Us Weekly: Kim Kardashian’s labor might be induced around Thanksgiving

wenn22815846

I haven’t written about Kim Kardashian since Monday, and in that time, I swear to God, about a million Kim K. stories piled up. Why is she giving so many interviews? Why is she telling every single person on the planet about her utter misery while pregnant? I have no idea. I suspect it’s the last burst of press she’s doing before she goes in for an early C-section. That’s what Us Weekly is saying! Here are some of the various stories and quotes circulating about Kim this week:

A possible C-section for Thanksgiving. Even though Kim is due on or around Christmas, sources tell Us Weekly that she might be induced or have a C-section around Thanksgiving. A source says: “Kim’s doctors want to get the baby out early because of her medical history.” Her doctors have found “excess fluid in her placenta, a sign of gestational diabetes.”

Baby Boy Kardashian-West. What will Kim and Kanye name this child? Easton West? South West? West West? Kim tells People Mag that when it came to naming North, “It’s like the last thing that Kanye and I did when North was born. We didn’t name her for like seven days. I feel like it will just come to us.” Apparently, North has an idea for her little brother’s name: she wants to name him Baby Brother West.

Kim’s maternity style. Kim also told People: “I feel most comfortable in tighter things. When it’s skintight, you just see the shape and it is what it is. I have a bump. I’m not trying to dress around it!” During her first pregnancy, Kim wore “a lot of things were looser and more babydoll looking” and “I don’t think that really works because you’re just adding on top. The first time I was just trying to hide it to look normal and this time I’m accentuating it and hiding the areas I don’t feel comfortable about. But the bump is never an area to hide!” I do think she learned a lot from her first pregnancy, in that she’s learned to be a butt-covering ninja.

Kim is really swollen and miserable. Kim posted a video to her subscription website where she’s basically just complaining about how nothing fits her and “Ugh, these fat hands, my ring doesn’t even fit… I am so tired, you guys, I don’t know what’s wrong with me….And this double chin or these lips…I have flip flops on and they almost don’t fit me.” If her flip-flops don’t fit her, how in the world is she jamming her feet into three-inch heels?

I’m looking at her butt in that last picture, which is smaller than Khloe’s current butt of lies and wondering if there really are people out there who believe them that they got those with squats and lunges.

  2. Josephine says:

There are tests for gestational diabetes, and it can be managed. You don’t take a baby 4 weeks early because of it. I just think this is lies, lies and more lies, and that she’s having a perfectly normally pregnancy and will have a schedule c-section at about 40 weeks, which is probably within the next week or two.

    • tracking says:

      +1

    • HappyMom says:

Exactly. She’s prepping for it by complaining about how “high risk” it is.

    • swack says:

I totally agree. She obviously doesn’t have gestational diabetes because if there was any possibility that she has it the doctor would test for it. No doctor is going to induce early unless the mother or baby are at risk. They will do bed rest and other measures before automatically inducing the child. She was just out and about yesterday shopping.

      Wondering about the timeline….

I just googled it and it looked like this pregnancy was announced May 31 in a teaser for a KUWTK episode. A December 25 due date would make her around 10 weeks at that point, which seems to be a reasonable time to announce. (I personally wait longer, but I know a lot of people who feel comfortable sharing news at that point.)

But that scene would clearly have been shot some time before that teaser. I wonder how early? I guess I’m wondering if she is close to 40 weeks.

Hate myself for spending this much time thinking about this! But totally agree with all who say there is no way a responsible doctor would induce four week early for “a sign of gestational diabetes”. Not a diagnosis, but also even if it were a diagnosis, a doctor would be super cautious about inducing so early because immature lung development can be an issue with early inductions AND gestational diabetes. Reminds me of how fast and loose she played with her “toxemia” diagnosis and alleged infertility issues.

      • swack says:

My 11 year old twins were born around 30 weeks. My daughter was in the hospital bed ridden for two weeks because she was leaking fluids and they wanted the twins to be in utero as long as possible because of lung development. She even had to take shots to help the lung development along. My grandson has asthma issues still.

    • robynsing says:

Exactly. Shes covering up her previous lies about when she got pregnant. She was still playing out the “trouble conceiving” story line when she was actually already pregnant. She lied about her conception and birth last time too. NOTHING this family does is true or real. They lie about everything that happens to them. If there is a doctor that will take a baby out a month early because her feet are swollen, that doctor should have his medical license YANKED.

