Azealia Banks is a horrible, hateful person. I was wondering when she would finally be banned. She’s said awful, racist things about every body. I can’t figure out if she is mentally ill, just trolling for attention, or both?

    • claire says:

      I think it’s both.

      • WTW says:

@Claire, yes, I think it’s both. Sadly I really have enjoyed her music. Her Broke With Expensive Taste album is exquisite, but I won’t be buying any more unless she has a complete turnaround. I do think she’s a victim of racism, colorism, sexism and homophobia herself, and she really has internalized her treatment in some awful way. I think she needs help. I wish someone in power would reach out to her and help her. Who knows if she would listen. She’s a brilliant artist, and perhaps she feels she wouldn’t get attention any other way but to behave like this. I do not think she believes everything she says, which doesn’t excuse it. She says she’s voting for Trump and in some ways is very much like he is.

      • claire says:

I don’t know about things she might be a victim of but I often hear that she is super talented and that it’s her abusive tendencies and mental health issues that hold her back. I wonder if she’s ever been evaluated. I don’t know much about her family background – I wonder if they’ve tried to get her help?

      • Mia V. says:

@WTW I also really liked her music, she has talent, but it’s impossible to listen to her without think about all the shit she says.

    • doofus says:

while I agree she should have been banned, I’d like to know why Drumpf is still allowed to be on there.

      not misogynistic/bigoted/xenophobic ENOUGH?…

    • me says:

It’s funny because she acts like she is the biggest victim of racism, when in actuality she is the one spitting out the most disgusting racist and homophobic things. I can’t stand her.

      • Cali says:

She just came out with a statement saying that she is the “victim” of white supremacy, the reason she was banned from Twitter😒

      • Naya says:

Its Azealia Banks. Of course she took a very valid observation (like how white people on twitter do get away with racist crap everyday) and used it to absolve herself of personal responsibility. Thats her thing.

      • Dangles says:

        Good point Naya.

    • NotSoSocialButterfly says:

      Persecutory delusions.

  2. Miss M says:

    Gronko is too much! hahahaha

    • Lilacflowers says:

But where are the kittens? Gronk is best when posing with kittens.

      • Kitten says:

Oh my god that pic of him with the kitten ♥

      • Jwoolman says:

Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff game had a recent football themed event and the Gronk was one of the earnable characters. One of his tasks is to cuddle kittens… Unfortunately, it’s an indoor task so no visuals. A situation I have complained about loudly to anybody who will listen and some who don’t want to. More kittens! More kittens! More kittens! Oh, well. At least I have my adorable Bat Cat flying around my Quahog from last Halloween.

      • Kitten says:

YES, Jwoolman. When will people recognize that kittens make everything better?

Also, I’m watching that episode of Family Guy as soon as I get home.

      • KT says:

I had to google Gronk and kittens…and, ha, that’s just adorable. He’s such a giant doofus but I’d *cough* go on a Gronk cruise. Yep, I’m now judging myself too.

    • Samtha says:

I <3 Gronk. (And I'm a Giants fan!) He always seems so happy.

      • Miss M says:

Seriously, his deflategate video was the best! “There is only one thing you can deflate: deez nuts” lol
        Gronk is riot! hahahaha

  3. Charlotte says:

    Noooo! Not Nashville!!! 🙁

    • lucy2 says:

I’m sad too. It’s not great television, but it’s entertaining enough, and some of the music was great.

      • Carmen says:

They canceled a dozen shows yesterday. Too bad Scandal wasn’t one of them.

      • tealily says:

Different network, but I just read that Sleepy Hollow wasn’t cancelled either! All these shows gulping for their last breaths, and they cancel a really enjoyable one. I’m late to the Nashville party and just caught up recently on Hulu. I hope they are able to tie things up in some way.

      • Tulip says:

Nashville was my guilty pleasure and I hope they bring it back somehow in a few years time.

  4. Tiffany says:

It seems like Banks needs therapy. This is something more than attention seeking. She is now losing work and that is not good.

