Fox News: Donald Trump has an ‘extreme, sick obsession’ with Megyn Kelly

wenn23545516

It’s been said before, but it’s worth repeating: Megyn Kelly is Donald Trump’s “type.” She’s blonde and beautiful, she’s intelligent, she’s got a hard, conservative edge and even she admits that he spent years trying to “woo” her. She told Vanity Fair a few months ago that Trump would send press clippings to her (press clippings about her) and sign them “Donald Trump.” My belief is that Trump’s raging hate-on for Megyn these days is mostly the hate-on some men have for women who have spurned their advances. Like, when he’s trying to woo you, you are the most beautiful, magical creature and as soon as you tell him you’re not interested (or that you’re both married to other people), suddenly he’s calling you a crazy bitch and/or a flighty bimbo, and you’re definitely on the rag.

As I mentioned last week, Trump has renewed his attacks on Megyn Kelly. He has been tweeting a lot about how no one should watch “crazy Megyn” and her Fox News show. He tweeted: “Everybody should boycott the @megynkelly show. Never worth watching. Always a hit on Trump! She is sick, & the most overrated person on tv.” And more. At this point, he’s the presumptive GOP presidential nominee, so it does seem… I don’t know? Petty? Misogynistic? Idiotic? All of the above? But I always think he sounds that way. But what was interesting is that Fox News is finally getting serious about defending one of their big talents. They issued a statement about Trump’s tweets, saying:

“Donald Trump’s vitriolic attacks against Megan Kelly and his extreme, sick obsession with her is beneath the dignity of a presidential candidate who wants to occupy the highest office in the land,” Fox News said in a statement. “Megan is an exemplary journalist and one of the leading anchors in America — we’re extremely proud of her phenomenal work and continue to fully support her throughout every day of Trump’s endless barrage of crude and sexist verbal assaults.”

[From Us Weekly]

It feels like we’re through the looking glass, doesn’t it? I mean… I can’t remember a time when a political candidate running for the highest office in the land had to be publicly slammed by a cable news network for the misogynistic crap he was tweeting about a major news show anchor. And yes, I never thought I would write this, but: Fox News is right. Trump has an extreme, sick obsession with Megyn Kelly. And it feels like a creepy dude at a bar is mad at Megyn because she spurned his advances.

He has an obsession with any woman that he feels has gotten the better of him or challenged him in some way. Or has embarrassed him.. See Megan and Rosie.. nothing new.

This man is a petulant child. And he will be this way or far worst if he gets the kind of power the White House brings. Just so disappointed in this country for even allowing him to get this far. SMH every single day.

    • Brittney B. says:

Yep. And it seems ridiculous to imagine him in office, but there are plenty of tantrum-throwing misogynists in power right now. Look at Russia, North Korea, Saudi Arabia… oh f***…

    • doofus says:

this morning, I heard that he had made some “statement” regarding Obama’s trip to Cuba.

apparently, Castro didn’t meet Obama at the airport; he wasn’t expected to, so this is a non-issue. Drumpf, apparently, stated that he would have “turned around and gone home” had this happened to him.

this is a PERFECT example of how thin-skinned he is and how he’s totally unqualified to be president. effectively, “taking his ball and going home”, just like a sore-loser bully who is getting bested in a game of kickball. and this is emblematic of the GOP’s TOTAL aversion to compromise. it’s what they want, and ONLY what they want, never meeting halfway on anything.

      • Sam says:

It makes no sense because Castro is the current head of State. Heads of State usually receive visitors at their homes or some other agreed upon location, usually for security reasons – it’s considered dangerous to have two heads of state in the same place at the same time, and an open place like a tarmac would be a serious issue. It is true that Castro did meet the Pope at the airport, but the government made it clear that the Pope did not visit as a head of state, but as a religious leader (and the Castros are pretty well-known to be closet Christians). Thus, it wouldn’t be a breach of protocol to welcome the Pope but not be there for Obama. It takes literally a few minutes of research to figure this out. Really. Trump is just an idiot, as always.

      • K says:

That makes no sense- the POTUS never meets anyone at the plane I mean it just isn’t done.

And really if you want to be a WORLD LEADER, sometimes you have to roll with other countries customs it’s not all about your ego.

      • aims says:

He’s a sicko. He’s a disgusting pig who hates women and anyone who doesn’t support him. On a positive note,I saw Bernie Sanders yesterday, so that lifts my spirit.

    • nicole says:

lisa2, totally agree, he is so childish the way he carries on. I loved the way Megyn took him down on that first debate, she was great, good for her.

      • lisa2 says:

And he is still smarting from it.. and if she is so “crazy” and insignificant why is he so aware of everything she is doing on her show. You would think if he was so disgusted by her that he would avoid anything she says or does. I would make a bet that he sites and watches her show waiting and hoping she makes a comment about him. He has the worst attitude. And has no idea how a the outside world works. He knows nothing about diplomacy.

      • Malak says:

Lisa, he probably has a crush on Megyn. LOL

    • lucy2 says:

You’re right – whenever things don’t go his way, he pulls this garbage, and especially if it’s a woman.

