Last year, we learned that then-57-year-old Steven Bauer had gotten involved with a then-18-year-old “Tea Party Youth Activist” named Lyda Loudon. She’s the daughter of a Missouri Republican state senator and she’s got some kind of profile in the Tea Party, I guess. She’s also a decade younger than Bauer’s son Alexander.
Well, just in case you were idly wondering “Hey, is Steven Bauer still dating a teenager?” the answer is YES. He’s still dating her. I think they’ve been together about a year and a half. Lyda and Steven were in New York this week and they got pap’d several times outside of their Manhattan hotel. I do not know if they were in town for New York Fashion Week or what. All I know is that most people would probably assume that a kindly older man is showing his daughter or granddaughter around New York for the first time.
Right now, Bauer is 58 years old. He’ll be 59 in December. I’m assuming Lyda is currently 19 years old. So… a 40 year age difference, basically.

They are around, in my parts. There’s a small but highly vocal base of Tea Partiers in our local govt and they trot out their kids every chance they get, I’m sure as proof of their alleged relevance.
Whether these teens are true activists because they believe what their parents believe or if they’re just toeing the party line for now is anyone’s guess. They were a big hit at the appearance Rand Paul made at a local warehouse. 🙂

Also it is not fair for such old man to produce children. If Steven Bauer fathered a child right now then he would be 78 when his child graduated from college. And no, very old parents can not give as much to their young children as younger parents can.
And it is unfair to the child as it won’t have a parent in his twenties and his early thirties and many still need their parent in that time.

There is very interesting new research being done that show that older men’s sperm is associated with an increase in miscarriages, and a greater risk for autism, and other issues. It’s finely coming to light that age affects men reproductively too, not quite as much as women, but much more so than previously believed.