  5. TJ says:

Twitter is doing the right thing!! Can’t support racial bullying or hate.

  6. The Eternal Side-Eye says:

Smh, she needs to sit the hell down somewhere. Her comments and actions have become so vile it disgusts me. She also needs to take the time to get on some medication and get a little counseling, girl is so mentally ill it’s disturbing.

    • Kitten says:

So tragic. I mean, truly. So much talent but MY GOD, what a mess.
She needs therapy, medication, anger management, the works.

Zayn handled that like a pro, I must say.

    • Goo says:

One racists pig…. I pity her children if, you has any.

  7. HH says:

Ugh! There are so many layers to my issue with / support for banning Azealia Banks. First off, the stuff she said was VILE. And rightfully, she should have been banned. At the same time it’s hard to see an outspoken, young, Black woman get banned, when Donald Trump is allowed to say what he’s saying. It’s hard to see her get so righteously attacked while Woody Allen, a known pedophile, is getting celebrated at the Cannes Film Festival as we speak. It’s hard to see Hollywood rally around some of its sexual predators (of children, men, and women) while this is what pushes people over the edge. It’s hard to see Twitter take a stance on Azealia while women are getting death and rape threats all the time. Please don’t get me wrong. This is not to excuse Banks, this is simply asking where is the line for intolerance? Where is the line for action?

    • Marty says:

Exactly. Are the KKK and neo Nazi leaders going to get their accounts suspended as well?

      • claire says:

If they’re being abusive, harassing people and actually get reported by someone, then, yeah, probably. Twitter isn’t just targeting black women.

      • Sam says:

When people report them. Twitter’s banning function depends on people to report them. Most neo-nazis have very, very few followers and few people know about them, so they rarely get reported. If you’d like to volunteer to search for them and report them, you should. But Twitter relies upon users to self-report and police.

      • Marty says:

@Claire- Did I say that they were only targeting black women? Stop reaching.

@Sam- don’t get me wrong, I’m totally ok with them suspending her account but there were a lot of people in her feed calling her n-word this n-word that so shouldn’t their accounts be suspended as well?

      • THE OG BB says:

I don’t go on Twitter much anymore, but EVERY time I see someone use the n-word, or racist/hateful/homophobic language I report them. I assume Zayn has a big teen fanbase from his One Direction days, and they probably rallied the troops to report AB’s tweets. There have been some pretty vile career trolls banned from there when people bandied together and reported them.

      • Marty says:

So is it the number of times a page gets reported that determines suspension?

    • Santia says:

When you call people actual names like the n word and f word. As much as I hate Trump, he has never come out and called someone an n-word with the “er.” She did by calling Zayn a “sand” n word. She has gone beyond being an “outspoken” black woman to out and out hate speech.

      • Snowflake says:

Yep it’s all in the wording. If you can get your point across without using profanity, you’re good. I doubt they have someone monitoring every single account, probably only comes to attention when a automated systems flags specific words. That was horrible, what she was sayin to Zayn.

      • Sigh... says:

Maybe Twitter has a relatively inforcible policy about “bullying” vs free speech? Her attack(s) was vicious and very directed, unlike Trump’s wide-spread, all-encompassing brand of idiocy.

      • Kitten says:

Exactly this, Santia. But this doesn’t negate the OP’s point, which is a worthy one.

      • claire says:

Yep. People like her are suspended ALL the time on Twitter. By the hour. They have lines for harassment and abuse of other individuals and she crossed them.

    • HH says:

While this has to do with Twitter, my point was also about society as a whole. Azealia’s abusive language came during a distinct time in the national discourse and public image. There is a point to juxtapose it with what we’re seeing. It’s hard to see everyone— across the board— getting upset ay Banks, while people like Trump and Allen are flourishing. Do plenty of people have their issues with the latter two (among others)? Absolutely. But they also have PLENTY of people cheering them on. To the point of their fortunes remaining in tact, and racking up extra cash and fame. While there is truth to wording being more important than the actual content (as in making a point through coded language as opposed to abusive language), I still find this to be interesting and/or problematic. Of course free speech isn’t the same as hate speech and there should be a line.