  2. Pandy says:

It’s like the end of time ….

    • EM says:

Definitely depressing times. I cannot believe how many people are saying (in person and internet) Trump is right. They tell me you should see her show she is constantly mentioning Trump, she’s the one with the obsession, blah, blah, blah. Yea, I don’t watch Fox (ever!) but he’s running for President so she needs to discuss him.

I honestly just can’t with people.

      • Kitten says:

On the Serial podcast they played a recent clip of him talking about Bowe Bergdahl and he says something like (paraphrasing) “In the old days we would shoot deserters on the spot! Right? We would shoot them!” and the whole audience erupts into major applause and laughter. It’s like listening to a cult leader and his followers.

        Scary-ass sh*t for sure.

      • chaine says:

I know, he takes everything so personally. He totally can’t grasp that she’s a news anchor, and he’s the frontrunner for a presidential nomination, so it’s her job to talk about him a lot and dissect him and point out his shortcomings. He would be just as angry if she didn’t talk about him all the time, “Disgusting Megan Kelly ignores front runner, doesn’t even mention how eleventy hundred people attended my great speech in West B*******, Mississippi, she’s a horrible news anchor.”

What is he going to be like as a president if he spends all of his days watching the news and having tantrums about what reporters say about him? How will he get any actual presidential work done?

      • Esmom says:

Kitten, Yes that was a horrifying clip of Trump and his ilk, wasn’t it? Love Serial, btw. Both seasons!

      • Kitten says:

@Esmom-Apparently we’re the only two people enjoying season 2 lol.
It’s just insane to me that people would applaud and cheer over the idea of our military essentially murdering one of our own.
It’s gross and barbaric as hell, man.

    • isabelle says:

This is a cake walk compared to the crazy ’60s and the early 20th century. Newspapers were bombed and set on fire at the time. Bombings and assignation attempts from Anarchists on politicians. America has always been a bit crazy when it comes to politics….but Trump is probably the most incompetent & inexperienced person that will end up with a nomination.

  3. What was that says:

At last ..even that awful network standing up to that creep and supporting their staff….better late than never..
    Could it change voters views?

    • Santia says:

I doubt it. His supporters are seeing him as a victim of the “media.” People on my Facebook timeline are all like “the more the media attacks him, the more I like him.” aarrggghhh!

      • Esmom says:

Aaarrrgh is right. I’m beginning to wonder if reverse psychology of some sort might work on his followers, because every other tactic only fuels their support.

      • nicole says:

Santia, his supporters almost seem brainwashed by him, as he said himself if he shot someone in times square they would still love him, its really creepy the power he seems to have over some people, i am still hoping they will wise up to him before its too late.

      • Malak says:

It’s another 7 months+ until the day of the election. I hope enough time for people to ‘get to know’ him better, before they vote.

    • Algernon says:

I doubt it changes their views so much as it prepares them to accept the GOP handing the nomination to someone else at the convention this summer. If the GOP has a brokered convention, they’ll have built up several months of GOP mouthpieces speaking out against Trump and highlighting all the reasons he’s a terrible candidate. My family is die hard conservative, and at this point even if Trump gets all the delegates, they’re totally fine with the idea of the GOP giving the nomination to someone else.

    • LadyMTL says:

Very little will change the minds of Trump supporters. Heck, at this point I think he could kick a puppy across a room and they’d still vote for him. Many of them see him as the “voice of the people” or some such nonsense, and will rabidly defend him regardless of what comes out of his mouth.

What freaks me out the most is that I actually agree with Fox Freaking News! Good for them for calling out Trump’s BS.

      • EM says:

You’re right and I can hear it already…. it was the puppy’s fault for getting in the way or didn’t you know the puppy was paid by Soros to deliberately provoke the confrontation. It was a paid puppy-disrupter.

      • Lady D says:

Isn’t this is the guy who said he could shoot someone in Times Square and wouldn’t be charged?

      • Kitten says:

        …and God forbid it’s a female puppy.
“This puppy is SO boring and SO ugly, it’s no wonder nobody cares about her. The only time people pay attention to this puppy is when I’m kicking her. So really, the puppy should thank me.”

      • gwen says:

        @Lady D
Trump said along with this silly statement that he wouldn’t lose any votes.

      • ExistingisExhausting says:

No gals, he’s good with puppies. He hires a lot of puppies. Puppies really like him, so its fine

      • EM says:

        Very funny Kitten.

  4. Oli says:

Doesn’t he have a sick obsession with everything.

@what was that no it couldn’t if you pay attention to the people who support him they obviously don’t care what he does (which is nothing) or what he says (which means nothing) his supporters (deranged fans who who are mentally unstable) do not care what so ever, to them he is a god.

