  1. Badirene says:

I think that Lainey blind is Amanda Seyfried, the first cheater actor/husband is Peter Sarsgaard, don’t know who the recently divorced second guy is though.

  2. Eleonor says:

Now I expect she will receive the same treatement Taylor Swift has gotten for putting an ex on a song.

    • Luca76 says:

      Oh please there’s no comparison.

      • Llc says:

        It’s worse. They have kids.

      • Luca76 says:

If we went by that standard half of the music from the last century wouldn’t exist. Classic Albums from artists as varied as Hank Williams, Bob Dylan, Marvin Gaye, or Joni Mitchell.
There is a huge difference between writing a song about a failed relationship and marketing your whole career on bullying others ala Swift.

      • Liv says:

Bullying others? Are you mad? Who did she bully? I’m curious.

  3. Ankhel says:

    That’s some bad breakup-hair.

    • stinky says:

      lol

    • Katie says:

She’s too old for that look.

    • Melanie says:

Seriously, can someone please explain her hair to me? I’m legit confused. Is it a clip-on hair extension? And she just flips some blonde hair from the other side on top of it? I’ve had some crazy colored hair in my time, but this just looks awful. Like a Hot Topic accessory for Tweens.

  4. Rhiley says:

Those pants are doing her no favors. They very awkwardly bulge in the front. Her hair is meh, and the Demi Moore dentures are scary too. Step up your game, Girl.

  5. Tash says:

Ugh I understand she is hurt but why make it public? I wouldn’t give anyone that pleasure plus she has 3 or 4 children with that man so they should keep it civil. I dunno…it’s all childish to me and I guess she needs to keep herself in the news.

  6. Chelsey says:

    Damn she looks good. Unfair.

    • ariverruns@aol.com says:

      She looks great. Yes.

Did he cheat? I was surprised about the split, but I don’t really follow them on a regular basis.

      • Andrea says:

That’s the rumor but there has never been a woman revealed (unlike nannygate with Affleck).

    • Josefa says:

Yeah, I still like how her face looks. She’s deffo had work done (her face always looks stiff) but I don’t think it’s that bad. I can still see her face there.

  7. parissucksliterally says:

She has got to stop tweaking her face. She looks so different – I don’t like it.

  8. Farah says:

I don’t get the hate people have for songwriters. Whether that’s Taylor, Ed Sheeran, Gwen or even Drake. Is it because these people have famous exes? Adele writes a whole album about an ex, and no one complained because he was just Joe Blow. Drake writes a song about Rihanna and everyone freaks out.

    Let writers be writers.

Gwen wrote her biggest song “Don’t Speak” about her ex boyfriend Tony. She wrote a whole album about Gavin the first time they broke up. Selfishly her music is better when she’s heartbroken. All that sugar pop music while married was embarrassing. Give heartbroken Gwen!

    • Luca76 says:

I think Swift gets singled out not necessarily for writing a song about breakups or feuds but because she markets her album on said feuds and has for years and is particularly nasty about it. See her endless whining about Katy Perry stealing her backup dancers.
The other people you mentioned may in fact be writing about each other in gossipy ways but they aren’t speaking on record about it. It’s more internet speculation then it is actual controversy.

    • InvaderTak says:

Stevie and Lindsey. Music wouldn’t be the same without them and the Shakespeare drama of a relationship.

    • Kate says:

It’s the way they do it. Taylor drops hints, references relevant pap photos/gossip stories and puts clues in the liner notes. Same with Sheeran. Drake didn’t catch any heat for his songs about Rihanna until he started going out of his way to make it clear he was talking about her (mentioning her friends by name, places they’d been seen etc.).

You can write a song about someone without making it 100% obvious who that person is. Filling the song with clues and callbacks is just juvenile and screaming for attention. Yes people who follow these singers can make educated guesses, but that’s all they’ll be, guesses.

Look at a song like You’re So Vain. People can guess, but it could be about 20 different people or inspired a little by all of them. Simon didn’t feel the need to add a line about Bonnie and Clyde or rolling stones or music execs so everyone would know exactly who she was singing about.

    • Petee says:

      Very true.

    • Maria says:

The whole Fleetwood Mac Rumurs album is about all of them going thru breakups and divorces at the same time. Still a classic today.

  9. Daria Morgendorffer says:

Meh, nothing new here. Classic Gwen. This is what she does. I can understand the Taylor Swift comparison being made in some comments here, but I don’t agree with them. Taylor writes songs totally bashing people, dragging them through the mud and acting like she is some innocent victim who was so innocent and taken advantage of. For Gwen, it’s her expressing average breakup feelings that are relatable, in my opinion. Did she even write this song? Because half of the breakup songs on “Tragic Kingdom” were written by other people.

Taylor’s victim complex and need to remain the sugary sweet innocent princess who is loved by all and her attempts to demonize anyone who leaves her life shouldn’t ruin breakup songs for other artists.