      • Kitten says:

Yeah I’m still not detecting any lies in what you’re saying here. To me, a lot of what Trump has said IS hate speech. Cloaking it in acceptable language doesn’t change the bottom-line message.

      • Sam says:

I still don’t see the point, to be honest. Allen isn’t lauded by millions – he’s celebrated by a small, wealthy insular group of people who couldn’t care less about what he’s done. But Allen is not really comparable to Banks in terms of situations. Most people I know, average people, think Allen is gross and creepy.

As for Trump, the difference is that while Trump advocates policies and ideas that are really bad and discriminatory, that doesn’t amount to what Banks is saying. Trump is smart enough to not single out individuals. While being hateful towards a large group is a problem, it’s not an dangerous because the anger is more diffuse, generally speaking. Banks singles out individuals and throws hate speech at them. She attacks on immutable characteristics, whereas Trump attacks on actions and behaviors. And don’t get me wrong, I do find what Trump says horrible and I dislike him immensely. However, I also get that while he’s INFLAMATORY, I do not know if he is preaching general hate towards specific groups. Saying “The Chinese are getting over on us in trade” is not the same as saying “The Chinese are terrible people.” He’s smart enough to know that. Banks is clearly not that smart. Trump couches his language in disparaging actions and behaviors, whereas Banks simply attacks on status or immutable characteristics. And in most jurisdictions, that is actually a legal requirement for “hate speech.”

      • HH says:

@Sam – Woody Allen is not simply attending Cannes, he is promoting a film. A film which investors put money in and and expect a return. This leads me to believe that Woody has enough fans and support that he’s still profitable. So no, it’s not just a small group of wealthy people that are supporting him. His image has certainly taken a hit, but not as wide or as drastic as Azealia. And people should be outraged by Banks. No doubt. But people, across the board, should also be outraged by a pedophile. Instead, he’s banking money.

      • Sam says:

HH – a film requires a few wealthy backers, generally. And he actually has not been “profitable” in quite a while. If profit was solely the motivator behind filmmaking, Michael By would be the most in-demand director out there. Woody keeps making films because a small, insular group regards him as an “artiste” who should keep making his “art.” Look at Polanski – he hasn’t had a “hit” in decades, but he keeps getting money from wealthy backers. Why? Because they believe the artist should be free to create, regardless of what kind of human he is. So I think you are mistaken if you think Allen is raking in the money. Very few of his films are “hits” now. He’s a freerider on Hollywood’s hubris.

      • THE OG BB says:

Your comment made total sense. In this case, it just shows how certain people skirt the line and are allowed to continue.

      • HH says:

@Sam – Profitable and being a hit are not necessarily the same thing. If he was not profitable, it means that his films would not be worth the time/money spent on them. As in, the film is in the negative, breaks even, or makes slightly above money spent, but not enough to justify future investment. I highly doubt Allen is losing money or simply breaking even. He’s making enough money that people are coming back. It’s all about the art until you mess up someone’s bank account. If there were widespread boycotts of his films and they bombed and lost money, then we’d see how far his art takes him.

    • Annaloo. says:

I have no problem seeing her banned. I don’t see her as a young outspoken black woman, I see her as a confrontational jerk who is always looking for a bloody fight. There is a galaxy of difference between outspoken young black women like Amandla Stenberg and someone like Azealia Banks. Banks goes from 0 to NUCLEAR which is the worst way to deal with any situation and I’m sick of people like this. I hate Trump, but even I will begrudge that he doesn’t use offensive slurs in the public sphere, though he is pretty obnoxious.

      • HH says:

THIS particular instance is not her being outspoken. This is just her being abusive. I’m not excusing THIS particular confrontation. But she has called out many issues of oppression, albeit with poor word choice.

I’m not trying to come off as an Azealia apologist, I’m just trying analyze the situation through a different lens. Using different approaches to look at a situation doesn’t negate the any of the other approaches. As I’ve stated, it is valid that she was banned. Twitter was in the right. I’ve just found it interesting the sheer widespread disdain she’s met with versus others in the public at present.