    • BNA FN says:

Anyone noticed when Trump pretended he did not see that 78 year old white man sucker punching the young black man who was a protester at his rally, , yet he mentioned that he saw “The Black supporter” sucker punching and stomping a protester Saturday night. He was happy to mentioned that a black man was a supporter of his. DT is the lowest of the low. His first wife wrote that he beat her and raped her, later she recanted, I guess she was threatened or paid off by him. She also says he reads a book written by A Hitler and keep it on his night stand by his bed at night and follows it. Noticed that he never apologized, that’s a part of AH teaching. God help us if he ever gets anywhere near 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

      • Lady D says:

You know, as a Canadian I was alarmed about Bush because I thought he was going to lead all of us into WWIII. Didn’t know how good I had it.

      • nicole says:

Didnt he say he was going to pay his legal fees or something like that, this man is a complete disgrace, he has no morals at all, I think things are going to get a lot more violent in the coming months, this is just the start.

  5. The Eternal Side-Eye says:

Even without the attraction Megyn isn’t playing her role of sitting down and shutting up that he expects from women and its probably driving him insane. In his world women are predictable, obedient and easily cowed. He’s admitted numerous times how if a woman isn’t behaving then it’s time to get rid of her (divorce) so it probably especially grates that he can’t bully Megyn into submission and she has the nerve to try to criticize him.

    • Sasha says:

      NAILED!

    • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

Yes. He is enraged that he can’t control her.

    • Oli says:

Am I the only one who thinks Donald trump has a celebrity endorsement with Nabisco or whatever that cookie company is called. I think he gets money for talking about them, you know there are two people who are voting this election people who really hate trump and people who love him.

I think he gets money from the Nabisco company even though he talks badly about them because the people who really hate him will go out and by the products. And I also think this is just for publicity because have you noticed almost every time he says something it’s always a trump product, trump towers, trump steak.

I think this is a win win for him, he gets money from both sides. I think this is kinda fake him wanting to be president, but he benefits because he gets money and his much needed attention.

I have a feeling even though he is a huuuuge (lol) candidate now he will still drop out. And then unfortunately will be left with the rest of the idiots, but the biggest idiot will be gone so I guess there’s kinda of a sliver (plastic) lining.

      • Green_Eyes says:

I know Carson stepped down from the Costco board of directors to run for president.. there was a second major company that he sat on as one board of directors as well. For some reason I’m thinking it was Nabisco. Just thought that was odd, especially as Carson is now on the Trump train. God help us all if Trump gets in office. I am seriously nervous it really seems like around of people in my city & on Social media seem to drink his kool aid.

  6. Beckysuz says:

Ugh, he is such a disgusting person. An embarrassment of a man. Actually I think calling him a man is too nice. He’s an orange troll

    • nicole says:

you would think with all his ‘billions’ as he likes to remind everyone, that he could get a good spray tan that doesnt make him look like an overgrown oommppa loompa!

  7. Tiffany27 says:

The fragility of the male ego….

    • Carol says:

Ain’t that the truth. What’s going to happen when he meets Angela Merkel and she treats him like the idiot he is?

BTW – Trump kind of looks like an orange tabby kitten that just sneezed in that top pic. Kinda

    • isabelle says:

So true, they’re so fragile and often hate hearing the truth about themselves or being challenged with it. IMO way more emotional than females, yet we are called the emotinal ones.

  8. Brittney B. says:

I never thought I’d take the side of Fox News… but then again, this campaign has spawned a whole lot of “never have I ever”s…

  9. Maya says:

He has serious issues with beautiful, strong, intelligent and independent women full stop.

He attacked Megyn, Rosie, Angelina Jolie etc – women who have made it on their own and who probably won’t give a damn about Donald.

His spokeswoman Hope and his daughter Ivanka should be ashamed supporting this male chauvinist bastard.

    • K says:

Wait what did he say about Joilie? He attacked her and her father still backed him?

Wow and Voight wonders why they have issues.

Donald trump is a insecure loser- deep down he knows he isn’t smart, he knows he wouldn’t be the success he is if it wasn’t handed to him, he also knows no one would give him the time of day without his $$. This is why he constantly attacks women and minorities because he’s terrified that if he doesn’t hold them back he will be shown up that he won’t be able to compete. If he was truly as great as he said he not only want he’d fight for an equal level playing field.

    • Goo says:

The word beautiful, and Rosie, clearly do not belong in the same sentence….

      • swak says:

Did you really just say that?

      • TAXX says:

OK Rosie O may never be known for her stunning beauty, but she’s still a female that challenged ‘The Donald’, and even more called him on his stupid hair and nasty attitude. His response showed not one ounce of self-awareness. He REALLY thinks he looks good, and women chase him for his gorgeousness.

    • Naya says:

I can tell you the only way a daughter can survive a father like this is through Stockholm syndrome. Can you imagine the obstacles he has placed in her way all her life, the pressure she must have be under to meet his definition of “worthy woman”, whether its in her appearance or her conduct? I have no doubt she (and Eminems daughter) bear deep scars but have had to finds ways to disguise them or else lose their fathers “love”. I sympathise deeply with these women.

    • Maya says:

@Goo: beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I think Rosie is beautiful

@K: yeah he attacked Angelina a few years ago for no reason and yes her father supports him. People have been saying for years that John was right about Angelina and she should forgive. But now people can clearly see who John is and they now understand why Angelina only has contact with him for her children’s sake.

