Amy Schumer was presented with the MVP Award last night by her mentor, Judd Apatow, who joked that they made up an award just to get her there. She was slightly buzzed, she explained during an audience cutaway that she was drinking a margarita with salt because there was no chardonnay (really? I thought that was everyone’s favorite wine) and she went on for so long during her speech. She’s a comedian though so just when I was rolling my eyes at how long she was talking she would crack a joke that made me laugh. Amy was there with her new boyfriend, Ben Hanisch, and he seemed supportive of her – they were really cute together. Amy called herself “plus plus sized” as an intro, which is getting old to me. She’s not that big, maybe she is for Hollywood but not for where I live. She also gestured to her stomach and said “if you’re an actress and you have this area right here you have to write your own stuff if you want to get it made.”
At the end of her speech she named the two victims of the shooting in Lafayette, Louisiana and said “we can end gun violence together,” which was nice. She later won for Best Actress in a Comedy, for Trainwreck, and she joked that we were thinking “this bitch again.” I kind of was!
Amy was in white Calvin Klein and this was a much better look for her than her Golden Globes gown. I thought it suited her so well and I liked her beachy waves, her hair kind of matched the dress.
Here’s Hayden Panettiere, in Maria Lucia Hohan and holy bewbs! They were especially noticeable on camera. I was looking at older photos of her to see if her boobs are new and I think they are. She had a baby a little over a year ago and I thought she may be nursing and that could explain it, but in other post-baby photos she is not as large up top. Hayden was up for Best Supporting Actress in a drama, for Nashville, which went to Constance Zimmer for UnREAL.
Regina King is giving me arm goals in this silver beaded crop top, which looks amazing on her until you scroll down and see that ridiculous extreme gathered white skirt. Less is more. Remember what she wore to the Golden Globes? This is somewhat better but along the same vein. Regina was also nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a drama, for The Leftovers.
Melissa McCarthy was in her own design which looks like it’s straight out of Mrs. Roper’s closet. Her hair and makeup were so pretty though, I noticed how great she looked in the audience. McCarthy lost out in the Best Actress in a Comedy category, for Spy, to Schumer.
Here’s Kate Beckinsale, who was there as a presenter, looking overdone in Monique Lhuillier as usual. Her face looks so different and it’s like she’s trying to hide some eye work under those bangs.

Kate is a stunner. Just flawless. There’s a clip of aniston jumping out of her skin in the audience when Kate is walking to the mic. I have no idea what that was about. Might have been sheer overwhelming resentment. Lol

+1 she is one of those permanently beautiful women who will look lovely at any age. I wonder what that’s like! 😉 I think she looks nice and I can only hope to look that good when I’m her age. I wish celebs were honest about what they’ve had done so we know what works and what to avoid!
Kate has been one of my favorites for years, but I think she is beginning to look plastic-y. I think women look better and younger! with their natural lines.
She holds herself so well and she knows how to dress. Just beautiful.
I like that she is classy, She doesn’t feel the need to bare much or bleach her hair or have huge fake boobs. And she looks better than women who do it.
Yes Kate is really one of the prettiest women in Hollywood and I’m always curious why she does not get more roles? I’ll be honest I’ve only seen her in Pearl Harbor but I thought she was a good actress?! It’s like the other movies she’s been cast in after that look so bad I haven’t even watched them. Am I missing something, is she actually not that great of an actress? Anyone who has seen her in more movies have a better opinion on that? Also I think Regina King looks great bc this outfit just looks fun and she looks so happy like she’s loving it! The rest, nay.
I think she is competent, but she is not a very good actress, imo. For me she is in the same category as Mila Jovovich.
I love Beckinsale’s dress. Everybody else was just meh.
I’m so bored of Amy Schumer’s style. She always wears exactly this style of dress (except for the GGs) and it’s not even that nice on her. This dress would be banging on someone with Jennifer Lawrence’s body.
I agree but not everyone has that banging body. Amy needs a stylist to feature her assets and downplay her flaws. But she is a rebel and probably would wear what she wants anyway.
Yeah, I like the style on her but I’d love to see her mix it up a bit with some colour. There’s a few shades of red that would look great on her. Her makeup is good though.
Amy is going to wear what she’s going to wear. I wish the dress was tailored to her just a bit better and I wish she would stand up straighter. I have this thing about posture.
I think Amy looks good. She has curves in the right places to pull off these type dresses without looking like an absolute mess like Lena Dunham. Even if her arms aren’t incredibly tones, she has boobs and doesn’t mind showing them off. Amy isn’t the most beautiful person in Hollywood but she is sexy in her own way, and she knows it.
Actually, that does look like the red Calvin Klein gown that JLaw wore to thevOscars when she was nominated for winter’so Bone, and your right, it looked great on her.
Amy’s style is awful, but that’s part of her charm I guess. She wears tons of white. It seems to be a kind of, ‘I’m a full figured gal who can catch a d anytime, I wear what I want.’
I liked Amy’s speech. And she was right about everything. She’s lucky she’s a comedy actress, if she was a drama actress she would never work, you need to be very thin to get to do drama. I do think she’s a bit over the top with the boyfriend.
Apart from the nose job, what else has Kate done to her face? She looks different but I can’t pin point what exeactly is diffferent.
I think she had a Tad bit of filler…her face looked Fuller. But it wasn’t overdone.
Amy has heretofore gotten on my nerves with her schtick, but I actually liked her speech last night and thought it was funny.
She definitely using Botox and fillers. Botox around the eyes and forehead, fillers in her lips and nasolabial folds. She’s beautiful, and I hope she doesn’t feel compelled to keep doing more and more stuff to her face.
And Amy’s speech was right on — if she didn’t write her own material, and hadn’t broken out with her stand up, it would be hard for her to be cast. Despite being obviously funny, smart and talented.
Of all the dresses shown above, to me Kate Beckinsale wins hands down. She looks elegant from head to toe. Amy looks like she pulls the same dress out of the closet for every red carpet, Melissa’s dress is too loud, she’s better than that, Hayden’s boobs are having a little party and Regina looks like she’s going to a summer gala or something of the sort. Like I said somewhere else, I hate award season. Makes me feel like the ghost of Joan Rivers deciding who looks good or bad…..sure all the women made an effort to be the queen of the ball if they succeeded or not.
Amy looks much better than she did at the GGs, fresher and younger, but the white is too bridal, imo. The other ladies all look lovely but, yes, Regina and Melissa’s dresses really aren’t doing it.
I think Kate is so gorgeous, yet, she has such a forgettable style. It makes me yawn, geez.

