How many Bravo bridges did Brandi Glanville burn when she was ‘fired’?

FFN_Celebs_Craigs_PER_070915_51794745

Here are some photos of Brandi Glanville out at Craig’s in West Hollywood last night. Considering her reality show career is now in the toilet, I think we should all expect to be seeing more paparazzi photos and staged pap photos of Brandi. She’s still a “name” celebrity, albeit D-list, and there are totally photographers who will throw her a few hundred dollars here and there to stage a photo-op. For what it’s worth, these photos aren’t staged – she was having dinner with a friend, tweeting about it and of course the paps were there (Craig’s is one of those places where paps are always waiting outside).

As for Brandi’s career… her story keeps changing. Obviously. I’ve said from the beginning that she was totally fired from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, but Brandi tried to insist that she decided to quit the show. But Brandi also writes short columns for an Aussie tabloid, NW Magazine, and in this week’s column, she admitted the obvious:

“This week has been crazy!” Brandi begins. “I talked to Yolanda Foster and Kim Richards. Lisa Vanderpump actually emailed me. She was like the first to email after I got fired, which was very weird. I was shocked, it was very unexpected. Everything with her is a plan – everything is very strategic. I feel like she did it so I’d tell people that she did it.”

Brandi goes onto to contradict herself again by saying RHOBH wanted her back part-time, but she’s got “other plans” although she’s hesitant to “close that door.”

“I have choices. I want to make a great choice. I might only get one chance at this!”

[From NW Magazine via Reality Tea]

Reality Tea also says that Brandi was totally lying several months ago when she claimed she was just doing a bit/skit with Jeff Lewis on Watch What Happens Live when she threw wine on him. Lewis now says that the wine-throwing thing was not planned and he’s still mad at her.

So… yeah. Brandi seems like she’s sort of in bad shape. I hope she’s saved some money and I hope she’s able to find a decent revenue stream in the years to come because I think she might have burned a lot of bridges at Bravo.

Ugh. This woman eats the trash she spews from her mouth. I really dislike when she says that Lisa plots and is calculated. If that’s the case why did Brandi basically suck up to both her and Ken in the aftermath. I think a lot of reality is far from it, but you could tell that Lisa and Ken genuinely cared for her.

She plays the victim and I’m not down with it. I used to hope for her success when the whole Leann Eddie bit came to light, but now I think she’s just vomit of the mouth. She just can’t seem to stop herself.

    • Sherry says:

I hate to say this, because cheating is never okay and Leann is certainly no prize, but once I actually heard Brandi talk and saw how she is, I could understand why Eddie left her for Leann. Brandi is a 40-something year old woman with 2 children who is still acting like the 20-something year old party girl. I predict she’ll try and find some wealthy guy to marry and take care of her. If one would have her ….

      • Tifygodess says:

@sherry Well you did just basically say it was ok by justifying it…. Oh Brandi this , Brandi that. Like Eddie is some sort of prize. Ok. Not to mention all of what you said about Brandi could all be said about Leanne , so I guess I miss your point.

      • briargal says:

Oh, please! Edie (gonadless Eddie) did NOT leave Brandi–she kicked him out and he turned to Leaky–aka ATM–and hopefully soon he will find another place to deposit his body and collect checks for pap strolls–especially since he is too lazy and unwanted to work.

      • aaa says:

Eh I think that Brandi’s claim that she kicked Eddie out was a face-saving untruth just like the untruths and exaggerations she’s spewing that it was her decision to leave her reality show job.

      • jenn12 says:

It doesn’t matter how you feel about Brandi- it sucks that you’re justifying Eddie’s actions. He also cheated on his previous fiancée. Leann cheated on her first husband. Will you be justifying those affairs also? When you’re unhappy, you leave the situation. As for Brandi’s behavior, please keep in mind that Leann and Eddie are hypersexual in front of kids, drink nonstop, take photos of themselves giving people the finger, created a reality show based on bashing two kids’ mother and Leann wears the skimpiest possible attire around young boys. Oh, and Eddie photographed Leann and a family friend making out on a public balcony while being papped. And you feel he is not only superior, but traded up? SMDH

      • Jenn K says:

        I love brandi!