You are right about Donald and his insecurities – this man bullied his way up and cannot handle if people he considers beneath him (women and other minirities) to challenge. He is petrified that a woman might become the president of USA and he will have to salut to her.

      • K says:

Yep first a black man who saved the country from the brink, we have more to do but lord look what was done and now a woman!! That is more then an insecure little nothing like him can handle. If they can do it without all the advantages and privliege what does that mean for him?

  10. Jenns says:

Am I suppose to praise Fox News for this? Because no. They are only sticking up for her now because she’s a pretty blonde on their team.

Think they would say anything is Trump was going after Rachel Maddow like this?

    • Lilacflowers says:

And is Fox doing anything about Kelly’s co-worker O’Reilly, who allowed Drumpf to bash Kelly while interviewing him?

      • pinetree13 says:

A little off-topic but your post reminded me, that it’s weird how the media usually refers to people by their last name but for some reason the article’s about Megyn Kelly, they often refer to her as Megyn and Donald Trump as Trump. It stood out to me as just one more little sexist part of every-day life…

    • Who ARE these people? says:

If he’s in position to attack Hillary Clinton … ugh. He’s a controlling and abusive man.

  11. Alex says:

Like Obama said in a speech…Fox News was okay with the vitriol they spewed on a daily basis as long as it was aimed at him or anyone else. Now that its aimed a their fragile snowflake its a problem. Whatever I don’t feel sorry for Kelly at all and it doesn’t make me side with Fox at all.

    • nicole says:

Alex, I agree, I hate the way they make Obama out to be the devil incarnate, and I imagine they will treat Hillary the same if she becomes President.

  12. SloaneY says:

Trump doesn’t like any woman he can’t control. And he hates women that challenge him.

    • Tiffany says:

Yep. He told a story about how his wife and daughters told him not that he has a chance at the nomination, he should have a more presidential image. He told them he does noy want to and is not going to.

Did anyone read the quote he said in 1998 about the Republican Party. He basically said he would lie and it would be eaten up by the voters and he would be extremely popular.

      • KWM says:

Oh it is not just his kids, there are those high up in the party that are trying to groom him and work on his speeches and he just can’t do. A few of his last speeches were written by long standing GOP members, and the first part will be fine but then he just has to get in his little swipe. He just can’t help himself. Thats what is scary even if he were to surround himself with the best and the brightest cabinet and advisers, his ego and narcissism will prevent him from listening, taking their advice. If he can’t read a simple speech without having to add in the low blows, cheap shots and comments, it is terrifying to think what he would do in the war room.

  13. K says:

Well at least Fox News is doing the right thing here, have to be honest I was pretty sure they’d make her the fall guy in this trump mess. Not a lot of faith in the system.

I do wish that now with this the media all media would stop with the coverage! and if they are going to it would be critical! I mean seriously we have the head of CBS admitting trump is bad for America but good for ratings so he’s putting him on, on Super Tuesday 3 they covered 45 minutes of empty stage instead of Bernie Sanders speech and this was before they knew how bad he lost!

Don’t even get me started on the night he came out claiming his steak, magazine, water businesses were all running and the media DELAYED Hillary and didn’t fact check the sick twisted man.

He has released an economic plan that would cripple the economy, destroy trade, give China an economic strong hold like you couldn’t believe, make products so expensive no American could afford them and he hasn’t been questioned. Mexico has refused to pay for his racist unnecessary wall yet no question- no demanding explanation.

Hillary couldn’t get this coverage or passes.
Obama couldn’t either. Heck Kaisch can’t buy airtime and everything he says is fact checked to high heaven as it should be. But not trump!

I’m glad Fox News stood up for Megyn Kelly, like I’ve said a lot I find her views appalling, but she did her job in questioning trump and should not be subject to these horrifying, slanderous, sexist and frankly with his supporters dangerous attacks.

  14. Naya says:

Like….. whats his end game here? To shun one single anchor for giving him less positive coverage and take the risk of having ALL the anchors give you negative coverage over it??? We know he hates women but what kind of self defeatist idiocy is this?

  15. Talie says:

The irony is that this has turned her into a huge star.

    • Nancy says:

True. I don’t think she believes it though. Her arrogance suggests she already thought of herself as a star. The only difference now is her name is recognized because of him, but she’ll go back into Fox obscurity and sell coffee mugs with her likeness on them like O’Reilly once the campaign (please God). is over. He gave Rosie O’Donnell more hate than this, it’s what he does. I find it a bit of a stretch to think he would pursue the “beautiful” Kelly. Have you seen his wife? I hate media wars especially between two parties I dislike so intensely.

    • The Eternal Side-Eye says:

See, I actually think Trump has screwed her chances a little and she knows it.

Through all of this Fox only defended Kelly when it was the absolute last straw and she has admitted her fellow co-workers hadn’t come to her defense like she’d have liked. Megyn is pure Fox grade entertainment like Stacey Dash. She can’t just transition to another news channel after all her silly prior rants like Santa being white. Fox was her home and she was the hot blonde reporter in the spotlight.

