Katy Perry wonders ‘Is that all there is?’ after Orlando & Selena’s Vegas hookup

Nearly a week ago, Selena Gomez and Orlando Bloom were getting “cozy” in Las Vegas. There were photos, and from what I could see… I don’t know, the vibe I got was “more than friends.” Some people think it looked like Selena was sort of drunk and all over Orlando. Some think that maybe they just hugged and talked for a moment and that was it. And some believe that Selena and Orlando crossed some kind of line, especially since he’s seemingly in a serious relationship with Katy Perry. Katy and Orly were serious enough that he was her date (sort of) to the Met Gala. Which is pretty serious. So how is Katy taking it? Does she think Orlando cheated? Katy tweeted this late last night:

Which just reminds me of how much I love Peggy Lee. She had a great, crisp voice. But the point is probably that Katy has been disappointed by a lover yet again. After Russell Brand, John Mayer, Diplo and now Orlando Bloom, Katy is just… disappointed. Sad. Is that all there is? And yes, I think she’s probably saying that she’s done with Orlando. For now. Katy likes to go back to ex-lovers, so while I think she probably broke up with Bloom, it’s not the end.

I wonder if she already called John.

Are we sure Katie’s not saying ” is that all there is?” like, this is no biggie? I didn’t think the pics were much of an indictment of a anything other than a sloppy hello

    • Wiffie says:

I don’t know. If I saw my husband in pics like those, I would not be happy. Those look guilty enough for me.

      • Bettyrose says:

But Wiffie , it’s not her husband, and it’s a culture where everyone hooks up with each other all the time. IDK, I also took it as her saying it’s no big deal.

If I’m wrong, then once again let me say I don’t get why these women never date any of the multitudes of non-celebrity men who would worship them.

    • Myrna says:

      I don’t think that’s the case, anniefannie.
It’s a pretty dramatic post if she’s simply saying the Selena thing was nothing.
She’d have best ignored it, right?

I take her post of this iconic song as an expression of heartbreak.

There’s no room now for a debate as to what those pics were about.

    • M says:

      That was my thought too

    • TheOtherViv says:

yes, I agree, she will probably pretend it was nothing and hold on to him for dear life. I think she sees him as her greatest conquest yet.
Bet she didn’t think her Met outfit would scare him THAT MUCH.
      Sure did.

  3. Nancy says:

Wow if he is being a douche this early in the relationship, run for the hills. Like Kelly above said she has terrible taste in men, but worse luck. She is financially secure, talented and pretty. There’s somebody waiting for her out there, but I hope it isn’t Orlando.

  4. Jayna says:

    Poor Katy.

  5. HH says:

Umm… I would feel bad, buuuuuttttttt Russell Brand, John Mayer, and Diplo… Not exactly the best choices/taste. Orlando is the only one cute enough out of that bunch to even take a chance with. But even he’s given me douche vibes since his breakup with Miranda Kerr.

  6. JenniferJustice says:

What is up with the goth trend she’s been into lately? It isn’t flattering and she really is a cute girl. She gets on my nerves and she has no instincts or common sense when it comes to men, but she is a pretty lady – great eyes, pretty hair, nice curvy body….why ruin it with these stupid Elvira looks? I realize she’s always been campy and cartoonish in a kid way – like everyday she’s dressing for a guest spot on Sesame Street, but at least they were kid-geared costumes. Now she just looks dark and evil. Yuck.

    • Leah says:

Isn’t this from a themed costume party (The met ball)? I don’t think thats her usual style.

    • Wiffie says:

Not as flattering, I agree, but we are all free to be weird. Even if it’s not pretty.

    • Veronica says:

That was her look for the Met Ball. Hardly indicative of her usual style.

    • Carol says:

Her look at the Met ball could have been so much better. That goth makeup wouldn’t have looked that bad if she wasn’t wasn’t wearing that horrific hairdo. IMO I would have styled her hair differently, with it down and more natural. But nobody looks good with an ottoman on their head.

