not be permitted to speak publicly about the specifics of the care that Nadya gives or fails to give to her babies.”
Will this cause a public furor comparable to the pitchfork madness of taxpayer-funded AIG bonuses? But wait, Nadya gets free nursing care either way. What’s in this for her?
Mom explains: “This is advantageous to Nadya and her lawyer since the public will only be told their side and will not be able to get all of the facts as they could if Nadya had kept her agreement with AIW and Dr. Phil to allow supportive care by AIW, and complete transparency by permitting Linda to speak.”
My mom, Gloria Allred, wonders, “What are they trying to hide and why?”

So, not only are the taxpayers paying for the care of Nadya’s octuplets – when there was the option not to burden the public – but Nadya’s benefiting from it right and left. She doesn’t have to pay a cent. And the Kaiser Permanente nurses can’t say a word to the public. So Nadya can keep on going the way she is, blowing money left and right, sleeping through the night (no one with one newborn gets to do that – let alone eight), getting manicures, and taking care of the babies only when she’s shooting a scene for the camera.
Considering that Nadya wasn’t paying for Angels in Waiting and isn’t paying for the Kaiser Permanente nurses, the big difference here is that the later group has to keep quiet. I’m guessing that having a lot of strangers in the home – especially professional baby caregivers – is going to make Nadya feel uncomfortable and judged no matter what. I doubt the Kaiser nurses are going to be any more forgiving of all her flaws. So really, the big advantage is that Nadya basically gets protection from them, because they’re bound to medical confidentiality. So we all foot the bill, and Octomom can keep on installing new Jacuzzi bathtubs.

This will be the last time I read a Nausea Sulliedman story – she’s maxed out my limit for douchebaggery just by breathing the same air.
We already know she’s a crappy mom. We already know she’s selfish beyond belief and that her only motivation for anything is herself. We already know that she’s spending her “hard-earned” money on herself while the tax payers of California pick up the tab for the rearing of 14 kids (you think those nurses won’t end up watching the original 6?).
So the real question here is why do we even pay her any attention? She’s proven herself to be narcissistic, pathological, self-centered, and vain. There’s nothing redeeming about her in any way, and as far as celebrity gossip is concerned, she’s about as famous as the ingrown hair on Spencer Pratt’s ass, IMHO.
Her children will be entering society in the next few years and I’ll be the first one to bet that the Co$ will be there to support her when she says that her kids don’t need to speak to a psychologist or psychiatrist to deal with their issues of abandonment, neglect, etc…

I don’t see where The National Enq. has a direct quote from Octo admitting she used to strip. I only see the regular “a close pal” thing that the do in their reporting. They don’t even use the “friend’s” name. I mean we have enough real quotes to pick on from Octo without The National Enq. having to pull made up stuff out of their bums.
And nobody sees that it’s a better deal for the babies ?
They will have the nurses that have already cared for them since their births… and hopefully will grow up without a Gloria Alred vulture on their tiny beds.

(not to be confused with the last poster named “yea”) I’m a single mother who can’t get the state to issue a warrant of arrest for my x husband for $70,000 in back child support. I got sterilized so I would not have to go on the system and focused on raising my ONE son alone without a mother or a father (dead) to help. Everything about her is so wrong on so many levels. She angers me in a very deep, powerful and personal way. She is a vampiric, parasitic, manipulative lower-human.
Every single one of her neighbors should call CPS.

I don’t know who is worse Octomom or Gloria Allred. I seem that every time there is an opportunity for publicity there is Gloria. I really don’t like that woman and I personally wouldn’t have wanted any deal that she would have been a part of. I can understand why the Angels in Waiting and Ms. Allred was told not to come back, they made 3 reports to CPS in just a week. CPS checked into the reports and found them untrue. Who would want to have that group watching their every move when they brought their newborn home. Not that I have much faith in Octomom to be a great mother, but still. The nurses that are there are still bound by law to report any probelems they see to CPS so that won’t change no matter what Gloria Allread and her daughter say. And you can bet the the state of California Child Service will be keeping a very close eye on this situation. So Gloria you have done enough her it is time to go home and have a big ole glass of STFU!

@dovesgate: it is hard to have compassion for someone who is such a liar and a user. but i do think nadya is mentally ill. she seems completely delusional and probably has been for a long time. she needs to have those kids taken away (temporarily) and she needs to get some serious mental help, not just calling in and talking to dr. phil. she reminds me of a child with a box of kittens – loves them, plays with them, kisses them, gets bored as the kittens grow up, puts them back in the box and forgets about them and lets mom and dad take care of them.

I don’t think she set out to have a record-breaking number of babies.
This seems much more like someone who is mentally ill and out of touch than someone who set this all up as a big joke. The quotes and lies that she gives sound much more like a child than like someone smart enough to con the whole state of California.
I don’t know that her children need to be taken away to burden the foster care system so long as she has hired help in place to see to their care, but somebody seriously needs to get assigned to be a conservator to this woman’s sudden media-given estate.
I have an older sister just like her and it is awful. All my life I have seen my sister use people and lie and use the system as well. This kind of woman can hurt anyone and not feel a thing and I feel so bad for her kids who will grow up more mixed up that she is already. There are crazies by the thousands out there and she has placed herself and her children in the public eye and created such hatred for them all. I grew up so distressed watching my sister do what she did to her family and any poor sucker who got in her way. These kind of people have no conscious and they have enormous survivor skills from dodging the bullet for years and years. They enjoy the attention and the power.
Of course she is mentally unstable. That isn’t the real tradgedy. The real tradgedy is that someone so mentally unstable can be in power over someones life and not care at all about what they are doing. 14 litte lives are in her care and they can’t do anything for theirselves to stop her.
They can’t say a word publicly but they can still call CPS.
The babies are already in this world so what else can she do? Her only income now is doing interviews so she may as well take advantage of it while it lasts. I imagine the blog she works for tells her to go out cause no one will care if she is cooped up taking care of the babies! People like to criticize and what better way than to see her out and about without her kids…this is what makes good gossip and makes people want to read and give their opinion. Publicity 101 people.

Suleman is a greedy, thoughtless moron who cares nothing for anyone but herself, and she is absolutely hideous, too. Her kids will probably be burdens on the taxpayers all their lives. A couple of the first six are handicapped and all fourteen are being raised by a neglectful idiot. The last eight will have all kinds of problems because they were born so small–none of those kids will have much of a chance. They probably will be leeches like their mother.
Does anyone else suspect that those poor kids may not even be from her eggs? There are probably scores of abandoned eggs left in storage in IVF clinics. Who knows what really happens to them. All you’d have is the doctor’s word that your unused eggs were destroyed. If those kids weren’t really Suleman’s biological children, it would explain why she seems to care nothing for any of them. I would hate to have gone to Kamrava’s clinic–I’d be worried sick. He and Suleman are monsters. Kamrava should be put out of business, and Suleman needs a keeper. She appears to have the smarts and maturity of a dumb twelve-year-old kid.
ALL Nurses are bound by HIPAA and can not share protected Health information about ANY patient in their care. Love or Hate this woman it doesn’t matter nurses are bound by HIPAA. And also Ms. Suleman doesn’t have to share the private details of her life and the lives of her children with anybody. If a nurse suspects abuse and neglect of any kind they are legally mandated reporters and HAVE to report such things to state agencies, not go on Dr. Phil or other talk shows. A report is taken and then the state looks into again privately! I wouldn’t have wanted the AIW nurses and their big mouths in my home either. They should all be fined for violating HIPAA. And I know these things because I am a nurse, and I was cringing when I heard them talking publically about their patients!