Since going toe to toe with Trump she’s lost a good part of her fanbase and completely changed her styling and appearance opting for a more mature subdued look.

      • BNA FN says:

I don’t watch Fox, so I don’t know if she lost any of her Fox base, what I do know is, she signed a book deal for $10m. So I’m sure she is laughing all the way to the bank, and that must have droved him more insane, lol.

    • Tiffany :) says:

No, she was already a huge star. She already had one of the top rated shows on her network.

  16. Beatrice says:

Although Trump needs to quit the Megan attacks, I don’t feel sorry for her one bit–she’s an overrated smarty pants who acts like an inquisitor to her guests. But she’s Fox’s special snowflake and has the highest rated news show on TV as she frequently reminds her viewers.

    • nicole says:

Beatrice, I agree, dont like her personality, she’s too cocky and a bit too over confident, but at least she stood up toTrump.

  17. Lama Bean says:

I am no Fox supporter and will never be, but I like how Megyn Kelly is ignoring him on social media and still doing her job (even though I don’t agree with her views). It’s making his blood boil. And it cracks me up.

His supporters are the same folks who have supported him from day 1, no more and no less. He’s not gaining new ones, so I’m comforted in the idea that he won’t pick up steam if he makes the general election.

I swear-this election is picking the lesser of 20 evils.

  18. Kiki says:

People of USA. Forgive me for saying this, but your people are stupid.

    • Trillion says:

There are stupid people here, yes. Fortunately, we don’t all brush with a stroke as broad as yours.

      • Kitten says:

Sadly it’s comments like Kiki’s that perpetuate this fallacy that the majority of Americans support Trump.

I mean..just look at the comments here. We all love him, right? 😉

    • The Eternal Side-Eye says:

Not all of us, but better or worse Trump’s fanbase is majority poorly educated blue collar workers and below. They’re not the smartest people and he speaks to them on a 4th grade level to appeal to them.

      • BNA FN says:

Didn’t Donald say he “love poorly educated”. Thank God they are not the majority.

      • The Eternal Side-Eye says:

Wouldn’t you love the poorly educated if you were a megalomaniac with a desire to get revenge on everyone who’s ever pissed you off?

Many reporters who have gone to Donald Trump rallies say they’re totally devoid of substance. He says a buzzword, the crowd cheers mindlessly, he doesn’t have to produce any details. It’s actually some super-villain type stuff.

    • K says:

It’s currently less the 12 or 16% of the general population that support the man- hardly an inditment on America. This isn’t our finest hour but lord it’s not the entire country.

    • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

And where are you from, Kiki, this land of geniuses? It must be lovely to come a country of perfection. Do tell us. We probably won’t recognize the name, because of our stupidity and everything, but it can perhaps be the cornerstone of a new education for us.

    • isabelle says:

Where is this Utopia you imagine where politicians are perfect with no crazy citizens?

  19. NeoCleo says:

One of the big talents on Fox. BFD

  20. Lilacflowers says:

John Oliver’s coverage on Trump’s Wall last night is what every political journalist should be doing.

    • K says:

Thank god for John Oliver! Honestly I mean he is a comedian but he is going hard on this reminds me of Stewart.

The legitimate news media needs to follow suit if they want to be trusted.

      • Who ARE these people? says:

They’ve had more than 2 decades to lose trust — don’t see them stopping anytime soon. If anything the desperation for revenue will only heighten their bias.

      • Lilacflowers says:

Seriously, he is the only one asking questions that actually matter: what is the size of the wall? What will the wall be made from? How much will it cost? Where will it be? Are there accessibility issues with construction? Can’t people just climb over or tunnel under? Ever hear of ladders and rope? What if the land is privately owned? What do Mexicans think about paying for it? (Vincente Fox’s reaction was awesome) Didn’t we spend money on a fence? What happened to the fence?

      • Christin says:

Critical thinking seems to have gone far away, so thank goodness Oliver is trying to make voters stop and actually think.

  21. Daria Morgendorffer says:

This is by no means a defense of Donald Trump, but isn’t it telling that Fox News only made a statement on Trump’s need to bash Megyn Kelly after he called for a boycott of her show? They don’t care about her, they’re just worried that some of their demographic might follow Trump’s commands and their ratings might dip.

Donald Trump’s inability to control himself and/or his anger is terrifying. We don’t need that in the White House.

    • Neelyo says:

Bingo! It’s all about the ratings. The second her ratings drop they’ll treat her like a middle-aged brunette.

    • FingerBinger says:

Fox doesn’t care about a ratings dip. They don’t like Donald Trump. They don’t want him as the republican nominee. Megyn Kelly is part of their plan to try to get him out of the race.