      • Sam says:

But to me, those other times mean nothing. A blind squirrel occasionally finds a nut. On rare occasions, I have agreed with Donald Trump (for instance, when he was on the right side of the trans bathroom issue). Trump being right once in a while does not make him a decent person or worthy of respect. There is nothing Banks has said that somebody else has not said in a better way. To me, paying any attention her, even when right, simply 1.) validates her and 2.) subs her in for another person who is actually worthy of the attention she gets. Her occasional rightness is not a reason to pay her any mind.

      • HH says:

@Sam – This is not simply about Azealia and or this one instance. And I’m not sure how everyone keeps missing the point in its full context. One does not have to be a fan of hers to understand the point being made.

And yes, other people have said things better. But other celebrities have also made it a point to play respectability politics.

Its odd that Azealia is in no way respectable to the public at large in a year that we have a racist, bigot, and misogynist as the presumptive GOP nominee for President. If that juxtaposition misses all of you, there’s nothing further that can be said.

      • THE OG BB says:

HH- I totally get it. Why is thinly veiled hate speech not seen as troubling as full out ranting like AB does? Both should be troubling. Just because Trump doesn’t use the terms Azealia did does not mean his fervent supporters haven’t been spurred on by him to use similar language.

      • HH says:

Thank you OG. People are on here acting as though I called for a reinstatement. She was rightfully blocked and suspended.

      • Veronica says:

Why is his lack of use of slurs somehow less offensive if the prejudiced implications are still there? There are entire demographics he’s vilifying here – at their risk, not his. I ask this honestly, because that to me is far more dangerous than outright racism. Coded racism can be far more damaging BECAUSE it’s not as easy to isolate and examine.

As for Stedberg comment…I have to be frank – I hate the idea of “tone argument.” To me, that this is one of the most insidious ways that we silence minorities. This idea of the oppressed having to engage the mainstream “appropriately” is so dangerous – as if only the Stedberg’s of the world have a right to a voice because they produce a more palatable image of social activism. If you really want to examine historical oppression honestly, you have to confront the all the unhappy repercussions that stem from it – not just the Stedbergs but the Banks, as well. There are entirely legitimate reasons why blacks people may hate white people in this country – and I suspect a lot of it stems from the disconnect of a society where Trump is a joke to mass media but a legitimate terror to minorities.

      • The Eternal Side-Eye says:

“If you really want to examine historical oppression honestly, you have to confront the all the unhappy repercussions that stem from it – not just the Stedbergs but the Banks, as well. I just have to say this was legitimately beautiful and true. Banks disgusts me, the things she says is awful, but God if she’s not like internalized hatred and racial anger come to life. She’s a lit match threatening to burn herself and everyone around her because she can’t take it anymore.

It doesn’t make her okay, it just makes her a reality, and to be clear – she’s not the first, last, or only. People like her need to be helped and addressed in a way that starts to heal those wounds.

    • Otaku Fairy says:

      Good point.

      • kay says:

        this is to HH:
        very well said. very true.
the dissonance is glaring, and the ‘justifications’ actually just further highlight this.
        thank you.

      • HH says:

Thanks, Kay. And I agree 100%.

    • Samtha says:

Banks also went after a 14-year-old girl with some pretty nasty, inappropriate comments. Personally, I think that’s what finally got her suspended.

Plus, some communities (like ONTD) were mass reporting her the night she went off the rails. You have to imagine the crazed Zayn fans were too.

    • Veronica says:

Yeah…I think she’s an asshole in a lot of ways and accountable for it, but I do think there’s this certain element of her problematic nature that scares people because of what parts of it are legitimate. Banks is what can result from poverty and abuse and economic exploitation gone unmitigated. Banks is years of internalized racism and sexism exploding violently without the normal controls that healthy adults have to stem it. Banks is the hatred that comes from living in a society that endlessly degrades you because of your skin color, your sex, your economic status. Banks is what happens when you have none of the psychological tools at your disposal to learn how to redirect that into productive energy.