      • Tillie says:

@robynsing, that’s interesting. I was trying to guess why KK would lie about the due date. I was thinking “early baby” drama for the show, but that seems a little played out since North was also early.

But your idea that they hadn’t finished playing out the infertility news cycle when she got pregnant makes sense. Because the E! article I found for May 31 mentioned that the teaser was timed to air at the mid-season finale. So, unless that was an incredible coincidence, that reveal footage was held for a time when it would give greatest ratings advantages. So, she could already have been pregnant a while when it aired.

Again, experiencing deep self-loathing for spending so much time puzzling this out!

    • Steph O says:

If there are any concerns with the way the pregnancy is progressing at 35 weeks or later, they usually just induce or c section. At that gestational age, the risks to staying put (when there are concerns) are higher than the risks of being born early. Sometimes a short NICU stay is needed, but once again no long term complications are expected.
That being said, wtf is this excess fluid in the placenta? It’s pretty common for GD to cause low amniotic fluid, as the placenta’s ability to filter amniotic fluid suffers when the GD can’t or won’t be effectively managed, but I’ve never heard of excess fluid in placenta.

  3. Nicolette says:

Yeah yeah. We get it. She’s pregnant. She hates everything about it. She’ll time the birth so her child will be born on Thanksgiving. Whatever.

  4. SamiHami says:

Here’s my guess for the baby’s name: Wild West.

  5. minx says:

They lie and they think everyone is stupid enough to buy into their lies.

She would not get induced an entire month early. For some reason they lied about the original due date (who knows why, storyline?) so whenever she is induced, it will most likely be close to 40 weeks.

    God these people are tiresome.

    • sb says:

Exactly Minx! They wanted to pretend they were having a Christmas Yeezy 2.0 and its simply not true, the timelines with these people never seem to quite add up. She’s probably exhausted with herself; just as much as we are.

    • word says:

I saw an interview with her just a week or so ago. She said North came early and she wouldn’t mind this one coming early too. Why would any woman want their child to be born early???!!!

      • Emma says:

Well I kind of do because it’s going to be a million degrees in Australia when mine is due (1st Feb), I have a 2 year old and I am the size of a small bus right now. I can’t do anything because I am constantly short of breath due to the little butt in my diaphragm, I have heart burn and constipation and I am just bloody tired. But I don’t want her to come before she’s actually ready; I just hope she feels ready before the EDD.

    • Steph O says:

I mentioned this in a thread above, but if there are concerns about the pregnancy, doctors will induce at 35 weeks or later. So it’s not ideal, but it’s not unheard of to do an induction a month early. I *think* the 35 week rule might be a national guideline, but I’m not sure. At that point in pregnancy, the risk to continuing the pregnancy due to hypertension, low amniotic fluid, etc. is higher than the risk of preterm birth. So it is totally possible she’s being recommended to have her little one early. That being said, I have no idea what the hell this fluid in the placenta thing is…

  6. My Two Cents says:

This woman acts as if she is the only woman to ever be pregnant or have a difficult one. As per usual, her butt is bigger than her stomach. Is she sure she’s not carrying the golden child in her butt? I was confined to total bed rest last month due to complications. I didn’t wear any makeup or dress to kill in heels. Her look doesn’t match her rhetoric.

  7. Chelly says:

I actually like West Kardashian West 🙈

  8. Sayrah says:

Weston West but Sway would be funnier.

  9. Mitchie says:

I had gestational diabetes during both my pregnancies, and I was just put on a special diet. The only problem I had was that the diet was causing me to lose weight.

Why does her baby bump keep changing size to fit her wardrobe?

    • swack says:

The first picture with the brown dress is from the VMA’s which were held on Aug 30th (I had to look it up). That’s why her bump looks so small. The picture with the black lace is more recent.

      • swack says:

Also, the in the second picture with the brown dress, it is profile and she is deliberately pushing her abdomen forward.

  10. GoodNamesAllTaken says:

I feel like she has been pregnant for ten years.

    • swack says:

That’s because when someone is constantly complaining about something it seems to drag on forever. Or at least for me it does.

  11. Anon says:

God I wish I’d had the flexibility to wear comfortable clothing at work during my pregnancy. I work in a suit everyday environment, and when I traded in my heels for Cole Haan flats people acted as if I were wearing slippers or flip flops around the office. Nevermind that I felt like I was carrying a small elephant around! I guess I get if shes more comfortable in tight clothing with a face full of make up, but lord knows I wasn’t!