      • The Eternal Side-Eye says:

See I disagree with that, they care a lot about ratings. More than almost any other station Trump has repeatedly bashed Fox and they have repeatedly courted his favor afterwards. Since the man never stops talking he always eagerly tells the media when he’s being treated ‘unfairly’ and how th Fox News Head personally called him to try to smooth things over. Or even when he was threatening to skip he debate and his daughter and wife said that Fox had gone through nearly every channel to beg them to persuade him to show up.

They definitely don’t want him to be President but they care a lot about ratings and not pissing off his/their fanbase.

  22. lizzie says:

Fox News is partially to blame for the political atmosphere that created the sh*t cloud that is Donald Trump’s political platform. They can’t go back on it now b/c he is picking on “their” network babe.

    • Who ARE these people? says:

Is Rupert Murdoch still on his honeymoon? What would happen if Trump went after him? Nah, never gonna happen.

      • FingerBinger says:

Trump isn’t going to go after Rupert Murdoch or Roger Ailes. Megyn Kelly is low hanging fruit. He knows who to bully.

    • K says:

You are completely right, Fox News and the GOP caused this and they can’t bring themselves to admit it. If this wasn’t scary for the country I would enjoy the karma.

That being said no matter how much fox or the GOP deserve trump America doesn’t and I hate seeing a woman attacked for doing her job, especially if she is doing it well.

    • BNA FN says:

Not only Fox News, the Morning Joe show catered to DT for months. He was on the air every morning. Joe and Mika covered him like he was the second coming of Christ, they even helped him by giving him easy questions and never challenged his answers. Most of the other Cabel News channel covered him daily listened to his lies. He got over a billion dollars of free coverage from all of them. If the reporters don’t kiss his rear end he turn on them with his childish name calling. They created a monster, let’s see how they go forward now that the Republican Party is at war with themselves.

      • K says:

Exactly! The news media give him free coverage like no other my god les mooves even said that trump is bad for America but great for CBS’ ratings so they would beat this into the ground.

The anchors condone the violence but the love it and stoke it all of them. The GOP and fox have spent seven years building this up; trump blew it wide open and the networks are loving the ride.

The only people not are the America citizens we are in trouble.

      • The Eternal Side-Eye says:

Well it ended up blowing up in Morning Joe’s face. I believe him and Mika are under investigation for how much they were privately involved with Trump and have been snipping in anger at how they’re being mocked as being on his team or supporting him.

There was also a private communications revealed of all the ‘favors’ Trump has done for news casters and members of the media. Pretty pathetic stuff.

  23. geneva says:

Sad thing is…if you want to get a ‘profile’ of a Donald Trump supporter look no further than the Hillbilly Weatherman. Although he is funny as he gives the weather with his N.H. accent..he also is the iconic everyman, blue color, ‘neighborly’ American – patriotic, self-sufficient, etc. and they respond to Drumpf…it is too bad. Its like they are rejecting the people who are actually more like them than they realize…moderates and dems. See the t-shirt.and the whole vibe http://wblm.com/watch-latest-hillbilly-weather/

    • KWM says:

There have been some really good articles of late on why we are where we are with Trump. And there is blame enough on both sides.

If it wasn’t so serious and scary it would be funny.

But Trump has managed to tap into those who for decades have felt unheard from both parties. Who don’t trust anyone who is considered an insider, that both sides play dirty and with the party decides the candidate no one can ever get a fair shot at being the President.

While I will never in a million years support Trump I will admit I can see it. If you are disillusioned with the establishment and you see what is happening in both parties. If you think the fix is already in. And then you see what is the democratic party shoving Hillary down your throat or the Republicans trying to get people to support and rally behind Cruz. And if you have had years of working harder, longer and not getting ahead, doing everything you are supposed to do that is the American dream, with less money that before, I get it. I can see why the people you would never think would support him are.

But I keep thinking how can they not see him for what he is???? There has to be someone who could have appealed to the anti-establishment people who is not a megalomaniac narcissistic misogynist asshat.

      Or maybe there isn’t?????

      • The Eternal Side-Eye says:

Tbh I read your comment very carefully and I feel that at the end of the day it sometimes comes down to laziness on the voters parts. Trump is a problem, but he is a problem that didn’t simply come out of the desire for someone anti-establishment. The Republican Party itself quite obviously made a choice right around the time of McCain to endorse and promote ‘everyman’ individuals who could appeal to a segment of the population that was poorly educate and easily manipulated. Sarah Palin and Joe the Plumber weren’t just for funsies, it was deliberate attempts to shore up a dwindling base after Bush’s presidency. Anyone with common sense knows the animal used in the circus show always turns on its trainer but Republicans were too desperate and arrogant to believe it. They figured they’d have both their puppets and the public pulled on strings for a long time. Ttump’s supporters are very very poorly educated, they are blue collar, they don’t want plans or details and they appreciate that he speaks to them on a 4th grade level (all this has been studied) add to it that he ratchets up the Republican parties previous blushes with xenophobia, racism and classicism and you have a huge population that is just begging for an incredibly well educated destructive con man like Trump to swoop in and make them promises he can’t keep and mock how he could shoot someone in broad daylight and they’d still love him.

