Kylie Jenner turns 18 years old in the next few hours as discussed earlier today. She may or may not have received a regifted car (that used to belong to Blac Chyna) from Tyga, but she definitely received a $320,000 car from him last night. I’m including the photos of Kylie’s new Ferrari, and she spotted it (of course) in front of cameras. This guy has been sued twice for unpaid rent, and there are buzzings that Kylie paid his overdue balance for him. But he’s dropping this much on a car anyway. Kylie probably paid for it. She’s reportedly worth $5 million as she becomes an adult.
Kylie debuted a new look last night. She went full-on platinum for her big day. This is such a drastic change, and it’s not a good one. Kylie added mint green nails, a super-tight dress, and the entire look reminds me of Lindsay Lohan’s blonde days. What do you think? There’s a chance she’s only messing with us too. Kylie loves wigs and extensions.

I used to feel sorry for her, but her sister Kendall is proof that she made a choice to become the person she is and live for all the tacky sh–t she clearly loves so much. As noted on the post about these people yesterday, in the picture of all the sisters together, there was Khloe, Kim and Kylie wearing their clown shellac makeup and hamming it up for the camera, and on the other side there was Kourtney and Kendall with barely any makeup on looking normal.
There is only one word that comes to mind for these people, and that is TACKY.

I think being able to have a career as a successful model is Kendall’s saving grace.

Khloe and Kylie were called ugly all the time. Kendall and Kourtney were not. They are a prime example what words can do to people’s self esteem. I don’t know what happened with Kim.

Sadly, none of this would even be happening if her parents didn’t raise all of their children to believe that looks are paramount in life. It’s been discussed here constantly, but look at Kris for example, openly admitting that Kim was always her favorite child and it’s no coincidence that Kim was always arguably the most attractive, even when they were children. She also told a teenage Khloe that she would need a nose job. No one stood a chance in this family. I know I sound cruel, but ultimately every single one of these people has a choice to go off on their own and make a go of it. They’re all better off than the majority of the regular public is financially, and they have all the means in the world to do whatever they please. I totally get that Rob has some deep issues that have seemingly come to a head, but he could stop crying about how his mom doesn’t make him deals the same way she does for his sisters and go become a lawyer like he had originally planned to do before he got a taste of fame and money for nothing. Khloe and Kylie could do something more significant with themselves also, but the fame and easy money is too appealing so they choose to stick with the script. At the end of the day, everything these people do is for fame and fortune and I can’t bring myself to pity any of them.
This. Solidly this. This is absolutely what happens when so much value is placed on your looks and people consider you to be the “unlucky” and “unattractive” one. I feel for the girl cause she never really had a chance. Lmao I doubt I would make more satisfying choices if I grew up like that.

Yes, that can definitely be something to criticize as bad parenting and over sexualization. But there’s nothing wrong with an 18-year-old or anyone else making clothing style choices that people don’t feel are elegant, ladylike, and traditional. Just because we’ve falsely been conditioned to see ‘dressing like a lady’ as a moral obligation and a protection (sort of like a metaphorical pepper spray) doesn’t mean that everyone who doesn’t ‘dress like a lady’ is doing something wrong. And this is from someone who sees Kylie as an insecure young girl with older family members who haven’t made the best decisions surrounding her. Still doesn’t mean I condone sexual bullying or think that will do any good.

Slightly off topic, but it’s kind of funny how some moms think their sons are angelic princes in desperate need of a Traditional Girl. Then these same moms (some of them, anyway) will complain about the same political groups that are all about forcing all women to be the Traditional Girl.
I have no kids but how about I’d want my son with someone that a) makes him happy (for himself) and b) doesn’t have him under constant scrutiny (for both of us).

As the mom of a son, I totally wouldn’t want him dating a Kardashian. I would be concerned about him dating any celeb unless he was in the biz himself, but I would actually be ok with Taylor Swift. Some people may not like her music, or her friend collecting, but she has not made her name and career based on posting selfies of her butt on Instagram and shilling teas, fake lips, fake hair, fake lashes and so on. As far as we know, she has dated in her age group, she has not released sex videos, has not been photographed stumbling drunk out of bars with her underwear missing, she has a good work ethic and some actual sweet habits, not to mention the coolest cats ever. So yah, I would be ok with my boy dating Taylor if he were in the entertainment industry.

But making modesty a dating requirement is a problem. By the way, Taylor Swift, just like the others, has not shown herself to be above Hollywood Beauty Standards, fakeness, or dating people significantly older and younger than her either. She just gets more of a pass for those things than others have. And never being seen doing something is not the same as having never done something.

She was thrown into adult situations at such a young age that most of us don’t encounter until we have the life experience and maturity to successfully see us through it, as well as someone to go to for proper guidance and support when we find we aren’t so successfully managing things.
My concern is not that some so-called Jezebel will come along and tarnish his halo. I just wouldn’t want to see him dive head first into the deep end of the life pool before he’s had a chance to learn how to swim. He’s just graduated high school and is still learning to tread water.
