Justin Bieber’s Cleveland street brawl: photo request or hurt feelings?

wenn23781507

I was just asking myself the other day ‘I wonder what Justin Bieber is up to?’ One must always be careful when asking the universe these questions because there is always a chance the universe will vomit the answer all over you. Wednesday, about 11pm, Bieber got into some fisticuffs outside of his Cleveland hotel. Here is the video, both actual and Slo Mo:

I have re-watched this thing several times and I can’t figure out if that guy who takes Bieber to the ground is a bodyguard shielding him from harm or is he is taking a swing at him at the very end. TMZ doesn’t elaborate on the players but claims that Bieber ultimately got owned.

Justin Bieber got into an all-out street brawl with a guy much bigger than him Wednesday night in Cleveland.

TMZ obtained this video of Bieber, shot shortly after 11 PM, outside his hotel in downtown Cleveland — he was face-to-face with the guy, who threw a light blow at Justin’s head. That’s when Justin uncorked a right to his face … and then it’s on!

Several people were standing nearby and tried to jump in, but the fight ends up spilling to the ground.

It’s unclear what started the scrap. Bieber was in town for the game 3 of the NBA Finals, and was wearing a Cleveland Cavaliers shirt … so it could be post-game trash talk. Also, witnesses say Bieber was getting peppered with requests for photos, and we know how he feels about that.

[From TMZ]

Why was Biebie so punchy? My theory is he was a little touchy after his chilly reception from his fellow Cavalier fans at the NBA Finals earlier that night. He went to the game with friends, including Lewis Hamilton, and cheered on his team from a luxury box. But when the Jumbotron showed Bieber in all his Cavalier-fan finery, the stadium booed in unison. Ouch!

So was that the catalyst for him to engage in this ill-advised kerfuffle? Or maybe he is lashing out about the rumored romance between his primary ex Selena Gomez and his buddy Neymar Jr.? I don’t know what his motivation was but I do know that Baby Biebs should not be throwing punches at people who tower over him.

If just can’t get enough Bieber, his new video, Company, just came out. I kind of like the song in a I’ll-listen-to-it-if-it-comes-on-the-radio kind of way but bear in mind if you watch it that the purpose of this mini documentary is to show you how much toil goes into a Bieber album and tour. I mention that because it’s kind of hard to tell between the snowboarding, skateboarding and swimming in picturesque locales. WARNING: Biebie likes to walk around without his shirt and with his pants falling off.

I’m feeling kind of sorry for him these days. It looks like the other guy started it, from what I can see. I guess he has a right to defend himself. I’m afraid of how this is going to end, even though I don’t like him much.

    • Snowflake says:

no Justin pushed him first. Then the guy pushed back and they started scuffling

    • fq1qqueq says:

What happened to Little Maple Leaf Dou che’s bodyguards? He usually has them doing the fighting for him.

    • HH says:

Same. And say what you will, but Justin threw a solid right punch. That guy was huge, there’s no way Justin was going to win, but he got a good hit in. I wouldn’t let someone slap me around. The question is where were his bodyguards??

    • Veronica says:

We don’t know the verbal exchange beforehand, but it does look like Bieber got physical first. I think he’s headed for a crash and burn. It’s pretty obvious that any enjoyment he could glean from this lifestyle has been sucked dry.

  2. NewWester says:

Justin really needs to take some time away from the public eye and make some positive changes in his life. But unfortunately he seems to have leeches attached to him( family, friends) that are only around because of the money and lifestyle.
He is still a douche canoe in many ways though, he may have to hit rock bottom before he decides to change

  3. Samtha says:

What’s sad is that he actually does have talent and could do more with his life. Getting famous at such a young age completely ruined him.

  4. Kimbers says:

He needs a sabbatical, rehab, spirit journey…something besides the cameras. I dont feel sorry for him, bc after he fulfills his contracts he can disappear from eyes. Maybe get friends who are not in the business? Take an online class? Go hiking? Boy has options. Maybe his manager sucks and leaks stuff?

    • tiny martian says:

Agreeing with you, Kimbers. A rite of passage, maybe? Maybe if he was sent off into the woods for a week with nothing but a hatchet, he’d learn a few lessons about true strength, independence and maturity……not to mention humility!