      • Lana says:

briargal I once believed that Eddie begged Brandi and she threw him out. I believed it for many years. But Brandi has proven she is a compulsive liar who cannot even keep her stories straight (firing from RHOBH, why she threw wine at Eileen, over-payment from Eddie, it goes on and on and on). I no longer believe that Eddie begged or that she threw him out. Brandi is a manipulative and scheming liar, her lies are different from one week, to the next. I no longer believe her version.

  2. Wentworth Miller says:

She cracked me up, when she first appeared on that show. She seemed…, I don’t know. Untainted by Hollywood. No filter. I stopped watching but anytime that I saw an article about her, she would be displaying vile behavior and it was always someone elses fault. Oh, Brandy. Eddie clearly has a type. You and your bestie, Leann are one in the same.

  3. Bridget says:

Is it so hard to just BE NICE?

  4. flybaby says:

Ughh that dress. Looks like she got it from the Walmart nightie department

    • Wentworth Miller says:

That’s so rude! My great great grandmother has that same “nightie” and it’s clearly not from Walmart. 😉

  5. Mop top says:

I just really feel that there are mental health issues at play as well as her alcohol problems. She needs help, not more fame.

  6. anne_000 says:

From what I’ve read and watched, my understanding is that she was let go/fired from being a full-time, but was asked to come back as a friend of a friend/part-timer. She said she’ll still be seen occasionally in the upcoming season. But she turned down the part-time offer, which came with a lower salary. She has a possible project coming up with another show,

So in essence, yes, she was ‘fired’ from being a full-timer but was offered a job as a part-timer, which she turned down.

She also said that she and the mean girls don’t want to film with each other, but that she’d be happy to film with Yolanda and Kim. But unfortunately, the latter two won’t have much to do with the show anymore.

As for the Jeff Lewis bit, what I got from his response to Andy, was his admission that yes, while they were both back in the green room, there was talk about throwing shade on each other while filming in order to liven up the interview. But that the wine-tossing part wasn’t planned, so I guess that was improv.

So there was something they planned beforehand, but as the interview went on, there were things that happened that weren’t planned. So the truth may be somewhere in the middle.

Btw, Reality Tea is not objective when it comes to Brandi.

    • aaa says:

It goes beyond Brandi’s stories not adding up, she’s been flat out contradicting herself.

Re her firing/leaving, Brandi’s initial written statement was that it was her decision not to return as a full time cast member, then a few days later she tweeted that she was not offered a contract as a full time Housewife.

Brandi broke the news on her podcast that she was leaving and said that she was open to appearing on the show, so she did not turn down the option of making guest appearances. She has since repeated that she expects to film for the upcoming season.

On Howard Stern she stated again that it was her decision to leave and that Kyle and Lisa were c—s for saying/implying she was fired. Brandi added on that Kyle and Lisa’s statements were affecting her ability to rent a house which was another one of her ridiculous untruths. She later admitted to Stern that her contract was not renewed.

Brandi does a column for an Australian tabloid, in one column she said she was fired and in the next column she says she was not fired and complains about Kyle and Lisa talking about her. Come on, she’s making totally opposite statements a week apart in the same publication!

Once upon a time Reality Tea was very pro-Brandi but they certainly are not these days, however Brandi is lying and contradicting herself left and right, so she is making it very easy for them to call her out.

    • anne_000 says:

      @ aaa

She never said she was offered another season of being a full-timer.

She never said she wouldn’t be seen on RHOBH ever again.

She wasn’t fired from being a part-timer at a lower salary, but she turned this option down as it wasn’t worth it to her to film without Yolanda and Kim.

Again, she was fired from being a full-timer, but offered part-timer position instead. Notice the difference?

It’s not lying but it’s on those pretending not to notice the difference between not being offered a full-time position again versus turning down a part-time position.

I suggest you read my original post to understand what the distinction is.

      • aaa says:

In a WRITTEN statement on her Instagram account Brandi claimed that it was HER decision to not return as a FULL-TIME cast member, but then a few days later she tweeted that she was not asked back as a full-time player. Also not too long before the media reported that she was canned, Brandi said that she wanted to return for one last season in hopes of redeeming herself.

When did she say she was offered a part-time position and turned it down? I don’t recall that happening, but I can certainly see her doing that as part of a tap dance when she’s been backed in a corner. Brandi has said more than once that she expects to film for the upcoming season.