    • Farah says:

The only song she acted like she was taken advantage of was “Dear John” about John Mayer. It’s pretty clear that was an emotionally manipulative relationship. Starting with the fact that she was 18/19 and he was 30+. Of course there was going to be a power imbalance.

I don’t think Taylor written a song about a guy where she was the victim. There’s “Mean” about a critic who (gasp) dared to criticize her f*cking terrible Grammy Performance. There was “Better than Revenge” where she slutshamed Camila Belle. There was “Innocent” where she was totally condecending towards Kanye. In actually relationship songs, Taylor seems to be fair. Her latest album 1989 was her really ex friendly. The whole message of the album was: “There was this guy I liked but we didn’t work out, and I’m okay with that.

      • LeAnn Stinks says:

Didn’t she supposedly write a song about Jake Gyllenhaal as well? I thought I read somewhere that it might be “I Knew You Were Trouble?”

      • WinnieCoopersMom says:

LOL “Innocent” for Kanye was an amazing move. It basically ahole-shamed him haha. Loved it and every time I hear that song, I think about the hours Kanye probably secretly sat and pondered those lyrics hahahah

  10. JenniferJustice says:

I’m a big fan of Gwen, but she’s too old for the breakup song thing. Leave that to the little girls like Swifty. Gwen has kids to consider and frankly, as much as I dig her, she knew what she was getting into when she married him. It’s like begging someone to deny an avalanch of rumors and obvious behavior, only to go off the deep end when the rumors become reality.

    • fiona says:

Too old for the break up song thing? I hate it when people say they’re too old for something. Would it be better if it happened 10 years ago then to please you? I don’t understand. She’s a decent pop artist, she’s writing about something that is a huge part o f her life. Yeah, she could have known better but I don’t see why she can’t sing about him. I guess she just shouldn’t bother with her career anymore, you know because she’s too old.

  11. original kay says:

meh. “Don’t Speak” is in my top 10 of all time favourite songs.

  12. HannahBanana says:

Having listened to the song, I didn’t really see it as a diss track. Break up track, sure, but not a diss track. For anyone saying she’s “too old” to be writing break up songs…songwriters write what they live. She’s living a break up. You don’t age out of that.

    • mimif says:

I know l, I laughed at diss track. Back To Back is a diss track, this is just another break-up song.

    • Josefa says:

I just saw it as a break-up song as well, but you know how gossip bloggers work with their headlines.

    • fiona says:

Thank you! Getting tired of these “too old” to bother comments. Seriously, she looks incredible and is talented. The ageism is rife.

  13. iheartgossip says:

Oh Gwen. Don’t turn into ‘that’ woman. You have 3 children with Gavin & you’re too old to be Tay-Tay

  14. maria1981 says:

she is way too old for breakup songs. and the video with her enormous plastic face…cringe cringe cringe. you are almost 50, lady! please lose the awful hair and the blue nails and don’t become a sad attention grandma like madonna.

  15. Andrea says:

I just feel like the song is in poor taste given she has children with him. What if/when some kid from school starts picking on the oldest two kids over the lyrics? not to mention the kids will hear discussion about it from the mutual kids parents. NOT COOL. She needs to take responsibility. He was known to get around when she got with him. She needs to form a support group with Jennifer Garner.

  16. Josefa says:

Of course she wrote a song about the breakup. She’s a singer. That’s what singers do. It has ALWAYS been like that. Not all of them are Taylor Swift’y about it, but falling in love and out of it has always been the main source of inspiration for pop songs.

  17. LeAnn Stinks says:

Victoria Justice and Nina Dobrev remind me of each other.

  18. Mia4s says:

New Star Wars poster!….oh…meh….photoshop overcrowding and needs 1000000000000X more Oscar Isaac.

Best Star Wars poster is still the Phantom Menace teaser with the kid and Vader’s shadow. Too bad the movie was godawful garbage!

  19. Emmygrant says:

I thought Lainey’s blind might be about Edward Norton and Emma Stone.

  20. Katie says:

What does Gwen Steffani actually look like?

  21. Veronica says:

Eh, go for it, I’d say. If half of the rumors a about him are true, he has it coming. I remember reading an interview from her years back when she stated that she wore so much makeup because “Gavin preferred her that way.” I remember sitting there being stunned because…holy shit, the f*cking audacity it takes to say something like that to your WIFE. So I’m fine with her writing a few breakup songs because she might as well salvage something out of that situation.

  22. LAK says:

Best ‘diss’ track remains Carly Simon’s ‘you’re so vain’.

    • Canadian Becks says:

      I concur.
From the very first line, the dissing is so creative. Simply reading the song lyrics is like an exercise in creative writing.
Also love her use of rhymes with “cravat” and “gavotte”.