Sometimes unheard voices are unheard for a reason. We have and have to admit to having a large segment of the population that is racist, angry, and scared. They feel assaulted from all sides with the ‘PC’ culture and the terrorist. They feel their problems come down to all these brown people ruining what used to be a good country. Mexicans taking their jobs, Muslims with their head scarfs and funny accents, blacks showing up to their protests. We’re seeing the reality of an America no one has been able to properly address even till today.

      • BNA FN says:

To me it’s more than DT followers are disillusioned not having jobs, ect. We are 4.5% unemployed rate in the US. Some people have 2-3 jobs. The jobs are there. DT import people from Mexico to work in his hotels. Why don’t he give some of these jobs to Americans? He makes his clothes in Mexico and China, he should keep the factories in the USA. IMO, these people are racist and angry Because the country is changing. DT slogan, “Make America Great Again” is a code for “Make America White Again”.

      • Tiffany :) says:

I disagree that the Dems are “shoving Hillary down your throat”. She has genuine support, she is getting votes and winning elections.

      • SloaneY says:

@bna- the # of jobs isn’t necessarily the problem. It’s that they don’t pay any more than they did 30 years ago, but the cost of everything has risen exponentially. People have 2-3 jobs because they have to to survive. The middle class is pretty dead. This is the first generation since WW2 that know they won’t have it as good as their parents, and may have it quite worse. People are worried, and rightfully so.
It’s just that these people fall into 2 camps. Racist idiots who want to kick everybody out or shoot everyone, and those who want to help everyone get to at least a low baseline level through basic healthcare and getting a little money out of the 1% and funneling it back into the lower and middle classes.

  24. Breakfast Margaritas says:

Fox news and talk radio created the entire environment in which a loudmouth hateful con like Trump could thrive. He is their own monster. I have very little interest or sympathy for Megyn Kelly after she displayed none toward the bikini clad teenager in McKinney TX manhandled and sat on by a cop at a pool party. Megyns words were “She’s no saint”. I’ll never forget that.

    • Jo 'Mama' Besser says:

      +1

    • The Eternal Side-Eye says:

      +2

It’s like watching a pile of crap canibalize itself. She, her party, and its news station deserve this.

    • Breakfast Margaritas says:

She should have spoken up for the teen girl in a bikini instead of villainizing her and essentially saying she’s no saint so she deserves to be slung around like a rag doll. You can’t demand respect or sensitivity if you have zero f_cks to give when bad things happen to other women.

    • Danskins says:

“…no woman deserves to be sexually harassed.”

And no one deserves to be physically harassed because of their race, especially a young teenage girl.

As a woman of color, I found Megyn’s distinct lack of empathy towards that child to be completely offensive and something that shouldn’t be forgotten about her.

  25. Jo 'Mama' Besser says:

Fox cares enough about her to misspell her name.

  26. kori says:

And the behavior of his campaign manager who manhandled Breibart.com reporter Michelle Fields. No apologies just excuses. The failure of senior Breitbart execs to support her has led to several resignations including Fields. They totally threw their own reporter under the bus to suck up to Trump.

  27. jsilly4e says:

Doesn’t he want to take away freedoms of speech and freedom of press? (Among a lot of other things.) doesn’t he want to be able to sue people that say and write negative things about you? Isn’t that what he’s doing? He did it to Mitt Romney the other day implying that he’s not a Mormon.

Meanwhile all she’s ever done is ask him questions that he doesn’t know how to answer without being a prejudiced, racist mysoginistic loud mouth. He never answers a question without just using adjectives. Because he does not know any facts or the first thing to be President of the United States. The funny thing is he spouts all these lies and horrible things and then lies about it and has people call the media liars but it’s all either in writing, recorded or on video!!! How do people not see this?!? I fee like I’m taking crazy pills.

  28. Skins says:

You know, at first I was amused by the whole Trump thing, thinking it might not be a bad idea, if nothing else these other nutso countries would think twice about messing with us with this maniac in the white house, but man, he has just taken it to another level of ridiculousness and there is just no way I could support this idiot. I don’ t like or trust Hillary either, so I would be open to some kind of 3rd party candidate but who?

  29. Stephanie says:

Who is Megyn Kelly going to vote for? Trump is most likely to get the Republican nomination, and she is a Republican.

  30. lowercaselois says:

i think the Donald is obsessed with Megyn Kelly because he really likes her. I remember when I was little and a boy would punch me in the arm or tease me, my mom would say that boys really don’t know how to express their true feelings to girls or they are embarrassed to tell a girl they like you, so they tease or hit you. This must be true for Donald. I mean his mentality is the same, isn’t it ?.

    • Lambda says:

Those boys were being aggressive and getting away with it. I can understand your mom protecting your feelings, but aggression should not be rationalized, especially in gender terms. It’s irrelevant whether Trump likes the Kelly woman or not, he’s a bully and a pig.
To add: Trump’s supporters are mystifyingly stupid to me. No, his supporters are not the cliche blue collar dispossessed. Well, not only. His support base straddles income and education groups. It’s baffling that so many are swallowing up his dumbed down talk.

