As previewed in the earlier post, Prince William and Prince Harry added a last-minute event to today’s schedule. The Kensington Palace Twitter announced yesterday that William and Harry would be visiting Pinewood Studios, specifically to see the set of Star Wars VIII. They are being shown around by Daisy Ridley. They’re also meeting Mark Hamill/Luke Skywalker! So far, all of the photos from their visit have just been put on the KP Twitter, and I would imagine that – much like so many of the Cambridges’ “work” these days – the only photos from this event will be pre-approved by KP and Poor Jason. Because apparently William and his staff like to micromanage to that extent.
So, is it worth it to see Prince Harry and William playing with lightsabers? It’s sort of worth it to see Harry, who looks absolutely DELICIOUS here. But considering it’s the real Star Wars set, I would have expected higher-quality-looking lightsabers. Those things just look like toys! Still, you can tell that Harry is making the “juzzzz, juzzzz” lightsaber noise.
If you follow the KP Twitter, you might have noticed that they had to announce more events for Harry coming up – he’ll be attending three events in one day next week! He’ll be laying a wreath at the Cenotaph in honor of Anzac Day. You can read more about it here.

I really needed some Harry after the WK overdose last week. He does look delish.
And now I am imagining Harry as a ginger Jedi speeding around the Galaxy, fighting bad guys. If the prince gig doesn’t work for him, he actually has the charisma and personality to make it big in HW. I have always liked him, but never had the hots for him until now. I am just a sucker for SW though so combining that nerdy love with adorable Harry… Great stuff. That other bald dude for once is smiling. I guess that counts as a win😜

This was probably the first time William’s PR got out-micromanaged by someone else. Because SW/Disney is going to make darn sure nothing is leaked to the public they don’t want leaked.
ITA and in the video clip you could hear the photographers cameras clicking off so you know there was a press pack there BUT any photos they take will have to be approved by Disney first, NOT William.

I haven’t seen the new Star Wars yet but Star Wars: A New Hope is the first movie I remember seeing (at six years old)! I remember wanting to be a girl version of Luke Skywalker 😉
I didn’t really appreciate Han Solo until my teens.
@ArtHistorian I just watched the original trilogy with my kid for the first time since I was a kid–and WOW suddenly appreciating Han Solo in a way I never did before 🙂

Workshy seems to light up when his brother is around. I have noticed this before. He helped him with his bags when he was being deployed and he looked similarly relaxed. A little sad really.
On another note they are having fun and doing something I would love to do. Hug Chewie.

It must be the sinus infection getting to me, because I almost feel bad for Will having to come out and put on a happy face when he and his wife are being told off in the press. Except that he brought it on himself and the event he came out to do was fun, so never mind.
