I just read the Jon Snow post……I watch most of GOT on YOUTUBE and read fanfiction/AO3 because I can’t stand GRRM’s writing….even I KNOW what’s what…… I can’t wait for season 6 even though I’m still po’d how they royally f’d up the Sand Snakes. I was SO excited to see them….UGH.
As for this Deadpool movie……THIS is exactly what everyone was saying in the Matt Damon posts…….I have a feeling this movie is going to tank/not do as well as expected. Because it just looks so BAD. Now I actually liked him in Origins….but that’s because he was in it for like five minutes as Wade Wilson.

Well, his career is not dead yet. His interpretation in the films Buried and The Voices got rave reviews, and I think that he and Mendelssohn may very well get nominated for Academy Awards, even though their film, Mississippi Grind, does not deal with zombies, vampires, children, boys coming of age, change of sex, violence, terminal illness, cute puppies, gangsters, etc. Indie films normally do not make a lot of money, and films which are box office successes are usually the dumbest. Should we consider Bradley Cooper’s career as dead and buried because of Aloha, The Words and Serena (which made slightly more that 100 thousand USD, notwithstanding the presence of Jennifer Lawrence)?
Bradley Cooper has been getting nominated for Academy Awards for the past two years, consecutively. Reynolds career died when he made The Green Lantern. They aren’t in the same plating field.

One gets nominated for an Academy Award and from that moment on he can do no wrong. How comfortable! Do we really believe that actors can refuse a part they don’t believe in? They do it once or twice and they are out of the game. I could list a number of really lousy films with Meryl Streep (who I love, by the way). Lots of variables govern the success or failure of a film or of an actor. However, since Reynolds has been declared dead since 2010 and he is still very much alive makes the whole discussion superfluous, really.