Does she deserve to be called out for her behavior? Absolutely. But do I think small part of what makes her so disturbing is some of that “black people refusing to be safe for white consumption?” Yeah, probably. And part of that contributes to how we as a society sanitize the repercussions of our racial history – because we have the power to say “her tone is unacceptable” while the victims of these social mechanisms may not have any voice at all.

      • Bootsie says:

        Well said

      • ClaireB says:

I would very much like for Celebitchy to have a like or up button, so I could give this comment all the respect it deserves!

      • HH says:

        THIS. This all day.

Banks was most assuredly in the wrong and should be held accountable. It’s also worthy to point out she was vilified, while we have someone who has specifically used racism, bigotry, and misogyny as *tools* to run a presidential campaign. And he was SUCCESSFUL. Let that sink in for a sec.

      • The Eternal Side-Eye says:

Another beautiful and well explored comment.

  8. edith says:

did you guys miss out the azealia banks/skai jackson drama that happened afterwards? That was messy

    • Santia says:

I was so happy when Skai read her for filth. Skai mopped the floor with Banks’s weave.

      • Sigh... says:

Yeah, I mentioned it in yesterday’s links (when someone brought up the *other* feud). The whole thing was RIDICULOUS, but TEENAGE Jackson did hold her own without rebutting to “ADULT” Banks’ with her go-to line of defense and ignorance (to grossly and sloppily attack age, looks, gender, class, race, orientation, etc).

And all Banks did was reiterate what was said that started it: she needs to calm down.

    • The Eternal Side-Eye says:

Skating Jackson earned her place in the ‘Read Them For Filth’ club with that battle, little Disney girl is going places!

  9. QQ says:

AB HAS to be mentally unwell like levels on level not even really trying to pop off jokes off this chick cause it isn’t funny, sh1t I almost forgot she isn’t well and Dragged her with Skai but then I remembered and left it alone all together , that said the #azealiaBanksGotBannedPaty twitter hashtag is everything

  10. Snowflake says:

Did you guys know George Zimmermann is putting up for auction the tub he used to kill treyvon? Sickening. Was on local news, got kicked off one auction site, then he listed it on another, can’t remember the name.

    • Santia says:

He is getting trolled, though. The high “bid” right now is $65,000,000 by – wait for it – Racist McShootFace! I’m sure there will be private buyers lining up, but the people “bidding” have ensured he’s not getting a thing from this auction.

I’m really confused by the fact that Trayvon’s parents have not filed a civil action against him (ala Goldmans to OJ). That would make certain that ANY money he gets would go to them (assuming they win).

      • hogtowngooner says:

Yep, “Tamir Rice” even has a few bids in! It’s few and far between, but sometimes the internet can be a good place.

      • mary mary says:

I am hoping the Martin’s attorney(s) can file a civil suit with restitution for and garnish any profits made off this crime.

I also try to give the benefit of the doubt, but there isn’t any doubt when GZ was told to stay in the vehicle by the police dispatcher. Had GZ followed the police dispatcher’s instructions, to stay in his car, with his gun. Trayvon would have made it home to enjoy his Skittles and sweet tea.

I believe GZ is a pathological liar and he lied to the press that the firearm was “An American Firearm Icon” that the Smithsonian Institute wanted to acquire this. The Smithsonian replied on Thursday, May 12, 2016, that wasn’t true at all.

    • Wonderbunny says:

      Wow. That’s just…wow.

I tend to give the benefit of the doubt to people and try to see all the sides of a story. I just can’t see how any decent person would auction a gun that was used to kill another human being, especially in such a high profile case. No matter how much you would need the money.

      Sickening is the right word.

      • Tiffany :) says:

He isn’t a decent human being. He actually name checked “B. Hussein Obama” in his written bit about the gun. He is an extremist and also playing to them.

      • Samtha says:

He is a vile person, full stop. If you look at his actions since the verdict, there’s just no question.

