Representatives from Orange County Social Services along with two detectives from the La Habra police department paid a visit to Nadya Suleman’s home yesterday afternoon. They stayed for 45 minutes and left after interviewing Suleman. Social Services was investigating a report to Child Protective Serices from her son Aidan’s teacher. Aidan, 3, has a black eye and a bite mark on his back. Suleman explained in an interview aired on RadarOnline that he got the black eye when he was have a tantrum and fell on a desk. The bite mark on his back is from his brother, Caleb, 2, who is aggressive and can even be seen fighting with Aidan in the video. At some points Caleb is hitting the camera and he seems upset that his mom is paying more attention to the interviewer than him. Sulman said it’s her fault that Social Services came to the home because she didn’t see a note Aidan’s teacher put on his bag asking her about his injuries and they only came when she didn’t respond.

Ever the fibbing self-promoter, Suleman claimed that everything went fine and that Social Services even complimented her on how well organized her home was:

The La Habra Police Department and Social Services of Orange County paid a visit to Nadya Suleman’s home Wednesday. Suleman says they told her they were there to investigate a claim of neglect. Detectives and child welfare officials were in the home in the early afternoon on Wednesday before returning for a 45 minute interview on Wednesday afternoon. After the meeting, the officials left and no children were removed from the home.

Suleman says she thinks her son Aidan’s teacher made the call to authorities after he went to school with a black eye and a bite mark on his back from one of his siblings. The Octo-Mom said the teacher had put a note in her son’s backpack, but she hadn’t seen it until Tuesday, and assumes the teacher alerted authorities when she didn’t respond. Suleman said she doesn’t expect a follow-up visit and that she isn’t upset that the officials investigated the claims. She said they asked her how many nannies were in the home at one time and what kind of disciplinary action she took with the kids, and before leaving, commented on how well-organized her home was.

Social Services of Orange County wouldn’t comment on the investigation, citing confidentiality laws. Suleman said that because Aidan is autistic, he often bumps into things, and that she believes he actually got the black eye at school.

Radar says in the text quoted above that Suleman thinks Aidan got the black eye at school, but she described an incident in the video where he supposedly fell on a desk at home. It’s hard to tell considering how much she lies.

I hate to defend this woman, but my four and half year-old son is very active and a few months ago he got a black eye from jumping on the couch and falling on a wooden coffee table. You can tell him not to jump on the couch, but accidents happen with kids and it doesn’t mean you’re neglecting them. Kids often bite at age two and my son went through a brief biting phase. Social Services was right to investigate, but it takes a lot to remove a child from a home and bumps and bruises are part of childhood.

If Social Services came to my home like that I would be mortified though. Suleman is typically downplaying everything and acting like it all worked out fine. That’s how she ended up single with more than a baker’s dozen kids at home all under seven. Given how much we see her shopping alone, getting tattoos and having her nails done it doesn’t seem like she’s even spending time with her eight premature babies, not to mention her six other kids. There are nannies, though, and she’s going to continue acting oblivious while she makes herself pretty, shops, and gets her picture taken. Lack of attention from mom could explain why Caleb is acting out like that and taking it out on his brother. It makes you wonder how much her other kids are suffering from her selfish behavior.