Brandi’s contradictions/180s on this matter are well documented from what she represented, or misrepresented, on Instagram and later contradicted on Twitter, to her stating in one of her tabloid columns that she was fired and then in the next column stating that she was not fired.

  7. Christin says:

Looking back at a 2013 post the other day (remember Eddie’s original Instagram?), it was a reminder of how well she or her then handlers played the original book release that year. Seems like things started unraveling by the next year, around the second book launch.

The saying ‘birds of a feather’ really does seem to apply here. She doesn’t seem to own and learn from her mistakes.

  8. AnotherDirtyMartini says:

I’m glad Brandi is off the show. Doubly glad that Kim Richards is gone too. And Her Beigeness, Yolanda Foster.

I thought Brandi was funny – at first. Now I just find her awful to watch. She’s super angry, hateful and manipulative. It was nauseating.

  9. Mindy says:

I wouldn’t discount the possibility she turns up again in her own ‘reality show’. All this drama around her firing/talk show tantrums could be staged to keep the interest going. Hate her or love her, she is far more interesting than some of the other ‘reality’ stars.

    Or not

    Cheers.

    • Gigi says:

I thought Bravo should have removed her from RHOBH a season or two ago (after her height in popularity but before she became so unpopular) and given her a show. Maybe she helps newly divorced women get back into dating of something ? Something where her personality comes out but she’s not throwing wine at people.

  10. The Eternal Side-Eye says:

“I feel like she did it so I’d tell people she did it.”

Cause that gun pointed to your head isn’t giving you any options right? Don’t Bristol your Palin, don’t Grande your Ariana, you mentioned it because speaking the cold hard truth is probably a little painful for you so you speak about everything except what’s really going on.

Seriously hope she’s got money saved up, she seems to go through stages of being really wild and not thinking about consequences. Cute when you’ve got the money to cover your actions, desperate when you don’t.

    • heidi says:

“I feel like she did it so I’d tell people she did it.”

This is a case of classic projection, nothing more.

  11. My Two Cents says:

I have always been one of the first ones to defend Brandi. I still feel for the position she is in but….I think she is trying to be outrageous right now to get continued publicity and its the wrong kind of publicity. She seems to think it doesn’t matter what they say about you, just so they say something. I am afraid she is ruining any future employment opportunities in lala land. If I were her, I would get some kind of training ie hair stylist, makeup, realtor, something and just fade into a normal life. This outrageous stuff is backfiring on her. I personally feel its mostly an act.

    • Christin says:

I don’t watch any of the HW shows, yet what little I glean from articles leads me to think she should have quit a season or two ago. When you supposedly have to act outrageous to keep a spot (or think you do), chances are you will alienate people. She seems to veer back to the TMI comments and OTT behavior to get attention.

If she had tried to broaden her fan base in some way right after the success of her first book (not that dating book), she might have fared better for the long run.

  12. Dml1973 says:

For someone who should be watching what she spends, she’s clearly got new teefs. 1000% those are all new veneers

  13. L says:

I wish Brandi and her boys the best.

    • Puravidacostarica says:

Me too. I feel for her and hope she finds peace. I can’t imagine being her and trying to find peace when the replacement wife is something as vile as LeAnn.

  14. Lana says:

Wow. Lisa, Lisa strategizes? Talk about the pot calling the kettle black! Brandi has admitted that she does things for attention and plans things for storylines and shock value. Isn’t that the VERY ESSENCE of strategizing? Brandi is the biggest strategizer of all. What a lying hypocrite she is! She is a scheming manipulator.

  15. mollie says:

Ok, did anybody else notice the very bizarre twitter stunt Leann pulled over the weekend? Brandi had tweeted something about being costumed as a superhero who eliminates monsters from under beds.

Leann followed up with a quote about “Monsters under beds are really inside us”.

It was just straight up creepy. That does it, I feel that Leann is over the edge.

    • Michele says:

LeAnn should really be careful of Brandi, I’m not sure why she pushes Brandi. Brandi is liable to go off LOL!

  16. Michele says:

Lisa probably emailed her to be nice. You’re damned if you do and damned if you don’t with this tramp.

If I were the housewives and everyone else that has any notoriety at all, I would steer very far and clear from this trick.
