Mariah Carey’s manager bringing behind the scenes drama to ‘Mariah’s World’

Delicate, glittery butterfly Mariah Carey’s new “don’t call it a reality show,” Mariah’s World, won’t air for at least a few months, but in the mere two weeks since the show started filming, the drama has already begun.

The new show, which is airing on E! because of course it is, is set to follow the 45-year-old singer as she tours in Europe and South Africa. The show will also follow Mariah as she walks down the aisle for the third time to marry Aussie billionaire James Packer. Mariah has already spoken to the press about it, refusing to call the series a reality show. Well, that could be accurate now, if accusations about her alleged barracuda of a manager are to be believed.

According to an article on Page Six, Mariah’s manager, Stella Bulochnikov, is taking over her client’s life and not in a good way. It’s reported that her business manager, publicists, travel manager and even her stylist are heading out the door. A source close to the situation told Page Six, “It seems as if Mariah has allowed a complete stranger, her new manager, to run her life, and others believe this woman is toxic. Seasoned executives in their profession don’t want to put up with her.”

Well, now, we can’t blame it all on Stella. From her past behavior, Mariah won’t be getting a “World’s Best Boss” coffee mug anytime soon. When she took her family to Disneyland last year, she had her assistant follow her around with an umbrella and forced one of her burly bodyguards to tote a Louis Vuitton vanity case around – because, when you are surrounded by t-shirt and flip flop-clad tourists munching on turkey legs, you have to look your best, I guess. But, the diva admitted herself that she likes to be “taken care of.”

Mariah, who has spoken out about her dislike of “abusive” overhead lighting is already making life miserable for the show’s crew. According to reports from the set, “Mariah is demanding editorial control. She is very particular about her image and controls everything from her lighting to the side of her face she wants shot. She is treating filming like a Spielberg movie, not a cheap cable reality show.”

For her part, Stella, who was introduced to Mariah by director Brett Ratner, seems to be contributing to the discord on the set. According to Page Six, “Stella has been using the TV platform to bad-mouth former people on the team on camera…She’s turning it into a reality show. She’s creating scenarios, and it’s not all about the shows in Vegas as she’s claimed. The show will definitely be trashy because it’s full of lies.”

Trashy? Full of lies? Isn’t that every reality show? When E! first announced this show, I had zero interest in watching it, but now, I can’t wait.

Perhaps this woman was mariahs hired mouth piece. Perhaps it’s how the divine Mimi really feels.

  2. Neelyo says:

The only reason I’d watch is if they showed the behind the scenes machinations of Mariah getting into one of her mini dresses.

  3. stinky says:

Why-o-why did I think her new billion$ might buy her an ounce of class?
Regardless, she’s not looked this great in decades, imo.
    GO MIMI, go!!!

I met Stella 2 years ago. She is a trashy AF whack job. She didn’t show up to two meetings with networks, she was constantly trying to tie in her trashy friends to a reality type show instead of a scripted show, and all she did was name drop how she was friends with Shaqs wife and (gross) Michael Vick’s wife. Her children are vile creatures who are mini versions of her – trashy, obnoxious, spoiled rotten brats. How she has any clout in the industry is beyond me. She makes Brand Glanville look like Helen Miren. Her shows are all trashy and gaudy, she wears a playboy bunny necklace and she’s in her what, late 40s? Too tight dresses that I didn’t even wear when I was 20, 5 inch hooker stilettos, no one takes this woman seriously. She is a parody of the worst parts of the entertainment biz.

Hmmm….this should be interesting but not for the reasons stated above. It will be interesting because Mimi is very insecure and photo shops the hell out of her album covers and any photos meant for promotion. If we’re to believe what’s been written about her, her stylists actually cut the labels out of her garments because she’s in denial about what size she wears, so they eliminate any provocation of a tantrum. How is this body insecurity going to play out on camera? The last company for whom she sponsored their product (promotional ad), the company was extremely unhappy with the final outcome because Mariah didn’t like the way she looked in the commercial and had the editors cut almost all of her body shots out so the public only saw her from the bust up. Curious to see how she navigates actual filming of her.

They’re going to use glass from the skinny mirror for the camera lens.

You heard about the skinny mirrors used in clothing stores right? A lot of shops are using them to deceive shoppers.

      • Wellsie says:

Um ya, I love those mirrors! Guess I have a little in common with Mariah. Lucky me!!!

2-Controlling fame-hungry whack job manager, check

    3-Eccentric billionaire boyfriend, check

4-Nonstop stupid rich people drama, check

Yeah I’ll be tuning in; first few episodes anyhoo

    • V4Real says:

All is about right except number 1. Mariah was a 90’s super diva.

80’s would be Madonna but she has to get her own show.

I don’t get it. She is marrying a billionaire. Why is she doing this? She doesn’t need the money. Reality shows are the lowest form of TV. If she wants to act get on a show like Empire. If I was her, I would stay home and count her husbands money.