  5. swak says:

DM has a story that it was about an autograph and also how “friends” are worried he’s going to have a break down. I want to feel sorry for these celebs, but they have the money to take a year off, stay out of the lime light and get it together. Getting famous at a young age can ruin you, but I’ll put money on it that there are more child celebs that make it and aren’t in the tabs for bad behavior than there are that are douche bags. I taught 30 years and the majority of the problems came from 5% of the students.

  6. Insomniac says:

Oh my goodness. This much schadenfreude just *can’t* be good for me. I knew that sooner or later that little pipsqueak was going to pick a fight with the wrong person.

And if he’s tired and burned out and overwhelmed and wants nothing to do with fans? Then go away. Take a year off. Unlike most of us he’s got the money to do that.

  7. Dana says:

If it has all become to much just go away for a year or five either would be appreciated. He has more money then sense he is already falling down the slope of has been hope he hasnt wasted all his cash. I dont think he is that talented maybe a new career?

  8. Tiffany says:

Could not have happened to a nicer person. First, he pulled this crap and security was there and now he is trying it again and we finally see what we all already knew, he would get his ass handed to him. I have no sympathy, he get getting his. It just came at a slower pace than predicted.

  9. Skins says:

Doesn’t Biebs train with Floyd Mayweather? I guess he thinks he is a tough guy, especially with all those bodyguards ready to back him up

  10. One2 says:

I think he’s going through a hard time beacuse he’s trying to be recognized as an adult artist but his fan base is still young teens. He’s still seen as a kid and he probably hates that. Im not much older than him and i look at him like he’s a teenager. Granted he does act very immature, so i can understand why he’s treated how he’s treated.

  11. This Face Believes You says:

Mark my words, this is the beginning of Britney 2.0. Justin’s path was always going to be difficult, but the saddest part is he never really had much of a chance. He was discovered at 13 and world famous by 14. Millions of dollars, millions of fans, and no one to say “no”. Most well adjusted adults wouldn’t react well to such a drastic change in circumstances. And well adjusted was never very likely for Justin even before fame. Raised by a dirt poor teenage single mother who’s own childhood consisted of repeated sexual assaults (to the point she thought people using her was normal), drug and alcohol use, and her own overwhelming desire to make it big. It sounds as if the father was absent for at least a few years…. until his son became a star of course. Then daddy dearest is sitting next to him in the Ferrari with the other young rappers and a bevy of young models, doing God knows what. It will be a miracle if this kid has any sort of normal happy future.

    • Erica_V says:

I hear what you’re saying but he started off as a YouTube star. He put himself out there. He WANTED to be discovered. He WANTED to be famous.I understand you may not fully understand what that means at such a young age (even though there are multiple examples for someone to see before hand) but don’t act like he was dragged kicking and screaming into the life of a pop star. He actively sought out that life. And he got it.

    • Miss M says:

I know nothing about his personal life and his parents. I came here to say this seems so much like Britney Spears public meltdown. I hope not!!!!

  12. manda says:

He’s a cavs fan? That just seems funny. The clevelanders were worried he’d jinx the game. As a clevelander I can say, we’re just tired of not winning. We want to win one, ok?

    • celtlady says:

Clevelander here, too. Biebs and his jinx must have been at the Friday night game. It was painful.

  13. Tifygodess24 says:

His cocky attitude is the problem. He thinks he is better and above everyone and everything. One of these days he’s going to mess with the wrong person and he’s done. Watch.
I’m not going to sit here and feel bad for a grown man because “oh he had it so tough being a child star” Bull. He is an adult now, he is well aware of what’s right and what’s wrong and he also has the money for the best resources out there. He just feels too entitled for that. When do we stop blaming everyone else and look at ourselves?

  14. Agnes says:

Bieber is definitely going for the huge guy. This is not his bodyguard, this is the man he fights with. Twice his size.

  15. Goodnight says:

I got as far as the opening shot where Biebs is standing next to a Greek statue to oh-so-subtly and modestly compare his body to epitome of perfection and could go no further.