      • kay says:

i try to keep my violent outrage on the down low, but he seriously makes me fantasize about mob vigilante justice. i *know* that is wrong, and ultimately does not address any real issues, yet i still dream of it here and there.

      • Wonderbunny says:

I’m not American so I haven’t really been aware of anything after the verdict, nor am I privy to the details of the case. Being passive aggressive towards political figures or trying to justify your actions by blaming others is not so uncommon. People tend to do that. However, to try to sell a weapon used to kill a teenager and to market it as such? That just crosses the line to something really bad. He’s lost his soul.

    • ClaireB says:

He’s such a monster. A vile example of the worst of humanity.

  11. paolanqar says:

She is seriously batshit crazy. Not even funny anymore. Somebody needs to help her.

Blake and Anne need to burn their clothes. seriously eye-damaging.

  12. Sam says:

The thing I loved about the Banks mess is that she’s not only hateful, she’s a moron. Like, grade-A. She started by calling Zayn “Punjab” without realizing that Zayn is half-Pakistani, not Indian. She then said his mother is a “dirty refugee” – but it’s Zayn’s father who is not white (and he was born in the UK). Zayn’s mom is Irish and also native to the UK. If you’re going to try to actually insult people ethnically, could you at least bother to be..correct in your insults?

(And do not judge me for knowing Zayn’s background. I have little sisters who are 1D fans. I learned this through osmosis, nothing more!)

    • V4Real says:

“I have little sisters who are 1D fans.”

Sure you do. Don’t worry it’s ok. We all have our secrets.

Just kidding but I do like Zayn’s “Pillow talk” That song is hot.

And I thought he was the best singer in the group…oops, did I just say that? 🙂

    • Colette says:

Sam ,come out the closet and admit you love 1D.
      It’s OK,Boo.

      • Sam says:

No, really. I was always more of a Wanted fan. It’s caused great strife within the family. My younger siblings are devoted Directioners. I’m telling the truth, honest!

    • pinetree13 says:

I don’t understand why Zayn started this though. Don’t get me wrong, everything she did was wrong but I also think it was super rude that Zayn said “too good for you a$$” when she called him a cutie pie.

But whoa, was I ever shocked by her responses to that. It was SHOCKING

      • Samtha says:

I think he said “too good for your @”–as in he wasn’t going to use her @whateverhernameis Twitter handle/name check her directly. Of course, there’s a double entendre there.

      • MellyMel says:

Yeah he didn’t say that lol! He actually came back and asked why she was talking about him at all cause he wasn’t even referring to her. He didn’t start anything. AB is just racist and mentally unstable.

      • kay says:

and, agree. i was surprised at his response. i also don’t understand why he claims he wasn’t responding to her?
not standing behind her unreal responses, btw, but based on how reactive she can be…not shocked she flipped out.

      • Veronica says:

I found that rather disengenuous on his part, myself. I thought it was pretty obvious he was responding to her, and that’s fine to call her out, but don’t front like you weren’t after it explodes.

  13. Rhiley says:

I never paid attention to either of these people, but her words are horrible and hateful and make me totally TEAM ZAYN. Take your words to Donald Trump rally; they aren’t wanted here.

  14. Kitten says:

Call me, Zayn. I’ll make you feel better..

  15. The Original Mia says:

I think she finally got banned because she went after a minor. She thought she’d send Skai Jackson running, but Banks was wrong and got throughly dragged by a 14 year old. She’s mentally unstable and hopefully she’ll get some help since she’s no longer got this platform to share her crazy on.

    • Santia says:

I hear she’s on Instagram still going off. Apparently, she’s being “persecuted” when she was “only defending herself” cause Zayne copied the concept of one her videos (or something – I couldn’t be bothered to find out what caused the crazy to come out of her again).