I sometimes think that every 2-3 years, Hollywood choses an actress and give them any and every possible reward and shove it to our faces until suffocating. That’s the case with Schumer and jLaw.

Amy looks good, she really can’t do overly fussy stuff both in hair and makeup,. I sorta agree with her, for Hollywood, she is huge so she has to keep hustling!

I’m fascinated by the mocktresses/professional presenters. Due respect to Beckinsale for still making the scene in her 40s. Neither Alba or Biel seem to get invited anymore and they’re only in their 30s. Kate Hudson and Kate Bosworth are also in this category.
What I don’t get is why. Filling a slot last minute? Bigger names won’t do it/are busy? Oh to be a fly on the wall!

I LOOOOOOVE Kate Beckinsale’s dress. I know she overdoes it for everything, but I think she looks gorgeous, and I love the sort of Art Deco lines. It has an old Hollywood glamour look to it.
Amy looks ok I love Calvin Klein but I tried to watch her show I just can’t I don’t find her that funny it’s almost cringe worthy to me. She seems funny enough just talking but scripted I don’t know maybe it’s me.
Those look like the same implants that Hayden had pre pregnancy to me. If she did go back for a touch up you’d think she’d have them fix that weird cavity at the top of them. That little hollow?

I love the colour of Amy’s dress but i think she is too pale to pull it off. Also her front looks very uncomfortable.
Regina King is everything! The second photo of Hayden looks quite a bt like Diana Agron, is she messing with her face? I don’t think she has new implants, I think she’s just not as toned as she used to be.
I’d like to see Amy branch out in jewel tones. She wears a lot of neutrals, and I think she’d look stunning in a purple or an emerald. Her makeup here is great. I can’t fault her for wearing the same type of dress every time, she knows what sort of works on her body and sticks to it.
I think this dress is the most flattering I’ve seen Amy in, although I’ve never been a fan of white dresses because they do look so bridal. And I love Regina’s top – the bottom isn’t great with it but it’s not horrible. As for Kate, I have never understood her appeal. Technically, I can tell she’s beautiful but I’ve always found her very blah and she looks exactly the same at every award show.
I love Melissa McCarthy and have followed her career ever since Gilmore Girls! I really want to like her fashion line. There are some pieces that I have seen that look nice, but some like this one, are terrible!

I like her too but I agree….this dress is truly awful. I think she’s really pretty, her coloring is just beautiful.
Amy is wearing the wrong top for her shoulders/upper half. That style makes her look slouchy and bigger than she is. When she turns to the side, it looks better, but front on, she needs to figure out what works for her top half because it isn’t a halter top.
Hayden’s new boobs are pretty obvious. She has that gap that Tori Spelling has at the top of them. However, she looks good. That colour suits her.
Everybody else is very well dressed.

Apart from the size, their shape is weird too. The one boob is too close with the other and they look squeezed.
I find them really bad but she’s wearing a revealing dress here so i guess she’s somehow happy with the result.
And the way she’s standing, with her chest out , arms back and back arched, makes her look even more absurd. I think a part of the problem is that she’s so tiny, so the sex kitten look doesn’t work at all on her.

I’ve seen some dresses in this same style that I liked. But you need to have the legs to be able to pull it off. She has great legs.
I’ll admit I find Amy vulgar and irritating… WTF with her saying she wants to go down on Lily Tomlin? I find that totally disrespectful. Her only “humor” seems to be vulgarity. I’m not a pearl clutcher, but there comes a point where it’s totally off-putting and all I can do is roll my eyes when she says “vagina” again.
Hayden looks good from the neck up. Nice hair and makeup. The dress is a disaster – the clothes line with two boob slings hanging from it looks cheap, not sexy.
