This ^^ is Soko. Her full name is Stephanie Sokolinski, but she performs under the name Soko. She’s a 30-year-old French singer-songwriter and one of the latest Fashion Darlings/It Girls, at least according to Vogue. Soko has been attending Paris Fashion Week events all week, and people are excited about her baby-bangs, vintage-y “look” and her music. Personally, I don’t believe women should ever, ever wear red eye makeup and/or baby bangs, but perhaps that’s a personal quirk. Anyway, there’s another reason why people are starting to pay attention to Soko: she might be Kristen Stewart’s new girlfriend! Star Magazine says that it is ON, and Kristen’s relationship with Alicia Cargile really is over.
After just a year of dating, Kristen Stewart has split from former assistant Alicia Cargile, a source tells Star, citing the common strains of a long-distance relationship. Not that Stewart, 25, is wasting any time wallowing!
An eagle-eyed spy spotted K-Stew packing on the PDA with 30-year-old French musician Soko (born Stephanie Sokolinski) on March 2 after showing down at organic chain Café Gratitude in LA.
“They were obviously more than friends, Those two couldn’t keep their hands off each other,” explains the eyewitness. “At first, they were walking arm in arm, cuddling and holding hands. But then they started making out and at one point, Soko grabbed Kristen’s butt.”

Kristen spent much of fall 2015 in France, working on Personal Shopper with writer/director Olivier Assayas. Is it possible that Kristen quietly broke up with Alicia at some point last year and started dating Soko while in Paris? I think it’s more than possible. And for those of you who don’t believe in this kind of speculation… I mean, even Kristen says “Google me, I’m not hiding.” She’s never verbally confirmed that she’s dating women, but she’s not hiding it. And I think these photos from LA were an open pap stroll, like Kristen doesn’t care if we know that she’s got a new girlfriend.
Also, Kristen arrived in France last night and Soko came to pick her up. Soko brought flowers.

The 90s were kinda nice fashion-wise. Especially the grunge fashion ( the clothes, not the “I bathe once a year” look). The 80s were much worse ( I’m judging this only from pictures, I was born in 1993). The 00s fashion was god awful too.

There were several tabloid stories about her and Alicia being over in September but that they were trying to remain friendly-ish and might possibly get together. Besides, she and Alicia haven’t been papped together in a couple of months….so I’m not sure why everyone goes “overlap.”

Because in her dating history she has both cheated and had overlap that’s why. And yeah, I read that but then on twitter there were LQ pictures from fans who spotted the 2 of them in cafés. I don’t keep track of her timeline though, like I don’t care even if there is overlap. It was just in case there was a clear overlap that I was ‘asking’.

Nah, there was no “clear” overlap tho I do feel sort of bad for Alicia since there was a very publicist sounding/friend talked to the press break up notice several months ago that made it sound like they were friendly and it might be a temporary break up….but KStew clearly moved on and is being far more open than she ever was with Alicia. It had to be hard being with a semi-closeted star with an insane fanbase, and then see her openly move out of the closet with someone else just a few months later….especially when she used to be like “duck behind a garbage bin/walk ten feet ahead of someone” half the time and nowadays seems to be zen and ignoring the paps.
Anyway, Soko is pretty cute, this is not the most flattering photo of her. She’s vegan straight edge and KStew seems like burgers and a blunt, so it is a weird match up. Guess opposites attract.

Yeah, I sort of like KStew but I’ll be the first person to admit she looks greasy and disheveled at times…but this “ha ha greasy sloppy dirty” line sometimes bugs me when it comes to her because it’s often thrown at her when she’s not on the red carpet and often seems sort of another way of saying “not dressed in a feminine enough manner.” Ellen Page used to get a lot of the same “sloppy” remarks thrown at her even when she was out at a cafe or something.
@Div I agree. Anybody can see its just coded language for “unlady like”. Theres nothing greesy in those pics, just two casually dressed women who didnt spend their morning ironing creases, coiffing hair and painting faces.

I believe they were under the (homophobic) impression that her relationship with Alicia was just a “phase,” and since they hadn’t been photographed together in a few months and there were some tabloid stories about them breaking up back then too, they thought that “phase” (ugh, homophobic idiots) was over and she would be back to men. I always kind of figured they would turn on her (a lot already had) like they did to RPattz when he got engaged to FKA Twigs when they finally realized they moved on years ago and probably weren’t ever a real couple in the first place back when Twilight happened.
Anyway, I like Soko. Unpopular opinion but all I see are 2 friends who are women that are hanging out together. I mean if people believe statements from so-called spies about this, then any statements from “spies” should be believed for all celebs.