  12. Ang says:

She does look like a cartoon character and her ass is just plain awful . I don’t believe a word these whores say. I just can’t understand the fan base with these characters.

  13. CooCooCatchoo says:

Okay, that brown dress with the lacing up the front makes her look like a roasted turkey.

Second, leave it to Kim to hijack Thanksgiving by scheduling a c-section that day. “IT’S ALL ABOUT MEEEE, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year! Holidays, too!”

Surprised she’s not trying to hang on until Christmas Eve. Baby Yeezus in the manger.

  14. Maya says:

She said she’s been covering areas she doesn’t feel good about. And she has been covering her butt all along. So I have been secretly hoping that she’ll have a butt reduction operation to take off that ridiculous junk. I’m hoping !!

    • Mitchie says:

Her butt looks like it weighs 50 pounds, at least. Anyone would be exhausted having to lug that around day after day. Not to mention carrying a child. She should start thinking about the child and just stay home and gets some rest. Her starvation for constant attention is mind boggling.

  15. BrandyAlexander says:

I’m looking forward to her giving birth as soon as possible. After North was born, she went into hiding for a few months while she “got back into shape”. I’m looking forward to the reprieve with this one too.

  16. Michelle says:

And…nobody cares. Hope it is an uneventful as a fart in a public place.

  17. Cirque28 says:

LOL, gestational diabetes could be confirmed with a 5 minute blood test, yet Kim’s doctors prefer to speculate based on placental fluid as they wring their hands over her desperate, high risk pregnancy.

As always, she has the mentality of a particularly desperate-for-attention 12 year old.

  18. word says:

It’s because their new season premiered to low ratings. This family will be in over-drive now trying to get the ratings up.

I think they will name the child King West and copy what Kylie and Tyga call themselves.

  19. Knitnwine says:

Ugh this ass of lies! You don’t induce early for gestational diabetes. Also, fluid in the placenta? They mean polyhydraminos, but whatever. Another example of her vague complications that serve only to excuse her should she elect to deliver early because she’d rather deliver early than resort to publicly wearing flip flops in her last few weeks of pregnancy. No, NICU nurse here says no. These people. Anything for ratings.

And what is she talking about wearing princessy loose clothing during her last pregnancy? She wore Kourtney’s flowy dress out once – and badly- but other than that it was the same old ridiculous tight look at me I’m sexy in my sausage casing style. Kim, sit down and put your feet up all ready! So much try hard!

  20. Anastasia says:

It’s hard to feel sorry for her when she’s running around all over the place wearing crazy get ups like that.

Go home, put on some freaking yoga pants, and STFU.

  21. Paris says:

How could anyone find her attractive?

  22. Kristeller says:

Of course she has not diabetes or placenta previa. And the placenta doesn’t have any fluid. Just lies with this woman. And the history of a hole in the uterus is just… No sense. Why the baby has not go out to the abdomen thru the hole? All the things she said doesn’t make sense. And I know that cause my best friend is an OBGYN and in the hospital I work they (the doctors) laugh each time she says something about her so called “high risk” pregnancy.
And I don’t speak english, as you can notice, but always read this site in the lunch and enjoy all the coments.

    • Cirque28 says:

Kanye is probably her OBGYN, in which case her silly medical tales would make a little more sense.

      Your English is great!

  23. Dubbs Teee Efff says:

So.. She already had North on my birthday (June 15th).. Now there is a possibility of us sharing another birthday date? Capital DUBBS TEE EFF??!! I am scheduled for a c-section this Monday the 23rd. I also have GD and my Dr.’s refused to schedule the surgery until I was at least 39 weeks. Not even by a couple of days!

I thought it would be easier since Monday is the week of Thanksgiving and perhaps this Friday would be better so that way I’m not right up against Thanksgiving (or the day before) on getting released. I’d be 38 weeks and 4 days.. Not happening says Dr. It is 39 weeks and no other choice before that not even by a day.

Sigh. Well.. If we do share another birthday date, at least I will be able to drown my sorrow in turkey without feeling like I’m the one that was stuffed. 😊

  24. Knitnwine says:

Yeah its standard practice to not induce or c-section before 39 weeks now as the hospitals are under pressure to eliminate elective early deliveries. It’s just better for the babies to keep baking in moms oven as long as possible. But of course for real emergencies they still will induce, but I’ve never heard of inducing before 39 weeks for gestational diabetes.