  7. Bridget says:

It’s not like she’s making the best choices in her partners.

    • Susan says:

I agree. To quote the Millionaire Matchmaker, “her picker is broken.” I do feel for her though, because I’ve heard it’s tough once you’re famous, to find people that are truly interested in you for you and not your fame, money, ESPECIALLY as a female.

Hell, even in my little world, females w advanced degrees, great jobs, money, etc., have a lot more trouble meeting a good solid guy that isnt threatened by their success or a male gold digger than their average earning/less successful counterparts. I don’t care what ANYONE says, in my experience SEXISM IS ALIVE AND WELL especially in the dating world.

  8. Leah says:

What 40 year old man is close friends with Selena Gomez anyway? Bloom is basically an ageing pretty boy he doesn’t come across as particularly bright nor talented, what he had going for him was the notion that he is a nice guy, now that thats gone, i can’t see many redeeming factors. Not even for a woman with Katys Perrys questionable taste in men. At least Mayer and Brand has a semblance of intelligence and talent.

    • Kitten says:

Generally agree but I would argue that Brand has more than a semblance of intelligence. JMO

  9. missmerry says:

that stupid tweet reminds me of this awesome talk that Lady Gaga did, where she says “How often do you say ‘I’m not going to tell that person how I really feel but I’m going to tweet something very veiled today or I’m gonna instagram something and maybe they’ll understand the subtext of what I’m saying…this is just insanity that this is normal…”

  10. Lurker says:

How does Orly keep landing these women? He’s not the Orly from 2002, he’s the one from now whose career is going nowhere. How is this happening?

    • Myrna says:

I don’t think it’s about Orly at all when it comes to Katy Perry.
She strikes me as someone who doesn’t think much of herself and when a man is interested, she falls hard and fast.
Of course, she’s doing this with men who are emotionally unavailable, it seems.
I watched a Today Show interview with her and John Mayer and cringed that entire time about how she was falling all over him adoringly and he couldn’t have been less interested.
He looked like he was disgusted by her, actually.
I’ve wondered since if she simply latches on too quickly and suffocates these guys.
One would think given her success that she’d be choosier as to who she lets into her life.
It was obvious from the start that she went too fast with Orly making like they were together forever.
      I’m not surprised.

  11. Colette says:

I said the same thing when I saw the fuzzy pictures. Is that all there is, in term of the pictures?

  12. guest says:

what does Selena has to say?

  13. me says:

To me it just seemed as if they were saying “hi” and gave each other a hug. I don’t see the big deal.

  14. Andrea says:

She is like Jennifer Love Hewitt used to be….does anyone remember that?

The only common denominator is her…she needs to look within and only then will she hopefully have a decent relationship.

  15. Lex says:

Did Tay Tay ask her bestie to steal Katy’s boyfriend and humiliate her as a joke?
    Haha

    • FauxOutrage says:

That would be funny if try but in this case Selena and Orly actually have a history that pre-dates his thing with Katy Perry. So it’s unlikely that any third party needed to get involved to get these two together.

      • Lex says:

Oh yeah but even more so – she knows of their previous connection and that he could easily tempted by that baby face (he has a baby face history with Kerr!)

An old flame reuniting is more embarrassing as it’s more emotional as opposed to just physical. More embarrassing!

  16. Sunshine says:

I feel bad for her. This is such a public hmiliation…..but better it happened now than later. And now there is video of them leaving the club in a car together….so yeah, he definately did the dirty on her.

  17. Katia says:

    Grow up, Daddy!

  18. Sara says:

I think her response was subtle but poignant. She has bad choice in men. She can do better than the men she picks. Orlando Bloom? Come on. She’ll eventually find someone decent. Better she found out now rather than later. No use wasting anymore time on a dud. And that’s what he is and all cheaters. Stay single if you want to play the field. Simple

  19. Colette says:

Katy still supporting her man just like I figured she would.