    • isabelle says:

Nope, he is just an arsehole when it comes to women, especially to those he can’t buy or control.

  31. tw says:

EWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. He is so creepy. And really, isn’t “crazy” so typical as a descriptor the moment a woman turns down a man? How juvenile and unoriginal.

  32. Soprana says:

Add to this his comments about Eva Longoria:

“Short women come up to you know where.”

  33. feebee says:

His obsession with her is like high-brow stalking. Very creeepy. He continues to struggle with his inability to see irony in his statements. Never mind MK’s ratings tanking if she stopped talking about him – if he talked like a normal person instead of a racist, sexist, xenophobic narcissist I suspect his ratings would tank also.

  34. Colette says:

Just imagine if this idiot becomes POTUS and gets upset with German Chancellor Angela Merkel. How will he insult her? God help us all.

  35. CoKatie says:

As a long time Democrat I am thoroughly enjoying watching the Republican Party and its major mouthpiece (Fox News) implode. The chicken has come home to roost, Mr Cheney. DT is the genie they cannot put back in the bottle.

As for MK, I have a shameful confession to make: my current beau is a DT supporter and was previously in the throes of love with MK until now, that is. Because of the boyfriend, I HAVE been watching Fox (don’t ask, I get my own back in other ways! ). I have not ever been a fan of MK. I have found her to be a bully, a racist and someone who likes to stir up trouble. I went to work in the Finance industry in NYC in the ’80’s. Trust me. I have seen, and have personally experienced sexual harassment and bigotry. I have made it a personal journey in my life to break that glass ceiling, and ALWAYS lend a hand to the women coming up behind me, and walking beside me. To my own detriment.

With that said, NO, I will not get on MK’s current bandwagon of “the mean little orange man is saying bad things about me; won’t someone PLEASE protect me?”. No, Girlfriend, bat your eyes at someone else. Because I’ve been watching Fox, I can tell you that she IS trolling Trump. Of course, yes, she HAS to talk about him since he is news. But her entire program, every night, seems to be ONLY about him – and her slyly playing the victim. I just can’t with her. I’m sorry. Did Rosie need some big, strong man to come to her defense? Did Jolie? Do I? No. I can handle an idiot like him on my own.

Fox News WAS slow in coming to her defense. And that is appalling for any employer. I seriously thought her days were numbered. She IS costing them ratings, and that is their bottom line. I don’t see this as ending well for her since, as someone up thread noted, she is well established as a Fox Blonde Babe. I don’t see any other serious network wanting to pick her up. She’s a creation of the Fox channel and the strange air they breathe. She’s dead in the water out here where we rely on oxygen.

And say what you will about Hillary (and i am WELL aware of the many choices you would have there), but she stands on her own 2 feet, she is not myopic in her views, and she knows how to compromise and cross the aisle. I’ll save my support for her rather than MK.

  36. TotallyBiased says:

Fox co-created this national nightmare. Megyn Kelly helped. Drumpf is still garbage for (a thousand reasons! But also) his classically Game style reaction to her present ‘rejection’.
Though she’s still giving him a lot of attention, he should appreciate that.

  37. Izzy says:

Like any raging narcissist, he is enraged that he can’t have his plaything. Someone just needs to drop a bus on him.

  38. OCGAL999 says:

Sorry but I believe Megyn has a sick obsession w Trump!

  39. anna says:

Did anyone notice the comment he made to Sarah Palin during her last bizarre speech about him. He not so quietly said to her (in regards to her injured husband Todd) “you dont have to worry about him-not anymore”. Ewww so creepy

  40. Naddie says:

Ah, let’s give him a pass, he’s jut 12… Oh, wait.

  41. Dangles says:

I love that the leading Republican candidate and the Fox Network are at each other’s throats. It’s fantastic. Now the ruling elite’s are getting a taste of divide and conquer. Enjoy!

“Donald Trump’s vitriolic attacks against Megan Kelly and his extreme, sick obsession with her is beneath the dignity of a presidential candidate who wants to occupy the highest office in the land,”

Bill Clinton certainly carried himself with a lot dignity in the Oval Office, didn’t he? And don’t even get me started on that halfwit Bush.

  42. WTF says:

I don’t feel sorry for her at all. She’s a proud ‘non’ feminist that is being more harshly attacked for her gender. Karma is a b$tch. And she has built her career fanning the flames of hate and intolerance with slight of hand, misinformation and flat out lies. Sound familiar?
You made your racist misogynistic bed, now lay in it and shut up while the rest of us work on defeating trump.

  43. Juniper says:

Fox only has itself to blame. It has spent decades laying the fertile ground from which a Trump would arise. It created the Trump supporters, who are only educated with its unbalanced and hate mongoring presentations. Serves them right.

  44. Lillylizard says:

I’m not an American but occasionally see her on TV, she’s OK but nothing special and really seems to have no gravitas, there are so many more adroit female reporters and analysts in the world wide news media. I always find it so distracting that she dresses like she’s about to go to an opera gala everytime I see her , weird.