  16. Norman Bates's Mother says:

I wouldn’t personally live tweet my period and I don’t see how informing my real and social media friends about what type of feminine products I choose would be empowering, but a couple of months ago, after our current government proposed the new legislation, which would entirely ban abortion in Poland (up until now, it was allowed when the mother was raped or when her life was in danger), thousands of women started writing their daily period updates on our prime minister’s facebook page. She got flooded with essay-length messages describing every tiny little detail, up to the density and color of their period blood. It was done to show the politicians that if they are so interested in female physiology and want to decide what we can or cannot do with our bodies, they should be interested in all our bodily functions. That really was something empowering and it started an important conversation about equality and feminism in all major news outlets.

    • Snowflake says:

That’s awesome, all those posts! Lol. I can’t believe abortion is banned in so many places. Abortion in the US has been allowed since, I think, the 70s. I took the right to have an abortion as normal till I read your post. Amazing to think, that in this day and age, there are women who do not have the rights that we do as Americans to decide what to do with our bodies.

      • pinetree13 says:

Not every state in America has access. Did you watch the John Oliver special on it? There was a 13 year old rape victim IN AMERICA that was told she would have to go to another state if she wanted one, which she could not afford to do so they effectively forced her to have her rapists baby. At 13. Not too mention if Republicans get in power that will be one of the first things they do…make it hard, if not impossible, to get one. To me America would not be the country I’d pick to hold up as the example of easy legal access. For many demographics it can be just as bad as if they were living in a country that out right outlaws them.

      • tealily says:

@Snowflake, please DON’T take it for granted! That’s exactly how we’ll lose it. It’s already being made more difficult and more difficult for women to jump through the hoops.

    • kay says:

      polish women ftw.
what an absolutely brilliant strategy, with a solid message behind it.

    • Veronica says:

It’s about normalizing female bodies rather than turning them into objects for sexual consumption or derision. If we can advertise SI’s swimsuit edition at the grocery store and advertise for Viagra on afternoon television, we can not throw hissy fits about mentions of periods, yeah? The methodology is questionable, but I understand the sentiment behind it.

  17. amilu says:

“Banned” makes it sound like it’s permanent. I’ve seen the term “suspended” elsewhere…which sounds disappointingly temporary.

  18. zinjojo says:

Nothing like a divorce announcement on a Friday afternoon. James McAvoy and Anne-Marie Duff have announced they’re splitting. Hope there’s a post this Sunday so we can discuss. This one makes me really sad 🙁

  19. TOPgirl says:

So happy to see this unhappy person is Gone..offline..hopefully forever.

  20. Kate says:

Did I hallucinate that Russell Brand is having a baby with his girlfriend? I thought I read that somewhere.

    • Snowflake says:

Yes, I think there was a post or link on it either here or the daily mail where i saw it.

  21. Sarah01 says:

I’m glad she’s off, she is not a cause worth fighting for. She is extremely racist and xenophobic. I can’t stand her and people like her.

  22. jesb says:

Omg gay moments of soccer was everything! Just everything. I love Europeans lol 🙂

  23. drnotknowitall says:

    Bwahahahahaha George Zimmerman.

  24. A. Key says:

Why didn’t someone ban Trump from politics in time?
I still can’t believe he started from a joke and became the actual Republican candidate.
And here you were saying Celebitchy that people in Europe were exaggerating their fear of Trump and how no one takes him seriously in America. Sure. And still half the country is voting for him.

How the hell did America go from Obama to Trump so fast???

  25. NeNe says:

I can honestly say I have no friggen clue who she is. I know she’s been talking alot of crap, but that I believe was just to put the attention on her.

  26. A. Key says:

And I just read what Banks wrote to Zayn.

    OMG.

Wow, she should join the neo-Nazi party, she’d fit right in with her attitude.

  27. Marianne says:

I kind of feel that Azealia is the kind of person who is so bitter that her career didnt turn out the way she wanted/expected so she does this to stay relevant.

  28. Classy and Sassy says:

It’s such a shame, because I think she’s wicked talented; her album was sublime listening. But it wouldn’t surprise me if she had some sort of personality disorder. No one can be so unhinged without something being up. Sad, because she pretty much destroyed her career before it ever really happened. That second album is looking more and more unlikely.

  29. Jill says:

She’s a racist in nature and a hypocrite by choice..
